This review examines recent advances in semi-analytical and hybrid solution methodologies for nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equation (ODE/PDE) systems. Its primary focus is on the Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM), the Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM), and the Akbari–Ganji Method (AGM). These approaches are categorized as semi-analytical because they combine analytical series expansions with iterative or numerical steps to obtain approximate solutions. Thereby occupying an intermediate position between fully analytical methods (i.e. exact closed-form solutions) and fully numerical techniques. The discussion systematically addresses their theoretical properties, including convergence behavior, computational requirements, and the role of hybrid extensions. Selected engineering applications are highlighted, with emphasis on nonlinear oscillators, heat transfer systems, biosensor modeling, and reaction–diffusion problems. A comparative assessment of strengths, limitations, and failure scenarios (e.g. stiffness, slow convergence) is provided to guide method selection. This study presents a structured synthesis that identifies problem classes, recommends appropriate solution methods, and highlights scenarios in which hybrid strategies can enhance stability and computational efficiency. Overall, this review provides researchers with a practical framework for selecting and applying semi-analytical methods to solve nonlinear problems efficiently.
Transition toward circular economy (CE) has become a central priority for firms seeking to enhance sustainability while improving corporate financial performance (CFP). As research on this intersection expands rapidly, a comprehensive and data-driven overview is needed to clarify its intellectual structure, thematic diversity, and knowledge gaps. Our study employs BERTopic modeling to identify coherent thematic clusters and their temporal dynamics, and conducts Scientometrics analysis to map the evolution of CE research. We employed PRISMA-guided screening process to retrieve 1,870 peer-reviewed articles published between 1977 and 2024 from Scopus database. Our results show eight major research themes in which advancing sustainability through circular innovation shows the highest and most consistent growth, reflecting increasing scholarly and industrial attention toward integrating circular economy principles and technological innovation. Conversely, biological pathways for sustainable production have gained noticeable research momentum while emerging themes such as blockchain technology in circular economy and biological pathways for sustainable production arrest considerable research attention, highlighting the integration of digitalization and biotechnology into sustainability frameworks. This study concludes by identifying methodological and thematic gaps and offering actionable recommendations to future research for managers, and policymakers.
The Black Soldier Fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens) is globally acknowledged for its potential to transform organic waste into high-value products. The article has identified and evaluated the valuable produce from various stages of BSF, and comprehended the methods for valuable extractions. The innovative potential of BSF valuables is derived using Patentscope — a patent database from World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva. A total of 591 patent records were derived, and recent patents in year 2025 were summarized along with their key features. Following that, this narrative review has given special attention towards 169 targets of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) attainment. On closure observation of all the reviewed literature, it is apparent that various researchers had aligned BSF valuables to a selected few SDGs only. Based on that, the present article focused on to BSF valuables mapping with 169 targets of all 17 SDGs. Each target in SDGs is quantified on a scale of 1 to 10 where, scale 1 is the lowest and 10 is the highest, while 0 is given where no connection is possible. BSF-based value chains show the highest contribution potential to SDG 12, 2, 9, 1 and 13 under the proposed scoring framework. This article derived the BSF success stories from fifteen nations. At the last, this article comprehended the policy intervention based on success stories and constrains to achieve targets of sustainable global goals. In a nutshell, this article worked out the innovations in BSF, and mapped successfully BSF valuable with 169 targets of 17 SDGs.
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are one of the photovoltaic technologies that has progressed rapidly. In the development of fabrication techniques for these devices, blade-coating and spin-coating techniques have emerged as significant industrial processes with great potential for converting renewable energy. In this review article, a comprehensive study of these techniques has been conducted to evaluate their advancements and commercial viability. The blade-coating technique has shown development in power conversion efficiency from 2.06
The role of renewable energy has significantly improved in recent years, helping to mitigate the damage caused to natural resources. One of the most prominent forms of renewable energy is electricity produced from wind, air and sunlight. The current study focuses on a solar absorber that primarily uses sunlight as a renewable energy solution. This absorber features a design combining a cross-shaped and square structure, utilising two different materials: silicon (Si) and titanium (Ti), for the resonator design. The graphene composition is placed on a tin (IV) selenide (SnSe2) substrate with an aluminium nitride (AlN) layer. The overall absorption efficiency is 93.02% at 2800 nm, with an absorption rate exceeding 98% at the 1100 nm band. The design's performance is expressed in terms of the electric and magnetic field intensities, and it includes a polarisation-insensitive configuration. The linear regression method employed for machine learning optimisation, achieving a high R & sup2; value of 0.98.
