The South Ossetian State University, also known as Alexander Tibilov State University (in Ossetian: Хуссар Ирыстоны паддзахадон университет, in Georgian: სამხრეთ ოსეთის პედაგოგიური ინსტიტუტი; Russian: Юго-Осетинский государственный университет) is a private university located in the city of Tskhinvali, the capital of the breakaway region of South Ossetia, in Georgia. The university was heavily damaged in the 2008 Russo-Georgian War, but has since been rebuilt.
This article explores the practices of international countries in developing STEM education. Undoubtedly, the topic of our research is quite relevant in the era of the development of the modern world and economic system, especially in the era of economic digitalization, the advancement of digital and information technologies, and robotics, which, in turn, have significantly changed the labor market and led to the emergence of many new professions. Accordingly, today we face new challenges every day, requiring a different approach to training highly qualified personnel to fill the gaps in the latest, relevant professions that require knowledge and skills in the field of information technology. Indeed, as we see, in the 21st century, professions such as programmers, IT specialists, big data engineers, and others are in high demand. Accordingly, there is a need to update and adjust the current education system in many countries. Therefore, a thorough study of the experiences of various countries that have successfully implemented STEM education policies is essential. Thus, the fundamental essence of the STEM education system lies in the development of critical thinking, creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and vision for finding solutions to problems. Furthermore, in writing this research paper, we examined the theoretical essence of STEM education, identifying its role and significance in the activities of any economic entity. Specifically, we focused on the experience of the United States, which has successfully implemented this education system since the beginning of the 21 st century.
In the modern world, where adaptation is of exceptional importance against the background of an innovation-oriented production and management environment, and information is a key aspect and driver of competitiveness, the concept of the “knowledge economy” has a tremendous impact on business models. The focus of management is shifting from tangible to intangible assets, and the replication of experience and the accumulation of intellectual capital are new functions of the business activities of enterprises. The article examines the impact of the “knowledge economy” on traditional business processes, in terms of the active use of intangible flows and strengthening positions in the information technology market. Increased knowledge intensity, with the right management mechanisms and government support, contributes to an increase in production and diversification of activities. The authors present the structural elements of the concept, in addition to which the possible risks of introducing technological solutions into business activities are identified. The processes of regulation and stimulation of innovation processes have been studied in order to minimize and eliminate negative consequences.
В статье рассматривается поэма анонимного автора XIV в., посвященная осетинскому царю Алгузу. На основе текстологического анализа в поэме обнаружены лакуны, появившиеся по вине «редактора» в XIX в. Сопоставительный анализ позволил датировать события, описанные в основной части поэмы, концом XIII — началом XIV вв. Главный герой поэмы возглавил борьбу осетинского народа против татаро-монгольских завоевателей. Затрагиваются также некоторые другие вопросы средневековой истории Осетии The article discusses the poem of the anonymous author of the XIV century, dedicated to the Ossetian king Alguz. Based on textual analysis, gaps that appeared through activity of the “editor” in the XIX century were found in the poem. A comparative analysis made it possible to date the events described in the main part of the poem, by the end of the XIII — beginning of the XIV centuries. The protagonist of the poem led the struggle of the Ossetian people against the Tatar-Mongol conquerors. Some other issues of the medieval history of Ossetia are also discussed
