目的 观察通督调神针刺结合电针治疗脑卒中患者偏身麻木的疗效.方法 将60例脑卒中后出现偏身麻木症状的患者分为对照组(n=30)和治疗组(n=30),对照组予以调控血压、血糖、血脂等基础治疗并结合康复训练,治疗组在对照组治疗方案的基础上予以通督调神针刺结合电针治疗.观察比较两组患者治疗前后的感觉障碍积分和数字麻木感积分.结果 与治疗前比较,两组治疗后感觉障碍积分均显著增加(P<0.05),数字麻木感积分均显著减少(P<0.05);两组患者治疗前后感觉障碍积分、数字麻木感积分差值比较,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05).结论 通督调神针刺结合电针可明显减轻脑卒中患者偏身麻木症状.
目的:探讨微信平台延续护理服务在前列腺癌术后尿失禁患者中的应用效果.方法:选择前列腺根治性切除术术后伴有尿失禁的患者,根据随机数字表法将其分为观察组32例和对照组28例.对照组给予常规延续性护理服务,包括电话随访,健康资料发放等,观察组在常规延续性护理服务基础上联合微信平台进行健康资料的宣传,收集患者尿失禁日记,同时,活动小组成员根据患者具体尿控恢复情况通过微信视频实施个体化指导监督.比较两组患者尿失禁生活质量评分和自我效能评分.结果:拔管3月后,观察组患者尿失禁生活质量评分、自我效能应对评分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01).结论:基于微信平台的延续性护理能促进前列腺癌根治术后尿失禁患者尿控能力的恢复,改善其生活质量.
目的 观察通督调神针法合耳穴压丸治疗脑卒中后抑郁的临床疗效.方法 将64例患者随机分为治疗组和对照组各32例,治疗组采用通督调神针法合耳穴压丸治疗,取督脉百会(DU20)、神庭(DU24)、风府(DU16)、大椎(DU14)、命门(DU4)、至阳(DU9)、腰阳关(DU3)为主穴,耳穴取神门(TF4)、丘脑(AT34i)、皮质下(AT4)为主穴,星期一至星期六治疗6次,每日1次,星期日休息,连续治疗4周;对照组口服氟西汀20 mg,每日早餐后顿服,连服4周.采用汉密尔顿抑郁量表(Hamilton Depression Scale,HAMD)、抑郁自评量表(Self-Rating Depression Scale,SDS)、中医证候评分标准、巴氏指数(Barthel Index,BI)评定两组临床疗效.结果 与治疗前比较,两组治疗后HAMD、SDS评分均显著减少(P<0.05),BI显著增加(P<0.05).治疗组HAMD、SDS评分差值与对照组比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);治疗组BI差值与对照组比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).与治疗前比较,两组治疗后单项证候积分及总积分均显著减少(P<0.05);两组单项证候积分及总积分差值比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05).两组临床疗效分布比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05).结论 通督调神针法合耳穴压丸治疗脑卒中后抑郁疗效肯定,可明显改善患者的症状,提高患者的生活质量,且不良反应较少.
Objective To investigate the mechanism of action of Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction based on the levels of inflammatory factors.Methods A total of 40 patients with acute cerebral infarction with wind-phlegm stasis syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 20 patients in each group.The patients in the control group were given treatment to improve cerebral circulation, inhibit platelet aggregation, and protect the nerves, and those in the treatment group were given Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture in addition to the treatment in the control group.The modified Rankin scale (mRS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) were used to evaluate neurological defects after cerebral infarction, and the plasma levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were measured before and after treatment.Results The treatment group had a significantly better clinical outcome than the control group (P<0.05).After 1 week of treatment, both groups had a significant reduction in IL-6 level (P<0.05) and a significant increase in hs-CRP level (P<0.05), and the treatment group had significantly lower levels of IL-6 and hs-CRP than the control group (P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, both groups had significant reductions in the levels of IL-6 and hs-CRP (P<0.05), and there were no significant differences in the levels of IL-6 and hs-CRP between the two groups (P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, both groups had significant reductions in NIHSS and mRS scores (P<0.05), and the treatment group had significantly greater reductions compared with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture can improve neurological defects in patients with acute cerebral infarction with wind-phlegm stasis syndrome, possibly by reducing the plasma levels of IL-6 and hs-CRP.
