
The active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)generally have poor solubility,low content,and cumbersome extraction and separation methods,which are not conducive to detection and analysis and poor medicinal properties,limiting their clinical application.New nanomaterials such as Graphene oxide(GO)have been gradually used in the extraction,separation and purification of active components of TCM and anti-tumor therapy due to their unique physicochemical properties,which are expected to improve the clinical application limitations of TCM and promote the clinical development of TCM.Based on the structural properties of GO,this paper summarizes the application of GO in the effective components of TCM,including promoting the dissolution of the effective components of TCM and improving the separation and purification efficiency,improving bioavailability,enhancing drug potency,improving tumor targeting,sustained release,and enhancing curative effect.The existing problems and future development of GO are discussed.The purpose of this study is to provide reference for the development of GO and its derivatives in the field of TCM and the clinical application of active components of TCM.

Drug safety has always been a hot topic in the world.The basis of evaluating drug safety lies in the standardization of terms of adverse drug reactions,which can provide a basis for drug regulators to evaluate drug safety.By means of literature search and web search,this paper summarized and introduced the summary,hierarchical structure and application characteristics of the existing international glossary of adverse reaction terms MedDRA,WHO-ART,CTCAE and OMERACT.At the same time,it also analyzes the practical problems encountered in the use of the existing adverse reaction term set.Based on the characteristics of safety evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),this paper discussed the establishment of a glossary of adverse reactions of TCM.
[Objective]To explore the correlation between serum calcium level and disease activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and its distribution in different traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes.[Methods]A total of 160 outpatients and inpatients with RA in our hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were enrolled as the study group,and 160 healthy people who underwent routine physical examination in the physical examination center of our hospital were selected as the healthy control group(HC group),and the differences in serum calcium levels between the two groups were compared.According to TCM syndrome differentiation,the study group was divided into four groups:phlegm and stasis syndrome group,cold-dampness obstruction syndrome group,damp-heat obstruction syndrome group,liver and kidney deficiency syndrome group.We compared the distribution of each serum calcium level among different groups of RA patients.Spearman correlation analysis was used to study the relationship between serum calcium level and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),rheumatoid factor(RF),anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide(CCP)antibody level,antistreptolysin O(ASO)and the course of disease in RA patients.And pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between serum calcium level and Disease Activity Score 28(DAS28).[Results]The serum calcium level in RA group was lower than that in HC group(P<0.01).Among the four groups,the serum calcium level in the phlegm-stasis syndrome group and the cold-dampness obstruction syndrome group were significantly higher than that in the damp-heat obstruction syndrome group and the liver and kidney deficiency syndrome group(P<0.01).The serum calcium level was negatively correlated with DAS28(rs=-0.398,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with ESR(rs=-0.289,P<0.01).It was negatively correlated with hs-CRP(rs=-0.351,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with the course of disease(rs=-0.423,P<0.01),but had no significant correlation with RF,anti-CCP antibody and ASO.[Conclusion]Serum calcium level in RA patients is significantly lower than that in healthy people,which was negatively correlated with disease activity and disease course.The distribution of serum calcium level in TCM syndrome types of RA is regular,which provides objective reference value for TCM syndrome differentiation.
Vascular Parkinson's syndrome is a secondary Parkinson syndrome caused by cerebrovascular diseases.With the aging of the population,the incidence rate of this disease is increasing with the increase of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.However,there is no effective treatment method yet,and acupuncture therapy has obvious advantages and characteristics.This paper introduces a case of Treating Vascular Parkinson's syndrome with Taiji Liuhe acupuncture method.Taiji Liuhe acupuncture method adopts"four step regulation"acupuncture method to form the meridian regulation system of Taiji and Eight Trigrams.It has less acupoints and less pain stimulation.It can regulate qi and blood meridians of the whole body,balance viscera and yin and yang,and drive away diseases.
