Trap fishing gear offers several advantages, including high selectivity, the ability to keep fish alive, and support for sustainable fisheries. The productivity of catches around coral reefs and fish aggregating devices (FADs) is important to study in order to evaluate fish diversity in deeper waters across biological, genetic, species, and ecological levels. Such assessments are crucial for environmental conservation and for management based on diversity and dominance indices. This study aimed to determine the productivity, diversity, and dominant species composition of trap catches in two fishing grounds (FGs): coral reef areas and FAD zones at Lhok Kuala Daya, Aceh Jaya. The research employed an experimental fishing method, conducting five fishing operations in each zone. The overall diversity index of trap catches in Lhok Kuala Daya was 1.26, indicating a moderate level of diversity. The diversity index for catches around coral reefs was 1.15, while around FADs it was 1.58. The overall dominance index value of trap catches was 2.74, with dominance values of 0.74 in coral reef areas and 2.00 in FAD zones. These results indicate a low level of species dominance and a moderately diverse fish community in both fishing zones.
Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya terletak pada sisi selatan dan berhadapan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia. Wilayah ini juga termasuk kedalam Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Daerah (KKPD) berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia No.78/KEPMEN-KP/2020. Salah satu potensi jenis ikan yang banyak ditemukan pada perairan tersebut adalah perikanan hiu. Hiu dikenal dengan ikan teritorial yang sangat erat hubungannya dengan habitat yang ditempatinya. Hal ini dikarenakan hiu menjadi predator puncak pada ekosistem terumbu karang sehingga sangat berperan sebagai penyeimbang sistem rantai makanan pada ekosistem terumbu karang. Masyarakat pesisir Aceh Barat Daya masih melakukan aktifitas penangkapan terhadap populasi hiu, padahal populasi beberapa jenis hiu saat ini mulai terancam karena eksploitasi berlebihan dan permintaan pasar yang tinggi. Dalam hal ini diperlukan upaya peralihan mata pencaharian bagi masyarakat pesisir susoh untuk tidak lagi menjadikan hiu sebagai target utama tangkapan nelayan, dengan tidak mengurangi pendapatan yang selama ini diperoleh oleh nelayan tersebut. Dalam mendukung pengembangan Marine Industry dibidang konservasi, dibutuhkan gagasan yang bersifat teknologi dan terbaru yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat umum secara efektif dan efesien. Salah satu alat tangkap alternatif yang bisa dimanfaatkan oleh nelayan hiu adalah bubu ramah lingkungan (Eco Trap). Eco Trap memiliki keunggulan dalam selektifitas dan efektifitas serta hasil tangkapan dengan nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian akan dilaksanakan dengan tahapan survey lapangan, persiapan alat dan bahan, pembuatan kontruksi media bubu, aplikasi bubu ramah lingkungan, monitoring dan evaluasi serta pembuatan laporan kegiatan dan publikasi ilmiah. Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok Masyarakat Pengawas (Pokmaswas) konservasi Lhok Susoh, Aceh Barat Daya.
The Community Service Program, titled "International Visit and Community Service at Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras," aims to enhance the welfare of the residents at Rumah Kasih Harmoni, an orphanage located in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia. The program was initiated in response to the financial challenges faced by Rumah Kasih Harmoni in fulfilling the basic needs of its residents. The objectives are to improve the funding sources for Rumah Kasih Harmoni, provide training and skill development for the residents, expand their knowledge and awareness, and foster a sustainable partnership between the proposing team and Rumah Kasih Harmoni. The methods employed include direct visits and interactions, educational and interactive activities, artistic and creative endeavors, physical and sports activities, along with social and cultural events. Active participation from the residents is encouraged throughout the program. The results include an increase in funding, enhanced skills and independence among the residents, improved knowledge and awareness, and the establishment of a robust, long-term collaboration between the proposing team and Rumah Kasih Harmoni.

