Consumption of cereals as the predominant dietary source imposes a compounding effect on hidden hunger due to their low micronutrient content as well as availability. Thus, identification and inclusion of crop varieties with greater nutrient content and availability for human consumption is integral to alleviate micronutrient malnutrition. Peanut cultivars were studied for their phytic acid, Ca, Mg, P, K, Fe and Zn content in seeds and their interactions influencing Fe and Zn bioavailability. GG7 recorded highest Fe (0.067 g kg(-1)), Zn (0.069 g kg(-1)) and Mg (3.75 g kg(-1)) while LGN 2, SG 99 and DRG 12 showed highest Ca (0.0633 g kg(-1)), P (5.88 g kg(-1)) and K (7.58 g kg(-1)) contents respectively. Phytic acid content was highest in TMV 2 (27.68 g kg(-1)) and lowest in DRG 12 (7.06 g kg(-1)). Phytic acid was negatively correlated with Mg (-0.497) and K (-0.546), while a positive correlation with Ca (0.427) was recorded. Mg was positively correlated to Fe (0.568) and Zn (0.1), while Zn and P displayed negative correlation (-0.442). The cluster analysis revealed cluster I enlisting cultivars with high Fe, Zn and Mg content having high Zn availability (GG 7, Girnar 2 and DRG 12); whereas, cluster II displayed cultivars with low Fe and Zn availability (TAG 24, JL 24 and TMV 2). Zn and Fe contents are substantially higher in peanuts. The predominance of Mg, K and Ca in kernels further aid in reduced binding of Zn and Fe with phytic acid, thereby improving their availabilities for human consumption to ensure nutritional security.

Sepsis is a time-sensitive medical emergency that can be challenging to recognize in any setting, but especially in prehospital environments. Noninvasive end-tidal CO2 measurement has been shown to correlate with systemic acidosis and thus there is the possibility of a correlation with sepsis. This tool offers a possible route to improve identification and management of this time sensitive condition. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the association between non-invasive end-tidal CO2 in the prehospital setting and a diagnosis of sepsis. If associated, this non-invasive, easily accessible biomarker could be used to improve the reliability and awareness of sepsis diagnosis in the prehospital setting. We performed a single-center, prospective validation study to assess whether prehospital noninvasive, end-tidal CO2 level is associated with a hospital diagnosis of sepsis, based on Sep-3 criteria abstracted from chart review. This study was conducted between February, 2020 and September, 2020 in a large EMS system that serves the City of Atlanta, Georgia. Inclusion criteria were: Atlanta 911 zone Ages 18 years or older Systolic Blood Pressure under 110 mmHg Heart Rate over 90 Respiratory Rate over 20 Exclusion criteria were: Trauma Cardiac Arrest Psychiatric Emergency Pregnancy Toxic Ingestion Not meeting vital sign criteria Unable to link EMS patient to the EMR at Grady Hospital Discharged prior to seeing a provider EMS personnel were trained to obtain a one-time non-invasive end-tidal CO2 value on all patients who screened positive for sepsis using a previously validated clinical screening tool called PRESS (prehospital sepsis). EMS and hospital data were collected by study personnel. A 2-sample t-test and logistic regression were used to evaluate the association between end-tidal CO2 values and a diagnosis of sepsis. Over the course of the study there were 17,397 recorded patient interactions in ESO for Atlanta 911. Only patients transported to Grady Memorial Hospital were analyzed in this study. Of these patients, 279 met inclusion criteria, 110 were excluded, and 169 were included for analysis. To date, data collection is complete in 69% of these records. Preliminary analysis is presented. The median age of enrolled patients was 62 years (interquartile range 53-70 years), 56% were female, and 92% identified as African American. Twenty-three present of patients (n=30) had sepsis, and of those 63% (n=19) had a one-time, noninvasive, end-tidal CO2 value documented. The median EtCO2 value for all patients with a recorded value was 26 mmHg (interquartile range 20-32mmHg). The odds ratio of sepsis with EtCO2 ≤25mmHg was 3.2 (95% confidence interval 0.30 to 34.59 (p-value 0.34). Preliminary analysis for this study does not show a significant difference in prehospital EtCO2 values in patients with and without sepsis. Completion of this analysis will provide a stronger estimate of this biomarker's potential association with sepsis.
A simple and rapid analytical method for determination of iso-amyl-2, cyanoacrylate in pharmaceutical dosage form was developed and validated using gas chromatography (GC).The solutions of standard and the sample were prepared in methylene dichloride.GC separation was performed in about 3.649 min using a 30 m x 0.32 mm I.D. (film thickness 0.25 µm) HP-5 capillary column.Helium was used as carrier gas at a flow-rate of 1 ml min -1 .After injection of the sample at inlet temperature 230 C, the temperature of the GC oven was as follows: initial temperature was 150 C, held for 5min, increased to 200 C at a rate of 50 C min -1 held for 5 min, and finally to 240 C at a rate of 5 C min -1 and held for 3.3 min.Detector temperature is 250 C. 2 µl was injected in splitless mode.Calibration curve was linear between the concentration range 50-150 µg/ml.The method was validated for specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy and limit of quantitation.Also, the method was applied to directly and easily to the analysis of the pharmaceutical dosage form.
Kernel size coupled with the nutritional quality will determine the worth of groundnut for direct consumption or export. Focusing on this objective one hundred and fifty advanced breeding lines (ABLs) in both Spanish and Virginia botanical varieties were evaluated with four checks under Augmented Design during Kharif, 2018 at ICAR- Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh, Gujarat. Significant difference was observed for days to 50% flowering, hundred pod weight (g), hundred kernel weight (g), sound mature kernel (%), shelling percent, pod weight per plant (g), and protein percent. Pod yield per plant (g) registered highest estimates of GCV and PCV. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance as per cent of mean was recorded for 100 pod weight (g), 100 kernel weight (g), sound mature kernel percentage and pod yield per plant (g) traits which indicates a significant role of additive gene action for inheritance of these traits which may be exploited through simple selection methods. Eleven genotypes viz., PBS 19013, PBS 19015, PBS 19018, PBS 29079 B, PBS 29082, PBS 29124, PBS 29167, PBS 29196, PBS 29197, PBS 29212 and PBS 29219 had good confectionery quality traits viz., large seed size (HKW: >55 g; KL: >1.5cm and KW: >0.7cm), high protein (>30%), high total soluble sugar (>5 %), moderate oil (42- 48%), uniform pod size and shape, high pod yield per plant (> 10g) and good shelling percentage (>60%). These promising genotypes can directly be released as a variety after testing in multi-location AICRP-G trials or can be used in hybridization programmes as donor parents for improving confectionery qualities in groundnut.
Eighty four advanced breeding lines of groundnut were evaluated for quality traits with four checks duringsummer, 2019. Three genotypes, PBS 29180, PBS 29067 and PBS 29148 recorded 80.1 g, 76.3 g, and 72.6 g hundred kernel weight, respectively. Protein content was high (33.8%) in PBS 29124 followed by PBS 29082 (32.7%) and PBS 29116 (32.3%). The oil content ranged from 45.0% (PBS 29105) to 53.1 (PBS 19031). Soluble sugar content was high (6.95%) in PBS 29116. Three genotypes viz., PBS 29079B, PBS 29148 and PBS 29180 had desired combination of traits required for confectionery purpose which can be used as donor parents in breeding program or can be released as varieties after further evaluation and validation.