Objective To investigate the effect of meridian-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture pretreatment on neurobehavioral functions and cerebral water content and explore its mechanism for modulating miRNA664 and MMP9 expressions in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion rats.Methods One hundred and thirty Wistar rats were randomized into group A (electroacupuncture pretreatment) of 30 rats, group B (moxibustion pretreatment) of 30 rats, group C (aspirin pretreatment) of 30 rats, group D (model) of 30 rats and group E (blank control) of 10 rats. Group A received electroacupuncture; group B, suspended moxibustion with moxa sticks; group C, an oral gavage of aspirin 10 mg/kg. A model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion was made in every group after seven days. Rat neurobehavioral functions were observed and cerebral water content and relative miRNA664 and MMP9 expressions in the cortical region were determined at 24 hours after reperfusion.Results There was a statistically significant difference in the neurobehavioral score between group A, B, C or D and group E (P<0.01), between group A or B and group C (P<0.01) and between groups A and B (P<0.01). There were statistically significant differences in cerebral water content and relative miRNA664 and MMP9 expressions between group A, B, C or D and group E (P<0.01,P<0.05), between group A, B or C and group D (P<0.01), between group A or B and group C (P<0.01,P<0.05) and between groups A and B (P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusions Meridian-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture pretreatment can effectively decrease the neurobehavioral score and cerebral water content and reduce relative MMP9 expression through modulating miRNA664 expression in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion rats. One of the mechanisms of Du meridian-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture pretreatment for protecting the brain may be reducing relative MMP9 expression, inducing tolerance to cerebral ischemia and relieving cerebral edema by the modulation of miRNA664 expression.
OBJECTIVE:The present study aimed at observing the effect of moxibustion pretreatment on the expression of cerebral microRNAs and Aquaporin protein-4 (AQP 4) in rats with cerebral ischemia and reperfusion (CI/R), so as to reveal its mechanism underlying improvement of cerebral infarction.METHODS:A total of 130 Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank control (n = 10), CI/R model (n = 30), electroacupuncture (EA, n = 30), moxibustion (n = 30), Aspirin groups (n = 30). Before modeling, EA (2 Hz/5 Hz, 1-2 mA) or moxibustion was applied to "Baihui" (GV 20), "Fengfu" (GV 16) and "Dazhui" (GV 14) for 20 min, once daily for 7 days. The rats of the Asprin group were treated by intragastric administration of Aspirin (10 mg/kg, 1 mg/mL) , once daily for 7 days before modeling. The CI/R model was established by occlusion of the bilateral carotid arteries. The expression levels of cerebral miRNAs and AQP 4 were detected by real-time PCR and Western blot, respectively.RESULTS:Compared with the blank control group, the expression levels of cerebral miRNA 290 and miRNA 494 were significantly reduced, while that of AQP 4 was obviously up-regulated in the model group (P < 0.01). After pretreatment with EA and moxibustion, the relative expression levels of miRNA 290 and miRNA 494 were significantly higher in the EA, moxibustion and Aspirin pretreatment groups than in the model group (P < 0.01), while cortical AQP 4 expression levels were significantly lower in the EA, moxibustion and Aspirin pretreatment groups than in the model group (P < 0. 01, P < 0.05). The effects of both EA and moxibustion groups were significantly superior to those of Aspirin pretreatment group in up-regulating expression of miRNA 290 and miRNA 494 and down-regulating expression of AQP 4 (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). In addition, the EA pretreatment was markedly superior to moxibustion pretreatment in the aforementioned effects (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION EA pretreatment of GV 14, GV 16 and GV 20 can effectively up-regulate cerebral cortical miRNA 290 and miRNA 494 and down-regulate AQP 4 in CI/R rats, which may contribute to its effect in preventing the cerebral tissue from ischemia/reperfusion injury.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA)has become an important pathogen of nosocomial infections. Antibiotic resistance has become the main deadly factor in infections,as bacteria can protect themselves by hiding in a self-constructed biofilm. It has been reported that the combination of two drugs was more effective in enhancing the efficiency of biofilm inhibition and removal. In this paper,the studies of two drugs which against pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm were reviewed.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a well-known clinical pathogen for its recalcitrant infection caused by biofilm formation which are initiated by flagella-mediated attachment. Sodium houttuyfonate (SH) is a natural phytoanticipin derivative of houttuynin and has anti-pathogenic effect on P. aeruginosa biofilm formation. In this paper, when using 1/2 × MIC SH, the diameter of P. aeruginosa swimming motility was sharply shortened to 36 % in 24 h incubation, and the fold changes of fliC required for swimming motility was 0.36 in 24 h cultivation, the adherence inhibition accounted for about 46 %, and the pyocyanin production decreased to 47 % after 1-day treatment and 56 % after 3-day treatment with obvious visual changes from dark green to light green, compared with the negative control. With the help of mass spectra and scanning electronic microscope, 1/2 × MIC SH was further testified to be enough to eradicate flagella and inhibit pyocyanin secretion of P. aeruginosa. The results do not only re-affirm the close interplay of attachment and virulence (i.e. swimming motility and pyocyanin), but also unravel the potential mechanism of SH on anti-biofilm of P. aeruginosa.
