This study investigates the impact of digital technology on inclusive growth, using data from the China Family Panel Studies (2010–2018) and a mediation effect model. Inclusive growth is operationalized through two core indicators: individual income levels and income disparity. Results show that access to digital technology significantly boosts income and reduces inequality, with Internet use frequency mediating this relationship. The effects are especially pronounced among rural residents, women, and individuals in higher-skilled occupations. Robustness checks confirm the validity of the findings. The results highlight the potential of digital technology to promote inclusive growth, underscoring the need to expand digital infrastructure and ensure equitable access across social groups.
Under the current turbulent global situation, digital transformation has become a key force in restructuring the elements of world resources and new kinetic energy to promote the sustainable development of firms. In contrast, its internal and external driving factors at the firm level have not yet been identified. This study is dedicated to examining the impact of digital transformation on corporate environmental responsibility. The methodological foundations of the research are resource-based view, stakeholder theory, and information asymmetry theory. For verifying the proposed hypotheses, the study takes the panel data of Chinese listed firms from 2014 to 2023 (6,483 observations) as the research sample. It adopts statistical and regression analysis methods. Empirical results suggest that digital transformation positively correlates with corporate environmental responsibility by increasing companies’ engagement in green practices; economic policy uncertainty negatively moderates the analysed relationship, reducing the positive effect of the introduction of new technologies; media attention and financial constraints positively mediate the analyzed relationship. It is shown that the media serve as a key mechanism for external oversight and improving corporate governance in the capital market. By easing financial constraints, companies can obtain more external investment and resources, thereby increasing their ability to assume environmental responsibility.

Conclusion: Social media is a powerful, yet complex tool for environmental sustainability that requires systematic implementation and critical assessment. The paper offers practical advice and outlines future research directions to maximize the positive impact of social media on environmental efforts.
Objectives: To explore the role of CEO leadership styles in driving sustainability and integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into business strategies. To analyze the influence of transformational and servant leadership on corporate environmental responsibility. To identify the barriers to sustainability adoption within organizations, including financial constraints, regulatory challenges, and shareholder resistance. Methods: A mixed-methods approach, including survey data, interviews, and case studies, was used to analyze CEO-driven green practices across industries. The study examines how different CEO leadership styles influence sustainability initiatives within organizations. Results: CEOs with proactive leadership styles, particularly transformational and servant leadership, lead organizations with higher ESG scores and stronger employee engagement. Financial constraints, regulatory challenges, and shareholder resistance are identified as major barriers to adopting sustainability initiatives. Organizations led by proactive CEOs exhibit greater long-term business resilience. Conclusion: The study emphasizes the importance of CEO leadership in driving sustainability efforts and recommends enhanced leadership training to foster stronger ESG integration. Policy reforms and standardized ESG metrics are suggested to strengthen CEO-led sustainability initiatives. Proactive leadership styles contribute significantly to organizational success in sustainability, making it essential for CEOs to champion environmental responsibility.
Businesses and governments alike must explore extra sustainability reserves, including those associated with digital transformation, in the current VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) world. The purpose of the article is to identify the relationship between digital transformation and corporate sustainability and to justify investor attention as a moderating factor in this relationship. To achieve this goal, the authors formulated and tested two hypotheses: (1) digital transformation has a positive impact on corporate sustainability; (2) investor attention is a moderating factor in the relationship between digital transformation and corporate sustainability. The regression analysis uses data on China's listed companies from 2013 to 2022 (5,367 observations). The authors found a significant positive relationship between digital transformation and corporate sustainability. It is empirically proven that digital transformation contributes to corporate sustainability. This conclusion remains sound after a succession of robust tests have been carried out. The study confirmed that investor attention plays a significant moderating role in the relationship between digital transformation and corporate sustainability. The heterogeneity test showed that the impact of digital transformation on corporate sustainability is, firstly, more pronounced for state-owned enterprises in China, and secondly, it is more noticeable in the regions of China with a more developed institutional environment. The theoretical significance of this study is to confirm the value of introducing the moderating variable of “investor attention” between digital transformation and corporate sustainability, expanding the traditional framework for studying the impact of digital transformation on corporate sustainability. The practical significance is to provide more evidence that the adoption of digital technologies by firms facilitates the sustainable development of their businesses. The study is also of great value to governments, as it justifies the relevance of institutional change for successful digitization and sustainable development.
