The method of Reinforcing Yang is an important treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). It originated from "the Canon of Internal Medicine", followed the therapeutic principles of "Treatise on Febrile Diseases", and was developed in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has been inherited and developed by contemporary doctors and widely used in TCM clinical practices including Ophthalmology of TCM. This paper explored the theoretical origin of the application of Reinforcing Yang in Ophthalmology of TCM, explored the theoretical basis of its application in Ophthalmology from the perspective of "Vison based on Yang", discussed the physiological and pathological relationship between Yang of the five Viscera and the eye,summarized the clinical principles of Reinforcing Yang in Ophthalmology of TCM from the perspective of syndrome differentiation and treatment of viscera and orifices, and finally pointed out that the application of the method of Reinforcing Yang in the clinical treatent of ophthalmic diseases had important practical value.
Objective To investigate the protective effect and mechanism of Yijing Decoction on retinal vascular endothelial cell injury induced by high glucose in rats.Methods Rat retinal microvascular endothelial cells were randomly divided into five groups: control group(CG), high glucose group(HG), low concentration Yijing Decoction group(LYG), medium concentration Yijing Decoction group(MYG) and high concentration Yijing Decoction group(HYG).When the cells grew to 80%-90%, the high glucose endothelial cell injury model was established by adding 33 mmol/L glucose to the culture medium of high glucose group and Yijing Decoction groups for three days, and the corresponding normal glucose medium and Yijing Decoction of various concentrations were added for 24 hours on the 4th day.Endothelial cell viability was detected by CCK-8 kit, endothelial cell migration was observed by Transwell method, and the mRNA expression of intercellular connexin ZO-1 and endothelial cell PI3K, AKT and eNOS was detected by fluorescent PCR.Results Under the condition of high glucose, the activity of retinal microvascular endothelial cells in the control group was significantly lower than that in the control group(all P<0.05).The cell activity in the low, middle and high concentration Yijing Decoction groups were significantly higher than that in the high glucose group(all P<0.05). The migration of retinal microvascular endothelial cells in the high glucose group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05), and the cell migration in the low, middle and high concentration Yijing Decoction groups were significantly lower than that in the high glucose group(all P<0.05).Under the condition of high glucose, the mRNA expression of ZO-1,PI3K, AKT and eNOS in retinal microvascular endothelial cells were significantly lower than those in the control group.Compared with the high glucose group, the mRNA expression of intercellular connexin ZO-1 and endothelial cell PI3K, AKT and eNOS in the low, middle and high concentration Yijing Decoction groups were significantly higher than those in the high glucose group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Yijing Decoction can antagonize the expression of PI3K, AKT, eNOS and ZO-1mRNA in retinal microvascular endothelial cells of rats injured by high glucose, reduce endothelial cell migration, increase endothelial cell activity and reduce microvascular endothelial cell injury.
