Serratia marcescens are the secondary metabolite for production of red pigment. This pigment is a promising drug owing having antifungal, immunosuppressive and anti-proliferative activity. In given study optimization of LB for maximum yield of pigment production was performed. The pigment produced was partially purified to study its antimicrobial activity. The optimization for pigment production was carried out to increase pigment production using parameters viz; Incubation period, pH, Temperature, Percent inoculum, Oil substrates play a vital role in pigment production. LB media was supplemented with Sesame, Groundnut, Coconut, and Sunflower oil to enhance pigment production. The purity of pigment was checked by TLC and SGC. The partially purified form of the pigment showed antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.
This work presents a compact dual-resonance multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array for internet of things (IoT)-enabled smart devices requiring both 5G and Wi-Fi connectivity. The antenna operates at 3.6 GHz (5G smartphones) and 5.4 GHz (high-speed Wi-Fi), using a dual-resonance MIMO configuration for reliable multi-device communication. An integrated electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structure suppresses surface waves, reducing mutual coupling and achieving 35 dB isolation with an envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) of 0.05. A fabricated prototype validated the design, with measurements aligning closely with simulations. The proposed antenna offers compactness, dual-band operation, low coupling, and strong MIMO performance, making it well-suited for next-generation IoT systems.
Ulcerative Colitis is a kind of IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). Recurrent episodes of gastrointestinal tract inflammation brought on by an aberrant immune response to gut microbiota is what defines IBD. India has the highest reported incidence of IBD (931 cases per 100,000 people) and UC (5.41 cases per 100,000 people) among the world's developing nations. It's interesting to note that whereas UC is more common in Northern India, CD is more common in Southern India. In a few years, India may have the highest overall burden of IBD due to its large population. Globally, the burden of disease will keep increasing because mortality is often low.The present study reveals historical background, epidemiology, and pathophysiology of Ulcerative Colitis, while also drawing comparisons between modern treatment modalities and traditional systems like Ayurveda. Ongoing research is focused on refining treatment strategies, with a tailored approach to enhance patient outcomes, minimize recurrence, and improve the quality of life for individuals dealing with Ulcerative Colitis.
Menstruation is part of the female reproductive cycle and represents an important developmental stage where menstrual hygiene should be observed to protect the health and dignity of women and girls4. wash with soap, water, etc. and maintain personal hygiene5. Our study Shows that the majority, or 60% (300 participants), identified their mother as their main educator about menstruation. Reactions when first menses occurred shows Half of the participants (50%) reported that their menarche was celebrated, indicating a positive and culturally significant acknowledgment of this milestone. However, 70 girls (14%) reacted by crying, suggesting feelings of sadness or distress. The most commonly used product, pads were utilized by 70% of participants (350 girls). This suggests that disposable sanitary pads are the preferred choice, likely due to ease of use and widespread availability. Our study sheds light on the menstrual health practices, challenges, and support needs of school-going girls. We identified key challenges in managing menstrual hygiene, including inadequate disposal facilities, lack of privacy, and restricted access to menstrual products, compounded by stigma.
