The Alecu Russo State University (Romanian: Universitatea de Stat „Alecu Russo” din Bălți (USARB)) is a university located in Bălți, Moldova. It was named after the 19th century Romanian illuminist and ethnologist Alecu Russo..
The significant complexity and widespread use of information and communication technologies, as well as the increasing number of cyberattacks against citizens, society, and the state, pose a challenge for modern society. The development of information security skills, regardless of the level of education, has become a permanent task for society. In many countries, there are numerous programs dedicated to lifelong information security education. This article presents the process of designing and implementing a STEM project to explore one of the methods of ensuring information security, namely electronic digital signatures. The STEM project is organized in the form of a web quest. The paper analyzes the project's results and the skills that are being developed.
Single crystals of MgGaInS4 and Мg0.5Ga2InS5 with layered structure were obtained by a method of chemical vapor deposition with iodine as a transport agent. During the growth of single crystals, the temperature in the source zone was 880 °C, and in the crystallization zone 820 °C. A complete transfer of the charge was achieved within 12–14 days. The final product was a set of transparent lemon-yellow single-crystal plates 1–500 μm thick and up to 100 mm2 in area. When exposed to air, the crystals do not show signs of interaction with oxygen or moisture and can be stored indefinitely long. The samples, like mica, could be easily split indicating their layered crystalline structure. X-ray studies showed that MgGaInS4 crystallizes in a hexagonal lattice with parameters a = 3.8(1) Å and c = 30.6 Å; Mg0.5Ga2InS5 crystallizes in a hexagonal lattice with parameters a = 3.8(1) Å and c = 12.2(1) Å. The c axis runs along the direction perpendicular to the plates. Surface barrier structures Pt–MgGaInS4–In were manufactured. Photoelectrical and optical properties of MgGaInS4 and Мg0.5Ga2InS5 and surface barrier structures on their basis were investigated. Surface-barrier structures had a rectification coefficient of 102–103 and generated photo-e.m.f. when illuminated, the maximum value of which was 300 mV. The photoresponse time of these structures in the photovoltaic mode is τ ≈ 10−3 s.
The main purpose of the research is to analyze euphemisms expressing „death” in Romanian and German, as central elements of the antinomy prohibition – non-prohibition. The study focuses on euphemistic phraseological expressions, which reflect cultural attitudes and discursive strategies to avoid the direct naming of death. The corpus examined in both languages is semantically classified into metaphorical patterns such as „journey”, „sleep”, „end”, „illness” or „return home” and is compared from a linguistic, stylistic and symbolic perspective. The paper highlights cross-cultural similarities and differences and analyzes the presence of these constructions in contemporary communication. The results contribute to understanding the socio-pragmatic function of euphemisms and support the correct translation of obituaries, death announcements and other funerary texts in multilingual contexts.
This research investigates the specificity of value orientations in adolescents, with a gender-differentiated approach, by analyzing the hierarchy of 35 value indicators. The results highlight the existence of clear differences between boys and girls in terms of prioritizing fundamental values. In boys, an emphasis on values related to health and protection is noted, reflected in the top ranking of indicators such as "abstinence from drug use" and "belonging to a stable family", which suggests a major concern for physical and social integrity and professional self-fulfillment. In contrast, adolescent tend to prioritize interpersonal relationships and personal development, with "love" representing the main value, along with increased attention paid to aesthetics and self-knowledge. Girls also show a marked concern for protection and prevention values, highlighted by the rejection of tobacco and alcohol consumption. A comparative analysis with data from previous studies indicates a shift in value positioning, marked by increased awareness of health risks and a decrease in the importance attributed to material well-being. These findings reflect contemporary socio-cultural influences and educational dynamics in the configuration of adolescents' value systems, revealing gender differences as determining factors in the process of forming value identity.
