We present differential cross sections for /sup 13/C(..pi../sup +/,..pi../sup -/) /sup 13/ O(g.s.) and /sup 13/C(..pi../sup +/,..pi../sup -/) /sup 13/ O(4.21 MeV) near the ..delta../sub 33/ resonance. The former exhibits a slowly varying angular distribution between 0/sup 0/ and 50/sup 0/, but the excited state angular distribution shows diffractive features observed formerly only in J/sup ..pi../ = 0/sup +/ to 0/sup +/ nonanalog double-charge-exchange reactions.
