Trotz Autklärungsmaßnahmen im Rahmen der HIV - Epidemie in den 80er Jahren sind sexuell übertragbare Erkrankungen (sexually transmitted diseases, STD) bis heute nicht überwunden und nehmen in der letzten Zeit durch zunehmende Migration auch in Europa wieder zu. Daher ist eine eingehende Kenntnis des klinischen Bildes und der nötigen diagnostischen und therapeutischen Maßnahmen für den tätigen Arzt von größter Bedeutung. Dem Dermatologen kommt aufgrund der historischen Entwicklung des Fachgebietes eine zentrale Rolle zu. Die diagnostischen und therapeutischen Standards von ausgewählten venerischen Erkrankungen wurden im Rahmen dieses STD-Seminars diskutiert. Nachfolgend werden die Inhalte zusammengefasst dargestellt.