The study aimed to examine the digital transformation, research and development innovation, and financial performance in new energy automobile in China to become the basis for developing a strategic plan to enhance financial investment of the new energy automobile industry.The study utilized self-made questionnaire as the data-gathering instrument.Participants of the study were 408 general managers or finance executives as participants of the enterprise which has been listed more than five years.The analysis of digital transformation was discussed from the aspects of artificial intelligence technology, big data technology, cloud computing technology and blockchain technology; Research and Development innovation was analyzed from the aspects of processed innovation, product innovation and marketing innovation; The financial performance was assessed from total assets, net assets and financial profit.Spearman rho was used to test the significant relationships as part of the non-parametric tests.All analyzes were performed using SPSS version 28.The research revealed that respondents agreed the components affecting digital transformation were Artificial Intelligence Technology, Big Data Technology, Cloud Computing Technology and Blockchain Technology.They agreed on the factors affecting Research and Development Innovation were Processed Innovation, Product Innovation and Marketing Innovation.They also agreed that the main factors affecting the financial performance of enterprises were Total Assets, Net Assets and Financial Profit.There was a significant positive correlation between digital transformation and enterprise research and development innovation, and there was also a significant positive correlation between digital transformation and enterprise financial performance.At the same time, research shows that there was a significant positive correlation between Research and Development innovation and corporate financial performance.Basis on this,a strategic framework to enhance financial investment can be developed.
This study investigates the influence of the expansion of the virtual arts market on private sustainable investment in China spanning the years 1985 to 2021, employing the autoregressive distributed lag model. The results indicate that a 1% rise in the virtual arts market correlates with a short-term surge of around 0.46% in private sustainable investment, with a lasting increase of 0.38%. Furthermore, factors such as social inclusion, privatization, economic size, financial development, and renewable deployment significantly shape private sustainable investment patterns. Noteworthy policy recommendations arising from these findings include the integration of sustainability topics into educational curricula, the establishment of online platforms dedicated to sustainable virtual arts, the cultivation of green financing markets, and the promotion of collaborations among virtual arts institutions with a specific emphasis on sustainability.
作为数字时代政府治理变革的重要方向,政府治理的数字化转型对建设数字政府、推进国家治理现代化及助推实现高质量发展非常关键.以"互联网+政务服务"试点为准自然试验,运用双重差分法考察政府治理数字化转型对城市经济效率的影响.研究发现,试点政策显著促进了城市经济效率提升,该结论在多重稳健性检验后依然成立.机制分析表明,试点政策通过改善传统政商关系、提升公共服务质量和激发城市创新创业活力为经济效率提升拓展了新的动能空间.异质性分析表明,试点政策的经济效率改善效应在信息基础设施较为完善、市场整合程度和政府财政透明度较高的地区更为明显.上述结论为新时期加快推进政府治理数字化转型及探索实现高质量发展的"中国之治"提供了政策参考.
This study aims to explore the impact of the digital economy on common prosperity. For this reason, a bidirectional fixed effect model based on panel data of 30 provinces (cities and autonomous regions) in China is empirically tested. The results show that the digital economy can significantly improve the level of common prosperity, and has a positive impact on green and sustainable economic activities such as promoting environmental improvement, coping with climate change and resource conservation and efficient utilization, which is still valid after a series of robustness tests. It also demonstrates the role of green finance as a partial intermediary in the process of shared prosperity and as a negative regulator of environmental pollution. Analysis of regional heterogeneity shows that the enabling effect of the digital economy on common prosperity is more significant in eastern and central provinces, but not significant in western provinces. The results of this study have some reference significance for some countries, where the gap between rich and poor has widened during the epidemic, to narrow the income gap and provide ideas for the parties that made commitments at the Glasgow Climate Summit (COP26) to curb warming and reduce CO 2 emissions. That is, continuous improvement of digital infrastructure; emphasis on the intermediary role of green finance and the negative regulating role of local environmental pollution levels; following the relative comparative advantages of regions and formulating differentiated policies for the development of the digital economy, etc.
