This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the development of human resource management based on artificial intelligence. In terms of the purpose, the present research is an applied-developmental research and in terms of the method of data collection, survey-cross-sectional. The community of participants of the qualitative part includes 20 human resource management professors and managers of the Financial Affairs Organization, who selected through purposive sampling. A semi-structured interview and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect the data, and data analysis was performed in the qualitative section of Barosh, using the content analysis and Maxqda software, and in the quantitative section, the importance-performance analysis method was used with the SPSS software. The results showed that, in the field of expert human resources, the value of importance and performance are very close to each other and there is a significant difference. It does not exist. In the field of artificial intelligence management and technical factors, human resources development, traditional human resources system, human resources resistance, human resources management development opportunities, economic, legal and security issues, the performance gap is significant and there is a significant gap in optimal conditions. Technical factors Artificial intelligence, development of human resources and expert human resources are in the acceptable area, and on the other hand, the management factor of artificial intelligence, traditional human resources system, resistance of human resources, development opportunities, economic issues, legal issues and security issues are not in a suitable situation.
AbstractThe aim of the present study is to design and develop an innovative ecosystem model for small and medium-sized enterprises in Iran. The design of this innovation ecosystem model can act as a driving factor for involving various actors in the production, design, development and commercialization of innovative products and services in small and medium-sized enterprises. To achieve this goal, the meta-synthesis method was used and, according to previous studies, 1469 articles were selected and interpreted from among various articles. In fact, an interpretation beyond previous studies was obtained and in this method, the findings were combined and a comprehensive view of the phenomenon in question was obtained. Finally, 69 articles were selected using the screening method. The findings show that, according to the combination of studies conducted, the dimensions of the innovation ecosystem model in small and medium-sized enterprises include innovation in inputs, innovation in processes, innovation in outcomes and outputs, social innovations, strategy innovations, and environmental sustainability innovations. In fact, in addition to these dimensions, their indicators and components have also been extracted, which actually play a facilitating role in implementing the desired model. The results show that the innovation ecosystem model, which is the result of extracting indicators and components, can be applied in small and medium-sized enterprises.IntroductionToday, creativity and innovation and the ability to discover new opportunities are among the most essential characteristics of entrepreneurs. Competition in technology and ensuring and continuing life and survival in companies and industries require finding new solutions and methods of dealing with problems that depend greatly on innovation, creation of new products, processes, and approaches. In today's business world, some factors such as continuous and sometimes fundamental changes in technologies, emergence of new demands from customers, short product and service life cycles, disappearance of the boundary between industries and the constant presence of new entrants from different industries and many other factors have created a special space and as a result of these changes, companies are dependent on other companies and institutions to create value for their customers. Considering value creation from an ecosystem perspective is different from the traditional view, which is based on value creation by a specific company and is static. Therefore, to use ecosystems, companies need to change their perspective from a traditional and company-based and static view to an ecosystem view (Fuller et al., 2019). In the innovation ecosystem, key people are connected to many other factors in valuable interactions. One of the reasons for the increasing importance of innovation at the international level is the globalization of markets and the competitive pressure on companies to keep on seeking innovation. Innovation ecosystems connect the way actors, producers, service providers, end users, regulators, and civil society organizations to achieve a collective outcome (Zakobedes & Calleagues, 2017). Ecosystems similar to innovation ecosystems increase the sustainability of organizations and industries and can support their sustainable activities towards sustainable development (Reezner & Calleagues, 2019), because it is likely to have implications for both researchers and policymakers and practitioners (Dedhayer & Calleagues, 2018).Regarding the theoretical gap in the research, it can be said that by reviewing the research, it was found that limited studies have been presented in the field of designing and developing a coherent framework for the innovation ecosystem in small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, although many of these studies were very general or only analyzed the innovation ecosystem from one aspect (Holm & Ankarkrona, 2016). Also, regarding the necessity of conducting this research, it can be said that previous studies have mainly focused on the technological dimension of the ecosystem, which limits the possibility of examining and evaluating complex ecosystems (Chen et al., 2016). On the other hand, a large part of the studies have only examined a few ecosystem actors and the interactions between them, and have not comprehensively examined all stakeholders and the relationships between them (Motoyama & Knowlton, 2017). Today, designing an innovation ecosystem model can be considered as a stimulus to increase the performance of these small and medium-sized industries. In this regard, the present study attempts to, through the study of previous research, address the question of how the innovation ecosystem model in small and medium-sized enterprises is designed and developed using the meta-synthesis model.Theoretical frameworkIn the present era, innovation emerges when the organization seeks to respond to an environment in which it is operating under environmental disturbances, and this has caused managers to focus on organizational transformation in order to adapt and respond to changes in a timely manner and maintain the organization's competitive advantages, and they consider themselves in need of an appropriate leadership style and human capital management