Research on Chinese students’ well-being remains limited. Using the 2020 wave of the China Family Panel Studies, a large, nationwide dataset involving 6,568 participants across 4,782 households, we examine how social capital, higher education, and Internet use collectively shape college students’ subjective well-being in urban and rural settings, test a new education-happiness paradox, and offer the following novel discoveries. Urban students with both high social capital and higher education report the highest well-being. Rural students with high social capital but lower education rank second. With low educational levels, increases in social capital lead to greater well-being gains for rural students than urban students. Interestingly, with high social capital, higher education predicts the highest well-being for urban students but the lowest for rural students. Internet use not only facilitates connections but also detracts from face-to-face interactions and partially mediates the relationship between social capital and students’ well-being. As educational achievement increases, the added benefit of social capital for well-being decreases. Our new education-happiness paradox provides essential insights and helps policymakers and educators balance educational growth, foster social capital, promote responsible Internet use, and achieve equitable, sustainable, and subjective well-being across diverse student groups.
Within the constraints of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, China must intricately balance between carbon emissions and economic growth. The market regulation mechanisms of the carbon emissions trading scheme and the macro-control mechanisms of local government investment robustly impact carbon emissions (in kilotons, kt) and intensity of carbon emissions (in metric tons per million GDP, t/million). Economic growth varies greatly across various regions in China. We apply the dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model to analyze the dynamics of economic growth in different carbon trading schemes across the developed eastern regions and the underdeveloped central and western regions. We incorporate the levels and the differences in economic growth across regions. Our research reveals the following discoveries: First, when regions have mutually independent carbon trading markets, carbon emissions increase more in underdeveloped regions, with higher local economic growth. Second, with a unified carbon trading mechanism, the gaps in carbon emissions and economic output between developed and underdeveloped regions widen further. Developed regions have higher incremental carbon emissions and lower incentives to reduce emissions. Third, as the competition between regional governments for economic growth and carbon emissions intensifies, each region's economy grows significantly. Interestingly, as governments invest in their economies, incremental carbon emissions in developed regions are substantially lower than in underdeveloped regions. Our economic model reveals a critical reference for explaining the imbalance of regional economic development in the context of China's low-carbon emissions.
Conducting research on the comprehensive quality evaluation of college teachers in ethnic minority areas is essential for promoting the high-quality development of ethnic higher education. This study adopts the Competency Model to construct an evaluation index system, covering knowledge and skills, professional ethics, social roles, and personal traits. Using Guangxi University, a representative ethnic institution, as a case, we conducted an exploratory study on university teachers in ethnic minority areas. We determine the index weights through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and conduct a comprehensive evaluation using the Cloud Model. The results show that due to the differences in personal values, educational backgrounds, and cultural perspectives of different teachers, the level of comprehensive quality of teachers in colleges and universities in ethnic areas has not yet realized a balanced development. We claim that it is necessary to establish a sound long-term mechanism for cross-ethnic cultural training led by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, develop intercultural and multicultural cooperation, and build an ethnic cultural exchange platform to deepen the knowledge and understanding of the differences in the elements of ethnic cultures, to help improve the cultural sensitivity of the teachers, and to promote the construction of the comprehensive quality of the teaching force.
Analysis of the factors influencing the price of carbon emissions trading in China and its time-varying characteristics is essential for the smooth operation of the carbon trading system. We analyse the time-varying effects of public concern, degree of carbon regulation, crude oil price, international carbon price and interest rate level on China’s carbon price through SV-TVP-VAR model. Among them, the quantification of public concern and the degree of carbon emission regulation is based on microblog text and government decisions. The results show that all the factors influencing carbon price are significantly time-varying, with the shocks of each factor on carbon price rising before 2019 and turning significantly thereafter. The short-term shock effect of each factor is more significant compared to the medium- and long-term, and the effect almost disappears at a lag of six months. Thanks to public environmental awareness, low-carbon awareness and the progress of carbon market management mechanisms, public concern has had the most significant impact on carbon price since 2019. With the promulgation of relevant management measures for the carbon market, relevant regulations on carbon emission accounting, financing constraints, and carbon emission quota allocation for emission-controlled enterprises have become increasingly mature, and carbon price signals are more sensitive to market information. The above findings provide substantial empirical evidence for all stakeholders in the market, who need to recognize that the impact of non-structural factors on the price of carbon varies over time. Government intervention also serves as a key aspect of carbon emission control and requires the introduction of relevant constraints and incentives. In particular, emission-controlling firms need to focus on the policy direction of the carbon market, and focus on the impact of Internet public opinion on business production while reducing carbon allowance demand and energy dependence.