目的 基于数据挖掘探讨中医药治疗视网膜色素变性(Retinitis Pigmentosa)的用药规律,为临床治疗RP提供用药参考。方法 检索1962年1月至2022年3月中国知网(CNKI)、万方数据知识服务平台(Wanfang)、web of science等数据库中中医药治疗RP的有关文献,将纳入文献的方药组成录入Excel 2019建立数据库,采用中医传承辅助平台(V2.5版)进行中药的使用频次分析、用药模式分析、药物属性、组方规律进行统计,并做规则分析、聚类分析。结果 (1)一般情况:共纳入文献1735篇。纳入方剂205首,共涉及中药 174味。药物使用频次:使用频次≥20次的高频有32味,其中排名前5的分别是当归(125次,60.98%)、枸杞子(109 次,53.17%)、熟地黄(97次,47.32%)、茯苓(86次,41.95%)和黄芪(82次,40.00%)。(2)其中,四气以温性药使用频率最高,占比 39.7%。五味以甘味药使用频率最高,占比43.87%。归经以肝经最多,占比24.96%。(3)中药配伍规则分析:相关度排在前5位的药对分别是菟丝子、当归-枸杞子;熟地黄,山茱萸-山药;山茱萸、山药-熟地黄;黄芪-当归;菟丝子、枸杞子-当归。(4)对高频中药进行聚类分析:得到药对和方剂共5类,最终根据组方规律演化得到 5个治疗RP的新处方,临床使用中随证加减。结论 临床上治疗RP的方剂中使用药物药性以温性为多,药味多甘,以入肝经多见,临床上应辨证论治,随症加减运用。
AIM: To observe the effect of soluble glycoprotein 130(sgp130)on expression of p-STAT3 and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-A in retina of mice with diabetes mellitus(DM), and explore the possibility of sgp130 in interfering with inflammatory damage of diabetic retinopathy(DR).METHODS: A total of 45 mice were randomly divided into normal group, DM group and sgp130 group. DM models were made in DM group and sgp130 group with streptozotocin. No special intervention was given to normal group and DM group, but sgp130 group was given intravitreal injection of 1.5mg/mL sgp130 2μL at the 1 and 5wk. After 10wk, all the mice were sacrificed to assess the protein expression of interleukin 6(IL-6), p-STAT3 and VEGF-A in the retina.RESULTS: The expressions of IL-6, p-STAT3 and VEGF-A in retina of DM group were higher than those of normal group at 10wk(all P<0.01). The expression of p-STAT3 and VEGF-A in sgp130 group were lower than those in DM group(all P<0.01).CONCLUSION: The sgp130 can selectively antagonize the trans signal transduction pathway of IL-6, down-regulate the expression of downstream inflammatory factors VEGF-A, and it may be used in the intervention of retinal inflammatory damage related with IL-6 in DM.
目的:初步观察高度近视后极部视网膜脱离患者的后极部裂孔(非黄斑裂孔)的形态及相关因素,探讨玻璃体切除手术治疗的临床效果.方法:回顾性分析高度近视非黄斑裂孔的后极部孔源性视网膜脱离患者19例19眼的病例资料,观察裂孔的形态、位置、玻璃体牵拉和后巩膜葡萄肿的形态.所有病例行玻璃体切除联合裂孔周围视网膜内界膜剥除术,术中眼内激光光凝封闭裂孔,根据患者病情给予不同的辅助处理,如玻璃体腔内填充消毒空气、C3 F8、硅油等,术后3~5个月行硅油取出手术.术后随访观察患者最佳矫正视力和视网膜复位情况.结果:19只眼中后极部裂孔呈裂隙状12只眼(63.2%),小马蹄形3只眼(15.8%),小圆形4只眼(21.0%).其中<1/4 PD者10眼(52.6%),1/2~1/4 PD者7眼(36.8%),1~1/2 PD者2眼(10.5%).裂孔位于下方血管弓旁9只眼(占47.4%),上方血管弓旁4只眼(占21.1%),视盘下方1-4个视盘直径距离5只眼(占26.3%),视盘上方2个视盘直径距离1只眼(占5.2%).后巩膜葡萄肿18只眼(占94.7%),其中Ⅰ型(宽基底黄斑型)11只眼(占61.1%),Ⅱ型(窄基底黄斑型)5只眼(占27.8%),Ⅲ型(盘周型)2只眼(占11.1%).术后6个月最佳矫正视力LogMAR较术前降低,差异有统计学意义(Z=-3.162,P=0.002).术后6个月视网膜复位率94.7%.结论:导致高度近视视网膜脱离的后极部裂孔的形成可能与后巩膜葡萄肿、血管延伸性、玻璃体皮质牵拉有关,以裂隙状和细小裂孔为主,玻璃体切除手术中仔细寻找裂孔,联合裂孔周围视网膜内界膜剥除,可促进视网膜复位,提高术后视力.

"目运于肺"一说首见于明代王肯堂所著《证治准绳》,是对肺、目关系的高度概括和归纳总结,其中涉及目窍的结构、视觉及保护能力."目运于肺"提示目窍在发挥视觉生理功能的过程中,要凭借肺脏所主之气及其功能.如肺为气之本,目之精血得气推动,经玄府营养、通利目窍使目能精辨五色、明析万物;肺朝百脉,载血上注于目,眼目得血所养而能视;肺为水源,肺津上乘目珠,方能使目得其濡润;肺主皮毛,输卫气于眼周,使目得护卫而安.文章从上述角度结合中医典籍及现代临床医学研究,探讨"目运于肺"的内涵及临床意义.