to deal with such changes (Veghry and Fileshver, 2024).Small companies may not grow with proper innovation management, but they can still survive. Companies that have planned innovation management well will be able to survive (Zoares Eskoober and Goozman, 2017). On the other hand, businesses also face obstacles, including restrictions and laws on content production and advertising, audience limitations, the impact of political and social crises, the presence of competition, references, government restrictions, unethical behavior of audiences and competitors, and systemic problems such as messaging bugs and lack of financial support, lack of sufficient facilities, and ideological limitations (Kafshdar Toosi, 2024). As Shompiter emphasizes, innovation is a powerful tool for new companies to successfully enter the market and challenge established companies. Also, established organizations need innovation to maintain their competitive position in the face of new and emerging or “disruptive” technologies (Cresstenson, 2010). Radical innovations are those that are developed by a company and are also innovations that are new to an industry (Reechesten and Salter, 2006). SMEs, known for their centralized management and informal structures, are therefore more prone to innovation. Companies that propose product innovation should focus on new product development or technological improvements, while companies that introduce new organizational methods such as process innovation should focus on knowledge and management culture (Ikermorat and Bardoogan, 2011). However, the most difficult task for SMEs is to realize this idea to meet demand. SMEs must follow several stages until the newly created product becomes marketable. New product development is a process in which new ideas are used in the final product and service. This process consists of six stages. Research and development stage, product design, concept testing, prototype, test marketing, and commercialization or launch. All these processes require resources and budget. Studies show that in Iran, not much research has been done so far on the topic of innovation ecosystem model in small and medium-sized companies and key players, and even practical models and patterns in this field. Considering that today advanced economies have placed innovation as their main factor and driver, developing countries need innovation in services and products to accelerate their growth and development. Considering the economic conditions of the country, many small and medium-sized companies cannot continue their production cycle.MethodologyThis research is applicable in terms of purpose, qualitative in terms of data collection, and with a meta-synthesis approach in terms of research implementation method. This research is based on the seven-step method of Sandelowski and Barroso (2007) in meta-synthesis.Research findingsIn this research, based on articles discovered from reputable journals and databases, 68 articles were fully reviewed and by combining the findings, six dimensions along with their indicators and components were identified for the innovation ecosystem, described below. Based on the results of the meta-synthesis, the dimensions of the innovation ecosystem can be categorized into six main areas, including input innovation, process innovation, strategy innovation, output and outcome innovation, social innovation, and environmental innovation.Conclusion The first dimension is the input innovation dimension, consistent with the research of Liang & Wang (2023) and Block et al., (2023), and based on the research conducted, it is suggested that in order to have an effective input in the field of innovation, its indicators and components need to be calculated in a real sense and in accordance with the environment in which it operates. These indicators and components include crowdfunding, launching a venture capital fund, hiring startup-minded employees, innovation in financing methods, etc. The second dimension is the process innovation dimension, which acts as a strategic role in converting inputs into outputs and, in a way, extracts accurate and correct outputs and actions after a targeted and effective analysis of inputs. The results of this dimension are consistent with the research of Piñera-Salmerón et al., (2023). In this dimension, indicators and components such as the production of artificial intelligence-based services, updating machinery and equipment, setting up a research and development unit, using artificial intelligence capabilities, smartening business processes, continuous product improvement, application of quality tools, redesigning parts and components, etc. are mentioned. The third dimension is innovation in outputs and outcomes, which are actually indicators such as obtaining an electronic trust mark, developing new product versions, setting up spin-off companies, using online sales platforms, developing the export of innovative products, obtaining a knowledge-based mark for products, commercializing innovative products, etc., and is consistent with the research of Jin & Li (2023). The fourth dimension is social innovation, the results of which are consistent with the research of Sampaio & Sebastião (2024), and these studies showed that this dimension facilitates the cooperation of non-governmental sectors and civil society to promote innovation and also influence the innovation process. In fact, social innovation is an environmental factor that plays a decisive role in the adoption of innovation and the production of innovation. The indicators of this dimension include the development of corporate citizenship behavior, the allocation of budget lines to the field of social responsibility, the creation of local networks for the exchange of knowledge and benefits, etc. The fifth dimension is innovation strategies, which is consistent with the research of Agazu & Kero (2024). The components of this dimension include the development of entrepreneurial culture, the development of digital entrepreneurship, co-creation in the production of new products, and the development of gradual innovation, and therefore it is suggested that strategy be considered as a facilitator of the role of the innovation path and the purposefulness of the innovation development process. The sixth dimension is environmental innovation, which includes indicators and components such as green innovation development, green management development, green product development, green marketing development, reduction of environmental pollutants, use of less polluting materials, etc., which is consistent with the research of Kirikkaleli et al., (2023). The three dimensions of social innovation, environmental innovation, and strategic innovation are considered as external environmental dimensions of innovation that affect the internal environment of innovation and in a way stimulate innovation. Any research or management action in the field of innovation ecosystems requires a precise understanding of the six dimensions.
