Purpose:Mental health services for perinatal depression remain underutilized in China. This study examined awareness, attitudes, and help-seeking intentions regarding perinatal depression among women from different ethnic groups in rural western China. Patients and Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted in Yunnan Province in May 2022 among pregnant women and women within one year postpartum. Perinatal depressive symptoms were assessed using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS; cutoff ≥9), and social support was measured using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Help-seeking intention outcomes included willingness to seek help for depression if needed, willingness to seek support from non-professionals, and willingness to seek professional help. Chi-square tests, Fisher's exact tests, and multiple logistic regression models were used. Results:Of 1,217 participants, 1,152 were included in the final analysis, comprising 464 Han women (40.28%), 498 Zhuang women (43.23%), and 190 women from other ethnic minority groups (16.49%). Overall, 12.67% had perinatal depressive symptoms and 13.89% reported negative emotions lasting more than two weeks, among these women, only 4.38% had used mental health services. Additionally, 26.91% had never heard of depression, 49.57% were unaware of available treatments, and 55.21% did not know where to seek treatment. Factors associated with help-seeking intentions varied across ethnic groups: among Han women, belief in the preventability and curability of depression was associated with greater willingness to seek professional help (OR=2.679, 95% CI: 1.329-5.401); among Zhuang women, stronger family support was associated with greater overall help-seeking intention (OR=2.660, 95% CI: 1.087-6.508); among other ethnic minority women, salaried employment was associated with lower overall help-seeking intention (OR=0.044, 95% CI: 0.005-0.403). Conclusion:Women from different ethnic groups in rural western China had limited awareness of perinatal depression and mental health services. Targeted education and supportive interventions, particularly for ethnic minority women, are needed to improve mental health literacy and help-seeking.
Carbonate-hosted clay-type lithium deposits have emerged as strategic resources critical to the global energy transition, yet their exploration faces the dual challenges of technical complexity and environmental sustainability. Traditional methods often entail extensive land disruption, particularly in ecologically sensitive ecosystems where vegetation coverage and weathered layers hinder mineral detection. This study presents a case study of the San Dan lithium deposit in central Yunnan, where we propose a hierarchical anomaly extraction and multidimensional weighted comprehensive analysis. This comprehensive method integrates multi-source data from GF-3 QPSI SAR, GF-5B hyperspectral, and Landsat-8 OLI datasets and is structured around two core parts, as follows: (1) Hierarchical Anomaly Extraction: Utilizing principal component analysis, this part extracts hydroxyl and iron-stained alteration anomalies. It further employs the spectral hourglass technique for the precise identification of lithium-rich minerals, such as montmorillonite and illite. Additionally, concealed structures are extracted using azimuth filtering and structural detection in radar remote sensing. (2) Multidimensional Weighted Comprehensive Analysis: This module applies reclassification, kernel density analysis, and normalization preprocessing to five informational layers—hydroxyl, iron staining, minerals, lithology, and structure. Dynamic weighting, informed by expert experience and experimental adjustments using the weighted weight-of-evidence method, delineates graded target areas. Three priority target areas were identified, with field validation conducted in the most promising area revealing Li2O contents ranging from 0.10% to 0.22%. This technical system, through the collaborative interpretation of multi-source data and quantitative decision-making processes, provides robust support for exploring carbonate-clay-type lithium deposits in central Yunnan. By promoting efficient, data-driven exploration and minimizing environmental disruption, it ensures that lithium extraction meets the growing demand while preserving ecological integrity, setting a benchmark for the sustainable exploration of clay-type lithium deposits worldwide.
