Development of information technology results in creation of more and more advanced teaching assisting systems. The authors of the article made an attempt to design and use the adaptative educational system based on the technologies: J2EE, JSF and XML. Unlike most hitherto solutions, the authors propose a three-tier architecture of the system and its improvement with additional functionalities.
The construction of database for physical magnitudes is shown. The architecture of the clientserver type is used. The Linux Red Hat 8.0 system is exploited as the software platform. The Apache server, served by PHP programming language and cooperating with database MySQL type is used. The created database is accessible by Internet and makes possible access to information about the global properties of atomic nuclei.
Ontologiczna inżynieria wiedzy jest dobrą podstawą metodologiczną, a ontologie dziedzin przedmiotowych ważnym elementem konstrukcyjnym semantycznych systemów reprezentacji wiedzy. W artykule omówiono budowanie ontologii w oparciu o edytor ontologii FluentEditor i język CNL (Controlled Natural Language). Przykładową ontologię dotyczącą fragmentu procesu produkcji rolniczej wykorzystano do budowy semantycznej bazy wiedzy.
Artykuł prezentuje zagadnienia dotyczące zastosowania interfejsu mózg – komputer do współpracy z aplikacją edukacyjną.
Semantic technologies appear as a step on the way to creating systems capable of representing the physical world as real time computational processes. In this context, the paper presents a toolchain for an ontology based knowledge management system. It consists of the ontology editor, FluentEditor and the distributed knowledge representation system, Ontorion. FluentEditor is a comprehensive tool for editing and manipulating complex ontologies that uses Controlled Natural Language (CNL). Its main feature is the usage of Controlled English as a knowledge modelling language. Ontorion is a Distributed Knowledge Management System with Natural Language interfaces (CNL) and a built-in rules engine. The Ontorion system is equipped with plugins for connection with other software environments, for example rOntorion using an R language package to access ontologies. It is exemplified with the semantic extension of On Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) using R language.
In December 2012 the group of physicists from Atomic Mass Data Center, located at Centre de Spectrométrie Nucléaire et de Spectrométrie de Masse (CSNSM), Orsay, France, shared the databases of atomic nuclei (cf.[1]) containing a lot of experimental data characterizing the nucleus, for example, nuclear ground-state masses and radii, magnetic moments, half-lives, spins and parities of excited and ground-state, their decay modes and the relative intensities of these decays, the deformations and many others. Today there are about 2830 nuclei that have been observed. It is estimated that the total number of nuclei which may be obtained by experimenters is between 6000 and 7000. It is evident that many properties of atomic nuclei are so far unknown and we usually define them using a variety of theoretical methods, based on those properties of nuclei which are already known. One of the most important properties is the spin of the nucleus in the ground state, specifying also the possible excited states. The main aim of the presented paper is to use the latest experimental data to check the existing theoretical methods of the prediction of unknown spins of nuclei and proposals for new estimates based on the methods of data mining and artificial intelligence [4,6,8,9,11] We compare the different models of the prediction of spin value with the help of the R programistic language, well fitted to statistical and data mining modelling. The properties of atomic nuclei have been collected in the MySQL database. In order to integrate the R language with MySQL we use the package RMySQL which contains the interface to communicate with the MySQL.
The problem of describing spontaneous fission for the entire region of superheavy nuclei is continually present in theoretical investigations. This study outlines the results of the calculations of fission barriers and spontaneous fission half-lives for superheavy nuclei in the region of Z =100-122 using a mean field model. We examine four distinct macroscopic models and two types of pairing interactions. Our approach is based on the deformed Woods-Saxon potential. Spontaneous fission half-lives are calculated using a multi-dimensional dynamical-programming method, where the action integral is minimized within a three dimensional deformation space (β2, β4, β6).
Teaching support systems usually enable saving teaching history meaning logs. Records of database logs we can use to the quality analysis of materials as well as the degree of difficulty of individual modules of the learning. In this paper the methods of the registration of logs on the educational platform were discussed and analysis results of logs were presented for the Moodle platform.
Regarding numerous threats connected with sending and storing confidential data, there is a problem of assuring the efficiency. As an answer to those needs, we discuss the SUN‘s Java Virtual Machine mechanism provided to assure security to a single object. Thanks to the mechanism of serialization in Java, it is possible to provide secure solution. In this paper, we compare the efficiency of algorithms such as DES, Blowfish, AES, RSA and ECC as means of securing serialization of an object.
Barriers and spontaneous fission half lives of superheavy isotopes of Z = 112 (N = 150–190) nucleus are calculated using state dependent δ-pairing and both BCS or Lipkin-Nogami (LN) approach. Four different models of macroscopic part of Strutinsky energy are probed. Results for different macroscopic models combined with δ+LN approach give the half lives well compared to experimental data. The calculations are performed in three dimensional space of deformation parameters β = {β2, β4, β6}. The probability of spontaneous fission has been obtained by dynamical action minimization method.
The learning creation interface constituting one of the most important elements incorporated inthe Adaptive System LISE has been discussed in the present paper. The technologies associatedwith the use of JSF and EJB, Swing as well as GUI Builder have been selected for the testing.JDBO and JDO packages have been used in order to compare various technologies ofconnection with the database. The tests have been carried out on the MySQL server and Sun JavaSystem Application was used as the application server. The obtained results enable the choice ofoptimal solution.
Nuclear pairing interaction plays a crucial role in both macroscopic-microscopic and fully macroscopic descriptions of nuclei. In the present study we discuss different pairing interactions (monopole and delta pairing forces) and the methods allowing for the particle number symmetry restoration in addition to the customary BCS treatment of pairing correlations in the context of alpha-decay half-lives for superheavy nuclei. The calculations are done in the macroscopic-microscopic framework for even-even nuclei with Z > 110.