The purpose of this research was to develop practical knowledge in a specific field. This research was conducted with the intention of using the findings to solve specific problems within the organization and measure the impact of coaching management on sustainable performance in the Red Crescent Organization of Sistan and Baluchistan province. This study was descriptive-survey and cross-sectional in terms of data collection method. The statistical population included all the employees of the Red Crescent Organization of Sistan and Baluchistan Province, who were 1850 people based on the obtained information. The sampling method was stratified random sampling and the sample size of 318 was determined using Cochran's sampling formula with 95% confidence level and 5% error. The data collection tools included standard questionnaires. In order to measure the intensity of coaching through a two-item scale related to the effectiveness of the supervisor's coaching behavior and the extent of this behavior, it was operationalized by matching the items with the feedback of Ilgen et al (1979). Moreover, to measure the sustainable performance, a standard questionnaire (Steniski & Erbakiuskas, 2009) including 16 items was used. The results of the analysis using the structural equation method showed that coaching management, the effectiveness of the supervisor's coaching behavior and the extent of this behavior have a positive significant effect on sustainable performance.
Abstract The diversity of the workforce is of great importance in management activities, and managers need training in order to effectively manage diversity and provide effective strategies to manage such differences; Therefore, the current research was conducted with the aim of identifying the effects and consequences of diversity on social capital in the General Department of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare of Sistan and Baluchistan province.Introduction One of the most important challenges that organizations of the present century face in the field of human resources, as the most important asset and capital of any organization, is the diversity of human resources. Workforce diversity means that today's organizations are faced with heterogeneous groups in different aspects such as gender, age, race, etc. (Quinn, 2016).Iran is experiencing a new variety of workforce. Therefore, organizations should adopt policies for calling, training, compensation, and motivation for heterogeneous and diverse workforce. This seems more necessary in the province of Sistan and Baluchistan because this province, with a high amount of ethnic and religious diversity, has very suitable potential conditions for the comprehensive management of the diversity of human resources; But unfortunately, not much action has been taken in this regard; Which shows the poor management or the lack of proper management of the diversity of human resources in the government institutions of this province, which makes it an undeniable necessity to pay attention to the topic of diversity and its management in the province of Sistan and Baluchistan. Today, large organizations have started to take advantage of the diversity of human resources in the work environment and its management. In the meantime, the Department of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare is not exempt from this. Therefore, the current research seeks to identify the effects and consequences of diversity of human resources in the relations between employees in the work environment and its management in the department of cooperation, labor and social welfare of Sistan and Baluchistan province.Case study Department of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare of Sistan and Baluchestan ProvinceMaterials and Methods The research method is mixed (qualitative-quantitative) with an exploratory approach according to the applied purpose and according to the type of data; In this way, 187 articles in the field of diversity and social capital were analyzed and research indicators were identified using metacomposite method. The statistical population in the qualitative part of the research included 22 academic and professional experts familiar with the subject, who were selected by judgmental sampling and snowball methods, and the dimensions, components, and indicators counted in the form of a Delphi questionnaire were provided to the experts. It is given that after four rounds of Delphi, a consensus was reached among the experts, and then it was analyzed using the metacombination method with Sandelowski and Barso's approach. In order to validate the research model, a research questionnaire was designed and distributed among 122 sample members, including managers and experts of the Department of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare of Sistan and Baluchistan province. In order to analyze the data and check the explained hypotheses, Lisrel and spss software and appropriate statistical methods have been used.Discussion and Results Finally, based on the research findings, a total of 3 dimensions, 20 components and 195 codes for diversity management indicators were discovered and labeled in this research. Factors such as information processing and interpretation, social and individual perception, interaction and cooperation, creativity and innovation, collaborative decision-making, cultural synergy and overlap, job satisfaction, trust, social cohesion, communication, job training, growth and development, conflict and Discrimination, organizational productivity, organizational commitment, performance evaluation, networking and social inequality, leadership power and position, recruitment and attraction of talented employees in the three dimensions of social capital (structural, relational, cognitive) have been identified as the most important effects and consequences of diversity management. Considering that the value of t statistic