The result of regional introduction test of pinus taeda families indicated Pinus taeda families had higher adaptability and stress resistance,but there were greater difference in genetic differentiation and acclimatization between different families of Pinus tadea.There were obvious interaction between the families and environment.It was significant difference in fast-growing ability,adaptability and variability between different families.By integrated judgement,7 excellent clones,including CT-4,CT-6,MG-1,Yalin-1、Zhechangle Mother Tree 96、Nanyu-1 and PM-2,were selected according to their fast-growing ability,adaptability,high stress resistance and little variability.Being planted in soil level Ⅲ(or above) with general management,annual increment of height,DBH,volume of these families reached 0.7-1.2 m,1.2-2 cm and 0.002-0.007 m~3,respectively,which showed these families had more predominance in gain than that of Pinus elliottii and Pinus massoniana,and were suitable for further introduction,cultivation,popularization and demonstration as timber forests.