目的 应用CiteSpace可视化方法探索中医药治疗视网膜静脉阻塞(RVO)的研究热点与发展趋势.方法 通过CNKI、万方、维普等数据库检索RVO相关主题文章,学科分类选择"中医学""中药学",时间跨度为1986年1月—2020年12月,文献经NoteExpress进行整理后,采用Citespace 5.7.R3软件对30余年来有关RVO的中医药治疗文献中的关键文献、研究热点和趋势进行分析.结果(1)一般资料:共得到有效文献514篇,中医药治疗RVO主题下发文量自1986年以来呈逐年上升趋势,在2010年后达到稳定状态.(2)作者和单位统计:发文量居前5的作者为彭清华、姚小磊、张波涛、叶群如、曾志成,发文量居前3的单位为湖南中医药大学第一附属医院、中国中医科学院眼科医院、南华大学医学院,但机构间合作研究较少.(3)关键词聚类及突现词:关键词聚类有活血化瘀、RVO、血栓通、眼底出血等;突现词有中西医结合治疗、眼底出血、散血明目片、黄斑水肿等.结论 RVO及黄斑水肿并发症的中医药治疗是临床研究所关注热点,未来需要加强研究的标准化、规范化及多中心研究.
目的 观察益景汤联合康柏西普治疗气阴两虚夹瘀型非增殖性糖尿病性黄斑水肿(DME)的疗效.方法 采用随机数字表法将2021年2—10月就诊于福建中医药大学附属人民医院眼科60例(85眼)气阴两虚夹瘀型非增殖性DME患者分为对照组30例(42眼)及治疗组30例(43眼),对照组于入组后第1、31、61天玻璃体腔内注射2 mg/0.2 mL康柏西普0.05 mL,治疗组在对照组治疗基础上予以益景汤口服,每日1剂,疗程3个月.治疗结束时和治疗后30 d比较2组最佳矫正视力(BCVA)、黄斑中心凹视网膜厚度(CMT)、需要再次注射的眼数.结果 2组患眼CMT在治疗结束时和治疗后30 d均较治疗前降低(P均<0.05),BCVA均较治疗前提高(P均<0.05),与对照组比较,治疗结束时和治疗后30 d治疗组BCVA提高、CMT下降均更明显(P均<0.05);且治疗组需要再次注射的眼数较对照组减少(P均<0.05).结论 益景汤联合康柏西普治疗气阴两虚夹瘀型非增殖性DME能明显改善患者视力,有效消退水肿,恢复黄斑形态,从而减少治疗后再次注射次数,疗效较佳.
为提高中药治疗中心性浆液性脉络膜视网膜病变的临床疗效,研究通过检索各大中文数据库,收集眼科古籍古方、近代名医验方及现代临床报道中关于治疗中心性浆液性脉络膜视网膜病变的方药。纳入108首方剂共148种中药,将所得中药整理后录入SPSS 23.0软件,根据中药功效进行分类;分析中药种类及使用频次,归纳古今医家诊治中心性浆液性脉络膜视网膜病变的思路;提出中心性浆液性脉络膜视网膜病变的诊治可以分为三种治法、三种证型,并总结出证型相应的方药,以期为临床诊治中心性浆液性脉络膜视网膜病变提供新的思路。
Inner blood-retina barrier (iBRB) is primarily formed of retinal microvascular endothelial cells (ECs) with tight junctions, which are surrounded and supported by retinal microvascular pericytes (RMPs) and basement membrane. Pericytes are believed to be critically involved in the physiology and pathology of iBRB. However, the underlying mechanism remains to be fully elucidated. We developed a novel in vitro iBRB model which was composed of primary cultures of rat retinal ECs and RMPs based on Transwell system. We tested the involvement of pericytes in the migration and invasion of ECs, examined the expression and activity of matrix metalloproteinase- (MMP-) 2/MMP-9 in the culture, evaluated the TEER and permeability of iBRB, and assessed the expression of ZO-1, occludin, claudin-5, and VE-cadherin of endothelial junctions. We found that RMPs with indirect contact of ECs can increase the expression of MMP-2 and upgrade the activity of MMP-2/9 in the coculture, which subsequently decreased TJ protein abundance of ZO-1 and occludin in ECs, promoted the migration of ECs, and finally reduced the integrity of iBRB. Taken together, our data show that RMP relative location with ECs is involved in the integrity of iBRB via MMP-2/9 and has important implications for treating diabetic retinopathy and other retinal disorders involving iBRB dysfunction.