作为国家创新驱动发展的重要引擎,全面创新改革释放的制度红利对新时期激发经济增长新动能、引领企业高质量发展至关重要.以全面创新改革试验区的设立为准自然试验,从政策驱动和制度激励双重视角,探究了全面创新改革对企业高质量发展的影响.研究发现:全面创新改革政策试验显著促进了企业全要素生产率提升,且政策效果呈现动态增强趋势.机制分析表明,政策驱动下试验政策通过加大政府财政补贴,有效缓解了企业融资约束,制度激励下创新改革显著降低了制度性交易成本,促进了企业创新,两者协同推动企业高质量发展.异质性分析发现,上述改革带来的制度红利在行业竞争和要素市场化程度较高城市企业以及高研发密集度和民营企业中更为显著.上述发现为新时期深入推进国家全面创新改革,助推实体企业高质量发展提供了新的微观层面经验证据.
MICE tourism is a prominent part of research on tourism in China. The implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative has pointed out a new direction for the fusion and upgrading of the convention & exhibition industry and tourism in China, making MICE tourism expected to go global, integrate into China’s overall strategic consideration system and usher in the opportunity to go international. In this paper, a brief definition of MICE tourism is given, and the value, challenges and innovation path for MICE tourism in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative are systematically analyzed.
This study explores the impact and mechanism of the digital economy on the tourism service trade. We adopted two-way fixed effects and mediating effects models, and conducted empirical studies based on panel data of 30 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) in China. The results show that the digital economy can significantly improve the development of the tourism service trade, and has a certain role in carbon emission reduction. This conclusion remains valid after a series of robustness tests and proves that carbon emission per capita plays an intermediary role in this process. The regional heterogeneity analysis shows that the digital economy plays a more significant role in promoting inland regions and regions with a higher tourism resource endowment. These findings are significant for the relevant industries, ecological activists, other stakeholders and the realization of the «Glasgow Climate Pact». The results provide guidelines for the recovery of the tourism service industry in the post-epidemic era, achieving the “double carbon” goal, realizing low-carbon tourism and the control of carbon emissions by countries related to the COP meeting. The guidelines can help to strengthen the development of digital infrastructure and promote digital technology in the tourism service industry, differentiate promotion measures based on geographical location and tourism resource endowment, fully consider the intermediary role of carbon emissions, and develop corresponding low-carbon technologies and innovative green technologies.
推动经济实现质的稳步提升和量的合理增长,既是应对经济增速放缓的当下之需,也是构建新发展格局的长远之策,数字经济已成为助推经济高质量发展和实现"双碳"目标的新引擎.本文在梳理数字经济助推低碳转型文献的基础上,提出了数字经济赋能城市低碳转型的作用机制,并利用2011-2018年中国地级市面板数据进行实证检验.研究发现,数字经济有助于实现城市碳排放降低和全要素碳生产率提高,该结论在多重稳健性检验中依然成立.机制分析表明,数字经济通过推动能源效率提升、绿色技术进步和产业结构升级等途径赋能城市低碳转型.深入分析发现,经济增长目标与环境目标约束对数字经济助推城市低碳转型的作用不同,其中经济增长目标约束强化了地方政府发展经济的动机,削弱了数字经济对城市碳"减排"和"增效"的作用;环境目标约束强化了政府环境监管行为,增强了数字经济的低碳治理效应.异质性分析表明,数字经济发展能够推动老工业基地城市低碳转型,但囿于对传统资源产业的路径依赖,对资源型城市的低碳治理作用尚不显著.
创新制度改革对释放城市创新创业活力、激发经济发展内生动力具有重要战略意义.运用双重差分法实证探究了创新制度改革对城市全要素生产率的作用机理.研究发现:全面创新改革试验政策显著促进了城市全要素生产率提升,且随着实施时间的推移促进效应逐渐递增.试验政策主要通过吸引企业和创新要素集聚、促进产业结构升级和加大财政科技支出等途径推动城市全要素生产率提升.但是不同创新改革试验区的制度红利存在差异,开放合作创新改革试验区、承接产业转移改革试验区和区域协同创新改革试验区的生产率效应显著,军民融合创新改革试验区的生产率效应不显著.为全面建成创新型国家,应充分发挥新型举国体制优势,把科技创新与制度改革作为推动经济高质量发展、形成新动能的"双引擎",持续释放创新改革红利.
