The aim of the work: determination of pharmacological properties of the herbal remedy « Pankreophyt». The studies were carried out on 78 white Wistar rats. Pharmacological properties of the herbal remedy were studied according to the “Manual on the experimental (pre-clinical) study of new pharmacological substances” (2005). It has been established that «Pankreophyt» in the dose of 300 mg/kg has a marked anti-inflammatory activity in aseptic peritonitis, reducing the volume of peritoneal fluid and degranulation level of mast cells; hypoglycemic activity, reducing the level of glucose in the blood serum in alimentary glycemia. Besides, the tested herbal remedy has analgesic effect, reducing the amount of «acetic cramps».
The herbal remedy was worked, out representing a dry extract from composition of seven plants: Bidens tripartita L. Gnaphalium uliginosum L.; Calendula officinalis L.; Inula helenium L.; Pentaphylloides fruticosa L.; Hypericum perforatum L.; Vaccinium myrtillus L. The received remedy possesses expressed pancreoprotective, antioxidation activity.
The antioxidant activity of the new pancreoprotective plant preparation Pancreophyt has been studied experimentally on an animal model of acute chloroethane-induced pancreatitis. The flavonoids luteolin-7-glycoside, apigenin, hpyeroside, rutin, vitexin, dihydroquercetin, and quercetin in addition to cinnamic, gallic, caffeic, and cichoric acids were observed in the phytopreparation.
The antioxidant activity of a new pancreoprotective plant preparation Pancreophyt has been experimentally studied on animal model of acute chloroethyl-induced pancreatitis. The flavonoid composition of Pancreophyt has been determined. It is established that this phytopreparation contains luteolin-7-glycoside, apigenin, hyperoside, rutin, vitexin, dihydroquercetin, and quercetin as well as cinnamic, gallic, caffeic, and cichoric acids.
It is established, that complex phytoremedy «Pancreophyt» expresses pancreoprotective activity, reduces activity of pancreatitic enzymes, limits necrosis of acinaric tissue, intensity of infl ammative reaction and reduces hemorrhage zones in acute chloraethyl-induced pancreatitis.