ObjectiveThis study aimed to develop and validate a model for predicting extrauterine growth restriction (EUGR) in preterm infants born ≤34 weeks gestation.MethodsPreterm infants from Guangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital (2019–2021) were randomly divided into training (80%) and testing (20%) sets. Collinear clinical variables were excluded using Pearson correlation coefficients. Predictive factors were identified using Lasso regression. Random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), and logistic regression (LR) models were then built and evaluated using the confusion matrix, area under the curve (AUC), and the F1 score. Additionally, calibration curves and decision curve analysis (DCA) were plotted to assess the performance and practical utility of the models.ResultsThe study included 387 infants, with no significant baseline differences between training (n = 310) and testing (n = 77) sets. LR identified gestational age, birth weight, premature rupture of membranes, patent ductus arteriosus, cholestasis, and neonatal sepsis as key EUGR predictors. The RF model (19 variables) demonstrated an accuracy of greater than 90% during training, and superior AUC (0.62), F1 score (0.80), and accuracy (0.72) in testing compared to other models.ConclusionsGestational age, birth weight, premature rupture of membranes, patent ductus arteriosus, cholestasis, and neonatal sepsis are significant EUGR predictors in preterm infants ≤34 weeks. The model shows promise for early EUGR prediction in clinical practice, potentially enhancing screening efficiency and accuracy, thus saving medical resources.
The ecological environment is closely related to natural conditions, climate change, and human activities. However, existing research predominantly concentrates on evaluating the direct impacts of various factors on the ecological environment, yet lacks an in-depth exploration of their causal relationships and pathways. This paper introduces a new perspective to research in this field by incorporating spatial cross-sectional data analysis methods. The study utilized the 2020 China’s High-resolution Eco-Environmental Quality (CHEQ) dataset to evaluate the spatial differentiation characteristics of Ecological Environmental Quality (EEQ) within the western urban agglomeration of Guangdong Province. A framework of “terrain-urbanization-climate” influencing factors was constructed, and the Geographical convergent cross mapping (GCCM) method was employed to infer the causal relationship between EEQ and influencing factors. Additionally, the spatial distribution characteristics of influencing factors on ecological environment quality were studied using the Multiscale Geographically Weighted Regression Model (MGWR). The results indicate that seven influencing factors including Elevation, Population, Precipitation, TEMP, TMMX, TMMN, and Slope have clear causal relationships with EEQ and exhibit bidirectional coupling relationships. There exist complex causal relationships among influencing factors, revealing the interaction mechanisms and causal pathways among multiple factors in the ecological environment system. These analyses enrich our understanding of the intricate and complex relationships between the ecological environment and influencing factors, providing a valuable reference for ecological protection and sustainable development.
OBJECTIVES:To investigate the difference in intestinal microbiota between preterm infants with neurodevelopmental impairment (NDI) and those without NDI.METHODS:In this prospective cohort study, the preterm infants who were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from September 1, 2019 to September 30, 2021 were enrolled as subjects. According to the assessment results of Gesell Developmental Scale at the corrected gestational age of 1.5-2 years, they were divided into two groups: normal (n=115) and NDI (n=100). Fecal samples were collected one day before discharge, one day before introducing solid food, and at the corrected gestational age of 1 year. High-throughput sequencing was used to compare the composition of intestinal microbiota between groups.RESULTS:Compared with the normal group, the NDI group had a significantly higher Shannon diversity index at the corrected gestational age of 1 year (P<0.05). The principal coordinate analysis showed a significant difference in the composition of intestinal microbiota between the two groups one day before introducing solid food and at the corrected gestational age of 1 year (P<0.05). Compared with the normal group, the NDI group had a significantly higher abundance of Bifidobacterium in the intestine at all three time points, a significantly higher abundance of Enterococcus one day before introducing solid food and at the corrected gestational age of 1 year, and a significantly lower abundance of Akkermansia one day before introducing solid food (P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:There are significant differences in the composition of intestinal microbiota between preterm infants with NDI and those without NDI. This study enriches the data on the characteristics of intestinal microbiota in preterm infants with NDI and provides reference for the microbiota therapy and intervention for NDI in preterm infants.