Lenvatinib is a first-line target drug for inoperable liver cancer and can significantly prolong survival.However,diarrhea,as one of the common adverse effects of Lenvatinib,reduces the quality of life of patients,and severe diarrhea may choose to stop the drug temporarily or permanently.For drug-related diarrhea,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)clinical evidence focuses on enabling patients to tolerate adverse reactions,reduce the frequency of diarrhea,and then ensure targeted drug treatment and improve the quality of life of patients.The course of the disease is generally long,and the symptoms are often manifested as loose or even watery stools,hypothermia,and emotional failure.Based on the dialectical theory,the thesis discusses the treatment of diarrhea by the classic prescription of Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases,which fits the disease mechanism from the multi-dimensional mechanism of yang and yin,reconciles cold and heat,and thins the liver and strengthen the spleen,and obtains many miraculous effects.
On July 29,2021,Academician WU Yiling was interviewed by the research team of the key consulting project of Chinese Academy of Engineering,"Construction of talent discipline system for disease prevention and control of integrated Chinese and Western medicine".The core content of this interview is the prevention of disease in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and the establishment of disease prevention and control system of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Academician Wu said that the establishment of prevention and control system based on TCM and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine plays a vital role in promoting the construction of healthy China and improving the health of the people.The key is to find the intersection of disciplines,namely the integration of Chinese and Western medicine.
[Objective]To establish a rapid method to identify the adulterants of Cirsium japonicum:Carduus nutans and Cirsium leo by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).[Methods]By comparing the ITS gene sequences,the restriction endonucleases of Carduus nutans and Cirsium leo were screened and the primers were designed.The annealing temperature,cycle number and applicability of different enzymes of PCR reaction were investigated,and the digestion time and substrate amount were optimized.At the same time,the adaptability,specificity and stability of the method were investigated.[Results]When the annealing temperature is 58-60℃and the number of cycles is 30,a 379 bp DNA band can be amplified from the sample.Substrate is 8 μL.When the digestion temperature was 37℃and the digestion reaction was 120 min,ZraI enzyme cut two DNA bands of 120 bp and 259 bp from Carduus nutans;DNA substrate is 8 μL.When the digestion temperature was 37℃and the digestion reaction was 60 min,ApaLI enzyme cut two DNA bands of 126 bp and 253 bp from Cirsium leo.[Conclusion]The PCR-RFLP method established in this study can accurately identify the adulterants of Cirsium japonicum:Carduus nutans and Cirsium leo,avoid the mixing of these herbs,and ensure the safety of clinical medication.
[Objective]Combined with network pharmacology and metabolomics,the mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of ischemic stroke was analyzed.[Methods]We use the Swiss Target Prediction database and Gene Cards database to search for the target of action;Construct a drug component target network using Cytoscape 3.9.1 software;STRING database obtains PPI network;Finally,the David platform was used for KEGG signaling pathway enrichment analysis.Ultra high-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF/MS)was used to analyze the metabolic profile changes of rats in each group,and relevant metabolic pathways were queried using the Metabo Analyst database.[Results]A total of 49 serum based metabolic biomarkers were selected from the sham surgery group and model group(P<0.05),with the main metabolic pathways being phospholipid metabolism,linoleic acid metabolism α-Linolenic acid metabolism,ether lipid metabolism,lysine degradation,arachidonic acid metabolism,which mainly contain metabolites such as phosphatidylcholine,Lys phosphatidylcholine,fatty acids,and phosphatidylethanolamine.[Conclusion]Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy may improve cerebral vascular microcirculation,promote angiogenesis,reduce lipid deposition,slow down inflammatory reaction,and improve body immunity through multiple targets and pathways.Combined with literature data,it is believed that acupuncture and moxibustion treatment has the characteristics of multiple components,multiple goals,and multiple paths,and has a certain effect on ischemic stroke.