OBJECTIVE To assess the clinical efficacy of acupuncture pretreatment for the prevention of stroke based on promoting the circulation of the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality, and explore its effect mechanism. METHODS Seventy cases of transient ischemic attack (TIA) were randomized into an acupuncture group (35 cases) and a western medicine group (35 cases). In the acupuncture group, acupuncture therapy of promoting the circulation of the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality was applied at Yaoyangguan (GV 3), Mingmen (GV 4), Zhiyang (GV 9), Shenzhu (GV 12), Dazhui (GV 14), Yamen (GV 15), Fengfu (GV 16), Baihui (GV 20) and Neck-Jiaji (EX-B 2). Acupuncture was given 6 times a week, at the interval of one day between two weeks. Totally, 21 days of treatment were taken as a session. In the western medicine group, aspirin enteric coated tablets were prescribed, 25 mg/tablet, 100 mg/day, once a night for oral administration, and 21 days of medication were taken as 1 session. There were 3 days at the interval between two sessions in each group and totally 2 sessions were required. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) was adopted before treatment and in two sessions of treatment to observe, mean flow velocity (Vm) of middle cerebral artery (MCA), vertebral artery (VA), basilar arte ry (BA) and pulsatility index (PI). The standard of the efficacy assessment of stroke aura was taken as the main efficacy index in the assessment of theraputic effect, the adverse reaction was observed. RESULTS 1In TIA, MCA blood flow was accelerated in internal carotid system, and BA blood flow was accelerated in vertebral-basilar artery system. The treatments in the two groups enabled the blood flow in the responsible blood vessels slow down and the results in the acupuncture group L(60. 54+/-11.76)cm/s, (36. 17+/-8. 65)cm/s] were better than those in the western medicine group [(72. 34+/-9. 15)cm/s,(65. 23 +/-8. 99)cm/s] (P0. 05). CONCLUSION Acupuncture intervention based on promoting the circulation of the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality achieves the superior efficacy on TIA and less adverse reactions as compared with aspirin. The effect mechanism is related potentially to the improvement of cerebral vascular hemodynamic.