The presence of tourists and the absence of scientific evidence exacerbate the silence of alarming destructions at China's minority tourist attractions. The yearly tourist arrival to resident ratio reaches 26.5 at minority attractions—the Miao-Dong Autonomous Prefecture in China, which is higher than 16.3 in Venice, Italy. Overtourism motivates us to develop a low-carbon transition evaluation system at three Dong culture attractions. Based on the Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response framework (DPSIR), we develop a low-carbon transition evaluation system and then, evaluate low-carbon transitions at three minority tourist attractions in 2010, 2012, and 2017. Our three-dimensional visualization reveals the changes (Liping and Tongdao upgrade from fair to average and good ratings over time) or the lack thereof (Sanjiang shows no improvement) in low-carbon transitions. This study provides a foundation and a step-by-step process to design, develop, and apply a tailor-made low-carbon transition evaluation system for minority tourist attractions in China. Our rigorous research methodology verifies the actual situations and demonstrates the first evidence of its validity. Visualization offers profound practical implications to scholars and practitioners in tourism research. Future scientists in socio-economic planning sciences may follow our approach, incorporate local rich characteristics, and replicate our visualization of low-carbon transitions in other locations, globally. Our methodology helps decision-makers identify and mitigate the most vulnerable sectors in the ecological and environmental niche and optimize sustainable tourism. We nudge government organizations and business enterprises in the tourism industry to strengthen environmental awareness, engage in systematic socio-economic planning and construction, and promote green tourism.

积极引入商业保险机制参与医疗保障治理,对于完善我国基本医疗保障制度,实现医疗保障领域治理能力和治理体系现代化的战略目标具有重要意义.惠民保险近年来发展势头迅猛,其"宽门槛、低保费、高保额"的特点使其在服务我国医疗保障治理上有突出优势.文章从政府政策支持、治理模式两方面分析惠民保险参与医疗保障治理现状,然后剖析惠民保险参与医疗保障治理成效以及存在的问题,最后提出了相应的对策建议.
利用2010-2020年中国出口信用保险公司各分公司相关数据,采用DEA-Malmquist指数模型对我国出口信用保险发展效率进行测度.首先,利用DEA-Malmquist指数模型得出各地区历年出口信用保险发展效率指标值,测度结果表明我国出口信用保险发展效率非DEA有效,且在2010-2020年期间呈现"倒N"形波动状态,发展效率仍有较大提升空间;其次,运用皮尔逊相关性对各地区出口信用保险发展效率的测度结果进行层次聚类,研究表明我国出口信用保险存在区域异质性;再次,分别从规模效率、技术水平和技术效率三个方面提出创新出口信用保险营销模式、推动政企合作、加强产品创新等对策建议,以期助力我国出口信用保险高质量发展.
企业的内部治理与企业环保投资行为密切相关,董事高管责任保险作为一种新兴的外部治理机制,其在公司治理中发挥何种效应、是否会影响企业环保投资规模尚未得到充分研究.文章以2002-2020年沪深A股中明确披露环保投资额的上市公司作为研究样本,通过实证模型分析公司购买董事高管责任保险对企业环保投资水平的影响.研究发现,董事高管责任保险的引入显著地抑制了企业环保投资;经过工具变量法、PSM等一系列稳健性检验后这一结论仍然成立.渠道检验发现董事高管责任保险通过提高企业的融资约束,进而抑制企业的环保投资.进一步研究发现,当企业的规模较小、内部控制质量较低和信息披露质量较差时,董事高管责任保险对企业环保投资的抑制作用更为显著.综上,文章从董事高管责任保险的视角进一步拓展企业环保投资的影响因素,并从保险公司、企业、政府部门等视角提出政策建议.
乡村振兴战略在推动"三农"问题的解决及加快农业转型升级方面具有划时代意义.智慧农业保险作为农业保险创新的重要方向,通过"乡村振兴战略要求——智慧农业保险服务乡村振兴内容——智慧农业保险服务乡村振兴专项监管——智慧农业保险服务乡村振兴优化反馈"的作用机理服务乡村振兴战略.针对智慧农业保险服务乡村振兴中产生的问题,需通过构建多主体协同机制、完善智慧农业保险产业链、创新数据共享模式和培育复合型人才等路径实现.