[Objective]The study aimed to explore the potential active compounds and mechanism of Qinggandong decoction(QGDD)for its prevention and treatment of novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)via network pharmacology and molecular docking,and provide evidence for clinical applications of QGDD.[Methods]These compounds were identified by LC-MS/MS from QGDD in previous study,and the disease targets were collected by databases of GeneCards and DrugBank.The networks of herb-preparation-ingredient-target,protein-protein interaction(PPI),and herb-meridian tropism were constructed by Origin,STRING and Cytoscape.GO and KEGG enrichment analysis were carried out by DAVID.The potential active compounds were docked with the key targets by BIOVIA Discovery Studio 2020.[Results]Nine of the 11 herbs in QGDD belonged to the lung meridian,and there were 66 common targets for the 45 potential active compound targets and COVID-19 targets.GO functional enrichment analysis obtained 324 biological process items,24 cellular component items and 45 molecular functional items.KEGG enrichment analysis obtained 123 pathways,which were related to immune regulation,viral infection and inflammatory damage repair.The docking results showed that multiple compounds had potential interactions above medium intensity with the main targets,including TNF-α,AKT1,VEGFA and ACE2,suggesting that the formula may prevent and treat COVID-19 through multicomponent combination.Kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside and rutin,as the major compounds of the flavonoid group,shows the highest docking intensity with the targets.[Conclusion]This study preliminarily reveals the potential active compounds and therapeutic mechanism of QGDD for prevention and treatment of COVID-19.The active compounds from QGDD,such as kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside and rutin,may act on the targets as TNF-α,AKT1,VEGFA and ACE2,which play an anti-inflammatory and antiviral role by participating in lipid and atherosclerosis,chagas disease,Toll-like receptor signaling pathway,IL-17 signaling pathway,and so on.Our study will provide the scientific evidence for the further study on COVID-19 of QGDD.
[Objective]To explore the mechanism of Xiaoyan Decoction in the treatment of gastric cancer by network pharmacology.[Methods]TCMSP、TCMID and BATMAN-TCM database was used to screen the active ingredients and targets of Xiaoyan Decoction,and UniProt was used to obtain the corresponding gene names of protein targets;the gastric cancer disease targets were mined through DrugBank,GeneCardsand OMIM database,and the intersection genes with Xiaoyan Decoction target genes were screened;the drug compound intersection target network was drawn by using Cytoscape 3.7.2 software;the String number was used to calculate the sequence the PPI network was constructed according to the analysis platform,and the MCODE plug-in was used for cluster module analysis of PPI network;the Metascape database was used for KEGG enrichment analysis and GO enrichment analysis;the Kaplan-Meier Plotter database was used to explore the impact of key gene targets on OS of gastric cancer patients,and the survival curve was drawn.[Results]41 active components,266 target genes,1 163 gastric cancer target genes and 116 cross genes were obtained,and 35 compounds were obtained after eliminating the active components without cross genes.TP53,JUN,AKT1,MAPK3,RELA,MAPK1,ESR1,MAPK14 and IL-6 are the key targets of Xiaoyan Decoction in the treatment of gastric cancer.The results of GO enrichment analysis showed that it was related to the signal pathway of apoptosis,response to inorganic substances,response to oxidative stress and response to chemical stress.The results of KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that it was mainly related to proteoglycan,PI3K-Akt signal pathway,IL-17 signal pathway,TNF signal pathway and platinum resistance in cancer.Survival analysis showed that the overall survival of patients with high expression of TP53,AKT1,MAPK3,RELA and ESR1 was significantly lower than that of low expression group,while the overall survival of patients with high expression of JUN,MAPK1 and MAPK14 was significantly higher than that of low expression group.[Conclusion]The research methods based on network pharmacology can help to find the key targets and signal pathways of Xiaoyan Decoction in the treatment of gastric cancer,and provide useful information and data support for further exploring the mechanism of Xiaoyan Decoction in the treatment of gastric cancer.