目的研究鱼腥草素钠对头孢他啶抗铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜的增强作用及两药抗菌协同作用。方法微量倍比稀释法测定头孢他啶、鱼腥草素钠对铜绿假单胞菌的最小抑菌浓度(MIC),棋盘稀释法测定两药协同抗菌作用,结晶紫染色法[1]测定单药及联合用药对铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜的最小抑膜浓度(SMIC),肉眼观察药物对铜绿假单胞菌菌毛介导蹭行运动的影响,扫描电镜(Scanning Electron Microscope,SEM)下观察药物对生物膜形态的影响。结果头孢他啶对铜绿假单胞菌的MIC 4μg/ml,鱼腥草素钠对铜绿假单胞菌的MIC 512μg/ml,两药联合后,头孢他啶对铜绿假单胞菌的MIC 1μg/ml,鱼腥草素钠对铜绿假单胞菌的MIC 64μg/ml,部分抑菌浓度指数(FIC,FIC=联合用药时甲药MIC/单独应用甲药时MIC+联合应用乙药时MIC/单独应用乙药时MIC)为0.375,表明两药有协同抗菌作用。头孢他啶对铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜SMIC50粘附期为16μg/ml,早期生物被膜阶段16μg/ml,成熟期生物被膜阶段32μg/ml,两药联合后铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜SMIC50粘附期为8μg/ml,早期为8μg/ml,成熟期为16μg/ml,鱼腥草素钠对头孢他啶抗铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜有增强作用。肉眼观察蹭行运动,协同组抑制效果最佳。电镜下,协同组抑制铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜效果最强。结论鱼腥草素钠能显著增强头孢他啶抗铜绿假单胞菌生物被膜的作用,且两药具有协同抗菌作用。
Purpose: To investigate the effect of sodium houttuyfonate on the formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm at different stages.Methods: MTT assay was used to detect the antibacterial and metabolic effect of sodium houttuyfonate at different concentrations on Pseudomonas aeruginosa.An electron microscope was used to observe the inhibitory effect of sodium houttuyfonate on the formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm at different stages.Viable cell count on filter membrane was used to evaluate the inhibitory effect of sodium houttuyfonate on the adhesion of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm.Results: Minimum inhibitory concentration was 300 μg/mL,and the antibacterial activity of sodium houttuyfonate was positively dependent on its concentration.The concentration necessary for 50% and 80% inhibition of biofilm formation were 9.37-37.5 μg/mL and 37.5-150 μg/mL,respectively,and as a result,biofilm bacterial populations were reduced significantly compared with normal control group(P 0.05).Scanning electron microscopic(SEM) observation revealed that bacteria in sodium houttuyfonate group were in a planktonic state with smooth surface and no mucus-like substances,and the number of viable cells on carrier in the membrane filter was apparently smallers than that of normal control group.Sodium houttuyfonate at high dose had significant differences from control(P 0.05) in adhesion,initial formation of biofilm and the formation of mature biofilm.Conclusion: As an active ingredient in Houttuynia cordata,sodium houttuyfonate has antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa,and can effectively inhibit the formation of biofilm.
OBJECTIVE: To study antimicrobial effect of Sodium houttuyfonate (SH) on Staphylococcus epidermidis (SE) and Candida albicans (CA).METHODS: The prepared strain broths (OD600=0.05) containing SE and CA were firstly used to test the minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of SH, azithromycin (AZM) and fluconazole (FLU) by micro-dilution method. Then the biofilms of SE and CA were matured in 96-well plates, and co-cultured with SH, AZM and FLU for 1, 2 and 3 days to assess the antibiofilm efficacies of the agents with different concentrations by crystal violet staining method. At last, the treated biofilms of SE and CA by 2x MIC agents were observed by scanning electronic microscope.RESULTS: The MICs of SE and CA were 256 and 1024 mu g/mL, respectively. After the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day of medications, the suppressions of biofilm were about 60% (P<0.01), 76% (P=0.000) and 75% (P=0.000) by 2xMIC SH, the suppressions of biofilm were about 90% (P=0.000), 88% (P=0.000) and 90% (P=0.000) by 2xMIC SH, which could be testified by scanning electron microscope results. However, the inhibitions of biofilm attachment had no significant difference for SE by SH and azithromycin and CA by SH and fluconazole.CONCLUSION: SH had widely anti-pathogenic effect on pathogenic biofilm formation of either bacteria or fungus, had more influence on enclosed cells of SE and CA than the traditional antibiotics, revealing its target might be the extracellular polymeric substances, and was more active to inhibit the growth of CA than SE. Objective :To investigate the effects of Tobramycin against Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms and sodium houttuyfonate activity in combination with tobramycin.Methods :Microdilution assay was used to detect MIC of sodium houttuyfonateto Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Tobramycin.Checkerboard method was used to examsynergism of sodium houttuyfonate and Tobramycin.Crystal violet staining was used to detect SMIC of Tobramycin,sodium houttuyfonate toPseudomonas aeruginosa;SEM was applied to observe biofilm morphology.After treated with the two drugs,the pour plate method was used for colony count.Results :The MIC of Tobramycin to Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 512 μg/mL and sodium houttuyfonate in 4 μg/mL.After the combination of two-drug MIC was 64 μg/mL and 1 μg/mL and fractionalinhibitory conceritration(FIC) was 0.375 which showed a synergismwith azithromycin.The SMIC50 of Tobramycin against Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms at 1 d,3 d and 7 d were 8 μg/mL,16 μg/mL,32 μg/mL,respectively.The SMIC50 of the two drugs were 8 μg/mL,0.5 μg/mL,8 μg/mL,respectively.Sodium houttuyfonate can significantly improve the effects of Tobramycin against Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms.Conclusion :Sodium houttuyfonate can inhibit Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms and synergize with Tobramycin.Sodium houttuyfonate can significantly improve the effects of Tobramycin against Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms.

