Purpose The metaverse is an interconnected network of virtual environments that facilitates immersive three-dimensional experiences through the integration of Internet of Things, virtual reality (VR), blockchain, and augmented reality (AR). As the application of metaverse is expanding in multiple domains, including education, it becomes essential to explore the potential impact within this context. Accordingly, the purpose of the study is to explore the adoption of AI-driven metaverse in the education system by utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Hedonic Consumption Behaviour Theory (HCBT) and six other factors derived from the literature. Method The structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 415 valid metaverse users through snowball sampling technique and analyzed using the “Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM)” in Smart PLS4. Results The research validates the importance of TAM, HCBT, and other identified factors in comprehending the metaverse adoption. The result of the study reveals that all the hypothesized relationships has been supported except perceived trialibility and perceived cyber risk affecting intention to adopt metaverse in education system (IMES). Additionally, the moderating role of social innovativeness has been found significant in influencing the relationship between attitude and IMES. Implications This study identifies significant factors influencing IMES, such as perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and emotional involvement. These factors serve as reference points for industry stakeholders, service providers, and policymakers to develop more immersive and engaging metaverse platforms for virtual learning environments that foster interactive, collaborative, and pedagogically effective educational experiences, ultimately enhancing learning outcomes for both students and teachers.
This study discusses how educational management methods can enhance learning outcomes of children with disabilities in inclusive education programs. Although the world has made commitments to equal education, disabled children still experience restrictions in form of poor resources, untrained teachers and few institutions. The study has quantitative approach whereby it will employ 150 respondents who include teachers, special educators, administrators and parents. To study relationships between variables, SPSS statistical analysis, such as reliability, descriptive, correlation and regression analysis, was performed. The results demonstrate that the educational management practices are strongly connected to the learning outcomes and inclusive teaching practices are the most influential, followed by teacher training, educational management, and assistive technology. The regression model exhibits a high degree of explanatory power, which implies that all these factors increase academic performance, participation, and social development. Lack of adequate training and gaps in infrastructure are some of the challenges noted by the study. In general, the study indicates that successful inclusive education requires the efficient organization, teacher training, and the use of assistive technologies. The results offer some practical advice to policymakers and education systems to enhance inclusive education and learning among children with disabilities.
The lack of interactive and digital platforms that facilitate the exploration and in-depth studies of medicinal plants has caused a major barrier among students, professors, medical professionals, and researchers who require a deeper understanding of the topic, especially the students, since visual and interactive platforms can increase their interest and contribution to the field. The presented study explores the designed, developed, and evaluated a Godot-powered virtual environment metaverse for a botanical garden. A virtual botanical garden embedded in a website for educational and interactive purposes for students, medical professionals, and plant enthusiasts. The objective of this work is to highlight the creation of the metaverse that is beneficial for the Ministry of Ayush. The name of the ministry itself is a combination of first letters of all the different traditional medicine systems: Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa, and Homeopathy. The metaverse has been explored in this study and is set to be used for research for herb-based plants which are useful for medicinal purposes and healthcare.
This research aims to introduce, validate, and assess a model rooted in protean career orientation (PCO), career satisfaction, and psychological well-being within the unique context of young professionals in the IT sector within a burgeoning economy. The study also delves into exploring the moderating influence of self-efficacy, first between protean career orientation and career satisfaction, and second between protean career orientation and psychological well-being. The study employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and moderation tests utilizing Hayes’ [33] PROCESS macro. A representative sample of 300 IT professionals from Delhi-NCR was utilized to conduct the research. The data analysis results underscore a significant influence of protean career orientations among IT employees on both career satisfaction and psychological well-being. Furthermore, the study reveals the moderating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between PCO and psychological well-being, as well as between psychological well-being and career satisfaction. This study contributes to the extant literature by expanding the understanding of self-efficacy, shedding light on potential outcomes associated with protean career orientation among IT professionals.
Abstract The primary purpose of this chapter is to create a structured framework for analyzing the ethical, legal, and human resource management (HRM) complexities of crowdsourcing. It considers ethical dilemmas, ways crowdsourcing is used in organizations, parties affected by its activities, and HRM concerns such as labor rights, motivation, and fair compensation. The study develops a taxonomy of ethical considerations to clarify ethical principles, legal obligations, and HRM best practices for a responsible crowdsourcing ecosystem. It employs a theoretical framework using secondary sources like websites, journals, research papers, blogs, and articles. Existing reports and literature are examined to identify common ethical and legal problems in crowdsourcing, along with moral dimensions and HRM issues concerning workers’ rights and motivation. Findings highlight dilemmas such as data privacy, security, intellectual property theft, fraud, lack of fairness, transparency, and accountability. HRM concerns like worker exploitation, inadequate compensation, and motivation are also discussed. A comprehensive taxonomy organizes principles and dilemmas according to different crowdsourcing models to clarify ethical issues. As a theoretical study, it relies on secondary data and focuses only on legal and ethical concerns, leaving economic, technological, and managerial perspectives undiscussed. The study presents a model that safeguards privacy, ensures data security, promotes fairness, and maintains accountability while aligning with organizational objectives. It contributes to creating a fair, reliable, and legally sound crowdsourcing ecosystem, raising awareness of ethical and legal concerns, and fostering a culture of improvement, responsibility, and collaboration. Unlike earlier research, it integrates ethical principles, business models, HRM procedures, and stakeholder interests.
