The present article elaborates a multi-product economic inventory model in which multiple items are considered with demand, which depends on time, abides power law, shortages, and complete backordering. The rate of production is greater than the rate of demand for each item. This type of demand pattern is accessible to various kinds of practical problems in the present modern era. In this paper, the production rate is assumed to be directly proportional to the rate of demand. In real situations, demand is always dependent on the price of any product, so it is also assumed that demand is depleted linearly with the price. This paper aims to fulfill the requirement of products and maximize the overall profit in any organization. Optimal values of involved costs, price, re-order point, and scheduling period are also calculated. In this work, the objective is to maximize the total profit and optimize production quantity. Optimization methods are used to obtain the maximum profit. Shortages are permitted and completely backordered. Total cost and production quantity models for deteriorating items have been developed. The study is validated with a numerical example, and sensitive analysis of the optimal solutions concerning main parameters is carried out using the software Mathematica. The tables are also shown for optimal values of the present model.
In this study an inventory model is elaborated for decaying products under the effect of preservation of items which is a major factor in the study of inventory control techniques. It controls the effect of deterioration of the stocked items. Considering the effect of deterioration and preservation technology, an inventory model for decaying items is presented with advertisement dependent demand and trade credit. The preservation technology prevents our stocked items but it requires some cost. In inventory control system the demand is most important factor for success and we have so many ideas to enhance the demand of our items. Advertisement of items is very beneficial to enhance the demand of products and attract the customers. The concept of trade and credit is also included in this study to enhance the number of customers. The aim of our study is to find the optimal values of preservation cost and advertising frequency. The whole study is presented in an inflationary environment. The optimal values of total cost, preservation technology cost and advertisement frequency are calculated. The results of model show that the credit period is beneficial to the retailer and the deteriorating items require more investments in preservation technology to achieve more profit. Also if the cost of advertisement is low then retailer can have more earnings by increasing the frequency of advertising. To verify and illustrate the model, a numerical example is given. Also, a sensitivity analysis is carried out to analyse the effect of variations of various parameters of the present model.
BAcKground: The purpose of the study was to compare the visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, subjective visual satisfaction, and spectacle independence in patients implanted with apodized diffractive multifocal versus monofocal intraocular lens following phacoemulsification. This was a 15-months prospective, interventional study. MAterIAl And MethodS: In each of the 60 patients enrolled in the study, one eye was operated. In 30 patients, we implanted monofocal intraocular lens (IOLs) (Group I) and in 30 consecutive patients — multifocal IOLs (Group II). Follow-up visits at postoperative 1st, 4th, and 6th week were done. Distance and near visual acuity, contrast sensitivity at 3, 6, 12, and 18cpd, refractive pseudophakic correction, and visual satisfaction by VF-14 questionnaire were assessed. reSultS: Uncorrected and best-corrected distance visual acuity were comparable between the two groups (p > 0.05). 100% of patients in group I and 96.66% in Group II attained best-corrected vision of > 6/9. Uncorrected near visual acuity was significantly better in Group II (p < 0.0001). Sixteen out of 30 patients in Group II achieved unaided N6 vision. Corrected near vision was similar in the two groups. Mean near correction was much lower (+0.76 DS ± 0.86) in Group II. Photopic contrast sensitivity was better in Group I at lower frequencies (3 and 6 cpd). More satisfaction and spectacle independence was seen in Group II. concluSIon: The apodised diffractive multifocal IOLs are a reasonable choice for patients who opt for freedom from glasses and understand its inherent limitation of reducing contrast to some degree.
As the size of the document collections are increasing day-by-day, finding an essential document clusters for classification problem is one of the major problem due to high inter and intra document variations. Also, most of the conventional classification models such as SVM, neural network and Bayesian models have high true negative rate and error rate for document classification process. In order to improve the computational efficacy of the traditional document classification models, a hybrid feature extraction-based document cluster approach and classification approaches are developed on the large document sets. In the proposed work, a hybrid glove feature selection model is proposed to improve the contextual similarity of the keywords in the large document corpus. In this work, a hybrid document clustering similarity index is optimized to find the essential key document clusters based on the contextual keywords. Finally, a hybrid document classification model is used to classify the clustered documents on large corpus. Experimental results are conducted on different datasets, it is noted that the proposed document clustering-based classification model has high true positive rate, accuracy and low error rate than the conventional models.
In this study, we have been developed a minimum variance and VOQL double sampling plan. We have minimized the variance of outgoing quality to develop a sampling plan under total rectification. This is an improvement over AOQL, which is commonly used in acceptance sampling plan. The thrust of this effort is to establish criteria for minimum variance sampling plans and derive the techniques for their determination. The result are explained & discussed and shown through the various tables.
In this study, a hybrid group acceptance sampling plan is proposed for a truncated life test when the lifetime of a system follows Sushila distribution. The minimum group size and operating characteristics values are determined when we fixed the sample group size and testing time (to). The operating characteristics values according to various consumers’ risk requirement are presented. The results are explained with the tables and suitable examples.
