Introduction. In an observation on 24 healthy young male volunteers, the effect of the passive exoskeleton of the lower extremities on motor control was studied. One of the conditions influencing the parameters of motor control in the hybrid posture is the predominant type of sensory organization in the usual vertical posture. Results Differences between the “hybrid posture” under the described conditions from a simple vertical were more clearly revealed during rhythmic purposeful swinging of the sample volunteers in the sagittal and frontal planes, as a redistribution of the activity of the muscles under study and differences in the swinging amplitude in the frontal plane for conventional “proprioceptors” and “visuals”. Discussion. The control of the upper limbs (pressure on the fixed handle due to the instruction) practically did not depend on the peculiarities of the sensory organization of the under the conditions of the given visual control. In the variants of the vertical with and without exoskeleton, there was a difference in the complexity of manipulation (more in the hybrid posture) with the same effectiveness.
The aim of the considered part of the complex project was to study the electromyographic activity of the flexor and extensor muscles (superficial flexor of the fingers, extensor digitorum, the long extensor of the thumb and short flexor of the thumb of the hand) of both hands in search of signs of muscle adaptation during repeated brief sessions of targeted control with the help of the hand applied force for a short course. The analysis of individual and group characteristics indicates the important role of the configuration, the distribution of activity (interaction) of the studied muscles in the development of adaptation, differences in the activity of muscles of the right and left hands. The differences between the flexor muscles and extensor muscles on both hands were manifested in large values of the maximum EMG amplitudes and a more pronounced shift to a decrease in the indicators from the background in the direction of subsequent target sessions for flexor muscles, with a non-linear nature of the changes
При разработке классических стабилометрических тестов или тестов с биологической обратной связью, важным фактором, влияющим на результаты, может быть тип воспринимаемой зрением картины. Данный аспект важен для практических областей: медицины, спорта и других. Полученные в наблюдении на 9 здоровых добровольцах результаты показывают, что поза более стабильна при рассматривании четких простых визуальных изображений, что, вероятно, связано с базовыми механизмами обработки зрительной информации.
The aim of the study was to evaluate vertical stability changes according to stabilometric findings under artificial short-time disturbed occlusion. Twelve individuals were included in the study and vertical stability was assessed in stability platform before and under short-time bite change. The registered changes might be connected with an approximate reaction and random reasons. There is a possibility of bias by mechanical transfer of the stabilometric study results on the diagnosis of dental status.
OBJECTIVES:To develop a technique of physical rehabilitation of stroke based on the gradual increase of motor/cognitive loading using biofeedback to supporting reaction based on stabilometry with a focus on the changes in peripheral afferentation with the help of an axial loading suit and simple non-apparatus vestibular and respiratory exercises. The efficacy of standard scheme of restorative treatment and a new technique of optimized complex rehabilitative treatment of acute ischemic stroke in the vertebral-basilar system was compared.MATERIAL AND METHODS:We examined 28 patients with acute stroke in the vertebrobasilar area manifesting with dizziness, disturbances of equilibrium and stability. The patients were randomized into two equal groups (n=14). In the main group, a new technique was added to standard treatment. In the control group, traditional pharmacological and physical treatment was used. We administered clinical scales and instrumental stabilometric assessment as well.RESULTS:A significant improvement of the vertical stability assessed with clinical scales (Bohannon, Perry, Stolyarova, Berg Balance Scale) and stabilometric parameters (the Romberg's test) was shown in the main group compared to the control one.CONCLUSION:The new technique expands the potentials of rehabilitation in the acute stage of stroke and allows to prepare the patient to independent gait.
New stabilometry value associated with energy consumption of the examinee is proposed and clinical case illustrating its use for complex prosthodontic treatment quality assessment. Need for national guidelines on stabilometry for dental practice is also discussed.
Attention is regarded as a dynamic spatio-temporal structure reflected inter alia in distribution patterns of total spectral power density of EEG alpha-rhythm obtained in volunteers. Factors influencing formation, time of existence and parameters of such structure are related to dynamics of the observation object (heart), to the use of individual combinations of perception codes, by the volunteers etc. It is supposed that localization of a single "cerebral area of attention" can not be universal for all individuals. An approach to the description of different types of attention to one's own heart is proposed in which attention is characterized based on distinguishing critical points or EEG registration zones in which the loss of system's stability is most likely reflected as transition to another functional state.
A new high accuracy method of evaluation of individual RR-intervals distribution is described. The twofold benefits of quantiles measurement of short term RR-intervals distribution are high accuracy and reability of results as well as possibility to compare the results among different time spans. The method offered might be used to measure quick changes of human activity. The differences of individual RR-intervals distribution are revealed correlate to type and effectiveness of the activity during 60 sec periods.
