The aim of this study is to develop and pilot a methodology for the classroom use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) by an English teacher for the synchronous generation of educational materials designed to enhance speaking skills (discussion prompts, translation tasks, monologue talking points, and group discussion scenarios) in large groups of economics students (comprising 30-35 people) at non-linguistic universities. The article substantiates the relevance of using generative artificial intelligence under conditions of large class sizes and classroom time constraints; analyzes theoretical approaches to integrating artificial intelligence into foreign language teaching; proposes a proprietary methodology for the synchronous generation of four types of oral practice tasks using prompts; describes the course and results of experimental instruction, which established quantitative performance indicators; and provides practical recommendations for implementing the proposed approach. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the substantiation of a new type of pedagogical activity – the synchronous, real-time generation of educational materials in the classroom; the development and piloting of a methodology for using generative AI as an operational tool for managing speaking practice in large groups; the quantitative verification of efficiency criteria for this methodology; and the identification of the limits of the proposed approach’s applicability, which are associated with the mandatory presence of a teacher for substantive verification and correction of the generated content. As a result, the study confirmed the hypothesis that the teacher’s use of GenAI for the synchronous creation of learning materials in a large student group significantly optimizes the lesson, as evaluated against five criteria: instructional time density, student speaking practice coverage, the intensity of speech practice, student engagement, and the number of completed tasks.
Until the 1960s, in Kuibyshev (Samara), primary art education was only possible in fine art circles (F.E. Burov, P.A. Krasnov, A.E. Pletnev). After the opening of the Children's Art School in the city, art studios remained a space for free creativity and informal communication. V.P. Denisov (1935–2021) began his teaching career in 1975 (Kuibyshev), having formed as an artist in Kaliningrad, Kaluga, and at the creative dacha of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR in Goryachiy Klyuch. Deprived of the opportunity to participate in Kuibyshev regional exhibitions, V.P. Denisov switched to teaching in the art studio of the 4th State Bearing Plant (SBP) Community Center and at Children's Art School No. 1, from 1980 to 1989. – only in the art studio. Already at the initial stage, a close-knit creative team formed in the adult art studio, many of whose members subsequently dedicated their lives to art. This study brings the phenomenon of the art studio at the 4th SBP Community Center to the general public. An attempt is made to measure this phenomenon in time and space. The analysis draws on materials from periodicals and memoirs. Illustrative material includes photographs, sketches, landscapes, and portraits by V.P. Denisov and studio members. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the art studio at 4th SBP Community Center, as a cultural phenomenon in Samara, has three dimensions: formally temporary (1976–1989), personal (the core of the team), and supra-institutional, which has retained its essence in different forms of teaching and periods.
The objective of the study is to identify and assess the significance of differences in certain aspects of the socio-economic situation in the KSiPM districts from other regions of Russia based on a comparative analysis using appropriate statistical methods. Official publications of Rosstat were used as sources of statistical information. The volume of the studied population was 85 units, of which 24 units were classified as regions of the Far North and equivalent localities; 61 units were classified as other territories of the country. The data for the latest available period, 2022, were studied. The comparison of the indicators of the socio-economic situation in the KSiPM districts with the rest of the territory of the Russian Federation, on the one hand, led to significant results, and on the other hand, revealed a number of methodological problems in the implementation of the comparative analysis itself. It became obvious that the success of such an undertaking critically depends on the quality of the formed system of statistical indicators, the choice of indicators for which is very, very limited by the nomenclature of published data. In addition, due to the strict limit of indicators common to both populations, it becomes necessary to obtain them by calculation, which may violate the methodological logic initially embedded in them. Finally, the high degree of heterogeneity of living conditions of the population (for example, natural and climatic) within the compared territorial populations (for example, both the Arctic and the south of Eastern Siberia are considered northern regions) sometimes does not allow any statistical assessments to be carried out directly and correctly. The results obtained clearly confirm the existence of differences in the socio-economic status of the compared territories. However, the level of these differences is very small compared to intra-group fluctuations. This fact is undoubtedly of scientific interest and provides grounds for further research.
The study is devoted to the analysis of the mechanisms of realization of the symbolic meanings of the lexeme hand in Russian phraseological units. The aim of the study is to identify the set of data of phraseological means and their systematization; determination of the meanings, images and models that form their basis, description of their systemic organization. The material for the study was 164 phraseological units with the lexeme hand, as well as with such names of parts of the hand as shoulder, elbow, fist, finger, little finger, nail, obtained as a result of a continuous sample from modern phraseological dictionaries of the Russian language. In the course of the study, elements of component, cognitive and quantitative methods, as well as semantic and semiotic analysis were used. The considered phraseological units were classified on the basis of the symbolic meanings of the component hand realized in them into seven main semantic groups: activity, work; power, control; physical impact, aggression; agreement, trust, friendliness; help, support, emotional state; measurement of a parameter, quality. As a result of the analysis, it turned out that the studied layer of Russian phraseology has a complex systemic organization: within each group of the considered linguistic means, a ramified system of semantic oppositions was discovered and described, as well as additional components of meanings. The main mechanism for implementing the symbolic meanings of the hand in the studied phraseological units is metonymy, or more precisely, synecdoche – likening a part (hand) to the whole (person), as well as metaphor, personification, comparison of the somatic (corporeal) and other cultural codes: anthropic, spatial
Relevance. Monitoring of the dental health of the pediatric population in Chapayevsk from 1995 to 2022 revealed a trend of increasing prevalence and severity of dental caries after the cessation of preventive dental programs in 2005. Objective. To substantiate the need for optimizing dental care for children in Chapayevsk based on a SWOT analysis. Materials and methods. The analysis of the pediatric dental service utilized data from dental health monitoring conducted between 1995 and 2022. A SWOT analysis was used to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of dental care for the pediatric population, identify opportunities for improvement, and determine internal and external threats. Results. The SWOT analysis demonstrated the need to improve dental health among the pediatric population by introducing health-saving technologies to promote healthy lifestyle habits in organized children’s groups with the involvement of parents and primary healthcare staff, even under conditions of limited healthcare funding.
