Strain BS8Y with high biodegradation activity and high tolerance of phenol was isolated from activated sludge in an insulating material plant of China. This strain was capable of removing 99.2% of the initial 600 mg/l phenol in liquid minimal medium within 24 h and tolerating phenol at concentrations of up to 1200 mg/ml. DNA sequencing and homologous analysis of the 16S rRNA gene identified that the strain BS8Y belonged to an Acinetobacter species. Polyvinyl alcohol was used as gel matrix to immobilize the strain BS8Y. The factors affecting the phenol degradation by immobilized cells and the phenol removal efficiency of free and immobilized cells were investigated; the stability of the immobilized cells is also reported. The results show that the immobilized cells could tolerate a higher phenol level and protected the bacteria much more effectively against changes in temperature and pH. The phenol degradation efficiency was high at up to 96% within 30 h, with an initial concentration of 800 mg/l phenol, and the immobilized cells showed better performance than the suspended cells. Reusability tests revealed that the immobilized cells were stable enough even after reuse for ten times or storing at 4°C for 35 d. These results demonstrate that immobilized Acinetobacter sp. BS8Y possesses a good application potential in the treatment of phenol‐containing wastewater.
By applying the method of documentation,the paper has expounded the present situation of Alpha and Alpha-theta brainwave biofeedback' research and application in clinic and daily psychological prevention.The result shows: the brainwave biofeedback is mainly applied to the treatment of anxiety,secondly applied to the treatment of substance addiction such as alcohol in clinic,while is still primary stage in daily psychological training including human potential development.The instructor plays an important role in brainwave biofeedback.Brainwave biofeedback training combining with other relaxation methods is conducive to enhance the curative effect.Then we draws the conclusion: with the popularization and promotion of portable brainwave-biofeedback instrument,the brainwave biofeedback has a good prospect in education and emergency training as a subsidiary psychological intervention methods.
The article establishes a method to determine the content of hesperidin in orange juice by RP-HPLC and then compares the difference of hesperidin contents in orange juice from different manufacturers. The determination was performed on a DiamonsilTMC18 column (4.6 mm×150 mm,5 μm),with a grient mobile phase of acetonitrile (pH 3.5)/phosphoric acid solution=22∶78 (v/v),and the flow rate was 1.2 mL/min,the detection wavelength was 283 nm. Results:Good separation of the components to be determined and other components (1.5),The linear range of hesperidin was 2.8~56.0 μg/mL,The average recovery of hesperidin was 99.6%,RSD was 0.9%. Conclusion:The method appeared to be simple,accurate and precise. It is suitable for test the content of hesperidin in orange juice.
The bioactivity of Aloe vera L polysaccharide such as immunoregulation, antiviral,antitumor,antioxidant,radioresistant was summarized.The problems to be solved urgently for further research on mechanism of biological activities of A.vera L polysaccharide and the technical problem influencing rapid development of A.vera L industry were pointed out.
Objective To isolate and purify the active antitumor components from Aloe vera var.chinesis Berg.Methods Using silica gel column repeatly,Sephadex LH-20,four components were islotated from Aloe vera var chinesis Berg.By means of physico-chemical properties and spectral analysis,and their structures were determined.The anti-tumor activities of these compounds were evaluated in vitro by SRB and flowed cytometry using human leukemia carcinoma cell K252.Results These components were identified as Aloe-emodin,physcion,chrysophanol,emodin.It showed that 5μg/ml compound 1,10μg /ml compound 2,3,4 could resisit cancer cell.Conclusion All four components can inhibit the growth of the cancer cell.Both aloe-emodin and emodin show strong activity,while physcion and chrysophanol show weak activity.
神经干细胞移植治疗阿尔茨海默病鼠包括细胞替代治疗和基因治疗,神经干细胞移植阿尔茨海默病鼠脑后其组织形态学与行为学效应均可以得到不同程度的修复和改善。细胞替代治疗中,神经干细胞与神经营养因子联合移植效应优于单纯的神经干细胞移植,但目前对神经干细胞体内分化机制的不确定导致了神经干细胞移植治疗的盲目性,同时对影响其疗效的各种可能因素也缺乏比较研究。神经干细胞基因治疗具有细胞替代和基因治疗的双重作用,但尚处于研究的初期阶段,仍以NGF,BDNF,GDNF等单一营养因子基因修饰的神经干细胞移植治疗为主,且转基因神经干细胞移植入阿尔茨海默病鼠脑后外源基因表达效率、促分化、功能修复情况以及安全性的研究还很缺乏。目前神经干细胞移植治疗阿尔茨海默病鼠脑后的疗效检测技术手段比较单一,免疫组化方法与活体示踪技术的结合、形态学指标与功能学指标的综合检测是疗效检测的发展趋势。

Objective: HPLC is employed to determine the content of chlorlgenic acid in different kinds of Houttuynia cordatas thunb at the same time.Method: taking diamonsilTMC18(4.6mm×150mm.5μm) as column,0.06mol.L-1NaH2PO4(pH=2.7)-MeOH=7:3 as mobile phase,the velocity of flow is 1ml-1and the inspect wavelength is 326nm.Result: the lineal range is 0.092-0.552 μg,the average rate of recovery is 97.7% and the RSD is 3.1%.Conclusion: the new way is easy and accurate.It has a good recurring rate,which can be used to select better Houttuynia cordata material and control the quality of preparation.