for all relationships is higher than 1.96, all relationships between all diversity indicators and dimensions of social capital are significant and approved at the 95% confidence level.ConclusionIn the current research, the three dimensions of social capital formed the main foundations of the diversity management model in the cooperative, labor and social welfare administration. None of the previous researches have presented a comprehensive model that considers all the effects and consequences of diversity management on social capital; But in the current research, in addition to the dimensions and components identified in the previous studies, with a more scrutinizing and detailed look, more comprehensive and new components of diversity management were introduced and finally, according to the local conditions of the country, a model Comprehensive was presented; So that the amount of dispersion of previous research findings is reduced and more emphasis is placed on coherence and integration. In the following, according to the results obtained from the analysis of the views and opinions of experts obtained from the meta-combination method and the Delphi method about the variables, dimensions and components related to diversity management in the cooperative, labor and social welfare department of Sistan and Baluchistan province. It was found that the experts (Delphi panel experts) agreed on 3 dimensions, 20 components and 195 indicators for diversity management in the selected public sector organization in this province. On the other hand, according to the criteria considered in the confirmatory factor analysis, the presented model had sufficient validity. In the following, according to the opinion of managers and experts of the Department of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare in Sistan and Baluchistan province, regarding the structural dimension of social capital, organizational commitment, organizational productivity; In relation to the relational dimension of social capital, job training, dynamics and performance, social cohesion; In relation to the cognitive dimension of social capital, synergy and cultural overlap; They have little utility.
Extended AbstractAbstract The aim of the present study is to investigate the mediating role of organizational commitment in the relationship between mentoring and job satisfaction and to answer the question of whether organizational commitment plays a mediating role in the relationship between mentoring and job satisfaction approach: In terms of purpose, this research is applied, and according to the nature of the subject and its goals, it is of a descriptive-correlation type.Introduction Education and its scientific and specialized management is an important factor in the development of countries and societies. Today, coaching is considered the most important experiential aspect of training and is an important process for professional development and psychological support of new employees, and it can be used to prevent anxiety and increase self-confidence and peace of mind in inexperienced employees.Case study The statistical population of the present study was all primary school teachers in Euclid city. The required statistical sample size was determined by Cochran's formula of 134 people and the sample was selected using random sampling method. The required primary data were collected through questionnaires and secondary data were collected through library and internet sources.Materials and Methods Structural equation model was used by Smart PLS software to test research hypotheses. And the variable of organizational commitment explains a total of 53% of the variance of the variable of job satisfaction, according to the mentioned cases, all research hypotheses were confirmed. The lack of easy access to teachers and members of the statistical community as well as the lack of research literature are among the limitations of the research.Conclusionpresent research include the achievement that by combining the social exchange theory (which is one of the most effective conceptual paradigms for understanding workplace behaviors) and the concept of coaching, it is possible to develop a suitable structure for predicting and explaining the behavioral dimensions between the organization and employees. Finally, one of the acquired concepts is training methods of persuading employees by managers and supervisors in order to achieve commitment, job integration, more self-efficacy and less intention to leave the organization.
Due to today's competitive environment and information boom, companies are concerned about production planning in uncertain conditions. This paper integrates decision-making method with production scheduling model by considering limited resources. In this paper, a new mathematical model is extended for production project scheduling with multiple execution modes. The main aim of the formulation is to plan and schedule real production projects in uncertain environments. A new mixed-integer linear formulation is presented by considering trade-off of cost, time, as well as quality. Cost-time-quality trade-off is extended with the interval information. In the presented model, activity quality could be enhanced by reworking. The interval forms of some parameters, including duration, quality of activities, cost, and total available resources, are obtained by determining weights of experts and aggregating them. The presented group decision-making method is based on a bi-directional projection measure to deal with interval information. Since the mathematical model is multi-objective and some data are interval, a new modified solution method is developed for solving the model. The presented method for both decision-making and mathematical models is investigated by a real-world production project and two datasets to ascertain the accuracy of the model. Finally, an appropriate sensitivity analysis is proposed.