作为现代化经济体系空间网络的"中枢节点"和"传输纽带",信息网络基础设施建设对激发城市创新动力、构建数字网络强国具有重要意义.基于2011-2018年地级市面板数据,以"宽带中国"战略试点为准自然试验,采用双重差分法评估信息网络基础设施建设的创新驱动效应.研究发现:"宽带中国"战略试点政策显著促进了城市创新水平提升,该结论在采用工具变量和倾向得分匹配等一系列稳健性检验后仍然成立.从时空效应来看:试点政策的创新驱动效应具有动态可持续性,随着年份的推移,效果不断增大;且试点政策加速推动了地理相邻城市的信息和创新要素流动,产生了较强的示范效应,并加剧了示范城市建设的政策洼地效应,对经济相似地区创新资源和要素产生了一定的虹吸效应.从影响机制来看,试点政策通过集聚驱动效应、结构优化效应促进城市创新,数字金融助推效应相对较小.从异质性来看,试点政策对东部地区城市和行政等级较高的直辖市、省会及副省级等城市的创新驱动效应相对更强.研究结论为深入推进新型基础设施建设、加快推动创新型国家建设提供了参考和借鉴.
新型城镇化为工业发展提供人力资本、积累知识和技术,进而促进工业高质量发展.本文在综合测度新型城镇化和工业高质量发展水平的基础上,从产业集聚和技术创新两方面探究新型城镇化对工业高质量发展的作用机制,并利用固定效应模型和中介效应模型对我国2008-2019年省际面板数据进行实证研究.结果 表明:(1)我国工业高质量发展和新型城镇化水平都在逐渐提升,但存在明显的区域差异,且工业高质量发展的区域差异在逐步拉大.(2)新型城镇化和传统城镇化均能促进工业发展,但新型城镇化更能促进工业的高质量发展.(3)产业集聚和技术创新是新型城镇化推动工业高质量发展的作用机制,且技术创新的作用强于产业集聚.因此,需加快新型城镇化建设,充分发挥其集聚效应和技术溢出效应以更好地推动工业高质量发展.
新零售发展潜力巨大,不仅为消费增长和经济发展注入新的活力,还促进了产业转型升级和新技术赋能新市场.本文基于我国2008-2017年的省级面板数据构建了固定效应模型,实证检验了经济、社会、竞争环境对连锁零售业规模增长的影响情况,并使用门槛模型对存在区域异质性的指标进行了检验与回归.结果表明:收入差距、社会保障水平和外资竞争是主要制约因素;产业结构、人均收入和连锁经营水平是主要激励因素.人口规模和社会保障水平存在门槛效应,其中人口规模的影响呈"U"型,门槛值分别为-0.1278和0.9083;社会保障水平的影响呈"L"型,门槛值为1.7434.因此,政府要多渠道增加居民收入、调整产业结构等,行业协会应进一步承担社会责任,使连锁零售业在新零售背景下拥有良好的发展环境.
利用260个地级市数据研究多维政绩考核、地方政府竞争对区域生产效率损失的影响.研究发现:在经济型、经济-生态型和经济-生态-服务型政府绩效考核机制下,地方政府间的竞争高位压力均会导致城市生产效率损失,低位吸力则会促进本地区生产效率提升.多元化政绩考核体系能够有效纠正地方政府间竞争造成的资源配置扭曲,降低城市生产效率损失.不同区位、资源禀赋和人口集聚下各城市之间地方政府竞争策略存在差异.就区位异质性而言,经济发达地区的城市由竞争而导致的生产效率损失程度更高,但同时也具有更强的集聚力以提高区域生产效率;就资源禀赋异质性而言,环境规制对资源型城市生产效率提高作用更为显著,多元化政绩考核机制一定程度上能够避免"资源诅咒"效应的形成,从而降低地区生产效率损失;就城市规模异质性而言,"用脚投票"机制在超大特大型城市中作用更为显著,不同规模城市提高生产效率途径存在差异.
在资源环境约束日益趋紧的背景下,提高我国地膜回收率,防控“白色污染”成为亟需解决的问题.文中以新疆1056户棉农的调查数据为基础,利用Logistics模型研究社会规范、生态认知对农户地膜回收行为、地膜机械化回收行为和地膜资源化处理行为的影响.结果 表明:社会规范和生态认知水平在不同的地膜回收行为群体之间呈现显著差异;社会规范对农户地膜回收行为有显著正向影响;生态污染认知对农户地膜回收行为、地膜机械化回收行为和地膜资源化处理行为有显著正向影响;生态重要性认知对农户地膜回收行为有显著正向影响;生态保护成本认知增加会降低农户地膜回收和资源化处理意愿,但是能够提高农户机械化回收地膜意愿.
