Purpose The increasingly competitive landscape for multinational enterprises (MNEs) necessitates adaptation beyond traditional international marketing approaches. Advanced digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), may need to be integrated to sustain competitiveness and seize emerging opportunities. AI offers several potential benefits, including enhanced customer engagement, improved decision-making capabilities and operational efficiency; however, significant constraints often limit organisations from realising their full potential. To address these challenges, this review introduces the AI Readiness Acceleration Framework, developed from a systematic literature review, examining the role of AI antecedents in enhancing international marketing capabilities in MNEs. Design/methodology/approach A systematic literature review was conducted, encompassing existing literature with a sample of 110 articles published between 2012 and 2025. The method was chosen to integrate research systematically, transparently and reproducibly, ensuring an evidence-based examination of the literature. The inductive approach for concept development was applied to develop a grounded theory and to design an integrated framework. Findings This framework consists of components such as external AI antecedents (AI regulatory environment readiness, AI customer readiness), internal antecedents (AI organisational blueprint, AI infrastructure readiness and AI workforce readiness) and output (international marketing performance). Originality/value The systematic literature review identified AI antecedents that have an impact on MNE performance in international marketing, resulting in a novel guiding framework. This framework aims to guide MNE executives and international marketing practitioners in achieving AI readiness and integration to improve international marketing performance. In addition, this study outlines future research opportunities for international marketing in MNEs structured around the proposed framework.
Purpose This study aims to explore how entrepreneurial ventures can effectively approach digital transformation. By developing a comprehensive framework, it extends the dynamic capabilities perspective and offers valuable insights for both scholars and practitioners seeking to navigate the complexities of digital transformation and harness its potential for competitiveness and growth. Design/methodology/approach A systematic literature review of 85 peer-reviewed articles on digital transformation in entrepreneurial ventures was conducted. Using the Gioia methodology, we identified and synthesized emerging themes into ten aggregate dimensions. These were then integrated into a theoretically grounded framework aligned with the dynamic capabilities view. Findings The study presents an entrepreneurial perspective on digital transformation, identifying ten key dimensions: (1) organizational resource reconfiguration, (2) interoperability of reconfigured assets, (3) market-informed resource reconfiguration, (4) customer-aligned resource reconfiguration, (5) leadership capability reconfiguration, (6) joint resource reconfiguration, (7) regulatory scanning and compliance reconfiguration, (8) portfolio reconfiguration under liquidity constraints, (9) IT reconfiguration and data governance and (10) human capital reconfiguration. These dimensions illustrate the multifaceted nature of digital transformation and underscore the centrality of dynamic capabilities in enabling ventures to continuously adapt, integrate and reconfigure resources to sustain competitive advantage in digitally evolving environments. Research limitations/implications The study is limited to peer-reviewed literature, which may exclude relevant insights from grey literature or practitioner sources. Future research should empirically examine the relationships between the identified dimensions and performance outcomes. Practical implications Digital transformation is essential for the survival and growth of entrepreneurial ventures. Aligning new technologies with existing practices, while overcoming constraints such as limited resources and resistance to change, requires adaptive leadership and a strong learning culture to sustain a competitive edge. Originality/value This study introduces a novel framework for digital transformation in entrepreneurial ventures, emphasizing reconfiguration-oriented dynamic capabilities. Using the Gioia methodology, it extends the dynamic capabilities perspective by highlighting reconfiguration as a core mechanism for adapting to digital challenges. The framework addresses a key gap in the literature and offers a targeted approach to how entrepreneurial firms realign resources and capabilities to remain competitive in rapidly evolving environments.
The proposed study analyzes the transformation of the Ukrainian wheat market under the influence of hybrid and full-scale war during the period 2019–2024. Comparative analysis and market concentration indicators (Herfindahl-Hirschman, Linda, and Gini indices) allowed us to estimate the export volumes of wheat to global markets and, therefore, the impact of the war in Ukraine on global food security. The study's findings indicate that, despite the low market concentration, changes in the volumes and traditional logistical routes of Ukrainian grain exports have increased threats to global food security.
This study examines the impact of emotional intelligence (EI) in the domain of leadership effectiveness and organizational performance, and how EI makes a difference in choices that are made within the framework of communication and engagement of employees. Using quantitative research, structured questionnaires were used to collect primary data from 217 leaders from different organizations. Random sampling was used to ensure the sample is truly representative. Data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS with correlation, regression, ANOVA, t-test, and Structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicate that emotional intelligence significantly enhances leadership effectiveness by improving communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Employee engagement was found to mediate the relationship between EI and Job satisfaction, where Job satisfaction functions as a key outcome variable but also contributes to engagement in the pathway. Organizational Culture was modeled as a contextual moderator, influencing the strength of the EI Performance relationship rather than serving as a direct dependent construct. The findings underscore the importance of incorporating emotional intelligence training in leadership development programs. Organizations that invest in building EI competencies among leaders are more likely to foster a positive work culture, improve employee motivation, and enhance overall productivity. This study provides empirical evidence on the strategic role of emotional intelligence in leadership and performance, offering practical insights for organizational development and sustainable workplace growth.
Objectives The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of migration related to the conflict in Ukraine on the management of social policy in Poland and to assess to what extent the Polish social policy system has met the challenges resulting from mass migration. Material and methods The article uses theoretical research methods, in particular analytical-descriptive, comparative and systemic approaches. The analytical-descriptive method helps to identify key concepts and categorize the challenges that migration poses to social policy. Literature, quantitative data from reports and statistics were analyzed. Data were collected to assess changes in Polish social policy resulting from the influx of migrants from Ukraine. Results The results indicate significant changes in the social policy landscape in Poland. The migration wave has forced a rapid reallocation of resources and an adjustment of social policies to adapt to the needs of Ukrainian migrants. Key changes include increased spending on housing assistance, expanded access to health care, and specialized educational support. Conclusions The influx of migrants from Ukraine related to the conflict has significantly affected the management of social policy in Poland, highlighting both adaptability and tensions in the system. While Polish's response has shown resilience and adaptability to address the most pressing needs, the long-term sustainability of such actions is challenging. This case highlights the wider impact of migration on social policies in host countries.
