Cocoon filament reelability is one of the important economic traits of silkworm(Bombyx mori).To find specific proteins related to high cocoon filament reelability,the silkworm strain B84(yellow cocoon color) with high cocoon filament reelability and Fengyi(white cocoon color) with normal cocoon filament reelability were used as materials to conduct proteomic analysis and identification on the substance in middle silk gland lumen from the mature larvae of these two silkworm strains by utilizing two-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE) and matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS).341 and 363 protein spots were detected from the substance in middle silk gland lumen of Fengyi and B84 respectively.These proteins included a large number of functional proteins which have no relationship with sericin.For instance,there were serine protease inhibitors that have protective effect to silk fibroin.In the substance of middle silk gland lumen of B84,apart from carotenoid binding proteins that are involved in cocoon color formation,specific Sericin 2 protein and carbohydrate metabolism related enzymes were also identified.It was inferred that these proteins might be the underlying reason for high cocoon filament reelability of B84 due to the existence of Sericin 2 in cocoon shell as well and the influence of glycan chain on protein adhesion.

Sericin is one of the main component of cocoon filament,which acts as agglomerant and overlayer to fibroin.Sericin has been widely used in cosmetic,functional fabric,biomaterial,food and biomedical industry.Three sericin genes have been identified,Ser1,Ser2,and Ser3,which are tissuespecifically expressed in middle silk gland(MSG).Three protein-binding sites have been identified in the upstream region of Ser1 gene:SA,SB,and SC.It was found that silk gland factor-1(SGF-1) binds to the SA site,and silk gland factor-3(SGF-3) binds to the SC and SB site.Ser1 is transcribed only in 150 cells of the posterior MSG.At the beginning of fifth instar,Ser2 gene is expressed in all middle silk gland cells,but later its expression is restricted to the anterior MSG.However,Ser3 gene is expressed exclusively in anterior part of MSG.This paper summarized research achievement and problems unsolved in sericin gene research.
Lymphocyte morphological observation,lymphocyte labelling and MTT method were used to observe the effects of tilmicosin and metronidazole alone or combination on peripheral blood lymphocyte transformation rates,ANAE positive rates and lymphocyte proliferations in pigs.The results showed that 0.25~100 μg/mL of metronidazole promoted the proliferation and transformation of lymphocytes in vitro and 2.5~10 mg/kg of metronidazole increased the number of mature T lymphocytes in vivo,which suggested that metronidazole could enhance cellular immunity.However,the results of tilmicosin were similar to those of negative control whether in vitro or in vivo,indicating this antibiotic did not promote or inhibit lymphocyte proliferations,and thus could not influence cellular immunity.
In order to conduct quantitative analysis for traffic accidents,the SPSS software is used for the examination of the basic situations of traffic accidents of a county in 2004.Through charts,clustering,correlation,partial correlation and regression,it is shown that the main factors that lead to the direct econmic losses are not the number of death and accidents,but the number of the injured.The authors in the paper analyze all the possible causes of the accidents from different angles and have offered the following suggestions to solve the problem.They are:the supervision for traffic should be strengthened at weekends;more staff should be sent for channeling traffic and they should work for longer time;there should be more work for traffic supervision during fine days;more educational work should be offered to both the drivers and passers-by;and publicity work,the clearing up of free markets near roads and improvement of black spots should be strengthened.

Four commercial silkworm varieties, Fengyi, Xinhang, Baiyun and 54A, were rejuvenated and their F1 hybrids were compared with that of the present commercial lines. Results showed that there were same in the performance of fifth instar duration and larval duration, and similar in survival rate. However,most of the productivity traits were improved. Therefore, the rejuvenated lines were improved not only in its pure lines, but also in their F1 hybrid, and suggested to be used for commercial production.

The commercial silkworm (Bombyx mori) variety with the character of spinning in flat-way was bred based on its genetic background. Comparison experiments were carried out between the new variety with other nine practical varieties and also among its hybrids mating with different Chinese strains. It was found that ZAU2 showed higher spun silk rate than other silkworm varieties when spinning in flat-way, and its hybrids mating with some Chinese strains performed similarly to the control in vitality but significantly higher spun silk rate when spinning in flat-way.

