Introduction. The herbal remedy intended for the treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers includes dry extracts of 8 plants and finely сrushed powder of coriander fruit. Determining the quality indicators of the herbal remedy and its components – dry extracts – is the purpose of this work. Materials and methods. Dry extracts for the preparation of herbal remedy were obtained from the Small Innovative Enterprise "Arura" (Ulan-Ude). Qualitative and quantitative analysis of phenolic compounds and glycyrrhizic acid was determined by HPLC. The total contents of sum of biologically active substances were determined using pharmacopoeial methods. Results. Cynaroside, lycurazide, narcissin, typhaneoside, rutin, isoquercitrin, dihydroquercetin, catechin, epigallocatechin gallate, coumarin, gallic, chlorogenic, chicoric, caffeic, ferulic, and glycyrrhizic acids were identified by HPLC in the herbal remedy. Conclusion. The quality indicators of the herbal remedy include the recommended content of biologically active substances: the sum of flavonoids in terms of rutin – no less than 2.0%, glycyrrhizic acid – no less than 0.1% (HPLC), ascorbic acid – no less than 0.3%. The UV spectrum of a 70% alco-holic extract of the herbal remedy should have a maximum absorption at a wavelength of 230–236 nm, 330±5 nm, 273 sh., a minimum absorption at 312, 216 nm.
Аннотация.На основании анализа тибетского рецептурного справочника «Большой Агинский жор» выявлено 60 многокомпонентных прописей, применяющихся для лечения воспалительных заболеваний инфекционной этиологии.В составе прописей обнаружено 48 видов растений, из которых 25 являются фармакопейными в России, Китае и Монголии, 23не достаточно изученными, и представляют интерес в плане разработки новых эффективных антибактериальных и противовирусных средств.Нами выбраны три вида, произрастающие на территории Байкальского региона: Hypecoum erectum, Orthilia secunda и Gentianopsis barbata.В статье представлены данные литературы о химическом составе указанных растений, применении в народной и традиционной медицине и их фармакологических свойствах.Показано, что основными действующими веществами H. erectum являются изохинолиновые ature data on the chemical composition of these plants, use in folk and traditional medicine, as well as their pharmacological properties.It has been shown that the main active substances of H. Hepatoprotective properties of the extract derived from the herbs of Hypecoum erectum L. have been studied on a model of D-galactosamine-induced hepatitis in rats. It is established that Hypecoum erectum extract in a dose of 50 mg/kg diminishes the development of cytolysis and cholestasis syndromes, as manifested by maximum decrease in the following indices after 7 days of the experiment: ALT activity by 26%; AST activity by 44%; alkaline phosphatase activity by 30%; β-lipoproteins by 21%; and bilirubin by 29% (p < 0.05). The Hypecoum erectum extract (i) increases the energy potential of hepatocytes, manifested by increasing the ATP content by 70% (p = 0.001) and normalizing the ratio of lactate and pyruvate in the liver homogenate; (ii) inhibits lipid peroxidation, manifested by decreasing the content of malonic dialdehyde in the liver homogenate and diene conjugates in the blood serum on the average by 30% (p < 0.05); (iii) activates the antioxidant system of the organism, increasing the catalase activity in liver homogenates by 58% (p < 0.05) and 11% and the content of reduced glutathione in the blood by 56% (p < 0.05) and 36% (p < 0.05), respectively, on the 3rd and 7th days of the experiment.
The chemical composition of essential oil (EO) (0.57 – 0.80% yield) from a hepatoprotective herbal mix was analyzed by GC/MS. The major constituents of the EO were 4-epiacorenone (15.04%), dihydroisocalamendiol (11.55%), shyobunone (7.75%), thymol (6.91%), isoshyobunone (3.87%), Z-azarone (3.55%), a-selinene (3.19%), isocalamendiol (2.09%), camphor (1.23%), a-calacorene (1.23%), acoranone isomers 1 (3.07%) and 2 (1.61%), 1,8-cineol (1.61%), spathulenol (1.73%), caryophyllene oxide (1.65%), and caryophyllene (1.01%), which accounted for 67.09% of the oil composition. It was established that thyme, tansy, and absinthe contributed most significantly to the total antioxidant activity of the herbal mix.

Antioxidant activity of adaptogenic remedy Adaptophyte and its components was studied. The most effective antioxidants are the components of Adaptophyte: Bergania crassifolia (L.) Fritsch, Polygonum, aviculare L., Cinnamomum. cassia which inhibit formation МDА in the least concentration (less than 100 mkg/ml). Water-soluble substances of Punica granatum. L., Myristica fragrans Houtt., Rhaponticum. сarthamoides (Willd.), Zingiber officinale Rodcoe, Calendula officinalis L. have average indexes antioxidant activity (IC50 from 100 to 500 mkg/ml). Decoctions from Althaea officinalis L., Piper longum. L., Elettaria cardamomum. Maton., Inula helenium. L., Acorus calamus L. show antioxidant activity in high concentrations.
Experiments showed that a seven-component herbal mix decoction Narkophyt possesses anti-inflammatory properties, as manifested by the inhibition of exudation, reduction of the permeability of blood vessels, and decrease of fat cells degranulation.
It has been shown that Erythrophyte, a plant extract, administrated to Wistar rats in an experimental therapeutic dose of 1ml per 100 g body weight hes antialterative and exudative eff ects as well as promotes regeneration in acute aseptic infl ammation resulted in the healing of injured tissue at early stages of the pathological process. In addition, u decrease in vessel permeability and fat cells degranulation accompanied by histamine release blocking. Th e eff ects point to pronounced anti infl ammatory and wound healing activities of the extract.
Th e quantitative content of fl avonoids was determined in diff erent fractions and infusions in 5 multy componental herb teas. Th e content of fl avonoids is 0,56-2,76% in teas, and from 2,5 to 23-33% of fl avonoids are released from teas in water extraction (1:10).
Lipophilic and middle polarity compounds of anti-infl ammatory plant drug mixture show signifi cant antioxidative activity.
Use of plant remedy Ventrophyte in experimental therapeutical dose 50 mg/kg body wt. in Wistar rats under aseptic inflammation showed antialterative and antiexudative effects. Besides, fat cells degranulation decreasing and acceleration of regeneration as a result tissue healing on early stages of pathological process were observed during administration of Ventrophyte. These result of suggest that Ventrophyte has significant anti-inflammatory activity.