Cotton harvest can be increased by having real-time information on the state of cotton aphid populations. However, traditional cotton aphid monitoring relies on ground sample methods supported by models such as linear regression, resulting in low forecast accuracy. Therefore, this paper purposes to enhance the precision of the remote sensing prediction model by investigating the cotton aphid prediction model construction approach. We explored the effectiveness of the XGBoost algorithm combined with the GWO algorithm and SVR method for cotton aphid prediction relying on vegetation indices derived from UAV multispectral photography. Originally, 12 indices related to cotton aphids were calculated by UAV multispectral reflectance. Additionally, the optimal index combination for pest prediction was determined utilizing analysis of correction and two-way ANOVA, combined with the XGBoost algorithm. Furthermore, a pest prevalence prediction model for cotton aphids was constructed via the SVR methodology associated with the optimal catalog combination, and the model was optimized using the GWO algorithm. Compared with the seven algorithms, experimental results demonstrate that the MSE and MAE of the XGBoost-GWO-SVR model are reduced by 90.20% and 70.36% (SVR), 90.14% and 70.26% (XGBoost-SVR), 7.47% and 0.14% (XGBoost-GA-SVR), 5.80% and 0.11% (XGBoost-PSO-SVR), 12.06% and 58.95% (LR), and 84.77% and 89.22% (BPNN), whereas the $R^{2}$ is increased by 22.5% (SVR and XGBoost-SVR), 0.3% (LR), and 12.51% (BPNN). The $R^{2}$ of the prediction model of XGBoost-SVR combined with GWO, PSO, and GA is not significantly different. Among these models, the XGBoost-GWO-SVR obtained the highest $R^{2}$ of 0.980 and the lowest MAE of 2.838.
Objective:To investigate the clinical outcomes of preterm infants who received non-invasive high-frequency oscillatory ventilation following extubation in a neonatal intensive care unit. Methods:Infants born between 25 and 34 weeks of gestation with a birth weight of <1,500 g, who were admitted into the neonatal intensive care unit of Guangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Nanning, Guangxi, China, requiring mechanical ventilation on admission were randomized to the non-invasive high-frequency ventilation group, nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation group, or nasal continuous positive airway pressure group following extubation. Their respiratory and neurodevelopmental outcomes were assessed at 12 and 24 months of corrected age. Results:Among 149 preterm infants who underwent randomization, 139 completed their treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit (45, 47, 47 in the non-invasive high-frequency ventilation group, nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation group, or nasal continuous positive airway pressure group, respectively), 113 were assessed at 12-month corrected age, and 110 of 113 were assessed again at 24-month corrected age. There were no differences in the number of times bronchitis, pneumonia, wheezing episodes, and re-hospitalization rates appeared due to respiratory diseases among the three groups (P > 0.05); the pulmonary function tests at 12-month corrected age showed respiratory rate, tidal volume, inspiratory time/expiratory time, time to peak expiratory flow/expiratory time, volume at peak expiratory flow/expiratory volume, expiratory flow at 25, 50, and 75% tidal volume were all similar among infants from the 3 groups (P > 0.05). There were no differences in the rates of neurodevelopmental impairment among the three groups at 24-month corrected age (P > 0.05). Conclusion:As post-extubation respiratory support in preterm infants, non-invasive high-frequency ventilation did not increase the rates of long-term respiratory morbidities and neurodevelopmental impairment compared with nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation and nasal continuous positive airway pressure.
Laryngomalacia is the top cause of pediatric laryngeal wheeze. We used computational fluid dynamics to study the inspiratory airflow dynamics in severe pediatric laryngomalacia. Computed tomography was performed on the upper airways of two infants, one with severe laryngomalacia and one with normal airway, and 3D models were reconstructed. ANSYS CFD-POST software was used to simulate airflow in these models to compare the volumetric flow rate, flow velocity, pressure, wall shear, and vortex. The volume flow rate in the laryngomalacia model was significantly reduced compared with the control model. Under inspiratory pressures, the peak flow velocity, pressure, and shear force in the control model appeared at the soft palate stenosis, while that in the laryngomalacia model appeared at the supraglottis stenosis. In both models, the maximum flow velocity and shear force increased with decreasing inspiratory pressure, while the minimum pressure decreased with decreasing inspiratory pressure. In the control model, the airflow vortex appeared anteriorly below the posterior section of the soft palate. In the laryngomalacia model, the vortex appeared anteriorly below the posterior section of the soft palate and anteriorly below the vocal folds. Our methodology provides a new mechanistic understanding of pediatric laryngomalacia.