Four commercial silkworm races,Fengyi,Xinhang,Baiyun and 54A,were rejuvenated and compared with the present commercial lines.Results showed that almost all the productivity traits were improved.Larval duration was a little longer in the rejuvenated lines of Xinhang and Baiyun.While the survival rate of the rejuvenated Xinhang was decreased significantly,the rejuvenated line of 54A was higher compared with the commercial line and there was no significant difference shown in Fengyi.The cocoon weight and cocoon shell weight of the rejuvenated lines were all improved in this breeding plan.The number of good eggs of rejuvenated lines was also improved except Xinhang.This research showed that the productivity traits of the rejuvenated lines were better than the commercial line and suggested to be used for commercial production.
Experiment on toxicity of Dimethylformamide to silkworm larvae showed that oral administration of Dimethylformamide in very high concentration( higher than 10%v/v) could cause lethal effect. However,there was no chronic toxicity to silkworm larvae when its concentration is lower than 20%. With the silkworm larvae grow up, it showed higher tolerant of Dimethylformamide. Moreover, accumulative toxicity effect of DMF on silkworm larvae was observed by continuous feeding with DMF treated mulberry leaves.
Silkworm breeding of new varieties with special characters has achieved great progress so as to meet the need of multi purposes in sericulture industry and other utilization. It can be briefly divided into two categories, that is, those used for silk production such as silkworm varieties with only male larvae, super-fine filament, super-coarse filament, artificial diet adaptable, natural color cocoon , and those for non-silk production such as silkworm varieties with silk spinning in flat way, pure sericin-cocoon, specific for bio-reactor, for food and drug purpose.

A positive primers were designed based on the mRNA of the F-Glycoprotein of the Newcastle Disease virus.At the same time,the negative primers which were designed based on positive primers can completely combine with positive primers.FAM was labelled on the 5'end of the positive primers and DABCYL was labelled on the 3' end of the negative primers.When positive primers were hybridized with negative primers,the fluorescence generated by FAM was quenched by DABCYL.Then the fluorescent double-stranded primers were formed,and they can be used to detectd Newcastle Disease virus and other 4 species virus including of AIV,ILTV,IBV and MG.The experiment showed that no signal was detected for the others except Newcastle Disease virus.The assay gives better specificity,good reproducibility and high sensitivity to the NDV,so it is prospective in the clinical diagnosis and quarantine on the export and import in detecting the NDV.
The gene mutation without fibroin production from the silkworm germplasm resources was utilized in the present breeding program by hybridization and target gene selection techniques,a special silkworm race with pure-sericin-cocoon character was bred for the efficient production of high quality sericin.Moreover,the gene to control of the production of flavonoid was integrated into sericin production,so as to provide special material for its use in healthy food,medicine and exclusive cosmetic products.
以体重320~350 g的(鱼免)鱼(Miichthys miiuy)为实验材料,研究(鱼免)鱼消化酶的分布及不同pH值条件下胃、肝胰脏、幽门、前肠、后肠中蛋白酶的活性.结果表明,蛋白酶在各消化器官的比活力顺序:胃>肝胰脏>前肠>幽门>后肠,数值分别为:439.75±6.82、404.46±11.64、255.42±2.41、123.23±0.46、49.39±2.81;淀粉酶比活力顺序为:幽门>肝胰脏>前肠>胃>后肠,数值分别为:3 107.82±84.57、2 420.72±52.85、2 336.15±10.57、1 617.34±31.71、1 247.36±21.14;脂肪酶比活力顺序:肝胰脏>幽门>前肠>后肠,数值分别为:177.99±0.23、80.79±6.97、46.69±5.06、42.76±2.25.胃、肝胰脏、前肠、幽门、后肠的蛋白酶最适pH值分别是1.9、9.0、8.4、9.0、8.0.研究表明:(鱼免)鱼的胃含有较高的胃蛋白酶及淀粉酶活性,在食物消化中起了重要作用.肝胰脏的蛋白酶、淀粉酶及脂肪酶的总酶活比其它消化器官都高,因此认为肝胰脏是消化酶的主要分泌器官.
Local(Hepu) wild rice with good adaptability and breeding materials IR2061,and IR611 were used to develop a series of elite lines by single crossing,multiple crossing,and thereafter by pedigree selection with many generations and many lines.A male sterile line Bo A was employed to testcross these elite lines,and one of these lines No.679 was the best in terms of its hybrid when crossed with the male sterile line Bo A,and this hybrid was named Boyou 679.This hybrid was evaluated in Guangxi new variety test and production test in 2003,2004 respectively.With the result of high yield,good quality,and good resistance capability,it was certified by Guangxi,and appointed to be one of the leading varieties in Guangxi in January 2005,and was being planted on a large scale in the Guangxi,Guangdong,and Hainan provinces.