Introduction: The composite resin bond strength to the enamel can be affected by contamination with various agents. Protective gloves are one of the factors which can cause contamination and disruption of the composite resin bond strength to the tooth structure. The aim of this study was to investigate the shear bond strength (SBS) of orthodontic brackets bonded with composite resin to enamel after contamination with powderless latex and nitrile gloves. Materials & Methods: A total of 208 orthodontic brackets were bonded on the mesial and distal of 104 intact extracted premolar teeth. The teeth were randomly divided into latex and nitrile groups. Each group was divided into test and control subgroups. In the test groups, the composite resin was placed with latex or nitrile gloves, and in the control group without contact with the gloves on the bracket base. The SBS of the samples was measured in a compressive test machine at a strain rate of 0.5 mm/min. The data were analyzed by independent t-test. The significance level was set at p<0.05. Results: There was no significant difference in SBS between the latex and nitrile subgroups with or without gloves. There was no significant difference between the latex and nitrile groups and their control groups. Conclusion: The use of powder-free latex gloves and nitrile gloves does not affect the SBS of composite resins; therefore, they are recommended for dental procedures.
This paper presents a solution to the problem of ranking efficient decision-making units (DMUs) in data envelopment analysis (DEA). We develop a cross-inefficiency approach for the deviation variables framework based on a pair of epsilon-based benevolent and aggressive models for both constant and variable returns-to-scale technologies. The new method improves the discriminating power of DEA, solves the non-uniqueness of ranking solutions, and avoids the negative efficiency scores associated with current models in the deviation variables framework. We illustrate the performance of the approach using a real life case study. Not only does the research improve the discriminating power, but it also encourages the first step towards integrating the deviation variables framework in the context of decision-making uncertainty. Identifying and understanding entrepreneurial opportunities to start a business is the responsibility of entrepreneurs or startup managers.The purpose of this study is to identify and categorize the mentality of startup managers to digital entrepreneurship. There are three different mindsets about the factors affecting digital entrepreneurship that represent the categorization of the mindsets of entrepreneurs and startup managers. These mindsets in order of importance are: Digital Entrepreneurship Platforms - Digital Entrepreneurship Innovation - Digital Entrepreneurship Marketing. Introduction There are several reasons that indicate the importance of the subject of the present study and its study; Among other things, digital entrepreneurship is a new approach to start-up businesses today that attracts more people due to the need for less financial resources than traditional approaches. The second reason is that the digitalization of the influential components in today's human life, including trade, marketing, education, information and communication, and even transportation, is an undeniable fact that promises a transition from tradition to modernity. Another reason is that with the move of startups to digital startups, many entrepreneurs have shifted to digital entrepreneurial characteristics that this amount of expert and entrepreneurial manpower can be seen as digital entrepreneurs. Startups have entrepreneurs who manage them, and therefore in most of them there are individual and group managers who are the founding board and the main entrepreneurs of startups. In this regard, three general questions have been formed: 1- What are the effective factors (drivers) on digital entrepreneurship in the organization? What is the classification of these factors based on Q methodology (mentality of startup managers to digital entrepreneurship)? 3- What is the importance and prioritization of these factors based on Q methodology (mentality of startup managers to digital entrepreneurship)? Methodology The philosophical framework of this research is a kind of interpretive-positivist paradigm and in terms of orientation is in the category of applied research. In Iran, the entire energy system relies on fossil fuels, which imposes significant greenhouse gas emissions. Besides, among different greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide (CO2) has the most considerable portion, and Iran is known as one of the top ten CO2 emitting countries, especially in the industry section. In this paper, a new multi-mode resource-constrained project scheduling problem is presented regarding the emitted CO2 as a greenness index. The proposed mathematical model has four objective functions, which are, minimizing the project completion time, project costs, and emitted CO2, and the fourth objective function maximizes the project quality. The time lag and reworking are regarded in the mathematical model. Reworking not only causes an increase in the project quality and more CO2 emissions but also increases the complexity of the problem. Uncertainty is an essential part of any construction project in real situations, so activities duration and cost of non-renewable and renewable resources are under interval-valued fuzzy uncertainty. To solve the mathematical model with uncertainty, a new extended solving method is proposed. Furthermore, a case study in Iran is presented to show the impact of the given model in real projects, and related results along with the analyses are conducted on this case. Additionally, Pareto front solutions are presented to show the trade-off between objectives. The results illustrate that considering CO2 emissions as a greenness index can reduce project costs and improve quality. On the other hand, this index increases the project completion time. This paper has practical implications for project managers and companies to reach their fundamental goals (i.e., time, cost, and quality) alongside minimizing emitted CO2 in an uncertain environment.