[Objective]This paper mainly uses CiteSpace 5.7 software to make a systematic overall investigation and analysis of the progress of tongue diagnosis in China,so as to provide some reference for the scientific and technical research and practical teaching activities of tongue diagnosis in China.The paper carries out systematic bibliometric research and scientific knowledge map visualization analysis with the theme of"tongue diagnosis",summarizes the development direction,knowledge structure and hot spot frontier of tongue diagnosis research from 1999 to 2020.[Methods]CNKI was used to search the relevant literature in the field of tongue diagnosis from January 1,1999 to December 31,2020.The author,key words and research institutions were analyzed by CiteSpace software.The time line view shows the interaction and time span of different clustering,and generates the visualization map.[Results]1 472 literatures were included in the atlas,and the high yield institutions,research teams and researchers were found through quantitative analysis.The largest number of papers was issued by Shanghai University of traditional Chinese medicine,with 115 papers published,and XU Jiatuo published 43 papers,which was the most productive author.The frequency of the key words"tongue image"was the highest(478 times).[Conclusion]Tongue image and tongue diagnosis are the hot topics in this field.
The incidence of allergic rhinitis is significantly affected by seasonal climate and is susceptible to autumn,which the specific pathological mechanism not clear yet.Based on the theory of"the lung corresponding to the autumn"in traditional Chinese medicine,combined with the influence of meteorological environment changes on human lung system and the homology of lung and nasal pathology,this paper proposed that the rhythm regulation of immune-pineal axis on allergic immune response may be an important pathophysiological basis of susceptibility to allergic rhinitis in autumn.
[Objective]To explore the effects of apigenin 7-O-glucoside(AGL)on the apoptosis of anti-tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand(TRAIL)breast cancer cells.[Methods]The effects of AGL,TRAIL and AGL+TRAIL on activity of breast cancer cells,level of poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase-1(PARP-1)and apoptosis were detected by CCK-8,Western-blot and flow cytometry.ROS level was detected by laser scanning confocal microscope.The level of malondialdehyde(MDA)and activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)were detected by ELISA.The levels of PARP-1,p53 and p53up-regulated modulator of apoptosis(PUMA)were detected by Western-blot.MCF7 models of transplanted tumor were established to observe growth and apoptosis of transplanted tumor treated with AGL+TRAIL.[Results]With the treatment of TRAIL(50 ng/mL)+AGL(20,40 μmol/L),survival rate of MCF7 cells was decreased(P<0.05),and Cleaved PARP-1 level was increased(P<0.05).With the treatment of TRAIL(50 ng/mL)+AGL(20 μmol/L),apoptosis rate of MCF7 cells,levels of Cleaved-Cas-3 and Cleaved-Cas-9 were significantly increased(P<0.05).With the treatment of AGL(10,20 μmol/L),number of ROS(+)cells and MDA level in MCF7 cells were significantly increased(P<0.05),while SOD activity was significantly decreased(P<0.05).The number of ROS(+)cells in MCF7 cells,related levels of p53,PUMA and Cleaved PARP-1 proteins with the treatment of TRAIL(50 ng/mL)+ AGL(20 μmol/L)were significantly higher than those with the treatment of TRAIL(50 ng/mL)(P<0.05),which were significantly lower with the treatment of TRAIL(50 ng/mL)+AGL(20 μmol/L)+NAC(4 mmol/L)than those with the treatment of TRAIL(50 ng/mL)+AGL(20 μmol/L)(P<0.05).The mass and volume of transplanted tumors,positive rates of p53 and PUMA3 in AGL+TRAIL group were significantly lower than those in Control group(P<0.05),while apoptosis rate was significantly higher than that in Control group(P<0.05).[Conclusion]AGL combined with TRAIL can promote apoptosis of anti-TRAIL MCF7 cells,which may be related to enhancing oxidative stress damage and activating caspase cascade.