The methods of field investigation,specimen collection,classification and literature retrieval have been employed to validate there are ten species of dysosma.The authors emend the list and give a brief description of the biological features and zoological-geography distribution of Dysosma Woodson.
To find the minimum active unit of alginate lyase localized to pseudomons' periplasm,degenerate primer pairs were used in cloning of partial gene from a soil bacterium,Pseudomonas sp.MY01.This alginate lyase gene fragment was then amplified using special primers and cloned into pBAD gⅢ/A vector.Induction conditions of L-arabinose were optimized for expression,analyzed by SDS-PAGE.Recombinant bacteria were broken by supersonic wave and the solution components were centrifuged,and the supernatant was collected as crude enzyme.Sodium alginate was used as substrate for qualitative analysis of lyase activity.As a result,GenBank accession number of the gene fragment was AY716133.According to sequence analysis,amino acid sequence was homologous with periplasmic alginate lyases of Pseudomonas and Azotobacter bacteria,while it was clustered into the Pseudomonas group in a neighbor-joining tree.It had a motif "NNHSYW".The polysaccharide depolymerized with crude recombinant enzymes showed strong absorbance at 235 nm,indicating a typical activity of alginate lyase in the fused protein.There have been more studies about alginate lyase,but there have been few reports about recombination expression of active fragments.
[Objective]The aim was to provide the experimental reference for medicine prevention of Carassius auratus disease caused by Bacillus cereus.[Method]The inhibitory effect of 7 kinds of common edible Chinese herbs on B.cereus of C.auratus was detected by paper method and double broth dilution method.[Result] 7 kinds of common edible Chinese herbs all had inhibitory effect on pathogenic B.cereus to some degree.Among them,Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Houttuynia cordata and Aloe vera had good inhibitory effect and the inhibitory effect of Lonicera japonica,Taraxacum officinale,Flos sophora and orange peel were poor.The minimal bactericidal concn.of the 7 tested samples were all far larger than their minimal inhibitory concn..Only G.uralensis and H.cordata at 500 μg/ml showed weak bactericidal effect and other samples all had no obvious bactericidal effect in their selecting concn.range.[Conclusion]The selected 7 kinds of common edible Chinese herbs all had inhibitory effect to a different degree,but it only had week or had no bactericidal effect.
In order to promote the research and exploitation of agar-derived oligosaccharides,soil microbe were isolated and screened for new agarase-producing bacterial resources.By employing the 16S rRNA gene method,an isolate named MY03 has been identified to be a member of the Paenibacillus group.The Paenibacillus sp.MY03 was also a new member of the agarase-producing bacterial family,according to the molecular characterization in this study.
Paenibacillus sp.MY03 is a bacterium with high agarase activity which has been isolated from the soil of cypress roots.In order to promote the exterior agarase development,growth conditions of MY03 strain have been optimized.As a result,60 hours after its fostering at 37℃,with the inducer of agar powder at a concentration of 0.05% and the starting pH of 7.0,MY03 strain shows a high stability of agar-producing,which might be helpful for deep research of agarase and the encoding of genes.
Effects of surfactant Tween 80 and Tween 60 on the secretion of extracellular polysaccharide have been compared in the fermentation of mycelia of Coprinus Comatus.While both of Tween 80 and Tween 60 can improve the yield of extracellular polysaccharide,Tween 80 is better.Experiments with different Tween 80 content show that the yield of extracellular polysaccharide is up to 31.226g/L when the content of Tween 80 is up to 0.05% in fermentation culture,comparing the yield of 21.437g/L in control group,the yield of extracellular polysaccharide increased 46%.
This review summarizes the pharmacological action of aloe and its application. By using the method of documentary, pharmacological action,toxic and side effects, clinic application and nutritional function of aloe were introduced. As aloe contains a large amount of bioactive factors, it has intensive pharmacological action, it needs further investigation and exploitation, and has wide application prospect.