Objective To investigate the effects of Berberine and Matrine,both of which are active components from Chinese materia medica,against the formation of mixed bacteria biofilms of vulvovaginal candidiasis in vitro.Methods Mixed biofilms of Monilia albicans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were developed in vitro.Tetrazolium salt(XTT) reduction assay and morphological methods were employed to observe the formation process of mixed Monilia albicans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.The sessile minimal inhibitory concentration(SMIC) of Berberine and Matrine on mixed biofilms of Monilia albicans was evaluated using morphological methods and colony-forming unit(CFU) counting.Results Monilia albicans formed mature biofilms after being cultured for 48 hours.Berberine 125 mg/L could inhibit the formation of mixed Monilia albicans.Matrine 500 mg/L was not found to inhibit the formation of mixed Monilia albicans.Conclusion Berberine can be used for preventing vulvovaginal candidiasis because of its inhibitive effects against the formation of biofilms.
Objective To investigate the effects of Chinese Herbal Drugs indirubin and Osthol against mixed biofilms of vulvovaginal candidiasis.Method C.albicans and P.aeruginosa were mixed,then the mixed biofilms were developed in vitro.XTT reduction assay and morphological observation were performed to learn the formation process of C.albicans mixed biofilms.Morphological observation and CFU counting were employed to evaluate the sessile minimal inhibitory concentrations(SMICs) of indirubin and Osthol on C.albicans mixed biofilms biomass and confirmed by SEM.Result Mature mixed biofilms of C.albicans and P.aeruginosa were developed after 48 h in vitro.SMICs of indirubin and Osthol against C.albicans mixed biofilms biomass were 62.50 mg/L and > 500 mg/L,respectively.Conclusion Indirubin displayed potential to inhibit mixed biofilms of vulvovaginal candidiasis,thus can be used to prevent the recurrence of vulvovaginal candidiasis.
Objective:To discuss the study progress of Chinese Traditional Preventive Treatment Theory applied to acupuncture and moxibustion for apoplectic disease prevention.Methods:Through collecting the related document literatures about the theory of acupuncture and moxibustion for apoplectic disease prevention..Results:First,to prevent before the diseases outbreak;second,to prevent the worsening of current diseases.Conclusion:By adopting the method of applying acupuncture and moxibustion to prevent apoplectic disease,the positive preventive effects can be achieved for some individual apoplexy patients that are at high risks.However,the method still must be made further and intensive study.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of houttuyfonate sodium (HS) on eliminating adhesion of Psedomonas aeruginosa (Pa) and forming biofilms.METHOD:Pa biofilms were established in 96-hold plates. MTT assay was used to evaluate the changes in metabolism of biofilms and assess the minimum eliminating concentration and minimum biofilm inhibitory concentration for adherent Pa. The colony counting method was used to observe the effect of HS on Pa adhesion and biomass in biofilms. SEM was employed to examine the effect of HS on adhesion of tested Pa and morphology of biofilms.RESULT:MEC80 and MEC50 of HS for adherent Pa was 500 mg x L(-1) and 125 mg x L(-1), respectively. Meanwhile, its SMIC80 for either early or mature biofilms of Pa was 500 mg x L(-1), and SMIC50 for early and mature biofilms of Pa were 31.25, 1.95 mg x L(-1), respectively. At the concentration of 250 mg x L(-1), the number of viable bacteria in the state of adhesion and in initial and mature biofilms decreased significantly, compared with the control group (P < 0.05). The number of bacteria on adherent carriers notably reduced under SEM. Following the continuous administration, there were no visible biofilms on carriers in the mature biofilm phase, with the biomass remarkably shrinking and the bacterial morphology changing from bacillus into coccobacillus.CONCLUSION:HS displayed powerful effect on eliminating adherent Pa, and can inhibit Pa biofilm from being formed through continuous administration.
