The Tellerman experimental forestry of the Institute of Forest Science, Russian Academy of Sciences, located in the southeast of Voronezh Oblast, has a long history. It was established on the initiative of Academician V. N. Sukachev in 1944 as a place to conduct complex long-term studies in broad-leaved forests on the border between forest-steppe and steppe. For almost 80 years specialists of different profiles worked in the territory of the forest area: foresters, geobotanists, soil scientists, zoologists, microbiologists, entomologists, phytopathologists. Extensive studies was carried out on the hydrology of the massif and water regime of stands, the environment-forming role of the forest, phytomass reserves were determined, productivity of stands in different forest types was determined, and a cycle of silvicultural experiments was established. The comprehensive study of biogeocenoses also included root systems, phenological, geobotanical, zoological, entomological, microbiological and mycological studies. The scientific basis for the establishment of pedunculate oak (Quercus roburL.) crops in the forest-steppe was developed, taking into account its form diversity and the results of silvicultural experiments laid down in the first decades of the forest region’s existence. The study of silvicultural aspects of oak stands degradation allowed us to develop practical methods of reproduction of oak forests on clear cuts of stands mixed with oak by sowing acorns with a shortened period of thinning.
This paper presents a review of publications on the relationship between phyllophagous insects and the forest communities in the current ecological situation, when ongoing climate changes, manifested primarily in an increase in the air temperature and a change in the precipitation amount and distribution, affect all processes in natural communities. Changes in the ranges of many plants and animal species are observed moving up northwards and up in altitude. The spring phenophases come earlier, the autumn ones come later, the vegetation period lengthens, and the biomass of terrestrial plants increases. Such phenomena, together with changes in climatic parameters, affect herbivorous animals, which include insects with various food specializations and different life cycles. As before, despite the growing number of observations in different parts of the earth, there remains a lot of uncertainty about how individual plant and insect species and their functional groups function under the changing external conditions. It is emphasized that it is necessary to continue long-term studies in specific natural conditions in order to more accurately determine the reaction of the participants in the interactions to local climate changes and understand what the forestry strategy should be in the current and the situation predicted for the future.

The number of programs and technologies submitted for the contest demonstrates the place and role of correctional, developmental, preventive and educational work of educational psychologists.
The paper differentiates two approaches to digitalization of the educational practice: the digital-algorithmic approach and the digital-cognitive approach. The digital-algorithmic approach puts in correspondence pupil’s answer with described and established rules and operations to achieve “correct” responses. Application of the first approach forces students to guess right operation sequence to find the right solution. The digital-cognitive approach provides a background for modeling, visualizing and making representation of thinking acts and action for school students and teacher. Realization of the second approach aims to organize the digital educational milieu of the new generation. This the digital educational milieu supports and stimulates student work to find types of operations, the operation set and the operation sequence according to student’s understanding of the problem and grasping the situation. The model of the thinking act that is elaborated by Vasiliy Davydov as the “cell” for the interdisciplinary theory of thought processes is considered to be the core for constructing a digital educational milieu of the new generation. Described forms of thinking act with increasing complexity provides organization of digital-cognitive systems in education.
November 17, 2021 marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of Lev Semenovich Vygotsky, a brilliant scientist who created something more than a new approach in domestic and world psychology. In the system of concepts of cultural and historical theory, L.S. Vygotsky, in fact, was given a special way of thinking that allows us to reveal the sources of origin, the historical logic of the development of specifically human in man. This way of thinking makes fundamental adjustments to the image of a person that is created by the combined efforts of the entire complex of sciences about him, and not just psychology. Vladimir Petrovich Zinchenko, the first editor-in-chief of the journal "Cultural and Historical Psychology" (this year he would have turned 90 years old), liked to repeat that two psychologists of the XX century - Zh. Piaget and L.S. Vygotsky have reserved a place in the XXI century. Indeed, both of them brought their own view and a special way of thinking to the science of man, which go beyond the limits of known scientific descriptions.

The annual contest for the best psychological and pedagogical programs and technologies in the educational environment is a practical program aimed at improving the professional level and the most complete realization of the creative potential of the educational psychologists in Russia. Based on the criteria of activity and cultural-historical approaches, the analysis of the experience of implementing regional programs for providing psychological and pedagogical assistance to children is aimed at improving the methodological support for psychological and pedagogical activities. The programs and technologies recommended according to the results of the competition demonstrate the place and role of correctional and developmental, preventive, and educational work of teachers-psychologists, as well as the experience of developing interdisciplinary interaction of specialists in the process of psychological and pedagogical support of education.
