Low blood fluid shear stress (SS) promotes vascular remodeling and atherosclerosis; however, the effects of high (H)SS on vascular remodeling and atherogenesis is not fully clarified. The major goal of this study was to investigate the role of HSS in atherosclerotic plaque formation. A perivascular SS modifier was implanted in the right carotid artery of apolipoprotein E (ApoE)−/− mice to induce HSS, whereas the left carotid artery represented undisturbed (U)SS as a control in vivo. In vitro modeling used human umbilical vein endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells exposed to HSS (2.5 Pa) using a parallel-plate flow system. The results demonstrated that there were no plaque formations or endothelial cells in the HSS regions of the carotid artery in ApoE−/− mice. The number of umbilical vein endothelial cells was markedly decreased in a time-dependent manner in HSS. HSS significantly decreased α-smooth muscle actin and increased osteopontin protein expression levels compared with USS in vascular smooth muscle cells (P<0.05). In addition, HSS significantly increased the protein expression levels of collagen α1(XVIII) chain/endostatin and matrix metalloproteinase-8 in vascular smooth muscle cells. These data indicated that HSS may prevent atherosclerotic plaque formation through endothelium denudation and contractile-to-synthetic phenotypic conversion of smooth muscle cells.
目的 观察瑞舒伐他汀联合普罗布考对老年缺血性脑卒中患者辅助性T细胞(Th17)/调节性T细胞(Treg)细胞轴功能的影响,并分析其作用机制与氧化应激的关系.方法 选择老年缺血性脑卒中患者237例,随机分为对照组、他汀组、联合组各79例.对照组给予常规缺血性脑卒中治疗;他汀组在常规治疗基础上给予瑞舒伐他汀10 mg/d顿服;联合组在常规治疗基础上给予瑞舒伐他汀10 mg/d顿服,并给予普罗布考500 mg、2次/天口服,连续7d.于开始接受口服药物治疗的前1天(基线)及治疗7d后采集患者空腹肘静脉血,采用流式细胞术检测Th17、Treg,实时定量PCR法检测Th17/Treg细胞轴特异性转录因子维甲酸相关孤儿受体γt(RORγt)、抗人叉头状转录因子(Foxp3)mRNA,酶联免疫吸附法检测血浆Th17/Treg细胞轴相关效应因子IL-17、IL-6、IL-10、IL-23、TNF-α及氧化应激指标ox-LDL水平.分析治疗前后Th17比例、Treg比例、Th17/Treg比值、RORγt mRNA表达、Foxp3 mRNA表达及血浆IL-17、IL-6、IL-10、IL-23、TNF-α水平与ox-LDL的相关性.结果 与对照组比较,他汀组和联合组Th17比例下降幅度及Treg比例上升幅度增高,联合组Th17/Treg下降幅度增高.联合组Th17比例下降幅度及Treg比例上升幅度高于他汀组.与对照组比较,他汀组和联合组RORγt mRNA表达降低,Foxp3 mRNA表达升高,联合组RORγt mRNA表达低于他汀组、Foxp3 mRNA表达高于他汀组(P均<0.05).与对照组比较,他汀组和联合组血浆IL-17、IL-23、TNF-α 水平降低,IL-10水平升高(P均<0.05);联合组血浆IL-6水平下降(P<0.05).与他汀组比较,联合组血浆IL-17、IL-23、TNF-α水平降低,IL-10水平升高(P均<0.05).ox-LDL变化值与Th17比例、Th17/Treg比值、RORγt mRNA及血浆IL-17、IL-6、IL-23、TNF-α 变化值呈负相关(r分别为-0.471、-0.367、-0.412、-0.477、-0.332、-0.319、-0.383,P均<0.01),与Treg比例、Foxp3 mRNA、血浆IL-10变化值呈正相关(r分别为0.411、0.396、0.328,P均<0.01).结论 瑞舒伐他汀联合普罗布考能够改善老年缺血性脑卒中患者Th17/Treg细胞轴功能紊乱,抑制氧化应激反应,二者具有协同作用.
