Relevance . The use of feed additives in the diet of young sheep allows for better absorption of the components of the feed consumed. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of the feed additive “Levibio” on the growth, development and clinical parameters of young sheep. Methods . Generally accepted research methods. Generally accepted research methods (determination of body weight, external measurements and indices, clinical condition, clinical and biochemical blood parameters of young sheep). The “Levibio” feed additive contains live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which stimulates the growth of beneficial microflora in the rumen of ruminants. Results . The greatest positive effect of the feed additive “Levibio” on the implementation of meat productivity in young Romanov sheep is observed at the end of the 3rd month from the beginning of its use. The average live weight of the sheep in the experimental group was 32.44±1.37 kg, which is 5.19% higher than that of the sheep in the control group. Linear measurements of the experimental group animals showed that they were larger in chest girth by 2.2%, height at the withers by 4.5%, height at the sacrum by 2.9%, than their counterparts in the control group. Body constitution indices showed compactness and proportionality of the constitution of animals in the experimental group. Hematological studies conducted during the experiment did not reveal any deviations from the physiological norm. Thus, according to our research, the use of the “Levibio” supplement in feeding young sheep allows for better realization of the genetic potential, expressed in more uniform growth and development, live weight gain, health maintenance, and adaptation to the unstable monsoon climate of Primorsky region.
The article analyzes the current state of forest reproduction in the territory of the state forest fund of Primorsky Krai. The analysis is based on state statistical reporting data, forest management materials, as well as scientific publications devoted to the problems of forest restoration in the region. The dynamics of forest restoration measures, their effectiveness and key factors influencing the success of forest resource renewal processes are considered. The results of the study show that, despite the measures taken, there are problems associated with insufficient artificial reforestation and low preservation of forest crops. The paper offers recommendations for improving the forest restoration system in Primorsky Krai, including optimization of planting methods, strengthening control over natural regeneration, and the introduction of adaptive forest management strategies.
The aim of the study is to provide a veterinary and sanitary assessment of the quality of lamb obtained by including the Levibio feed additive in the diet of young sheep. The study material is lamb samples from the carcasses of animals obtained from young Romanov sheep of the control and experimental groups at the age of 9 months. An exploratory experiment was conducted in the conditions of the collection yard of the Primorsky State Agrarian and Technological University in 2024. Research methods: assessment of the slaughter qualities of young sheep, veterinary and sanitary examination of lamb (organoleptic, physicochemical, bacterioscopic studies), study of the chemical composition of lamb samples. Slaughter weight of young sheep at the age of 9 months. in the control group was (12.6 ± 0.43) kg, and in the experimental group, where the animals received the feed additive Levibio, – (13.2 ± 0.15) kg, which is 4.8 % higher, while the slaughter yield was (43.2 ± 0.78) and (43.1 ± 0.66) %, respectively. Veterinary and sanitary examination (organoleptic, physicochemical and bacterioscopic studies) of lamb obtained from animals of both the control and experimental groups, whose diet included the feed additive Levibio, showed full compliance with the requirements for high-quality products obtained from healthy animals. The chemical composition of lamb obtained from young sheep of the control and experimental groups of animals does not differ significantly. Low fat content and increased moisture and protein content in the meat of experimental animals compared to the average statistical data indicate that it is more dietary. Thus, the inclusion of the feed additive Levibio in the diet of young Romanov sheep partially improves the nutritional and dietary properties of lamb.
Hazardous weather events, which are increasing in frequency with global climate change, pose a threat to forest ecosystems over large areas. Heavy and destructive icy rain occurred in the south of Primorye on November 19, 2020. As a result of the breaking of branches and trunks on the territory of Russky Island, which is part of the Vladivostok urban district, 9.4 ± 1.7 m3/ha of dead fallen wood, which amounted to 4.8% of the total stock of stem wood, was produced. More than a third of all trees lost 50% of their crown. Specific losses of crown phytomass, calculated using regional allometric equations, are estimated at 12.2 ± 2.1 t/ha. The species that were most vulnerable to ice rain (Tilia amurensis and Betula dahurica) were represented by the largest trees, with a wide crown and a large proportion of branches in the total biomass. Lower canopy species (Carpinus cordata and Acer mono) were less affected. The share of the fallen stock of the forest stand (in relation to the total stock) was positively related to the height above sea level (R2 = 0.54, p = 0.039), and the average diameter of the stand was significantly correlated with the phytomass of the fallen part of the crowns (R2 = 0.51, p = 0.047). NDVI vegetation index values obtained from MODIS images for the 2020 and 2021 seasons (before and after the disturbance, respectively) differed significantly.