Remote sensing monitoring of aquatic vegetation is critical to the water quality evaluation of plateau lakes. To obtain a clear understanding of the water environment status of Dianchi Lake, a GF-5 hyperspectral characteristics-based optimal NDVI approach was employed to quantify the aquatic vegetation cover and analyze water quality. By characteristic bands recognition, the optimal NDVI was obtained; the spatial distribution of aquatic plants and water quality in Dianchi Lake were then analyzed. Results showed the following: (1) For Caohai, the optimal NDVI value was calculated by B86 in the red band range and B151 in the near-infrared band range, which achieve the best spectral response. For Waihai, the respective bands were B86 in the red band range and B99 in the near-infrared band range. (2) We also found significant regional differences in aquatic plants distribution for the study area. Caohai was dominated by aquatic plants and high-quality water areas only occurred in the northern tip. While the situation for Waihai was much optimistic, areas with poor water quality were mainly found in the north and south parts. Water quality also showed a descending trend from the lakeside zone to the lake center. (3) By comparing to previous studies, we concluded that policy interventions and water protection measures carried out by the government during the past years are extremely effective. The optimal NDVI method provides a reliable evaluation and is potentially transferable to other plateau lake areas as a robust approach for the rapid assessment of water quality.
Objective To investigate the effectiveness and safety of non-invasive high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (NHFOV) in post-extubation preterm infants. Methods This was a randomized, controlled trial. A total of 149 preterm infants aged between 25 to 34 weeks' gestational age with a birth weight of <1500 g who required invasive mechanical ventilation on admission were included. After extubation, they were randomized to the NHFOV group (n = 47), nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) group (n = 51), or nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP) group (n = 51). We compared the effectiveness and safety among these three groups. Results A total of 139 preterm infants finally completed the study. The reintubation rate was significantly lower in the NHFOV group than in the other groups. The duration of non-invasive ventilation and the length of hospital stay in the NHFOV and NIPPV groups were significantly shorter than those in the NCPAP group. The incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in the NHFOV and NIPPV groups was significantly lower than that in the NCPAP group. The NHFOV group had significantly less nasal injury than the NCPAP group. Conclusion As post-extubation respiratory support in preterm infants, NHFOV has a lower reintubation rate compared with NCPAP and NIPPV, without increasing the rate of complications.
Urban spectral indices have made promising improvements in the last two decades in urban land use land cover studies through mapping, estimation, change detection, time-series analyzing, urban dynamics, monitoring, modeling, and so on. Remote sensing spectral indices are unsupervised, unbiased, rapid, scalable, and quantitative in information extraction. Hence, we aimed to summarize the most relevant urban spectral indices by focusing on multispectral, thermal, and nighttime lights indices. We use the search terms "urban index", "built-up index", "normalized difference built-up area (NDBI )", "impervious surface index", and "spectral urban index" to collect relevant literature from the "Web of Science Core Collection" database. We found that all urban spectral indices developed since 2003, except NDBI. This review will help understand the applications of urban spectral indices, the selection of indices based on available spectral bands, and their merits and demerits.
Accurate land cover mapping is important for urban planning and management. Remote sensing data have been widely applied for urban land cover mapping. However, obtaining land cover classification via optical remote sensing data alone is difficult due to spectral confusion. To reduce the confusion between dark impervious surface and water, the Sentinel-1A Synthetic Aperture Rader (SAR) data are synergistically combined with the Sentinel-2B Multispectral Instrument (MSI) data. The novel support vector machine with composite kernels (SVM-CK) approach, which can exploit the spatial information, is proposed to process the combination of Sentinel-2B MSI and Sentinel-1A SAR data. The classification based on the fusion of Sentinel-2B and Sentinel-1A data yields an overall accuracy (OA) of 92.12% with a kappa coefficient (KA) of 0.89, superior to the classification results using Sentinel-2B MSI imagery and Sentinel-1A SAR imagery separately. The results indicate that the inclusion of Sentinel-1A SAR data to Sentinel-2B MSI data can improve the classification performance by reducing the confusion between built-up area and water. This study shows that the land cover classification can be improved by fusing Sentinel-2B and Sentinel-1A imagery.