Objective:To conduct the integrated management of hospital, community and family for patients with insulin injection at home, in order to explore the influence of this trinity health education model on the knowledge of medical waste and the standard disposal of discarded needles.Methods:The self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the knowledge and disposal of medical waste in outpatients, and the causes were analyzed carefully after the problems were found. The hospital, community and family were timely communicated and fed back to the ward and community. After 1, 3 and 6 months of educational intervention, the disposal of insulin needles, the knowledge of medical waste and the recovery of sharp instrument boxes were observed.Results:After 1, 3 and 6 months of health education, the final rate of insulin needles mixed into domestic waste was 51.8% (144/278), 15.1% (42/278) and 4.7% (13/278), respectively. Compared with the first result of 99.6% (277/278), the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=173.046, 406.136, 502.346, P<0.01); The first survey found that the correct rate of responding to medical waste knowledge items was low. After health education for 1, 3 and 6 months, the correct rate of medical waste related knowledge items was significantly higher than that of the first survey, and the difference was statistically significant ( OR=3.016-3 548.810; 95% CI 2.108-917.869, 4.315-19 777.062; χ2=25.180-524.895; P<0.01) ; After 1, 3 and 6 months of health education, the qualified rate of medical waste knowledge was 82.4% (229/278),75.9% (211/278) and 97.1% (270/278), respectively, which was significantly higher than the first result of 6.5% (18/278). The difference was statistically significant ( χ2=324.328, 273.712, 453.832, P<0.01). The sharp box recovery of hepatitis B patients was relatively good. Conclusion:Hospital-community-family Trinity health education model can improve the breadth and depth of education objects, not only can improve the knowledge of medical waste related to insulin injection patients at home, but also can improve the standardized disposal ability of insulin waste needles. With the passage of time, the effect of health education continues to be good. This integrated health education model is worth popularizing in clinic.
The aim of this study was to investigate the associations between carotid wall shear stress (WSS) and renal function impairment (RFI) and albuminuria in aging adults. A total of 1,447 subjects aged 60 years and older with normal estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR ≥ 60 mL·min −1 ·1.72 m −2 ) and albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR < 30 mg·g −1 ) were enrolled between April 2007 and October 2009 in the Shandong area, China. Carotid WSS was assessed at baseline, and eGFR, which is based on serum creatinine and cystatin C, and ACR were assessed at baseline and at the annual follow-up visits. After an average of 62.9 months of follow-up, the reduction in eGFR and the increase in ACR were significantly higher in the Q 1+2+3 group than the Q 4 group, as classified by either the interquartile of the mean WSS or the interquartile of the peak WSS after adjustment for multi-variabilities, including the average blood pressures at every annual visit and baseline eGFR and ACR. For groups classified by mean WSS, the hazard ratios (95% confidence intervals) were 3.45 (1.36–8.75, p = 0.008) in the incident RFI and 3.24 3.22 (1.37–7.57, p = 0.009) in the incident albuminuria for the Q 1+2+3 group compared with the Q 4 group. Similar results were observed among groups classified by peak WSS. The Q 1+2+3 group was associated with endothelial dysfunction and inflammation with respect to the Q 4 group as classified by mean or peak WSS. The results indicate that carotid WSS plays an important role in RFI and albuminuria progression in aging adults. Lower WSS was associated with a higher risk of RFI and albuminuria compared with higher WSS.
Objective To analyze the relationship between professional identity and humanistic care quality among outpatient nurses and its influencing factors, in order to provide the reference for improving the humanistic care qualify of nurses. Methods By convenience sampling method, 214 outpatient nurses were surveyed by using the general information questionnaire, the nurses' professional identity scale and the nurses' humanistic care scale.Results The average score of humanistic care quality of outpatient nurses was 113.80±17.65, and the average score of professional identity of outpatient nurses was 106.47±22.46. There was a significant positive correlation between the dimension of professional identity of outpatient nurses and the dimension of humanistic care quality (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Humanistic care education, sense of consistency, the patient and organizational influencing level were the main factors affecting the quality of humanistic care of outpatient nurses (all P<0.05). Conclusions The quality of humanistic care of outpatient nurses is at a middle level, and the level of professional identity of outpatient nurses is high. The quality of humanistic care of outpatient nurses was positively correlated with the level of professional identity. The hospital administrators should pay attention and take actions to improve professional identity, in order to improve the level of humanistic care among outpatient nurses.