A field experiment was carried out at Crop Research Farm, Nawabganj, C. S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur during Rabi 2012-13 and 2013-14 in sodic soil with the initial pH 9.5, EC 2.42 dSm-1, organic carbon 1.2 g kg-1 and exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) 57.10. Tube-well water used for irrigation was alkaline in nature with pH 8.2, electrical conductivity (EC) 1.19 dSm-1, sodium absorption ratio (SAR) 10.2 m mol1/2 L-1/2 and residual sodium carbonate (RSC) 8.8 me L-1. Application of gypsum @ 25%, 50% and 100% Gypsum requirement (GR) alone and in combination with alkali water passing through 15 cm gypsum bed was found significantly superior over control. The maximum grain and straw yield (38.43 and 43.63 q ha-1) was recorded with the application of gypsum @ 50% GR and alkali water passing through 15 cm gypsum bed treatment and minimum at control. The changes in pH, EC, SAR and RSC values of alkali irrigation water were from 8.2 to 7.8, 1.19 to 1.47, 10.2 to 4.7 m mol1/2 L-1/2, and 8.83 to 4.02 me L-1, respectively when the alkali water was passed through 15 cm gypsum bed. The maximum reduction in pH, EC and ESP was recorded 8.0, 1.87 dSm-1 and 20.0, respectively with the application of gypsum (50% GR) + gypsum bed (15cm) treatment of alkali water. Use of alkali irrigation water (control) considerably raised the value of pH, EC and ESP of soil from 9.5 to 10.0, 2.42 to 2.83 dSm-1 and 57.10 to 66.15, respectively from the corresponding initial values, increase in uptake values of N, P, K, Zn, Ca and Mg was recorded in all treatment over control, whereas, relatively lower uptake of Na was recorded in all the treatment in comparison to control.
Isoflavones are one of the various phytochemicals present in soybean considered responsible for its health benefits.Isoflavone come under the class of polyphenolic compounds and are of different chemical forms. In soybean genistein, daidzein and their glycosidic forms are the major isoflavones present. In addition to these small amounts of glycitein and its derivatives are also present.A branch of phenyl propanoid pathway is responsible for isoflavone biosynthesis from simpler precursors.Isoflavone synthase is the key enzyme of this pathway. After action of this enzyme other modifications like glycosylation and malonylation can occur.Due to its structural similarity to estrogens, isoflavones show agnostic and sometimes antagonistic activity, which is considered responsible for anti-cancerous properties of soybean. However, bioavailability is a key factor for bioactivity. The use of microbial fermentation/isolation of efficient hydrolyzing enzymes can make the isoflavones more bioavailable in human digestive system.
Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters is very important in signal Processing Applications. This research is to analyze the performance of FIR filter with the Xilinx Software. The Distributed Arithmetic (DA) algorithm is extensively used in FIR Filter to improve its speed and reducing the area of the filter. The design of low power filter will be achieved by pipelining and parallel processing concept on distributed Arithmetic. The aim is to design filter which has less delay time and supports the pipelining/parallel processing feature, helps in high speed with less power dissipation and area. The paper discusses FPGA implementation of FIR filter and due to parallel data processing its computation is fast and also provides an efficient architecture in terms of area and power consumption. New Distributed Arithmetic is a high performance and for low power filter.

New spectrophotometric method has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of Sitagliptin phosphate and Pioglitazone hydrochloride in bulk. This method was based on the application of Vierodt’s method which involves the formation and solving of simultaneous equations at 267nm and 269nm, as absorbance maxima of Sitagliptin and Pioglitazone respectively. The Calibration curves were linear with correlation coefficient of 0.9999 over the concentration range of 20-120μg/ml for Sitagliptin and 2.5-25μg/ml for Pioglitazone respectively. The mean percent recovery was found to be 101.3±0.88 and 94.5±3.47for Sitagliptin and Pioglitazone respectively. The results of analysis were validated statistically. The proposed simple UV method was rapid, accurate, precise and economical and can be used in the quality control of pharmaceutical formulations and routine laboratory analysis. The drug excipient interference study was carriedout on various commonly used excipients.
Thin zeolite films are attractive for a wide range of applications, including molecular sieve membranes, catalytic membrane reactors, permeation barriers, and low-dielectric-constant materials. Synthesis of thin zeolite films using high-aspect-ratio zeolite nanosheets is desirable because of the packing and processing advantages of the nanosheets over isotropic zeolite nanoparticles. Attempts to obtain a dispersed suspension of zeolite nanosheets via exfoliation of their lamellar precursors have been hampered because of their structure deterioration and morphological damage (fragmentation, curling, and aggregation). We demonstrated the synthesis and structure determination of highly crystalline nanosheets of zeolite frameworks MWW and MFI. The purity and morphological integrity of these nanosheets allow them to pack well on porous supports, facilitating the fabrication of molecular sieve membranes.