Abstract Sharks are top-tier water predators that can maintain marine ecology balance and control the food web. As sharks are at the top of the food chain, their overfishing can disrupt the ecosystem chain. The distribution and abundance of fish in waters can be influenced by several factors of oceanographic parameters, including chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature (SST). The use of satellite imagery for analyzing chlorophyll-a and SST parameters provides significant results in fisheries oceanographic studies. This study aimed to determine the effect of chlorophyll-a and SST parameters on shark catches. The method in this study was divided into 2 stages, namely taking shark fishing area coordinate data and downloading chlorophyll-a as well as SST satellite image data on the NASA Aqua-MODIS website. The results of the of the analysis of chlorophyll-a distribution in the eastern season ranged from 0.08 to 1.23 mg/m3 with an average value of 0.17 mg/m3, where the highest was 1.23 mg/m3 in September and the lowest was 0.08 mg/m3 in August. The SST distribution ranged from 27.65 to 30.29oC with an average of 28.65oC, the highest was 30.29oC in August and the lowest was 27.65oC in September. Based on the results of linear regression analysis, the highest shark catch was influenced by chlorophyll-a, namely Loxodon macrorhinus shark, by 72.82%, the highest shark catch type was influenced by SPL, namely Alopias pelagicus shark, by 83.12%, and the rest was influenced by other parameters.
Baguk Island is one of several islands in the Aceh Singkil Regency. This water area is included in a coastal ecosystem widely used for various human activities, such as sea transportation routes; these activities can increase domestic and anthropogenic waste, including microplastics. The study aimed to determine the type and amount of microplastic content in coral groupers (Cephalopholis miniata) and Brown-marbled grouper (Epinephelus fuscogattatus), fish often consumed by the community. This research was conducted in August-November 2023 in the tangkahan of Baguk Island village using quantitative methods where data collection was carried out through field surveys and laboratory experiments based on the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) method but with several differences, namely the number of samples and the addition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) solution. The results of the identification of this study found as many as three types of microplastics in coral grouper fish, namely fragment, film and fiber types and four types of microplastics in Brown-marbled grouper fish with fragment, film, fiber and granule types.
Clams are aquatic biota that do not have a spine, belonging to the phylum Molluscs class Bivalvia. This study aims to determine the density, morphomteric differences of S. woodiana clams based on depth. The sampling technique used Purposive sampling method, with 1x1 meter plot and repetition 3 times. Data collection was carried out in July 2022 until completion. The results showed that the highest density of S. woodiana clams was found at a depth of 0-50 cm with an average density of 29.3 individuals/meter. Small size clams were dominantly found at a depth of 0-50 cm with a percentage reaching 97.92%, 54.46% of medium size clams were found at a depth of 50-100 cm, while 83.33% of large size clams were found at a depth of 100-150 cm. Anova test results showed significant differences with a 95% confidence interval. At a depth of 100-150 cm, the weight value of S. woodiana clams was 24.87 ± 3.36 grams, shell length 43.73 ± 1.21 cm, shell width 38.73 ± 1.76 cm, and umbo height 22.83 ± 0.76 cm. The results of this study can be concluded that the shallower the waters, the higher the density of shells, but the large size of the shells, the smaller the density.
Rumpon merupakan alat bantu yang berfungsi sebagai tempat berkumpulnya ikan sehingga mempermudah nelayan dalam mencari ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks keragaman, dominansi serta bobot dan panjang ikan hasil tangkapan pada rumpon berbasis sumberdaya lokal. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi mengenai jenis-jenis ikan yang tertangkap dengan menggunakan pancing ulur. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan Desember 2022 di perairan Kuala Daya Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data jumlah ikan (ekor), bobot (gr) dan panjang (cm). Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah eksperimental fishing selama 4 trip pada dua lokasi berbeda. Selama penelitian jumlah hasil tangkapan yang diperoleh sebanyak 14 ekor ikan yang terdiri dari 1 filum (chordata), 1 kelas (actinopterygii), 1 ordo, 4 famili dan 7 spesies, adapun jenis ikan yaitu kuwe/rambai (Carangoides malabaricus), selar hijau (Atule mate), selar ekor kuning (Selaroides leptolepis), kerapu macan (Ephinephelus coioides), swanggi (Priachantus hamrur), kakap merah (Lutjanus malabaricus), tenggiri papan (Scomberomorus commerson). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai indeks keragaman pada rumpon 1 dan rumpon 2 adalah sebesar 1,33 dan 1,21 yaitu termasuk dalam kriteria relatif sedang. Nilai indeks dominansi pada kedua rumpon adalah sebesar 2 dan 2 yaitu termasuk dalam kriteria relatif tinggi, serta bobot ikan hasil tangkapan pada kedua rumpon adalah sebesar 2,72 kilogram dan 1,91 kilogram dan panjang rata – rata ikan hasil tangkapan pada kedua rumpon adalah berkisar antara 14,4 cm – 40,25 cm dan 20,9 – 40,5 cm.