目的 探讨老年人随访LDL-C变异性与动脉粥样硬化的相关性.方法 选择山东省济南市章丘区合格入选老年人667例,平均随访6年.每次年度随访时检测血浆LDL-C及高敏C反应蛋白(hs-CRP),并计算LDL-C变异性.根据LDL-C标准差三分位(<0.42 mmol/L,0.42~0.63 mmol/L,>0.63 mmol/L)分为低变异性组221例,中变异性组224例和高变异性组222例.颈动脉内膜中层厚度(IMT)及颈股脉搏波传导速度(cfPWV)每2年检测1次.结果 与低变异性组比较,中变异性组及高变异性组颈动脉IMT、cfPWV及hs-CRP变化值明显升高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).与中变异性组比较,高变异性组颈动脉IMT、cfPWV及hs-CRP变化值明显升高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).Pearson相关性分析显示,随访LDL-C变异性与颈动脉IMT、cfPWV及hs-CRP变化值呈正相关(r=0.407,r=0.314,r=0.303,P<0.01).校正混杂因素后,随访LDL-C变异性是颈动脉IMT、cfPWV及hs-CRP升高的独立危险因素(P<0.01).结论 高随访LDL-C变异性是老年人动脉粥样硬化的重要危险因素,并独立于LDL-C水平及调脂治疗.
Cerebral white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) and cognitive impairment are common in elderly hypertensive patients, and more needs to be learned about their prevention and treatment. Our aim was to investigate the effect of low-dose statins on WMH and cognitive function in elderly patients undergoing antihypertensive treatment. A total of 732 elderly hypertensive patients taking hydrochlorothiazide as their baseline medication were randomized using a 2 × 2 factorial design with antihypertensive (telmisartan vs. placebo) and lipid-modulating (low-dose rosuvastatin vs. placebo) arms. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cognitive function data were obtained. After a mean follow-up time of 59.8 (range 12–65) months, there were no differences in WMH progression and cognitive function decline over time between the groups in the antihypertensive arm. The risks of new-incident WMH Fazekas scale scores ≥ 2 and the incidence of cognitive impairment did not differ between the telmisartan and placebo groups. Rosuvastatin use was associated with lower risks of new-incident Fazekas scale scores ≥2 (hazard ratio = 0.500; 95% confidence interval: 0.34–0.74) and cognitive impairment (hazard ratio = 0.54; 95% confidence interval: 0.36–0.80). Telmisartan interacted with rosuvastatin on reducing WMH progression and cognitive function decline. Findings suggest that low-dose rosuvastatin could reduce WMH progression and cognitive function decline in antihypertensive patients, as demonstrated by the interaction between telmisartan and low-dose rosuvastatin to this effect.
Trastuzumab is a molecular targeted drug for Her2-positive breast cancer patients.In this paper,we reported one case of right breast cancer presenting with left ventricular dysfunction after single use of trastuzumab once every 3 weeks.After the second time of use of trastuzumab,she gradually developed breath-lessness which aggravated in a supine position,accompanied with cough,abdominal distension and bilateral lower extremity edema.During hospitalization in the Department of Cardiology,she was diagnosed with left ventricular dysfunction by echocardiography and PET/CT.Before the treatment of trastuzumab,the left ventric-ular ejection fraction (LVEF)of the patient was 0.66 which decreased to 0.29 after usage of trastuzumab.She reported no medical history of hypertension,diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease.Hence,the inci-dence of left ventricular dysfunction was probably correlated with the use of trastuzumab.Left ventricular dys-function was recovered after trastuzumab withdrawal and 40-day symptomatic treatment.The diagnosis and treatment of this case hinted that standard use of medication should be implemented.Adverse events should be intimately monitored according to the manufacturers'instructions to avert the incidence of severe consequences.