Background: The public health system is currently facing a shortage of resources, and the demand for healthcare has increased, indicating the need to use the capacities of other sectors through public-private partnership (PPP) strategies to improve the quantity and quality of health services. Objectives: The purpose is to identify PPPs' role in providing primary healthcare worldwide. Methods: This study was conducted in 2020. The Arksey O’Malley framework was used, along with a systematic literature search on five databases, including Web of Science (ISI), Scopus, Pubmed, ProQuest, and Google Scholar. Data were gathered from 2000 to 2020. Results: The findings presented in this study are reported based on 16 selected studies. The findings point to the positive impacts of cooperation between the public and private sectors in health care systems on matters of provision, coverage, and performance of services, as well as improvements in responsiveness to providers towards enhancing health referral systems. The provision of participatory services in countries varied according to their level of development, and further interactions between the government and the private sector resulted in better coverage and reduced inequality in service delivery. Conclusions: Public-private partnership is an effective way to achieve sustainable development goals. Public-private partnerships can be strengthened by integrating public and private sector facilities and aligning the interests and motivations of service providers with public health goals. Also, awareness of the plans and capacity of public and private sectors, along with conscious and mutual interaction, can strengthen health on a larger scale. Scientific approaches and correct participation can also relieve the part of governmental responsibilities to focus on more primary measures so that it can carry out its core tasks, including stewardship, policy-making, and supervision, with greater focus and power to facilitate the achievement of goals.
BACKGROUND: Medical equipment plays an important role in the diagnosis, treatment, and medical education, and each year the major share of hospital costs (about 5%–15% annually) is allocated to the purchase of medical equipment. The selection and allocation of medical equipment should be appropriate and in line with the actual needs of the medical centers, clinical goals, human resources, and the conditions required to ensure safety. The purpose of this study was to study and evaluate current systems of medical equipment management and identify their strengths and weaknesses in Isfahan educational hospitals in 2018. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a descriptive-applied research that was done in a cross-sectional way in 2018. The statistical population of the research is the authorities of medical equipment and other persons related to the management of medical equipment of selected educational hospitals in Isfahan. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. RESULTS: The result of this study was gathered in four areas: medical equipment management, safety, preventive maintenance, and training. CONCLUSION: According to this study, there is no comprehensive program in hospitals for how to manage medical equipment, which itself causes the loss of material and equipment capital of the organization. In most cases, the lack of a system for planning and controlling the amount of inventory and purchasing and maintaining medical equipment creates many problems, such as the accumulation and depreciation of equipment or the lack of these facilities in critical situations. In this study, it is suggested initially a scientific control system. Medical equipment is designed so that the hospital's need for equipment at any time of year and the amount of its equipment are clear so that it can be easily decided in this field.
In this work, electrospinning was applied to encapsulate the Cumin essential oil in zein electrospun fibers. Initially, the Cumin essential oil was obtained and characterized by GCMS and subsequently incorporated in 27% zein solution at 0, 2.5, 5, 10, and 20% (v/v) concentrations. The SEM and Image-J results showed that encapsulation of Cumin essential oil increased the diameter of zein electrospun fibers from 459 to 855 nm for 0% and 20% loaded electrospun fibers, respectively. The 3D-images of topographic surface of zein electrospun fibers was studied using AFM, and indicated that their morphology were in tubular shapes. The XRD was applied to study the physical structure of loaded electrospun fibers, and the XRD diffaractograms indicated the amorphous structure of electrospun fibers. The DSC thermograms indicated that encapsulation of Cumin essential oil increased the thermal stability of zein electrospun fibers. The FTIR spectra indicated the interaction between zein and Cumin essential oil and FTIR spectra also indicated that adding Cumin essential oil to the electrospun fibers affected the secondary structure of zein protein. The mechanical properties evaluation of electrospun fibers indicated that tensile strength increased with increasing Cumin essential oil from 0.28 (MP) to 3.55 (MP) for 0% and 20% loaded electrospun fibers. BET analysis was used to measure pore size of fibers. The obtained pore sizes were 7, 7.5, 8, 11, and 13 nm for 0, 2.5, 5, 10, and 20% loaded electrospun fibers, respectively. Antibacterial test was carried out by disc diffusion method, and results shown that Cumin essential oil loaded fiber mats inhibited the growth of S. aureus and E. coli , B. cereus , and S. enterica . According to results of this work, Cumin essential oil loaded fibers can be considered as an active packaging to be applied in packages of various foods such as cheese, meat and some other food products.