Mangrove merupakan tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pencegah abrasi dan pemecah gelombang. Aksi penanaman mangrove dilakukan oleh mahasiswa dan dosen sebagai bentuk pengabdian terhadap masyarakat dengan tujuan sebagai bentuk upaya mitigasi abrasi. Pengabdian ini dilakukan pada Bulan November 2022 di Desa Peunaga, Aceh Barat. Penanaman mangrove ini menggunakan 100 bibit, dengan menggunakan jarak masing-masing bibit berjarak 4 x 2 m. Secara umum kegiatan ini dimulai dengan 1) pemaparan singkat mengenai kegiatan yang akan dilakukan, 2) memilih bibit yang layak untuk digunakan, 3) membentang jarak untuk bibit mangrove ditanam, 4) Pelepasan polybag bibit, 5) pembuatan lubang, 6) Penanaman bibit. Harapan kedepan, penanaman mangrove ini bisa menjadi cikal bakal mitigasi abrasi yang terjadi di Desa Peunaga.
AbstractRumpon is one of the environmentally friendly fishing gear that functions to collect fish and can be used as a fishing ground. This research was carried out in the waters of Aceh Singkil in December 2022 and January 2023. The identification results were 6 species from 4 families of pelagic fish caught around rumpon in Aceh Singkil Waters, namely Elagatis bipinulata, Carangoides ignobilis, Scombrioides tala, Euthynus affinis, Selar crumenophthalmus, and Sardinella lemuru. The diversity index of Balai Island is low with a value of 0.90 and around Baguk Island the diversity index is high with a value of 0.93. The uniformity of pelagic fish around Balai Island is relatively low with a value of 0.30 and around Baguk Island the uniformity index is high with a value of 0.85. While the Pelagic fish dominance index around Balai Island is relatively high with a value of 0.68 and around Baguk Island the dominance index is also low with a value of 0.43.Keywords: Aceh Singkil, ikan pelagis, rumpon
Desa Babul Makmur merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Simeulue Barat dengan luas daerah 7,07 Km2atau 1,58% dari total Kecamatan Simeulue Barat. Topografi Desa Babul Makmur mendukung untuk melakukan kegiatan budidaya perikanan dan budidaya pertanian. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan teknologi budikdamber (budidaya ikan dalam ember) sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan masyarakat di Desa Babul Makmur. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode edukasi dan bimbingan teknis teknologi budikdamber. Program diawali dengan melakukan edukasi materi teknologi budikdamber dan diakhir dengan bimbingan teknis cara membuat teknologi budikdamber. Monitoring dan evaluasi juga dilakukan untuk melihat kemampuan masyarakat dalam membuat teknologi budikdamber dan keberlanjutan program serta kendala-kendala yang dialami selama kegiatan ini berlangsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah penggunaan teknologi budikdamber mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Babul Makmur untuk melaksanakan budidaya ikan dan budidaya tanaman dalam ember dalam rangka meningkatkan ketahanan pangan keluarga.
Pulau Banyak and Pulau Banyak Barat Districts. play an active role in advancing capture fisheries production, this can be seen from the larger number and size of vessels operated so as to produce larger capture fisheries production. To land and sell their catch, many private entrepreneurs do it in their private holdings, not in government-owned fishing ports. This Tangkahan generally has relatively little land and facilities, but the activities and production are relatively large. This study aims to analyze the catch landed on the Tangkahans of Banyak Island, Aceh Singkil and make a map of the location of the Tangkahans in Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil. The method used is in 2 stages, the first stage is conducting a field survey using interview questionnaires, and the second stage is collecting field data (coordinate points of Tangkahan, types of catches and aerial photos of Tangkahan Island many). The location of the research is on Banyak Island, Aceh Singkil. The results of the study showed that there were 12 Tangkahans in Pulawa many, of which 8 units were in Baguk Village and 4 units were in Balai Desai. The catches that landed consisted of Squid, Dencis Fish, Tuna, Coral Anchovy and others. This is because the fishing gear used by Pulau Banyak fishermen is dominated by Bagan.
