Background:Research interest in intellectual engagement is increasing. The objective of this study was to examine the influence of cynicism on intellectual engagement through the mediation of supportive climate and the moderation of self-efficacy. Methods:The sample consisted of 336 Colombian workers who completed the MBI, the FOCUS-93, the ISA Engagement Scale, and the IPSICAP-24. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and regression analysis with PROCESS Model 7. Results:The indirect effect of cynicism on intellectual engagement through supportive climate was statistically significant. Theps moderated mediation index was significant (index = -0.020, 95% CI [-0.047, -0.002]), confirming that the intensity of the indirect effect of cynicism on intellectual engagement through supportive climate depends on the levels of self-efficacy. Conclusion:As self-efficacy increases, the effect of cynicism on intellectual engagement through perceived supportive climate becomes more negative. This finding offers a critical perspective on psychological resources, exploratorily framed within what has been referred to as "the resources paradox". The implications of these findings are discussed within the framework of organizational psychology.
The Lean Startup methodology has emerged as an agile strategy for developing new ventures, especially in digital and highly uncertain environments. This article presents a systematic literature review guided initially by a scientometric analysis and then by the Tree of Science approach, classifying seminal works (roots), established studies (trunk), and emerging research (leaves). Based on a search of the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases, 238 publications from 2014 to 2024 were analyzed. The findings reflect a growing trend in total scientific production of 11.14%. The United States, Italy, and the United Kingdom stand out as the primary research centers, demonstrating a crucial role in international collaboration and knowledge consolidation. The analysis of total scientific output reveals two distinct stages: an initial growth phase (2014-2017), characterized by a 41.16% increase, and a stabilization phase (2018-2024), initially driven by digitalization and the COVID-19 pandemic, with a 2.79% growth. This study contributes to defining the state of the art in Lean Startup, highlighting the most influential theoretical and empirical contributions and guiding future lines of research in innovation, entrepreneurship, and agile methodologies
Physical Activity (PA) is recognized for its benefits on physical and mental health. In contrast, sedentary behavior is a risk factor for non-communicable chronic diseases and represents a public health problem with direct effects on Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL). The growing body of research in this field among university students is dispersed and methodologically heterogeneous, highlighting the need for an updated synthesis. This analytical-documentary narrative review examined the relationship between PA and HRQoL in university students based on scientific publications from 2012 to 2022 in Scopus, SportDiscus, Web of Science, and PubMed. The bibliographic search was based on the PICO strategy. Quantitative studies (including descriptive and cross-sectional designs) were included. A total of 459 articles were identified, of which 8 met the inclusion and quality criteria for in-depth analysis. Findings show that students generally do not meet recommended levels of PA. A large portion of their time is spent in sedentary behaviors, which are associated with lower physical, psychological, and social well-being. PA was linked to improvements in mental and physical health, as well as life satisfaction. Conversely, sedentary behavior was associated with higher risk of depression and anxiety. Differences were noted according to sex, PA intensity, and sociocultural factors. The findings suggest the need to implement PA promotion strategies in university contexts, considering social factors to improve HRQoL.
This article aims to analyze the formative tactics and conceptual categories of storytelling as an educational tool to improve marketing processes in rural communities and ethnic minorities in Colombia. The methodology consisted of a systematic bibliographic review of a descriptive-qualitative nature, based on academic documents published since 2019, located in university repositories and databases such as Google Scholar and Scopus. The results were organized according to the literature into two categories: "Marketing Education" and "Storytelling", with their respective subtopics, based on the central question: How does marketing education through storytelling impact peasant and minority groups in Colombia? The study identified that storytelling, in its digital, interactive formats and through social media, emerges as a potential strategy to empower rural and ethnic communities in Colombia. It adds value to their products and helps connect with broader markets without losing the distinctive narrative of each group. It was concluded that although there is growing interest in the topic, gaps remain in the literature regarding the concrete application and impact measurement of these tactics in rural and ethnic contexts in Colombia, highlighting a valuable area for future research.