[Objective]To discuss the effect of acupuncture on infertility with diminished ovarian reserve(DOR)for pregnancy outcomes in frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET)during the hormone replacement cycle(HRT).[Methods]100 infertility patients with DOR who planned to receive HRT-FET were selected and divided into control group(n=50)and acupuncture group(n=50).Control group received routine HRT-FET.Acupuncture group received acupuncture treatment during HRT before FET.Acupuncture was three times a week for 2 weeks.The serum estradiol(E2)and progesterone(P)level on endometrium transformation day,endometrial thickness and uterine artery hemodynamics[resistance index(RI),pulsatility index(PI)and peak systolic velocity/end diastolic velocity(S/D)]on the day before embryo transfer,embryo transfer number and clinical pregnancy outcome were compared among the groups.[Results]the endometrial thickness in acupuncture group were more than that in control group(P<0.05).S/D was lower in acupuncture group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences about RI and PI were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The clinical pregnancy outcome was 56%(28/50)in acupuncture group and 36%(18/50)in control group(P<0.05).The live birth rate was 44%(22/50)in acupuncture group and 32%(16/50)in control group(P>0.05).[Conclusion]Acupuncture could reduce uterine blood flow resistance,improve uterine blood flow,which was beneficial to the growth of endometrium,increase the thickness,improve the receptivity and increase the pregnancy rate on infertility with DOR during HRT-FET.
Tic disorder(TD)is a type of neuropsychiatric condition characterized by uncontrollable,recurrent,and rapid twitching of one or more muscles and vocal twitching.Deficiency syndrome and performance can be caused by insufficient endowment of children,internal injury of seven emotions or prolonged illness.Treating TD from deficiency is a kind of treatment under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory.By reviewing the clinical and experimental studies in recent years,this article summarizes the etiology,pathogenesis and diagnosis experience of treating TD from the perspective of vacuity,objective clarify from deficiency to elucidate the clinical treatment overview of TD,so as to provide a new idea to further explore the treatment of TD.
[Objective]To observe the effects of the antidepressant formula on the behavior and expression of ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule 1(Ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule-1,Iba1)and neurodegenerative inhibitory factor Ras homolog A(Ras homolog gene family,member A,RhoA)protein in brain tissues of migraine-depressed rats,and to explore the molecular mechanism of its alleviation of migraine with depressive symptoms.[Methods]Fifty-four healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into blank group,model group,western medicine group,and low-dose,medium-dose,and high-dose groups of Chinese herbal medicine for relieving depression and pain.After 1 week of acclimatization feeding,all 5 groups except the blank group were given subcutaneous injection of nitroglycerin injection into the neck and chronic unpredictable stimulation to establish migraine-depression co-model rats.The experimental modeling was started with pharmacological gavage intervention.Mechanical pain thresholds were measured before replication of the migraine model,and behavioral assessments(including body weight,absenteeism,sugar water consumption,forced swimming,and novelty food suppression)were performed before,on day 10,and after the modeling treatment.At the end of the modelling treatment,the brain was extracted by perfusion and the expression of Iba1 and RhoA gene proteins in the amygdala of rat brain tissue was detected by protein blotting.[Results]Compared with the blank group,the rats in the model group showed a decrease in body weight,the level and vertical movement scores of the open-field experiment,the sugar-water preference rate,and the mechanical pain threshold(P<0.01),and an increase in the novel food suppression-latency time and forced swimming immobility time(P<0.01);compared with the model group,the rats in the western medicine and antidepressant formula dose groups showed an increase in body weight,the level and vertical movement scores of the open-field experiment,the sugar-water preference rate,and the mechanical pain threshold(P<0.05,P<0.01).were increased(P<0.05,P<0.01),and the novel food suppression-latency time and forced swimming immobility time were shortened(P<0.05,P<0.01).The results of protein blotting showed that Iba1 protein expression in the amygdala of rat brain tissue was elevated in the model group compared with the blank group,and decreased in each dose group of Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compared with the model group,but none of them was statistically significant(P>0.05).The expression of RhoA protein in the amygdala of rat brain tissue was significantly higher in the model group compared with the blank group(P<0.01);compared with the model group,it was significantly lower in the Western medicine group and the high-dose group of TCM(P<0.01).[Conclusion]The mechanism of action of the antidepressant formula,which can significantly improve the symptoms of migraine-depression co-morbidities in rats,may be related to the reduction of central sensitization,the inhibition of microglia activation and the influence of RhoA expression.