Perairan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya telah dilindungi melalui Surat Keputusan Menteri Kelautan Dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia No.78/KEPMENKP/2020 tentang Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Aceh Barat Daya. Namun tekanan lingkungan dan eksploitasi berlebihan menyebabkan ekosistem ikan karang diperairan ini mulai berkurang. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan mengedukasi masyarakat tentang ekosistem terumbu karang, melatih masyarakat membuat media rumah ikan buatan ramah lingkungan serta penenggelaman rumah ikan buatan sebagai upaya restorasi habitat ikan karang. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan media rumah ikan buatan dilakukan di Keudee Susoh, Kecamatan Susoh, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya. Jumlah peserta pada kegiatan adalah 30 orang yang terdiri dari kelompok masyarakat konservasi, panglima laot serta perangkat desa. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan edukasi yang dilakukan melalui pemaparan materi yang disampaikan secara langsung dan bersifat diskusi interaktif sehingga masyarakat dapat bertanya dan berdiskusi secara langsung. Kegiatan kedua yakni pelatihan pembuatan media rumah ikan kepada masyarakat agar masyarakat memahami cara pembuatan rumah ikan yang ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan terakhir adalah penenggelaman media, lokasi penenggelaman pertama dilakukan pada kedalaman 5 meter (dangkal) sedangkan lokasi penenggelaman kedua dilakukan pada kedalaman 10-15 meter. Pembuatan rumah ikan berbahan dasar bambu dan ijuk merupakan suatu terobosan penting dalam menyumbang ilmu pengetahuan terhadap konservasi ekologi laut.
Kabupaten Simeulue adalah salah satu Kabupaten yang berada di Provinsi Aceh. Kabupaten ini merupakan Kabupaten Kepulauan dengan kriteria pantai pasir dan berbatu. Kecamatan Simeulue Tengah terletak pada bagian tengah Pulau yang pada bagian selatan berbatasan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia. Penilitian Biota Moluska Genus Nerita dilakukan di Kecamatan Simeulue Tengah Kabupaten Simeulue dilakukan untuk mengetahui Spesies apa saja yang terdapat diokasi penelitian dan untuk mengetahui ukurannya. Pengambilan sampel ditetapkan 5 titik pengamatan selama 7 hari pada bulan Desember tahun 2022. Teknik pengumpulan sampel secara Purposive Sampling dan dilaksanakan pada malam hari. Data dianalisis secara deksriptif dengan cara mengidentifikasi morfologi, untuk analisis ukuran Nerita menggunakan software Image J. Hasil penelitian ditampilkan dalam bentuk gambar dan tabulasi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan 5 spesies Genus Nerita dengan ukuran yang berbedah-bedah. Panjang cangkang spesies yang ditemukan adalah 2,09 cm sampai dengan 3,21 cm, dengan lebar cangkang antara 1,74 cm sampai 2,05 cm. Sedangkan panjang operculum berkisar antara 0,97 cm sampai 1,28 cm.