Alkali burn is a significant contributor to corneal injury. Alkali burn-induced corneal inflammation often causes vision loss due to corneal neovascularization. Daphnetin (DAP) has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and antiangiogenic properties with encouraging results. Driven by those encouraging results, we sought to explore the effects of DAP in treating alkali burn-induced corneal inflammation and neovascularization and its mechanism of action. We found that the angiogenesis processes of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) induced by vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) were primarily attenuated by treatment with DAP, including proliferation, migration, and tube formation. Treatment of DAP significantly suppressed the VEGF-A-induced protein expression of VEGF receptor2 (VEGFR2), as well as the activation of downstream signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), AKT, and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling. In the mouse corneal alkali burn model, the inflammatory cell infiltrations and neovascularization in the cornea caused by alkali burn were inhibited by 10 µM DAP eye drops. Alkali burn-induced corneal protein expression of VEGF-A, VEGFR2, phosphorylated (p-)STAT3, p-AKT, and p-ERK in corneal tissue were reduced mainly by DAP. Moreover, the upregulation of inflammatory caused by alkali burn in the pathological process was significantly neutralized by DAP. Mechanistically, the inflammatory response could be alleviated by DAP in the way of inhibiting the expression levels of TLR4, p-NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, Cleaved-caspase-1 (p20), mature-IL-1β (p17), and N-GSDM. In conclusion, our findings confirmed that the corneal inflammation and neovascularization caused by alkali burn could be inhibited by DAP in vitro and in vivo, elucidating the underlying mechanisms of its protective effects. DAP may have tremendous therapeutic potential for the treatment of corneal alkali burn.
目的 探讨酪氨酸激酶受体1短发夹RNA(Tie1-shRNA)对高糖培养的大鼠内皮细胞(rECs)Tie1的表达的影响.方法 将rECs分为对照组、高糖组、高糖+慢病毒组和高糖+Tie1-shRNA组4组.构建Tie1-shRNA慢病毒载体,作用于高糖培养的rECs,干扰酪氨酸激酶受体1(Tie1)mRNA的表达;采用MTT法检测细胞增殖情况,细胞划痕实验检测细胞迁移情况,Western blot检测rECs中Tie1、血管内皮生长因子-A(VEGF-A)、基质金属蛋白酶-2(MMP-2)和基质金属蛋白酶-9(MMP-9)的蛋白表达.结果 细胞增殖活性4组间差异有统计学意义(F=48.937,P<0.01),其中高糖组细胞增殖活性明显高于对照组(P<0.01),高糖+Tie1-shRNA组细胞增殖活性较高糖组和高糖+慢病毒组均明显减弱(均P<0.01).细胞迁移率4组间差异有统计学意义(F=26.728,P<0.01),其中高糖组细胞迁移率比对照组明显增加(P<0.01),高糖+Tie1-shRNA组细胞迁移率较高糖组和高糖+慢病毒组均明显减弱(均P<0.05).4组rECs的Tie1、VEGF-A、MMP-2、MMP-9蛋白的表达差异有统计学意义(FTie1=85.902,P<0.01;FVEGF-A=48.937,P<0.01;FMMP-2=169.857,P<0.01;FMMP-9=130.018,P<0.01),其中高糖组 rECs 的 Tie1、VEGF-A、MMP-2、MMP-9蛋白的表达明显高于对照组(均P<0.05),高糖+Tie1-shRNA组rECs的Tie1、VEGF-A、MMP-2、MMP-9蛋白的表达较高糖组和高糖+慢病毒组均明显降低(均P<0.05).结论 通过Tie1-shRNA技术抑制高糖培养的rEC中Tie1的表达,可下调VEGF-A、MMP-2、MMP-9蛋白的表达,减轻高糖诱导的rEC的增殖和迁移.
