The escalating global demand for high-quality animal-derived proteins has driven the search for sustainable alternatives. Black soldier fly larvae (BSFL; Hermetia illucens L.) oil presents a promising option, by addressing organic waste management while providing nutrient-rich feed. This study evaluated the effects of dietary supplementation with BSFL oil on growth performance, hematological characteristics, and blood lipid profiles in mice (Mus musculus). Male mice were randomly assigned to five groups (n = 5): positive control (fish oil, 5 mL/kg body weight [BW]), negative control (Aquadest, 5 mL/kg BW), and three treatment groups receiving BSFL oil at 2.5, 5, and 10 mL/kg BW, respectively. Interventions were administered orally for 28 days; assessments included BW, hematological parameters, and lipid profiles. The results indicated that 10 mL/kg BW BSFL oil significantly increased BW (34.40 +/- 0.74 g) compared to the fish oil group (31.6 +/- 0.67 g, p < 0.05). Hematological parameters and lipid profiles did not differ significantly across groups (p > 0.05). However, leukocyte profiles exhibited significant variations (p < 0.05), particularly at 10 mL/kg BW of BSFL oil, suggesting immunomodulation. This preliminary proof-of-concept study in mice provides the first head-to-head comparison of unrefined BSFL and commercial fish oil utility, offering mechanistic insights applicable to livestock nutrition.

2Exploring Social Media Use and Psychological Well-Being in Higher Education: a Bibliometric Analysis of Trends and Themes
Dina Lusiana Setyowati,Gusman Nawanir,Muhammad Ashraf Fauzi

PurposeTo map and synthesize research on the patterns of associations between social media use and psychological well-being among higher-education populations.Design/methodology/approachBibliometric review of 467 Web of Science records (articles/reviews; searched date: December 11, 2024) spanning 2019 to 2024. We applied bibliographic coupling and co-word analysis using VOSviewer with standardized keywords (stemming, stop-word removal; minimum co-occurrence threshold; and association-strength normalization).FindingsFour robust clusters emerged: (1) pandemic-related stress and disparities; (2) FoMO/social comparison and affect; (3) problematic or excessive use and its correlates (anxiety, depression, loneliness); and (4) technology affordances, engagement, and subjective well-being. These findings reflect recurrent patterns in the literature rather than causal effects. Active/meaningful use is often linked to social support and life satisfaction, whereas passive, exposure-heavy, or dysregulated use is often linked to stress and poor well-being.Research limitations/implicationsReliance on a single, English-language database may under-represent region-specific scholarship and introduce citation lag and publication-language bias. Consistent with bibliometric methods, the results describe associations rather than causal relationships.Practical implicationsProvides evidence-informed guidance for universities and student counselling services to support digital-hygiene education and platform-sensitive, prevention-focused interventions.Social implicationsClarifies opportunities to foster connectedness while identifying risk profiles and usage patterns that warrant prevention.Originality/valueThis study provides a transparent, open, and reproducible network-level mapping centered on higher-education cohorts and platform-sensitive insights.

3Supplier Selection Decision-Making and Firm Performance: the Effects of Supply Chain Integration, Green Supply Chain Practice, and Supply Chain Quality
    Zainal Abidin,Zeplin Jiwa Husada Tarigan

Companies strive to improve performance by adopting a green supply chain, integrating suppliers and customers to maintain product quality through supplier selection decisions. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between supplier selection decision-making and firm performance, with supply chain integration, green supply chain practice, and supply chain quality as intervening variables. Data collection was conducted at manufacturing companies by distributing questionnaires directly to practitioners and providing online links for respondents to complete. The results of data collection for this study amounted to 174 questionnaires ready for further processing using SmartPLS. The results of data processing show that supplier selection decision-making directly influences supply chain integration and green supply chain practice but does not directly impact supply chain quality. Supply chain integration plays a direct role in improving green supply chain practice, supply chain quality, and company performance. The green supply chain practice established within the company can improve supply chain quality and company performance. The company's ability to implement supply chain quality standards in its product production can improve its performance. The practical contribution of the research provides enlightenment for managers in designing appropriate policies and procedures in supplier selection that not only consider costs, but also encourage integration, implementation of green practices, improvement of supply chain quality, and ultimately strengthen company performance. 4Linking Seasonal Fractional Vegetation Cover Dynamics with Soil Organic Carbon Stock and Microbial Indicators in Tropical Agroecosystems
Ni Made Trigunasih,Moh Saifulloh,Ida Bagus Putu Bhayunagiri, Zulkarnain

Reliable indicators of early soil biological change remain limited in tropical agroecosystems, where soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks may respond more slowly than microbial processes. We evaluated whether seasonal vegetation dynamics derived from Sentinel-2 fractional vegetation cover (FVC) are associated with spatial variation in SOC stock and microbial indicators in Jembrana, Bali, Indonesia. We mapped seasonal FVC from 2019 to 2024 and derived site-level metrics of mean cover and temporal variability (standard deviation, anomaly, coefficient of variation, and a temporal stability index). In July 2023, we sampled topsoil (0-30 cm) at 12 sites representing contrasting land uses and topographic settings. We calculated SOC stock from organic carbon concentration, bulk density, and sampling depth, and measured basal respiration and culturable microbial density (colony-forming units, CFU). Vegetation cover peaked consistently during the wet season (December to February), and mean site FVC ranged from 0.31 to 0.99. Mean FVC showed positive but non-significant associations with culturable microbial density (Spearman's p = 0.48, P = 0.114) and basal respiration (p = 0.29, P = 0.361), whereas higher vegetation variability metrics tended to coincide with lower culturable microbial density (p =-0.43 to-0.51, P = 0.090 to 0.163). SOC stock showed near-zero coefficients and no statistical evidence of association with vegetation metrics (p = 0.09, P = 0.781) or microbial indicators (p = 0.01, P = 0.975). Principal component analysis of FVC traits explained 99.65% of the variance and separated sites along a gradient from stable, high cover to more variable, lower cover. Overall, FVC stability metrics captured spatial differences that were directionally consistent with microbial indicators, but associations were not statistically significant in this dataset (n = 12). Larger, replicated studies with repeated soil sampling are required to evaluate whether seasonal FVC metrics have robust predictive utility for SOC stock and soil biological indicators.

5The Effects of Intellectual Capital and Environmental Dynamism on Operational Performance: the Mediating Roles of Product Innovation and Supply Chain Collaboration
Zainal Abidin,Zeplin Jiwa Husada Tarigan, Triana Fitriastuti

The blue economy is important to Indonesia, which derives state revenues from the maritime sector, given its large marine area. The vast marine potential can contribute if managed well. Fish processing companies need to improve their operational performance to be competitive. The study collected data from 90 practitioners from fish processing companies in Indonesia who are members of the Association of Tuna Longline Indonesia. The research data were processed using the SEM-PLS version 4 approach to test the relationships specified in the research hypotheses. The data analysis found that the operational performance of fish processing companies in Indonesia is determined by product innovation and supply chain collaboration. The company's ability to collaborate with partners significantly impacts product innovation. Improvement efforts determined by intellectual capital influence product innovation, especially supply chain collaboration. At the same time, environmental dynamism does not affect product innovation but does significantly affect supply chain collaboration. The practical contribution of this research is that managers can actively involve external partners to solve problems and support product development. Managers need to build real collaboration with external partners in joint planning and optimal order coordination to improve operational performance. The need to strengthen intellectual capital by providing adequate training and standard skills. The theoretical contribution to the development of supply chain uncertainty in optimizing the blue economy.