发挥"农业保险+信贷"的融资作用,为农业产业链的生态场景注入新的发展动能是促进乡村振兴发展的长效机制.通过分析两种典型的"农业保险+信贷"模式的运作原理,总结"农业保险+信贷"模式与农业产业链协同发展关系,进而构建两者协同发展满足"产业兴旺、生态宜居、乡风文明、治理有效、生活富裕"乡村振兴战略总要求的逻辑.然而,推动"农业保险+信贷"模式与农业产业链协同发展继续服务乡村振兴,仍面临金融发展水平与乡村振兴发展的金融需求不匹配、农业产业链的不稳定性影响乡村振兴的持续发展、农村金融市场和农业产业链的信息不对称影响乡村振兴提质增效等问题.建议通过优化农村金融发展水平、增强农业产业链多主体的互动性、推进农村金融市场和农业产业链的数据共享三方面突破困境.
Rural tourism landscape resources are important ingredients of rural revitalization and modernization in developing countries and regions. Evaluation methods play a crucial role in the planning, design, transformation, development, and protection of these resources. However, there has been a lack of research on the evaluation of rural tourism landscape resources, especially from the perspective of rural revitalization and carbon neutrality. From the perspective of carbon neutrality and rural revitalization, this article establishes an indicator system to evaluate rural tourism landscape resources based on previous evaluation methods and expert consultations on landscape planning. An evaluation model based on the intuitionistic fuzzy VIKOR method structure matching is also suggested. Some practical suggestions are put forward to promote the values of rural tourism landscape resources through empirical analyses of three regions in Changsha, Hunan, China. Our study shows that the evaluation results could objectively reflect the values and existing problems of rural tourism landscape resources, which could provide practical tools for local government departments to make decisions, and landscape architects to plan and design. Based on this model, further suggestions are provided to improve rural tourism landscape resources.
本文基于中国2009-2018年的省际面版数据,利用系统GMM方法分析政府干预对中国产业结构升级与技术创新的影响.研究发现,政府干预对中国产业结构升级与技术创新都具有显著正向影响,并且具有滞后性,在后续的最小二乘法估计和固定效应估计以及改变被解释变量的结果中,结论依旧一致.最后根据估计结果,结合政府干预对技术创新和产业结构升级的影响机制,提出提高政府干预效率的建议.
随着我国工程建设行业高速发展,工程保险作为一种有效的工程风险管理方法被广泛采用.论文首先概括了我国建设工程险的发展脉络,并分析了建设工程险运用保险科技的现状,随后剖析了建设工程险在运用保险科技过程中面临的一系列挑战,最后探讨了保险公司和政府监管部门等主体借助大数据和人工智能为代表的保险科技手段实现建设工程险创新发展的相关对策.
The government’s supervision of new residential building projects’ (NRBPs) energy-saving can promote carbon neutrality policies within its jurisdiction. A scientific and systematic evaluation of NRBPs energy-saving reflects a government’s management performance. However, achieving accurate and reasonable results with unitary evaluation standards without considering regional characteristics is not easy. This study proposes an evaluation method of intelligently evaluating the effectiveness of government energy-saving supervision with regional characteristics weighted in. Consequently, these evaluation indicators can reveal the key issues in carrying out local energy-saving policies and provide concrete guidance for local governments to manage the energy-saving of NRBPs better. The method was tested with ten projects and found to be effective.

人口老龄化时代下,国家不断优化养老产业整体布局并鼓励各行业促进养老产业发展,养老产业迎来广阔的发展空间.在政策导向下,保险行业与养老产业融合成为趋势,寿险企业作为保险行业布局养老产业的主体已通过多途径参与养老产业并形成不同的参与模式.本文在梳理了寿险企业参与养老产业的三种模式及其运作机制的基础上,剖析在融合过程中寿险企业面临数据共享障碍、提供的养老产品服务与市场需求存在缺口和参与养老产业面临内外部因素制约的问题,提出寿险企业要利用保险科技赋能行业间数据共享、创新养老保险产品与增值服务满足需求扩容、加强企业内部风险管控与风险机制建设,政府可以发挥"中间人"作用、优化寿险企业养老产品服务的政策导向、监管实时营造公平合作环境,医疗、健康管理机构也要建立数据共享机制、明确医疗成本核算以完善医疗服务价格体系及加强自身建设来提高参与质量.