Objective To optimize the conditions for quantitatively detecting human serum apolipoprotein B via ellip-sometry protein-chip technique and to evaluate the accuracy of this technique under optimum conditions.Methods In our study,we detected the gray values of solutions containing 0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5 and 0.6 mg/mL anti-ApoB and 200 μg/mL ApoB with ellipsometry protein-chip technique,and the optimum concentration was the one with the highest gray value.We detected the gray values of solutions containing 0.3 mg/mL anti-ApoB and 5,10,20,50,100,200 μg/mL ApoB before and after protein G was added in those solutions until its final concentration was 0.1 mg/mL.By comparing the grey val-ues,we determined whether protein G should be added or not.We detected the grey values of solutions containing 0,5, 10,20,50,100,200 μg/mL ApoB via ellipsometry protein-chip technique under optimum conditions and calculated the difference between them and the gray values of the solutions without ApoB (consisted of anti-ApoB and protein G).Then we analyzed the correlations between the concentrations and the differences by drawing the curve and establishing the equa-tion of it with concentration as X-axis and gray value as Y-axis.At last,we detected the gray values of 16 serum samples diluted 40 times twice through ellipsometry protein-chip technique and immunoturbidimetry under the optimum conditions. Then we calculated the concentrations of ApoB in the samples with the equation and compared them with its practical con-centration.Results The optimum concentration of anti-ApoB was 0.3 mg/mL.The gray values in protein G group were higher than that of the contrast group (all P<0.05).The regression equation was y=-23.116Ln(1 -x/60),R2 =0.936 4 by Maple 9.5 software according to the curve.No significantly statistical difference was found between the ApoB concentra-tions detected via ellipsometry protein-chip technique and 16 cases of serum apoB concernttations (all P>0.05).Conclu-sions The optimal conditions for detection of ApoB in serum under ellipsometry protein-chip technique are anti-ApoB with the concentration of 0.3 mg/mL and protein G with the concentration of 0.1 mg/mL.The accuracy of the technique under such conditions is reliable.
Myocardial infarction (MI) is defined as the deprivation of the myocardial tissue of oxygen and nutrients, resulting in the induction of inflammation and apoptosis of the cardiomyocytes. Poly (ADP‑ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1) is a nuclear enzyme closely associated with MI, that can be activated by DNA damage. Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) is a critical enzyme among the inflammatory cytokines. The present study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanism of the protective effects of PARP1 and iNOS inhibitor against MI, in rats. A total of 40 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups. The rats were anesthetized with sodium pentobarbital (50 mg/kg), and the left anterior descending coronary artery was occluded by ligation, using a 6‑0 polypropylene monofilament suture, at the left atrial apex, in order to induce MI. The rats from each group received an abdominal injection of either dimethylsulfoxide (100 µl, for MI group); PARP‑1 inhibitor, 3,4‑dihydro‑5‑[4‑(1‑piperidinyl)butoxy]‑1(2H)‑ isoquinolinone (DPQ; 10 mg/kg); or iNOS inhibitor, N‑(1‑naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride (1400W; 10 mg/kg). The hearts were harvested from the rats after four weeks. Inhibition of PARP and iNOS activity improved heart function, as determined by serial echocardiography. The rate of apoptosis, as determined by a terminal deoxynucleotidyl‑transferase‑mediated dUTP nick end labeling assay, was reduced by 39.71 and 39.00% in the DPQ and 1400W groups, respectively, and this was accompanied by the downregulated expression of cleaved caspase‑3 and PARP1. Effective inhibition of PARP and iNOS, by DPQ and 1400W, was detected by western blotting and immunofluorescence, and was shown to repress O2‑ and nitrotyrosine levels, following MI. The present study confirmed that inhibition of PARP1 and iNOS was able to protect against ischemic myocardial damage, by reducing the levels of apoptosis.
Background: Plasma von Willebrand factor (vWF), a key player in hemostasis and thrombosis, is released from endothelial cells during inflammation. Hypertension, a progressing in chronic inflammation and cardiovascular syndrome with various causes, results in functional and structural changes of heart and arterial vessels. However little information is available on LA changes during hypertension. Left atrial (LA) enlargement is associated with significant cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between LA enlargement and thromboembolic risk in essential hypertensive patients with Af without any signs of clinical thrombotic disease or previous stroke. Methods: The relationship between Plasma vWF, ADAMTS13 and left atrial diameter (LAD), left atrial volume (LAV), left atrial volume index (LAVi) were evaluated in essential hypertensive group included 105 patients (55 patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF) and 50 patients with normal sinus rhythm (NSR)). Results: The study demonstrated that vWF, vWF/ADAMT13, LAD, LAV and LAVi were increased significantly (P < 0.01) but ADAMTS13: Ag was decreased significantly (P < 0.01) in the hypertensive with AF group compared with NSR group. Conclusion: vWF/ADAMTS13 were positively correlated with LAD, LAV and LAVi (P < 0.01). Increased vWF and vWF/ADAMTS13 is associated with LAD, LAV and LAVi in essential hypertension. The study suggests it played a positive role of vWF and vWF/ADAMTS13 in the progressing major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in essential hypertensive patients with LA enlargement.
This aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of dexmedetomidine (DEX) on the intraoperative monitoring of somatosensory-evoked potentials (SEPs) and motor-evoked potentials (MEPs) in patients undergoing spinal surgery. A total of 36 patients who received spinal surgery under general anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups (n=18 per group), group C, the test group and group D, the control group, and these groups were subjected to a matching anesthesia induction. In brief, the anesthesia was administered via injection of etomidate and fentanyl; once the patients were unconscious, a laryngeal mask airway (LMA) was inserted, SEPs and MEPs were monitored and the collected data were considered to be basic data. Cisatracurium was subsequently injected and an endotracheal tube (7#) was inserted to replace the LMA. The following procedures were conducted for anesthesia maintenance: Group C, the anesthesia was maintained via target-controlled infusion of etomidate and intermittent injection of fentanyl; and group D, DEX (0.5 μg/kg) was injected over a duration of 10 min and then pumped at a rate of 0.5 μg/kg/h. In the two groups, all of the other drugs used were the same and a muscle relaxant was not administered. The bispectral index was maintained between 45 and 55 during surgery, and the SEPs and MEPs were monitored continuously until the surgery was completed. No significant difference in duration and amplitude of the SEPs (P15-N20) was identified between group C and D (P>0.05). Furthermore, the MEPs were monitored in the two groups at specific durations and no significant difference was observed between the two groups (P>0.05). The SEPs and MEPs were maintained in the patients who were administered with the DEX-etomidate-fentanyl combined anesthesia during spinal surgery.
目的 分析食管癌术后肠内营养的临床意义及护理要点.方法 食管癌患者术中经鼻放置十二指肠营养管,术后将营养液经十二指肠营养管直接滴入肠腔.结果 病人均能耐受经鼻留置十二指肠营养管,行肠内营养能满足患者的营养需要量,可减少静脉输液量和卧床输液时间.结论 食管癌术中放置十二指肠营养管行肠内营养,能很快纠正机体的负氮平衡状态,明显改善患者营养,并具方法简单、安全、并发症少且费用低廉,病人耐受性好,既满足了食管癌术后患者的营养需要量,又减轻了患者的负担,具有良好的社会经济效益.
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationships between the inhibition by hydroxylsafflor yellow A (HSYA) of the ox-LDL-stimulated proliferation of rat vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) and the mRNA transcriptions as well as protein expressions of signaling molecules extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) and mitogen-activated protein kinase phospatase-1 (MKP-1). METHODS: VSMC were co-incubated with HSYA 10 μmol·L-1 + ox-LDL 35 mg·L-1 for 48 h. Cell viability was assessed by the MTT assay. Cell cycle of VSMC was determined through flow cytometry (FCM). The mRNA transcriptional level and protein expression of ERK1/2 and MKP-1 were detected by means of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot analysis, respectively. RESULTS: Compared with ox-LDL 35 mg·L-1 model group, the survival rate significantly decreased, ratio of cells in G0/G1 phase increased, ERK1 mRNA and p-ERK1/2 expression decreased by 42.2% and 39.9% (P < 0.01), respectively, and the mRNA transcription and protein expression of MKP-1 increased by 86.9% and 80.6% (P <0. 01), respectively in HSYA 10 μmol·L-1 group. PD98059 10 μmol·L-1 significantly decreased survival rate by 58.3% (P < 0.01), increased the ratio of cells in G 0/G1 phase by 75.0% (P < 0.01), decreased ERK1 mRNA expression by 45.9% (P < 0.01) and p-ERK1/2 expression by 45.9% (P < 0.01). In HSYA 10 μmol·L-1 + PD98059 10 μmol·L-1 group, the survival rate decreased by 61.9% (P < 0.01), the ratio of cells in G0/G1 phase significantly increased (P < 0.01), ERK1 mRNA and ERK1/2 protein expressions reduced by 79.1% (P < 0.01) and 51.2% (P < 0.01), respectively, as well as expressions of MKP-1mRNA and protein increased by 110% and 62.4% (P < 0.01), respectively. CONCLUSION: HSYA inhibits ox-LDL-stimulated VSMC proliferation through increasing in MKP-1 expression, decreasing in ERK1/2 and suppressing the cell cycle progression.