目的 探讨益景汤对糖尿病(DM)大鼠血-视网膜屏障(BRB)的保护效应及机制.方法 45只大鼠被随机分为3组:正常组、糖尿病组(DM组)、益景汤组(YJ组),每组15只,采用链脲佐菌素对DM组、YJ组大鼠进行DM造模.正常组和DM组采用PBS进行灌胃干预,YJ组采用益景汤灌胃干预.16周后处死所有大鼠,采用伊凡思蓝检测BRB渗漏,Western blot法检测视网膜组织occludin、claudin-5、ZO-1等紧密连接相关蛋白的表达.结果 (1)视网膜血管通透性:在第16周末时,DM组大鼠视网膜微血管管径欠均匀、管迹模糊,存在明显的微血管渗漏,而YJ组大部分视网膜微血管管径均匀、管迹清晰,少量视网膜微血管渗漏.(2)紧密连接相关蛋白的表达:DM组大鼠视网膜中occludin、claudin-5、ZO-1等紧密连接相关蛋白表达量降低,与正常组相比差异均有统计学意义(toccludin=23.568,tclaudin-5=17.447,tZO-1=21.365,均P=0.000).益景汤能抑制DM模型大鼠视网膜中occludin、claudin-5、ZO-1蛋白的表达量下降,YJ组上述蛋白的表达量与DM组相比差异具有统计学意义(toccludin=5.539,tclaudin-5=5.466,均P=0.000,tZO-1=3.325,P=0.008).结论 益景汤能够抑制DM大鼠视网膜组织中occludin、claudin-5、ZO-1等紧密连接相关蛋白表达量下降,降低BRB的损害,减轻DM大鼠视网膜微血管的渗漏,对早期DR具有防治作用.
AIM: To investigate the oxidative damage effect of povidone iodine on corneal epithelial cells. METHODS:To study the oxidative damage effect of different concentrations of povidone iodine, the cultured epithelial cells were randomly divided into control group, low concentration group, medium concentration group and high concentration group. To study the oxidative damage effect of disinfection time of povidone iodine, the cultured corneal epithelial cells were randomly divided into control group, short time group, medium time group and long time group. Malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were detected by ELISA, cell viability was detected by CCK-8 method and inverted microscope, and apoptotic rate was detected by flow cytometry. RESULTS: The higher concentration of povidone iodine was associated with the higher MDA content, the lower SOD content, the lower cell activities and the higher apoptotic rate of the corneal epithelial cells, which was in a dose-independent manner. The differences among four groups were statistically significant(all P<0.01). The longer disinfection time of povidone iodine was related with the higher MDA content, the lower SOD content, the lower cell activities and the higher apoptotic rate of corneal epithelial cells, which was in a time-independent manner. The differences among four groups were statistically significant(all P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The oxidative damage of povidone iodine on corneal epithelial cells were in a dose independent and time dependent manner.
目的 探讨阿那白滞素在治疗前节内眼模拟手术诱发的血-视网膜屏障(blood-retinal barrier,BRB)破坏中的疗效.方法 将大鼠随机分为对照组、模型组、局部治疗组和全身治疗组,每组36只.造模后4 h、1 d、2 d、3 d、5 d和7 d,采用ELISA法检测房水和玻璃体内白细胞介素-1β(interleukin-1β,IL-1β)的浓度.采用Evans蓝作为示踪检测BRB的完整性.结果 造模后1 d、2 d、3 d、5 d四组间房水和玻璃体内IL-1β浓度差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.001).与对照组相比,模型组、局部治疗组和全身治疗组房水和玻璃体内IL-1β浓度在造模后4 h略有增加(均为P>0.05),造模后1 d显著增加(均为P<0.05),造模后2 d达到峰值(均为P<0.05),造模后3 d、5 d均下降(均为P<0.05),造模后7 d接近对照组水平(均为P>0.05).局部治疗组和全身治疗组房水和玻璃体内IL-1β浓度在造模后1 d、2 d、3 d、5 d均低于模型组(均为P<0.05).局部治疗组房水和玻璃体内IL-1β浓度在造模后1d、2d均低于全身治疗组,但造模后3d高于全身治疗组(均为P<0.05).造模后1 d、2 d、3 d、5 d四组间视网膜Evans蓝渗漏量差异均具有统计学意义(均为P<0.001).视网膜Evans蓝渗漏量在造模后1 d局部治疗组低于全身治疗组(均为P<0.05),但在造模后2 d和3 d局部治疗组均高于全身治疗组(均为P<0.05).局部治疗组和全身治疗组视网膜Evans蓝渗漏量在造模后1 d、2 d、3 d、5 d均低于模型组,但均高于对照组(均为P<0.05).结论 IL-1β在前节内眼模拟手术诱发的BRB破坏中起重要作用,阿那白滞素可以减轻BRB的破坏作用.
