The aim of the study was to evaluate structural changes in the testes of rats on the third day after exposure to the bacterial lipopolysaccharide gram-negative microorganism Escherichia coli. Bacterial lipopolysaccharide Escherichia coli (serotype 0111: B4, manufactured by Sigma, USA) was administered to male rats at a dose of 50 mkg/kg intraperitoneally one time. Research methods included histological, morphometrical, electron microscopy. In the experimental animals there were detected a decrease in the number of interstitial endocrine cells by 13.85% and a decrease in the area of their nuclei by 23.06%; a decrease in the number of sustentocytes by 25.65% and reduction of the area of their nuclei by 17.15%; a decrease in the number of spermatocytes by 26.54%. Electron microscopic examination revealed swollen basement membrane of the tubules and ultrastructural changes in sustentocytes and spermatocytes. Single administration of E. coli bacterial lipopolysaccharide to male rats at a dose of 50 mg/kg i.p., causes on the 3rd day after exposure development of pathological changes in the testes of the animals, which results in a reduction of interstitial endocrinocytes; reduction in the amount of sustentocytes and spermatocytes while reducing the size of their nuclei; changes in the ultrastructure of spermatogenic epithelium in the form of large numbers of phagolysosomes in the cytoplasm of sustentocytes and reduction of cristae in mitochondria.
It was studied the effect of alkaloids celandine isolated from root part of plant on structure and function of rat liver. Administration of celandine alkaloids for 10 days at doses 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg, intraperitoneal invoked activation of cytochrome P450-dependent monooxygenases of liver and increasing of thymol probe in blood serum. Following injection celandine alkaloids at dose 20 mg/kg was found reduction activity of cholinesterase in blood serum and signs of hepatitis: diffuse lymphocytosis, neutrocytosis and formation of lymphogranuloma.
The new, well replicated method of simulation of an acute focal destructive pancreatitis at rats with predicted result and as much as possible approached to clinical practice is developed. Experiment is executed with use of solution of a nonionic detergent Triton Х-100 at 30 nonlinear white rats. The offered model differs that at its use pathomorphologic changes in a pancreas educe locally as influence by Triton Х-100 is spent is dosed, unitary, that allows to investigate pathogenetic mechanisms of development of the given form of an acute pancreatitis, and in a clinical practice – to choose more effective methods of treatment and, that is not less important, to determine optimal terms of their application with an assessment of their influence on dynamics of arising local changes and disturbances of a homeostasis.
Experiments on rats were carried out to study the effect of dinil on the animals on chronic intake of the agent in the quantities exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations by many times. Despite few biochemical changes, there was a certain tension of adaptive processes, which appeared as a change mainly in the integral characteristics of the plasma amino acid pool. The observed changes in the levels of neurotransmitters and neuroactive amino acids in the striatum, midbrain, and hypothalamus are characterized by specific characteristics and may underlie the negative effect of dinil on central nervous system functions. Long-term administration of the agent to the animals did not induce pronounced morphological and biochemical disturbances in the tissues of the liver, heart, and kidneys. Changes in the concentrations of serotonin and neuroactive amine acids in the brain regions might have the greatest consequences to the body. Since the detectable changes in a number of metabolites are likely to be functional in the given period (monthly dinil use), an attempt to correct developing disorders with metabolic therapy agents may be recommended.
Antituberculous drugs (ATD) can adversely affect the kidney and liver. Visceral morphological and histochemical changes were studied in guinea-pigs long receiving a combination of 2 or 5 ATDs. The use of ATDs caused changes at all levels (organ, tissue, and cell). The liver exhibited a pattern of microvesicular steatosis and the kidneys showed hyaline dropwise degeneration. The activity of NADN-DH, NADRH-GH, lactate dehydrogenase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase lowered in the liver and kidneys, so did the activity of acid phosphatase in the alveolar macrophages. More pronounced changes were detected after the use of 5 ATDs.
The given article analyses the primary experience of experimental use of the domestically produced photosensitizer «Photolon» in the Republic of Belarus for treatment of festering wounds and proves its effectiveness.
