Background: Constipation is a highly frequent complication in patients with chronic gastrointestinal disorder and intestinal cancer. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes of gut microbiota in the disease development from chronic constipation to intestinal tumor. Methods: Loperamide-induced constipation model was established to verify that chronic constipation can increase the risk of intestinal tumor. 128 Kunming mice were divided into four groups, namely, healthy, chronic constipation, intestinal tumor induced by chronic constipation and intestinal tumor with constipation after DMH (dimethylhydrazine) induction. The fecal bacterial diversity was profiled by the V3 and V4 region of the 16S ribosomal RNA genes. Result: Healthy mice showed enrichment in operational taxonomic units (OTUs) affiliated with members of the Lactobacillus, Clostridium XlVa, Allobaculum and etc. Chronic constipation mice showed the decreases in OTUs affiliated with members of the Lactobacillus genus and the increase of the Barnesiella genus. Tumor-bearing mice showed enrichment in OTUs affiliated with members of the Barnesiella. Conclusions: These results suggest that changes in the gut microbiota in mice with chronic constipation probably contribute to tumorigenesis and modulation of the gut microbiota may help to alleviate chronic constipation and eventually prevent the development of colon cancer.
Varied frequencies of coronary artery anomalies (CAAs) and myocardial bridge (MB) exist in previous studies. Race and gender may play a role. The present study aimed to investigate the gender differences in types and frequencies of coronary artery anomalies (CAAs) and myocardial bridge (MB) in Chinese undergoing 320-slice coronary computed tomography. The authors assessed prospectively the records of 10,457 consecutive patients who underwent 320-slice coronary computed tomography for any reason. CAAs were divided into 4 groups: 1) Anomalies of origination; 2) Anomalies of intrinsic coronary arterial anatomy; 3) fistula; 4) Number anomalies. Clinical relevance based classifications of CAAs (Class I-Benign; II-Relevant; III-Severe; IV-Critical) were also presented. Types and frequencies of CAAs and MB were compared between males and females. The overall prevalence of CAAs was 2.60% in our study, involving 0.62% of anomalies of origination, 1.72% of anomalies of intrinsic coronary arterial anatomy, 0.23% of fistula, and 0.04% of number anomalies. Gender differences were not presented in the frequencies of the majority of CAAs (p>0.05). However, males were more likely to have LCX originating from the right sinus of Valsalva when compared with females (0.11% vs. 0.01%, p=0.027). There was no difference of clinical relevance based classifications of CAAs between males and females (p>0.05). The prevalence of MB was 33.15% (3466/10,475) in total. Higher frequency (19.13% vs. 14.0%, p 0.05). In conclusion, LCX originating from the right sinus of Valsalva and MB with longer average length occurred more frequently in Chinese males than females.
Cardiac computed tomography is a widespread and noninvasive diagnostic tool in clinical practice. Computed tomographic angiography provides anatomic images of the coronary artery trees, as well as detects, characterizes and quantifies coronary plaques, which has important implication in cardiac diagnosis, risk stratification and management. Unfortunately, computed tomographic angiography tends toward overestimation of coronary stenoses and may encourage unnecessary invasive angiography. Computed tomography-derived fractional flow reserve, combing anatomic and functional information, is a useful physiological test for the detection and exclusion of ischemic lesions, and has the potential of being a reliable gatekeeper to the pathway of invasive angiography. However, cardiac computed tomography has its own limitations: poor temporal resolution, numerous artifacts, large radiation exposure, contrast-induced nephropathy, and hypothetical models. Future possibilities should focus on the methods to overcome these limitations.
Objective:To explore the mechanisms of ERK in affecting estrogen receptor signaling pathway by investigating the changes of the expression levels of nuclear receptor co-activatorPCAF protein and wild-type P53 protein and their gene transcription in the process of estrogen promoting transformation of cell cycle and resisting apoptosis of breast cancer cell MCF-7 after inhibitting ERK. Methods:Estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells MCF-7 were divided into 17β-estradiol treatment group,17 β-E2 + ERK inhibitor PD98059 treatment group,and the control group. The apoptosis of cell and cycle were analyzed by flow cytometry. The expression of phosphorylated ERK1/2 and PCAF protein and wild-type p53 were detected by Western blot.The expression of pcaf mRNA and wild-type p53 mRNA were detected by RT-PCR. Results:With phosphorylation inhibitor of ERK PD98059,the effect of 17β-estradiol in resisting apoptosis and prmoting transformation of MCF-7 cell cycle was reversed,and the rate of early apoptosis of MCF-7 cell was raised(P0.05).The numberof G1 phase cells increased,and the numberof S and Mphase cells decreased(P 0.01). The expression level of PCAF protein and P-ERK1/2 protein decreased remarkably (P0.01). The difference ofgene transcription ofPCAF had no statistical significance(P0.05).The protein expression level and gene transcription of wild-type P53 were reinforced (P0.01 ). Conclusion:The effect of ERK on estrogen in resisting apoptosis and promoting transformation of breast cancercell MCF-7 are associated with PCAF enhancing the signal of estrogen receptor,and changing of the expression level of wild-type p53 protein and its gene transcription.
Nesting is an indispensable process for the production design of shipbuilding,the correct information marking shall directly affect the subsequent processes.Through analyzing shipyard's existing nesting plate model,this article reveals the deficiencies of it.Through secondary development of Tribon with Python Language,this article develops an automatic marking system for nesting plate,which realizes automatic marking for the part information of nesting plate.The application of the automatic marking system improves the efficiency of production design and brings the convenience for the follow-up works as well.
Key factors affected the lateral buds induction and suitable media for Fraxinus griffithii were studied in this paper.Types of basic media,effect of 6-BA and NAA concentration on lateral buds induction of F.griffithii were conducted by orthogonal experiments using stem segments as explants.Results showed that basic media had the largest effect on lateral buds induction rate,followed by 6-BA,and NAA.Combination of WPM+ 6-BA 5.0mg/L + NAA 0.5mg/L was the most suitable culture medium for the lateral buds induction.

Objective To explore the effect of the complications as related to cor pulmonale death.Methods Clinical data of 237 elderly chronic cor pulmonale patients were retrospectively reviewed and analyzed.Results The occurrence of complications and the mortality rate were positively correlated:P0.0001.The mean complication was higher in the death group than that in the survival group:P0.0001.The causes for the death included multi-organ function failure,respiratory failure,heart failure,renal failure,serious electrolyte abnormal,malnutrition and pneumonia.(P value ranging between 0.001 and 0.0289).Conclusion To reduce the mortality rate,we should prevent and reduce the complications,correct the possible organ's failures,improve the respiratory and heart functions and have the number of complications controlled within 3.