Objective To evaluate the effect of small interference RNA(siRNA) on Cystatin C in human vascular smooth muscle cells and its effect on expression of Cathepsin S.Methods siRNA targeting Cystatin C was constructed by an online design of Ambion company and transfected into human vascular smooth muscle cells.The non-transfected cells and cells treated with the control siRNA served as controls.mRNA and protein expressions of Cystatin C were detected by RT-PCR and Western blot respectively.Compared with the non-transfected cells,cells treated with control siRNA and cells highly expressing Cystatin C,the mRNA and protein expressions of Cathepsin S in cells treated with control siRNA whose interfering rate was the highest were detected by RT-PCR and Western blot respectively.Results At 24-hour post-transfection,mRNA and protein expressions of Cystatin C were efficiently inhibited in siRNA treated cells compared with the control cells(P0.01),especially in siRNA2 treated cells.mRNA and protein expressions of Cathepsin S were significantly increased in the siRNA treated group compared with the other three groups(P0.01).Conclution siRNA in vitro transcription can inhibit Cystatin C gene expression in human vascular smooth muscle cells,which may effect expression of Cathepsin S.
Aim To clone human Cystatin C gene and construct its eukaryotic expression vector to observe the expression in the human vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC). Methods Cystatin C gene was obtained from human endothelial cells by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Molecular cloning technique was used to construct this kind of eukaryotic expression vector. pCDNA3.1-Cystatin C was identified by restriction enzyme and PCR. Using liposome-mediated transfection, the eukaryotic expression vector pCDNA3.1-Cystatin C was transfected into human VSMC and proved by RT-PCR and Western blot. Results The eukaryotic expression vector pCDNA3.1-Cystatin C was constructed correctly and was highly expressed in human VSMC. Conclusion Cystatin C was cloned successfully, its eukaryotic expression vector was constructed correctly and was expressed highly in human VSMC.
1 病例介绍 患者,男,54岁,因"突发喘憋、发绀9小时余"于2005-03-17 9:30入院.患者于9 h前睡眠中突发喘憋、发绀,伴心慌、心前区疼痛,呼吸急促,大汗淋漓,伴咳嗽,咯痰,痰呈淡黄色,急来我院急诊科就诊,心电图示下壁T波倒置,拟诊"冠心病、心力衰竭",给予扩冠、强心、利尿等药物治疗,症状无明显改善,患者仍持续性喘憋,发绀加重,考虑"肺栓塞",为求进一步诊治,收住我科.既往有冠心病、高血压病史10余年.否认有头孢类抗生素过敏史.查体:T 37.3℃,P 102次/min,R 24次/min,BP 150/90 mmHg,口唇发绀,双肺呼吸音粗,双肺可闻及哮鸣音及少许湿口罗音.
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of antioxidant probucol therapy in the prevention of restenosis in senile patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods Sixty-two patients were randomly assigned to probucol group(32 cases) and control(30 cases).Effects of probucol on the minimal lumen diameter, luminal net gain and restenosis rate of dilated coronary arteries were observed through coronary angiography.Serum oxLDL, MDA, NO and ET levels were determined before PCI and six months after PCI.Results At follow-up angiography six months after PCI,it was found that the minimal lumen diameter and lumimal net gain were significantly increased in probucol group as compared with those in control[(2.2±0.7) mm vs (1.4±0.3) mm, P0.05;(1.8± 0.4) mm vs (0.9±0.2) mm, P0.0l, respectively],and restenosis rate was markedly reduced to 20.2% in probucol group as compared with 40.0% in control (P 0.05). Serum levels of oxLDL and MDA in probucol group were significantly lower than those in control [( 0.381±0.08) mg/L vs (0.705±0.16) mg/L, P0.01;(6.20±0.57) nmol/L vs (18.62±2.13) nmol/L, P0.01,respectively].Conclusion Antioxidant probucol is able to reduce restenosis rate six months after PCI.
