Hypertension is a noncommunicable disease associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and kidney disease. Primary healthcare data can provide an overview of regional hypertension cases and serve as a basis for health intervention planning. This study aims to describe hypertension cases based on secondary data from the Banda Aceh City Health Office for January–March 2025 and describe smoking as a risk factor for hypertension based on a literature review. The study employed a descriptive approach using secondary data on disease cases at Primary Healthcare Facilities (FKTP) in Banda Aceh City and a literature review on hypertension and smoking behavior. Secondary data were analyzed descriptively based on monthly case distributions, while the literature was analyzed narratively. The results showed that hypertension had the highest number of cases among diseases reported at FKTP in Banda Aceh City during January–March 2025, totaling 4,118 cases, comprising 1,425 cases in January, 1,484 in February, and 1,209 in March. The literature review indicated that smoking is a modifiable risk factor associated with increased risks of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Nicotine may increase sympathetic nervous activity, heart rate, and vasoconstriction, thereby affecting blood pressure. In conclusion, hypertension control should integrate smoking control into promotive and preventive strategies. This study did not statistically examine the relationship between smoking and hypertension because the secondary data lacked individual information on smoking status and blood pressure.
Frequent physical interaction in schools, when not accompanied by adequate personal hygiene, may increase the risk of dermatological infections, including scabies, among students. This activity aimed to improve the understanding and preventive attitudes of students at SMPN 2 Montasik regarding scabies transmission through education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). A total of 60 seventh- and eighth-grade students participated in this educational activity. The methods included interactive discussions, visual media, direct demonstrations of handwashing techniques, and knowledge evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 58.40 on the pre-test to 81.20 on the post-test. Inferential statistical testing produced a significance value demonstrating that the difference between the pre-test and post-test scores was statistically significant. PHBS education combined with direct practice was effective in improving students’ knowledge of scabies prevention. The activity also encouraged preventive attitudes and better personal hygiene practices within the school environment. Therefore, practice-based health education can serve as a promotive and preventive strategy to reduce scabies transmission and strengthen students’ awareness of maintaining personal hygiene in everyday life.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and the ecological footprint are among the major causes of environmental degradation and climate change, a real challenge to sustainable development. This paper examines how agricultural and economic variables influence environmental quality in Indonesia in the short and long run from 1991 to 2022. The analysis is based on an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach, using annual time series data to explore dynamic interconnections among environmental indicators, agricultural land, agricultural value-added, renewable energy consumption, and gross domestic product (GDP). Evidence was found that expanding agricultural land contributes to rising CO2 emissions and ecological footprints in the long run. In contrast, renewable energy and GDP had negative long run effects on both CO2 emissions and the ecological footprint. Agricultural value-added did not show a significant long-run effect on CO2 emissions but exhibited a significant positive effect on the ecological footprint. However, agricultural land and value-added contribute to CO2 emissions and ecological footprint reductions in the short run. Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS) is employed to confirm the reliability of the long-run findings, enhancing the consistency of the results. Granger results showed unidirectional predictive relationships from agricultural land, GDP per capita, and renewable energy consumption to both environmental indicators, while the environmental indicators predicted agricultural value-added. Overall, the findings provide empirical evidence of agricultural development, renewable energy utilization, and economic growth impacts on Indonesia's environmental sustainability.
In an increasingly digital era, technological advancements have transformed the way people shop and interact with e-commerce platforms. E-commerce offers a wide range of products and services online, but consumers often feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices. The importance of efficient and relevant services for consumers is a significant consideration in developing e-commerce systems. One effective solution is implementing a recommendation system that helps consumers find products that match their needs and preferences. This study develops an e-commerce recommendation system using neural collaborative filtering and content-based filtering methods, integrated with an interactive dashboard to improve user experience. With a learning rate of 0.01 and a batch size of 32, the developed neural collaborative filtering model shows a low testing error of 0.0705 and precision, recall, and F-measure of 0.9583, 0.8251, and 0.8867, respectively. The content-based filtering method uses the Cosine Similarity technique, achieving an Average Precision of 0.804 and an accuracy of 80%. The interactive dashboard was successfully developed to support system evaluation and user engagement. This study provides benefits for consumers who can find products according to their needs more quickly and for e-commerce business owners who can reach consumers more efficiently.