[Objective]To systematic review the clinical efficacy and safety of integrated traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and western medicine in the treatment of primary immune thrombocytopenia(ITP).[Methods]Chinese and English databases such as CNKI,Wanfang,Pubmed and Embase were searched to screen the randomized controlled trial(RCT)of integrated TCM and western medicine for ITP.According to the Cochrane system evaluation method,the quality of the included literature was evaluated,the basic data were extracted,and the Rev Man 5.3 software was used for meta-analysis.[Results]After strict evaluation and screening,20 articles were finally included,including 1 538 subjects(782 in the observation group and 756 in the control group).Meta analysis results showed that the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of ITP improved clinical efficacy[OR=3.42,95%CI(2.55,4.58),P<0.000 01],peripheral platelet count[WMD=22.88,95%CI(17.48,28.28),P<0.000 01],TCM syndrome efficacy[OR=5.32,95%CI(2.19,12.89),P=0.0002],Treg cell level[WMD= 0.59,95%CI(0.06,1.12),P= 0.03],CD4+T cell level[WMD=4.39,95%CI(2.72,6.06),P<0.000 01],long-term efficacy[OR=3.37,95%CI(1.74,6.50),P=0.000 3],the reduction of TCM syndrome score[WMD=-5.69,95%CI(-7.30,-4.07),P<0.000 01],CD8+T cell level[WMD=-3.30,95%CI(-5.07,-1.52),P=0.0003],platelet associated antibody IgG(PAIgG)level[WMD=-8.96,95%CI(-13.77,-4.15),P=0.000 3],and adverse reaction rate[OR=0.42,95%CI(0.20,0.89),P=0.02]were superior to those of western medicine alone,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).[Conclusion]The clinical efficacy and safety of integrated TCM and western medicine in the treatment of ITP are better than those of western medicine alone.However,due to the limitations of the study,more high-standard and high-quality randomized controlled trials are needed to further confirm.
[目的]基于肠-脑轴探讨杜仲方(DZF)对帕金森病(PD)小鼠症状的改善及对其肠道微环境的影响.[方法]40 只雄性C57BL/6 小鼠随机分为对照组(Control)、模型组(Model)、杜仲方低剂量组(DZF-10 g/kg)、杜仲方高剂量组(DZF-20 g/kg),每组10 只.除对照组外,其余各组每 3.5 d腹腔注射 1 次 1-甲基-4-苯基-1,2,3,6-四氢吡啶(MPTP,25 mg/kg),1 h后皮下注射1 次丙磺舒(250 mg/kg),共注射 10次,对照组注射等量生理盐水.造模开始后,治疗组每天灌胃给予杜仲方,持续至末次造模后 1 周.分别于第 1、3、6 周进行爬杆、转棒实验;实验结束后,处死小鼠并取脑,检测小鼠中脑多巴胺能神经元数量及酪氨酸羟化酶(TH)表达水平;取结肠组织,观察结肠组织病理及Occludin、MPO、CD13表达情况;无菌条件下取粪便,16sRNA测序检测小鼠肠道菌群结构变化.[结果]杜仲方干预可明显改善PD小鼠的运动功能,缓解中脑黑质多巴胺能神经元的减少,改善肠道屏障功能和肠道炎症.同时能调整肠道菌群多样性,升高拟杆菌门(Bacteroidetes)丰度,降低厚壁菌门(Firmicutes)丰度,降低厚壁菌门/拟杆菌门(F/B)比值.[结论]杜仲方可以改善帕金森病小鼠的运动障碍及保护多巴胺能神经元,并且可以通过维持肠屏障功能,降低肠道炎症反应,改善肠道菌群结构影响肠道微环境.