Objective To establish a simple method for isolation, purification and cultivation of primary retinal microvascular pericytes ( RMPs) from mice. Methods Retinas were isolated from mice following with mechanical morcel,enzymatic digestion and filtration. The retinal fragments were incubated with low glucose DMEM with 20% fetal bovine serum after 24 hours pre-incubation. Differential digestion was used for purification of primary RMPs. Morphological examination of cells was performed by phase contrast microscopy, and further characterization was analyzed by immunocytochemistry. Functional assay was evaluated by the pericytes-endothelial cells ( ECs) co-culture system. The treatment and use of experimental animals followed the regulations on the administration of experimental animals promulgated by the state science and technology commission. Results Cells migrated out of fragments after 24 hours of incubation, and developed into small or large colonies gradually. The cells and their subpassages presented typical pericyte morphology with large irregular triangular cell bodies and multiple long processes. No contact inhibition was observed. Most cells uniformly expressed the cellular markers α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor-β( PDGFR-β) ,a few cells expressed the cellular markers glial fibrillary acidic protein ( GFAP) ,but no cell expressed von Willebrand factor ( vWF) . The purity rate of RMPs was up to 97%. In the co-culture system,RMPs directly contacted with ECs to form the capillary-like cords in vitro. Conclusions A simple method for the isolation, purification cultivation of mouse RMPs is established, and active RMPs can be readily obtained by this method.
Objective To observe the long-term prognosis and related factors for central exudative chorioretinopathy (CEC).Methods Retrospective review was performed in CEC patients with five-year follow-up or longer,and data that were evaluated included best corrected visual acuity (BCVA),fundus photos,fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA)and optical coherence tomography(OCT).Results 36 patients (37 eyes) with CEC were followed up for 5 ~ 15 years,average 9.1 years.10 patients were male (27.8%) and 26 were female (72.2%).Choroidal neovascularization (CNV)in 36 eyes were typical based on FFA,and 1 was occult.BCVA ranged from 0.04 to 1.5 at the last follow-up,average 0.62 ± 0.28.BCVA increased in 27 eyes (73%),remained stable in 9 eyes (24.3%),and decreased in 1 eye (2.7%).Prognosis of BCVA is related to BCVA of first visit,location of CNV in macula,IS/OS integrity and duration of cure (P < 0.05),regardless treatment method (P > 0.05).Conclusions Prognosis of CEC patients is good.Prognosis of BCVA is mainly related to BCVA of first visit,location of CNV,IS/OS integrity and duration of cure.Duration of cure is controllable factors to improve the BCVA prognosis of CEC patients.
?AIM: To discuss the clinical features of dry eye in diabetics according to the comprehensive analysis of clinical symptoms and the clinical index on dry eye in diabetics and non-diabetics.?METHODS:Ninety patients with dry eye were collected from Jun. 2014 to Feb. 2016 in our hospital. A total of 45 cases of patients (90 eyes) with dry eye in diabetics and 45 cases of patients ( 90 eyes ) with dry eye in non-diabetics were included. Patients in the two groups were provided with questionnaire survey of ocular surface disease index scale Chinese Version ( COSDI ) . And tear break-up time ( BUT ) , Schirmer ▏ test ( Schirmer ▏) , corneal fluorescein staining ( FL) were measured.?RESULTS:The OSDI index of dry eye in the diabetic group (46. 88 ± 18. 51) was higher than that in the non-diabetic group ( 39. 76 ± 13. 62 ). The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The corneal fluorescein staining score ( 1. 57 ± 1. 33 ) in the diabetic group was higher than that in the non-diabetic group (1. 19±0. 82). The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The value of Schirmer ▏ test in the diabetic group ( 4. 30 ± 1. 80) was lower than that in the non-diabetic group (4. 80 <br> ±1. 52). The difference was statistically significant ( P<0. 05). The different value of BUT between two groups was not statistically significant (P>0. 05).?CONCLUSION:Based on symptoms, tear secretion and corneal epithelial defects, the influence is more serious inthe diabetic group than that in the non-diabetic group. Eye screening in patients with diabetes mellitus should include dry eye related clinical indexes of examination. So the patients with dry eye in diabetics would be provided timely and effective suggestion and treatment. The symptoms of dry eye and the quality of life would be improved.