目的 分析超早早产儿的死亡情况及其与临床特征的关系,探讨超早早产儿死亡的影响因素.方法 回顾性分析2010~2016年广西9家医院收治的308例超早早产儿的临床资料.记录早产儿死亡情况及病因,分析死亡情况与相关临床特征的关系.结果 308例超早早产儿住院期间死亡158例,死亡比例为51.3%,大多数早产儿在围生期内死亡(74.7%),主要的死因为新生儿呼吸窘迫综合征(占77.2%).住院治疗的超早早产儿例数自2014年起明显增多,但早产儿的存活率随年份的变化趋势无统计学意义(P>0.05).随着出生胎龄或出生体重的增加,超早早产儿的死亡比例呈下降趋势.结论 超早早产儿死亡比例较高,新生儿呼吸窘迫综合征为首要死因.不断提高诊疗水平、优化诊疗流程、多科协同合作、加强医患沟通,将有助于提高超早早产儿的救治成功率.
This study aims to evaluate the epidemiological characteristics of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV and identify the possible factors leading to infant HIV infection using a retrospective cohort study of early infant diagnosis (EID). Information on a total of 3,145 exposed infant-mother pairs was collected from the EID platform from July 2014 to December 2019. The MTCT rate was 2.1%. Spatial-temporal maps showed that rates varied by year and by region, with four districts (Baise, Guigang, Guilin, and Hechi) maintaining rates of >2.0% in 2019. The rate of antiretroviral therapy (ART) use was 94.4%, with a gradual increase in prescriptions of highly active ART (HAART) from 83.0% in 2014 to 92.4% in 2019. A majority of 99.5% of infants were receiving artificial feeding. Factors associated with MTCT were ART use (odds ratio [OR] = 0.065, confidence interval [95% CI] = 0.035-0.121) and artificial feeding (OR = 0.091, 95% CI = 0.018-0.452). HAART was more helpful in decreasing the risk of MTCT compared with monotherapy (OR = 0.115, 95% CI = 0.014-0.933). ART during the postpartum period correlated with an increased risk (OR = 11.579, 95% CI = 1.402-95.960) compared with use of ART during pregnancy. This study indicates that MTCT rate of HIV is decreasing meaningfully in Guangxi. Some areas still face challenges in elimination of MTCT and need further resources and interventions. Future program planning should take into consideration the fact that ART use-in particular the use of HAART or ART during pregnancy-and replacement feeding may contribute to the prevention of MTCT.
In Shanxi Province, China, groundwater is a major problem and exploration of groundwater potential zones (GWPZs) is a great necessity. This paper contributed to integrate RS-GIS to delineate GWPZ and applied Fuzzy-AHP method in a single platform. The main objective includes delineation GWPZs with RS and geoenvironmental factors using Fuzzy-AHP method. Fuzzy-AHP method was employed to calculate weight of factors. RS-GIS was used to create maps and discover groundwater availability. GWPZs were classified in five separate classes. Results indicated that 13.26%, 27.02%, 26.35%, 23.64%, and 9.71% area classified as very good, good, moderate, poor, and very poor GWPZs. The validated analytical results revealed 82.5%, 12.3%, 3.5%, and 1.7% existing water wells exhibited in very good, good, moderate, and poor/very poor GWPZs. This indicates Fuzzy-AHP model generated findings were in very good agreement with ground-truth data. This RS-GIS based Fuzzy-AHP method is proficient and efficient in identification and delineation of GWPZs.