Fishers at PPI Lhok Bengkuang, South Aceh Regency, are still unable to obtain subsidized fuel oil. This is influenced by the increasing demand and the limited fuel supply at nearby fuel station. The purpose of this study is to calculate the amount of diesel fuel distributed to fishers, the service capacity of the fuel station at PPI Lhok Bengkuang, and the amount fuel supply. Data were collected through observation and direct interviews with fishers who buy fuel regularly, which are then analyzed using simple math. The results of this study show that 125 L of diesel fuel were subsidized subsidies for 4 months, with a monthly average requirement of 31.92 liters. Fishing vessels with a size of 1–10 GT consumed most diesel fuel ranging from 85 to 285 liters. The tank capacity of the fuel station is 20,000 liters, and to fullfil the demand, diesel fuel is delivered 1-2 times per month. Stunting merupakan kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak bayi dua tahun (Baduta) dampak dari kekurangan gizi kronis. Bayi mengalami stunting dicirikan dengan tinggi yang pendek dibandingkan bayi lain di usianya. Salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Aceh yang terjadi kasus stunting tinggi adalah Simuelue, dengan prevalensi mencapai 35,7% pada tahun 2017. Stunting dipengaruhi oleh berbagai macam faktor, salah satunya adalah gizi dan kualitas dari makanan yang dikonsumsi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat akan diversifikasi produk olahan ikan serta meningkatan gemar makan ikan yang berkontribusi untuk mengurangi stunting. Kegiatan dilakukan dua tahapan. Pertama kampanye gemar makan ikan dengan metode sosialisasi. Kampanye diawali dengan sosialisai materi tentang manfaat makan ikan, dan mengenalkan jenis-jenis ikan. Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan pembagian produk olahan daging ikan, yaitu nugget. Tahapan kedua adalah diversifikasi produk pengolahan dengan metode workshop. Workshop diawali dengan pemaparan langkah-langkah pembuatan produk, selanjutnya peserta dibagi kelompok dan melakukan pembuatan produk bersama kelompoknya. Di setiap tahapan kegiatan diberikan pre test dan post test. Hasil post test menunjukkan pemahaman produk diversifikasi dan gemarikan meningkat setelah dilakukan kegiatan ini
Gastropods are soft-bodied animals with stomachs as legs, live in land and waters, and have dominant nature in the area they inhabit, especially in the Lanaga Waters, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency. This study aimed to (1) analyze the dominance level of each species of the Gastropod class inhabits the Lanaga Waters, and (2) determine the species of Gastropods dominates the Lanaga Waters, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. The research was carried out from January to March 2021, in the Lanaga Waters, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. The research area was divided into 9 stations based on the conditions of the aquatic environment, and each station was assigned to five sampling plots. Data were collected using purposive sampling technique, and data analysis was analyzed using the dominance formula and further described. The results showed that (1) the dominance index of each species of the Gastropod class ranged from 0.00001 to 0.710716, indicating a low to moderate level of dominance, and (2) the species from the Gastropod class dominated the Lanaga Waters, Meureubo District, Aceh Barat was Faunus ater, with a moderate level of dominance
Provinsi Aceh merupakan salah satu daerah yang memberikan kontribusi produksi hiu di Indonesia. Saat ini perikanan hiu di Indonesia termasuk di Provinsi Aceh sedang menghadapi tantangan yang cukup besar, dimana populasi sumber daya hiu terus mengalami penurunan sementara permintaan akan produk hiu baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri terus meningkat. Kondisi tersebut pastinya memerlukan upaya pengelolaan perikanan hiu secara terpadu agar pemanfaatan hiu di perairan Provinsi Aceh tetap lestari dan keberkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah hasil tangkapan hiu yang didaratkan di PPI (Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan) Ujong Baroh dan juga membuat peta zonasi daerah penangkapan hiu yang dilindungi di perairan Barat Daya Provinsi Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui 2 tahap, yaitu tahap pertama melakukan survey lapangan dengan mengikuti kapal nelayan penangkap hiu ke laut, dan tahap kedua dengan cara pengambilan data hasil tangkapan hiu di PPI Ujong Baroh kemudian membuat peta zonasi daerah penangkapan hiu dilindungi yang di daratkan di PPI Baroh Aceh Barat. Jumlah hasil tangkapan hiu yang didaratkan di PPI Ujong Baroh selama penelitian dari bulan Agustus-Oktober 2022 sebanyak 618 ekor. Hasil tangkapan hiu paling banyak didaratkan pada bulan September sebanyak 319 ekor dan paling sedikit tercatat pada bulan Oktober sebanyak 96 ekor. Persentase jenis hasil tangkapan hiu tertangkap pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2022 yaitu Sphyrna lewini sebesar 