Classical efficiency studies on data envelopment analysis (DEA) consider all its inputs and outputs are desirable factors and real valued-data. Additionally, the DEA models only focus either on input-oriented projection minimizing inputs for an inefficient decision making unit (DMU) while keeping outputs at their maximum level, or output-oriented projection maximizing outputs under the present level of input consumption. To simultaneously deal with input excesses and output shortfalls maximizing both projections, this paper proposes a bi-objective DEA model in the context of undesirable factors and mixed integer requirements. These factors and requirements were integrated into the objective function and constraints of the existing bi-objective models. In addition, the proposed model estimates the returns to scale of DMUs that depends on the projections of input reduction and output augmentation. The applicability and usefulness of the proposed model were tested using the dataset of 39 Spanish airports retrieved from the literature. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The European Foundation for Quality Management excellence model includes a framework for evaluating the improvement of organizations that excellence organizations must achieve them. Also, business intelligence as a management philosophy and tool helps organization to achieve enduring advantage and organization excellence. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to investigating the impact of business intelligence on enablers of excellence model with using the mediating role of knowledge sharing. METHODS: According to purpose, the research method is applied and based on data collection is descriptive-survey. The statistical population of this study includes employees of Marvdasht Banks at the Fars province in Iran that 127 respondents were selected based on group sampling. Research data were collected using standard questionnaires (enablers of excellence model questionnaire, Popovic questionnaire for business intelligence and Wang questionnaire for Knowledge sharing) and analyzed through structural equation modeling by Smart-PLS. FINDING: Results showed that business intelligence has a positive and significant direct and indirect effect on enablers of excellence model. The direct effect of business intelligence on enablers of excellence model is equal to 0.482. The indirect effect of business intelligence on enablers of excellence model with the mediating role of Knowledge sharing is equal to 0.780. Also,the indirect effect of knowledge sharing on enablers of excellence model is equal to 0.410.The indirect effect of business intelligence on Knowledge sharing is equal to 0.726. CONCLUSION: Considering the research community, it can be said that in order to increase organizational excellence, bank managers should pay special attention to the variables of business intelligence and knowledge sharing and take action towards business intelligence by integrating data, increasing analytical capacity, increasing information quality, access quality of information and analytical decision-making. Background: Today, cardiovascular disease is one of the main causes of mortality and disability in most developed and developing countries. The prediction of the major causes of deaths all over the world at all ages shows that 61% of deaths are due to chronic diseases, of which 30% is due to cardiovascular disease. The aim of this study was to assess the cost-utility analysis of atorvastatin for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases using the Markov model. Methods: Markov model with a lifetime horizon was developed to evaluate economic and health outcomes for atorvastatin drugs for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases for a cohort of 1,000 patients. The effectiveness indicator in this study was quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs); robustness of results was examined by one-way and probabilistic sensitivity analysis. Results: The results showed that the use of atorvastatin compared to no drug intervention was highly cost-effective with USD173 per additional QALY. The results of one-way and probabilistic sensitivity analysis confirmed the results of this study. The findings of this study also showed that the highest cost items were hospitalization costs in the cardiac care unit (CCU). Also, the highest cost items in para-clinical services were related to echocardiography costs, and troponin constituted the largest cost of laboratory tests.Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that cardiologists use atorvastatin in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Extended Abstract Abstract Todays, offering solutions for preventing of administrative corruption or reducing it, is an essential issue in public administration studies. Several factors effect on administrative corruption in public sector. This research aimed to examine the effect of public service motivation on administrative corruption with the mediating role of employees' commitment. This research is an applied and descriptive and correlation one. The statistical population was public organization's employees of Shahr-e-Babak that based upon Morgan's table, 260 persons of them selected by stratified random sampling method as a sample. For collecting data, three standard questionnaires were used that their reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (0/87, 0/90, 0/88) and CR (0/88, 0/91, 0/87) and for validity was used AVE index (0/58, 0/64, 0/53) and confirmative factor analysis. Findings through structural equation modeling with LISREL 8/5 software demonstrated that public service motivation with the mediating role of employees'commitment has a negative effect on administrative corruption. Also, public service motivation directly effects on administrative corruption. The results confirm that public service motivation can provide an appropriate context for developing anti-corruption strategies in public sector. Introduction Todays, the need for ways to prevent or reduce corruption has become a fundamental issue in public administration (Kim & Kim, 2016). The issue of corruption is a complex and obscure issue that refers to the "deviant behaviors of bureaucrats whose origin is the violation of cultural and social norms or violation of the expectations of citizens (Kim, 2003: 20). Unfortunately, according to the International Transparency Organization in 2016, Iran rank in administrative corruption is 131 in 176 countries, which is not good for Islamic republic of Iran. Alarming statistics of corruption in the department may create an undesirable image of the Islamic society in the minds of the people and reduce their trust in the system (Afzali, 2013). There are various factors and contexts that can create, expand, and promote administrative corruption potentially. Based on these factors and backgrounds, we can identify factors that have more effect on reduction and elimination of corruption phenomenon in organizations. One of the reducing factors of corruption in organizations, especially government agencies, is public service motivation (Im & Lee, 2012). This is the main reason for this research. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of public service motivation on administrative corruption with mediating role of employees' commitment in public services in the city of Shahr-e-Babak. Case study The present study is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of type, is descriptive and correlative. The statistical population of this study was all public employees of Shahr-e-Babak city. A statistical sample of 260 people were selected by stratified random sampling method and the research questionnaire was distributed among them and 235 of these questionnaires was analyzed. In order to test the hypotheses, structural equation modeling using LISREL8 / 5 software was used. Materials and Methods In order to collect the required data, three standard questionnaires with a five-choice Likert option are completely disagree with the score of 1 to completely agree with the score of 5. To measure public service motivation, the standard 24-item questionnaire of Perry (1996) was used. In order to collect information about administrative corruption, the standard questionnaire of Hadavinejad and Javid (2016) with 24 items was used. To assess organizational commitment, Allen & Meyer (1991) standard questionnaire has been used. To test the reliability of the questionnaires, Cronbach's alpha test was used using SPSS software and composite reliability (CR) index using LISREL8.5 software. Cronbach's alpha was used to assess the inherent consistency of the scale. Both of them was higher than 0.8 and it is considered appropriate, although in many studies alpha and CR higher than 0.7 is also well-accepted (Harris & Harris, 2007). Discussion and Results This study aimed to investigate the effect of public services motivation on administrative corruption with regard to the mediating role of employees'commitment in governmental organizations of Shahr-e-Babak city. Findings showed that employees' commitment in relationship between public service motivation and administrative corruption appears as mediating variable. Employees with a higher public service motivation are committed to the organization and have more willingness to stay longer in organization (Bright, 2008; Homberg et al., 2014), and this commitment in turn causes them to avoid negative behaviors and especially administrative corruption (Kim & Kim, 2016). The results also indicate a negative relationship between public service motivation and administrative corruption. As a result, by increasing public service motivation in government agencies, corruption will decrease. This result is in agreement with Im and Lee(2012) and Kim & Kim(2016). Other results indicate a negative relationship between employees'commitment and administrative corruption. This means that with increasing employees' commitment, corruption will decrease. In this regard Haghighatian et al (2017) concluded that there is an inverse relationship between employees' commitment and tendency to corruption among millions of employees of Tehran municipality that there is an inverse relationship between employees' commitment and tendency to corruption. Conclusion According to the results of this study, we propose an increase in public service motivation and employees' commitment to prevent administrators and employees from getting infected with administrative corruption. Identifying the range of motives and stimulations that can be satisfied exclusively in public organizations can help managers to improve the motivation of public employee and reduce their willingness to administrative corruption. In this regard, it is important to try to create and strengthen the feeling of sympathy and sacrifice and commitment to public interest in managers and employees. Managers should use effective mechanisms such as their participation in setting goals and programs related to public interest and also replacing concepts of public service motivation in check list of employees ' performance evaluation.
Multi-mode resource-constrained project scheduling problem (MRCPSP) is one of the most important extensions of the basic RCPSP. In this paper, a new mathematical model for MRCPSP is presented with a time-quality trade-off approach. The model has two objectives, the first objective minimizes the project completion time, and the second objective maximizes the project quality while the quality of activities can be increased based on the reworking. In addition, in the presented model, total available resources, including renewable and non-renewable, are decision variables. The quality and duration of project activities are interval forms. For this purpose, a new expert weighting method based on interval information is presented to unify the experts’ views. The group decision-making method applies a bi-directional projection measure to the positive ideal solution and two negative ideal solutions. Moreover, a new extended interval-fuzzy solution method based on goal programming is proposed to deal with the interval information and mathematical model objectives. The presented mathematical model and group decision-making method are solved with a dataset, and some sensitivity analyses are reported.
To investigate the acidic behavior of self-compacting concrete (SCC) incorporating Copper Slag (CS), a series of seven mixtures with different percentages of CS as cement replacement was produced. The specimens were replaced by 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% CS of total binder. Two types of acids as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid are used to simulate the acidic environments. In the present paper, the fresh properties, compressive strengths, mass losses, and volume variations of SCCs containing CS as a partial replacement of binder in acidic environments have been investigated. The results showed that the incorporating of CS increased the workability and fresh properties of SCC. As it is expected, acid attack decreased the mechanical properties, but incorporating CS up to 15% improved the resistance characteristics. Besides, the ratio between strength and cost (economy index) was predicted for all specimens. Finally, the results show that incorporating of CS as supplementary cementitious material in SCC improved the acidic resistance.