Objective: To assess treatment outcomes and associated factors of extremely preterm infants (EPIs) in GuangXi, China. Methods: This was a retrospective study consisting of 131 eligible cases with gestational age (GA) between 22 and 28 weeks, and infants were followed until 18-24 months. Data including clinical characteristics, perinatal factors and after-birth conditions were collected from the neonatal intensive care unit in 10 hospitals in Guangxi from January 1st 2010 until May 31st 2016. Results: During that period, 307 EPIs were born in the hospitals. 137 infants died in hospital after their parents decided to withdraw clinical treatment, and 11 infants died despite full resuscitation was provided. Of the 159 surviving infants, 28 infants were lost to follow-up. In total, 131 infants who survived and were presented to follow-up at 18-24 months of age were enrolled into this study. Of the 131 infants evaluated at 18-24 months follow-up, 47 (35.9%) were diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disability (ND), and 84 (64%) demonstrated on tract motor and language skills. The incidence of chorioamnionitis, early onset sepsis (EOS), bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) were all higher in the group of infants who were diagnosed with ND compared to those with normal motor language development (NML), the duration of mechanical ventilation (MV) was longer in ND group, and the higher incidence of ND was seen in the smaller GA babies (p < 0.05). Adjusted the BPD severity, GA was a protective factor of neurodevelopmental outcome (combined OR = 0.338, 95% CI: 0.145-0.791). In EPIs with moderate BPD and severe BPD, chorioamnionitis was a risk factor of ND (OR = 10.313 and 5.778 , respectively, 95% CI: 1.389-6.486 and 1.444-23.119, respectively). The Logistic regression analysis showed that GA (OR = 0.207, 95%CI = 0.047-0.917) was a protective factor for ND, and chorioamnionitis (OR = 6.010, 95%CI: 1.331-27.138), moderate-to-severe BPD (OR = 4.285, 95%CI: 1.495-12.287), the duration of MV (OR = 3.508, 95%CI: 2.077-5.926) were independent risk factors for ND in EPIs. Conclusions: Chorioamnionitis, moderate-to-severe BPD, and the duration of MV were associated with neurodevelopmental disability in EPIs. The smaller the GA, the higher incidence of neurodevelopmental disability.
目的 调查胸科医院病原菌的分布及耐药性,分析细菌耐药性与抗菌药物应用之间的关系.方法 回顾性调查2015~2017年主要病原菌耐药率变化趋势及同一时间段抗菌药物年用量,计算使用频度(DDDs),分析耐药率与DDDs的相关性.结果 临床主要分离菌以革兰阴性菌为主,检出率最高的是铜绿假单胞菌,占31.67%.住院患者使用的抗菌药物中氟喹诺酮类连续3年占首位,其耐药率与DDDs存在相关性.大肠埃希菌对碳青霉烯类抗菌药物高度敏感,对左氧氟沙星耐药率高;铜绿假单胞菌对所测试抗菌药物耐药率均在25%以下;鲍氏不动杆菌对各类抗菌药物均显示较高的耐药性,对米诺环素较为敏感;左氧氟沙星DDDs与鲍氏不动杆菌耐药率呈正相关(χ2=4.53,P<0.05),与大肠埃希菌耐药率呈负相关(χ2=8.21,P<0.01);未发现耐万古霉素葡萄球菌.结论 细菌耐药率与抗菌药物DDDs存在一定的相关性,遏制细菌耐药需落实医院感染预防与控制措施,加强抗菌药物用量控制,合理规范化使用抗菌药物.
Objective:To study the parallel comparison method of Guishao Qushi decoction on the treatment of Yang deficiency in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)clinical curative effect of peripheral neuropathy.Methods:82 cases of T2DM patients with peripheral neuropathy were compared as research materials,the selected patients were divided respectively into control group and observation group,the control group took western medicine treatment, the observation group was given self-made Guishao Qushi decoction based on the control group therapy on the clinical efficacy of the two groups the evaluation after a course of treatment,observed before treatment,the nerve conduc-tion velocity of two groups of patients after treatment and the clinical score of Toronto(TCSS)and TCM syndrome score changes.Results:The total effective rate of the control group was 51.22%,the total effective rate of the ob-servation group was 87.80%,and the effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,both MCV and SCV were improved and was statistically significant compared in the group. After treatment,the observation group was superior to the control group in MCV and SCV,and the contrast be-tween the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the two groups of TCM syndrome scores and TCSS scores were improved compared with those before,compared with the group was statistically significant. After treatment,the TCM syndrome score and TCSS score in the observation group were better than those in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The curative effect of peripheral neuropathy Guishao Qushi decoction in the treatment of Yang deficiency type 2 diabetes is more ideal,can effectively improve the patients with nerve conduction velocity,and has wide application value.