In 2020 the scientific communities in Russia and around the world celebrate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Vasily V. Davydov, professor, member of the Russian Academy of Education, an outstanding researcher who worked within the framework of cultural-historical psychology and activity theory and created his own system of developmental learning. The journal Psychological Science and Education marks this anniversary with two topical issues that explore the current state and future research perspectives of V.V. Davydov’s scientific school. The materials published in these issues present outcomes of various research works carried out by Davydov’s closest disciples and followers. The deep and pressing problems raised in these works prove that a wide discussion of the key ideas and concepts of professor Davydov’s school of thought still determines the search for effective mechanisms and conditions of child development in teaching/learning that promote the abilities that allow one to live and act in the face of new risks and social transformations.
Н. Сукачевым. A brief history of the creation of the Tellerman Experimental Forestry of the Institute of Forest Science Russian Academy of Sciences, an overview of the main branches of scientific research carried out in it since its development (1944) to the present are given. The main stages of scientific research in Tellerman forestry are characterized. The hydrology of the massif and the water regime of forest plantations, the environment-forming role of the forest were studied, the phytomass reserves, mineral composition, productivity, energy balance of biogeocenoses were determined, and a series of silvicultural experiments was performed. A comprehensive study of biogeocenoses also included investigations of root systems, phenological, geobotanical, zoological, microbiological, phytopathological and mycological studies. Currently, much attention is paid to the problem of studying the adaptation of oak forests to unfavorable external factors, including ongoing changes in the climatic situation and an increase of anthropogenic pressure, learning how to form and sustainably develop forest phytocenoses ensuring the preservation and enhancement of the social and protective role of forests, organizing long-term monitoring. and protection of forest-steppe oak forests. The results of 60-year experiments on the effect of thinning on the stability and productivity of oak forests have been summed up. The dynamics and causes of oak forests degradation occurring in the forest-steppe zone, where there is a gradual replacement of oak by much less valuable tree species, primarily ash, linden, maples, are studied. This negative trend may be stopped only by the rational management of forestry and the timely creation of oak forest cultures. The peculiarities of biocenotic relationships of phytophagous insects with host plants in modern environmental conditions are analyzed. Along with other areas of scientific activity in in forestry, a complete inventory of the diversity of dendrotrophic mycobiota and phytopathological monitoring of forest ecosystems are becoming important in the modern period. The continuation of lichenological studies on the territory of forest is planned in several directions, including the further study of the diversity of lichen biota, features of the substrate and cenotic distribution.
— Modern climate characteristics have a strong impact on plants, insects, and biogeocoenotic relations among them. This is unambiguously supported by multiple studies worldwide, the reports of which are briefly reviewed in the present article. Most of the authors agree that air temperature is the most important factor directly affecting the development and population level of insects. Ranges of plant and insect species are shifting northwards and to higher altitudes. Phenological phases come ahead of time in spring and later in fall, which results in longer growth season. Time-series analysis and trends in five major weather elements in the southern forest-steppe zone in Voronezh oblast have revealed the weakening of climate continentality, increased precipitation over the growth period, and a higher frequency of extreme weather events. Additionally, the study detected changes in the population-level dynamics of insects, specifically, the gypsy moth, the green oak leaf roller, and the winter moth, which commonly occur on this plot, and the disturbance in their relations with host plants. The harmfulness of some species declines, while that of other species rises. Modeling allows one to predict some consequences of the direct effects of climate change on relationships between phyllophagous insects and their host plants. Delayed consequences associated with indirect climatic forcing are hard to predict. They will depend on the character of climate change and on response of plants and insects driven by their adaptation mechanisms.
A brief analysis of the issues of entomological investigations in forest stands of the Institute of Forest Science Russian Academy of Sciences (IFS RAS) has been carried out. In the process of long-term stationary studies, the features of the population dynamics of the main species of phyllophagous insects, their impact on the health condition of oak trees of various phenological forms and on plantings in general against the background of climatic changes, as well as the consortive relations of xylophilous insects with their host plants were studied using the example of bark beetles. In long time period specialists of the institute studied insects in forest stations of Moscow, Voronezh and Volgograd regions. Articles by Gruntal S. Yu., Korolkova G. E., Moravskaya A. S., Lindeman G. V., Rafes P. M. and Rubtsova N. N. focus on the study of insects, as components of ecological communities. The bark beetles are one of the most serious threats to the forest of European part of Russia. A detailed study of the biological characteristics of the feeding of beetles and their pogeny, the population dynamics of certain species of bark beetles, and the mortality factors of progeny was carried out in forest stations of IFS RAS. The processes of bark beetles spread in recent decades due to climate change have been characterized. The study of the patterns of formation of aggressive associative complexes of bark beetles with pathogenic microorganisms is the most urgent task for prospective studies at forest research stations of the IFS RAS.