However Energy always required heat, electromotive force and light etc. Now the modernization in science has made it possible we can generate desired energy from other viable alternative resource such as speeding trains which produces tremendous gusts. This can be accomplished by setting the vertical wind turbines along the train track in order to harness the Wind Energy. In India, around 115,00km of train length and around 12,617 trains run daily on tracks so envision how easily wind energy can be used as viable alternative energy resource.

AIM:Chronic constipation can be aetiopathogenically classified into slow transit constipation (STC), rectal evacuation difficulty (RED) or a combination (BOTH). Although the efficacy of percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) in faecal incontinence has been well proved, a current literature search identifies only one study which assessed its effect on constipation. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of PTNS in patients with different causes of constipation. METHOD:Thirty-four patients [30 women, median age 50 (20-79) years] with constipation who had previously failed maximal laxative and biofeedback therapy participated in the study. All patients underwent a baseline radio-opaque marker transit study and anorectal physiology examination. All had 12 sessions of PTNS of 30 min per session. A fall in the Wexner constipation score to ≤15 or by ≥5 points was taken as the primary outcome. Secondary outcomes included the results of pre- and post- PTNS transit and anorectal physiology studies. RESULTS:Eleven patients had STC, 14 had RED and nine had BOTH. A response was seen in four patients (1/11 STC, 2/14 RED and 1/9 BOTH). Comparing pre- and post- PTNS, there was no significant change in the mean Wexner score (P = 0.10). There was no change in colonic transit time among the whole population (P = 0.56) or among those with STC (P = 0.47). There was no improvement in balloon expulsion in the whole group (P = 0.73) or in patients with RED (P = 0.69). CONCLUSION:PTNS is of no benefit to patients with constipation, whatever aetiopathogenic mechanism is responsible for the symptoms.
Thirty-eight cyclic Murrah buffalo in summer (n=20) and winter (n=18) season were subjected to a fixed time artificial insemination (FTAI) protocol. Oxidative stress parameters were assessed on different days of protocol. Season had no impact on pregnancy rate (summer, 25%; winter, 27.8%; pu003e0.05) following FTAI in buffalo. Lipid peroxidation in terms of malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration was higher during summer as well as on the day of AI in summer as well as in winter season (p 0.05) between summer and winter season. In brief, oxidative stress parameters had no conclusive association with pregnancy outcome in buffalo during summer season.
The buffalo subjected to doublesynch protocol in summer (n=20) and winter (n= 25) season were investigated for plasma Zn, Cu, Ca and P at the start of protocol and at AI. The pregnancy rate following protocol was 40% in summer and 48% in winter. In summer, plasma P was low (p 0.05). Plasma Zn, Cu and P were invariably high, both in pregnant and non-pregnant buffalo, at time of AI (p<0.05). In brief, plasma mineral profile was not apparently related to pregnancy outcome following doublesynch protocol in summer and winter season.
