The perpendicular and parallel moments of inertia are calculated as a function of the temperature by taking into account the isovector pairing. The used single-particles energies are those of a deformed Woods-Saxon mean-field. The obtained results are compared to their homologues of the conventional Finite Temperature BCS (FTBCS) theory. With this aim, the generalized gap equations have been solved for even-even heated deformed nuclei such as Z = 30 – 38 and N – Z = 0, 2, 4. The isovector pairing effect leads to a change in the behavior of the perpendicular and parallel moments of inertia. Moreover, there is a non-negligible discrepancy between the perpendicular and parallel moments of inertia values calculated within the two models when T < Tcnp (Tcnp being the critical temperature beyond which the neutron-proton (np) gap parameter vanishes). Beyond this temperature, a discrepancy between the two models persists. It is due to the shift of the critical temperatures of the proton (Tcpp) and neutron (Tcnn) systems when evaluated with and without inclusion of the isovector pairing effect.
Expressions of the thermodynamical quantities, i.e. the energy E, the entropy S and the heat capacity C are established by including the isovector neutron-proton (np) pairing effect. They are deduced using temperature-dependent gap equations . E, S and C are numerically studied as a function of the temperature for some even-even proton-rich nuclei. The single-particle energies used are those of a Woods-Saxon deformed mean field. It is shown that the isovector pairing effect on E, S and C is non-negligible, not only in the 0 ≤ T ≤ Tcnp region (Tcnp being the critical temperature beyond which the np pairing vanishes), but also in the Tcnp ≤ T ≤ Tcn region (Tcn being the neutron-system critical temperature).
Expressions of temperature-dependent perpendicular (ℑ ⊥ ) and parallel (ℑ ‖ ) moments of inertia, including isovector pairing effects, have been established using the cranking method. They are derived from recently proposed temperature-dependent gap equations. The obtained expressions generalize the conventional finite-temperature BCS (FTBCS) ones. Numerical calculations have been carried out within the framework of the schematic Richardson model as well as for nuclei such as N = Z, using the single-particle energies and eigenstates of a deformed Woods–Saxon mean-field. ℑ ⊥ and ℑ ‖ have been studied as a function of the temperature. It has been shown that the isovector pairing effect on both the perpendicular and parallel moments of inertia is non-negligible at finite temperature. These correlations must thus be taking into account in studies of warm rotating nuclei in the N ≃ Z region.
The influence of the isovector neutron–proton (np) pairing effect on nuclear statistical quantities is studied in N ≈ Z even–even systems. Expressions of the energy, the entropy, and the heat capacity are established using a recently proposed temperature-dependent isovector pairing gap equations. They generalize the conventional finite temperature BCS (FTBCS) ones. The model is first numerically tested using the schematic one-level model. As a second step, realistic cases are considered using the single-particle energies of a deformed Woods–Saxon mean-field. It is shown that: (i) the gap parameter Δnp(T) behaves like Δtt(T), t = n, p, in the conventional FTBCS model and the critical temperature value Tcnp is such as Tcnpcpcn; (ii) the behavior of Δtt(T), t = n, p in the present model is different from that of the FTBCS one. This fact leads to a systematic discrepancy between the predictions of both models in the Tcnpcn region for all studied statistical quantities; and (iii) in the 0≤T≤Tcnp region, the np pairing effect on the energy is a lowering of about 1%, on average, for all considered nuclei. Dealing with the entropy and the heat capacity, the np pairing effect appears only if the Tcnp value is sufficiently important.
Temperature-dependent isovector neutron-proton (np) pairing gap equations have been established by means of the path integral approach. These equations generalize the BCS ones for the pairing between like particles at finite temperature. The method has been numerically tested using the one-level model. It has been shown that the gap parameter Delta(np) has a behavior analogous to that of Delta(nn) and Delta(pp) as a function of the temperature: one notes the presence of a critical temperature. Moreover, it has been shown that the isovector pairing effects remain beyond the critical temperature that corresponds to the pairing between like particles.

A right isthmo-lobectomy was undertaken for compres- sive goiter. The patient died 2 months later.
Spiculated reactive periosteal bone is usually found in cases of primary malignant bone tumors; rarely in secondary bone lesions. The authors report a case of bone tumor of the clavicle in a 62 year-old patient with "sunburst " periosteal reaction on radiographs. The metastatic nature of this lesion from an unknown prostate carcinoma was confirmed by immunohistochemical studies of the clavicle biopsy. Tumorectomy was performed and the patient's status is stable with a follow-up of 10 months.
The development of cancer on the ileal graft after augmentation ileocystoplasty benign bladder disease is a little known complication. The authors report a case of squamous cell carcinoma in the ileal bladder occurring 31 years after augmentation ileocystoplasty for tuberculous bladder, in a 60-year-old patient. The ileal bladder was resected and a new augmentation ileocystoplasty was performed. The postoperative course was uneventful. Histological examination of the operative specimen showed infiltration of all of the intestinal wall. The patient died one year after, in a context of peritoneal carcinomatosis.
Les goitres ovariens sont des tumeurs rares, la forme maligne est exceptionnelle. Les criteres de malignite se heurtent aux memes incertitudes rencontrees en presence des tumeurs de la glande thyroidienne. Nous rapportons le cas d'une patiente âgee de 60 ans chez qui une echographie, motivee par des douleurs pelviennes, a decouvert une masse de 14 cm de grand axe et de structure mixte. Devant le doute de malignite de la composante thyroidienne a l'etude anatomopato-logique en extemporane, une hystero-ovariectomie bilaterale avec omentectomie ont ete realisees. La patiente est suivie regulierement sans signe de recidive avec un recul de 12 mois.
Le leiomyosarcome primitif du vagin est une tumeur exceptionnelle. Son traitement n'est pas clairement codifie. Les auteurs rapportent 3 observations de leiomyosarcome primitif du vagin colligees a l'Institut National d'Oncologie (INO), Rabat. A la lumiere d'une revue de la litterature, ils precisent, que seule la chirurgie radicale est capable d'ameliorer le controle local, que l'exerese large associee a une radiotherapie peut etre une alternative pour des cas bien selectionnes alors que l'enucleation n'a pas de place dans le traitement de ces tumeurs.
Primary sarcomas of the kidney are exceptional, representing 1 to 3% of all renal tumours in adults. They have a poor prognosis. The authors report a case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the kidney in a 44-year old patient, presenting in the form of low back pain and haematuria. Treatment consisted of radical nephrectomy. Two months later, the patient presented with hepatic metastases. The patient is currently receiving chemotherapy.