56%, Carcharhinus sorrah 24%, Loxodon macrorhinus 9%, Chiloscyllium punctatum 5%, Carcharhinus falciformis 4%, dan Alopias superciliosus 2%. Hasil analisis zonasi daerah penangkapan hiu yang tergolong kedalam kategori Terancam/Endangered (EN) dan Rawan/Vulnerable (VU) tersebar dalam 3 lokasi di perairan Barat Daya Provinsi Aceh.Aceh Province is one of the regions that contributes to shark production in Indonesia. Currently, shark fisheries in Indonesia, including in Aceh Province, are facing considerable challenges, where the population of shark resources continues to decline while the demand for shark products both from within the country and abroad continues to increase. This condition certainly requires integrated shark fisheries management efforts so that the use of sharks in the waters of Aceh Province remains sustainable and sustainable. This study aims to determine the number of shark catches landed at PPI (Fish Landing Base) Ujong Baroh and also make a zoning map of protected shark fishing areas in the southwestern waters of Aceh Province. The method used in this study was carried out through 2 stages, namely the first stage of conducting a field survey by following a shark-catching fishing boat into the sea, and the second stage by taking shark catch data at PPI Ujong Baroh then making a zoning map of protected shark fishing areas landed in PPI Baroh West Aceh. The number of shark catches landed at PPI Ujong Baroh during the study from August-October 2022 was 618. The most shark catches were landed in September at 319 and the fewest recorded in October at 96. The percentage of shark catches caught in August-October 2022 is Sphyrna lewini at 56%, Carcharhinus sorrah at 24%, Loxodon macrorhinus at 9%, Chiloscyllium punctatum at 5%, Carcharhinus falciformis at 4%, and Alopias superciliosus at 2%. The results of the zoning analysis of shark fishing areas classified as Threatened/Endangered (EN) and Vulnerable/Vulnerable (VU) categories are spread in 3 locations in the waters of Southwest Aceh Province.
Tanjung Taruna Village is one of the areas in Jabiren Raya Subdistrict, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan province. This village is included in the peat swamp area and the Kahayan river basin. This village is geographically located in a watershed, making fishery products abundant, but the local community is constrained by marketing and processing fishery resources. Most of the population works as fishermen. This Village Development Grant Program (PHBD) activity aims to provide training and assistance to increase knowledge, skills and community welfare. The method of activity is carried out by conducting socialization, training and mentoring on the processing of fish into shredded and meatball products in order to increase the sale value of these fish which previously were only sold in the form of fresh fish and salted fish. The results of the activity showed that the participation of the participants was quite good with 38 participants. Based on the results of the training evaluation, it is known that 95.5% of the training participants have increased knowledge and can process fish products from their natural resources to be processed into fish balls and fish floss can be used as a source of household income.
Traditional fish aggregating devices (FADs) as fishing aids for surface gill net to catch pelagic fish were used by fishery community partner at Kuala Pesisir Sub District Nagan Raya District, so that operational/maintenance is high cost and those incomes of gill net’s fishermen obtains small. Therefore, palm fiber FADs technology is expected to alternatively increase income of surface gill net fishermen. Education, training, and accompaniment is approached to accomplish fishermen problems. Community partnership programe (PKM) was conducted in March until November 2018. Community partnership programe has increased knowledge and skill for fishery community. In addition, the quality of palm fiber FADs technology is better than the traditional FADs and production of fish catching.
Galah shrimp (Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man) was a high economic level fishery commodities. The efforts to increase productivity in galah shrimp cultivation can be done by applying efficiency the use of feed. One ingredient to reduce the large feed costs in feed production was from the type of caffeine compound. This study was aimed to analyze the dose of caffeine addition in the best feed on the growth and efficiency of shrimp feed. The method used was a completely randomized design experiment with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Caffeine levels used were 0; 0.5; 1; 1, 5; and 2 gr per kg of feed. The parameters observed were growth and feed efficiency. The results showed that the best addition of caffeine was P5 = 2 gr / kg of feed producing a specific growth rate of 0.0065; FCR 0.15 and EP 6.8. From the results of this study that the addition of caffeine in feed can have a positive effect on the observed parameters (P <0.05).
