From the analysis of this research data, it is concluded as follows: The results of the research and discussion show that the effectiveness of the employment placement service at the Ternate City Manpower Office is carried out in accordance with the following conclusions; (a) Achievement of Objectives. The implementation of the Ready to Work Application has succeeded in significantly increasing the success rate of job placement from 13.5% to 37.4%, while also proving the effectiveness of the system in minimizing the mismatch between job seekers' competencies and industry needs. (b) System Integration. Digitalization through a single platform has eliminated bureaucratic barriers through cross-sector data synchronization and strategic collaboration with the private sector (Karirhub API), thus creating a transparent, accurate, and functional service flow. (c) Adaptation. The Ternate City Manpower Office demonstrates high flexibility by reducing the service duration from 30 minutes to under 10 minutes and providing inclusive solutions (web version and hybrid job fair) that ensure the sustainability of the digital transition for both officials and the public. (d) Factors Affecting the Job Seeker Card (AK1) through the Ready to Work application are influenced by internal factors such as limited APBD budgets which cause stagnation in feature development and vulnerability of office hardware and network infrastructure. Then external factors such as the distribution of telecommunications infrastructure and the level of digital literacy in the community, where network constraints and low technological skills are still the main obstacles for end users.
The focus of this study is to identify various potential tourist attractions in Tidore Islands City as part of efforts to implement regional tourism development. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used include document analysis, interviews, and observation. The data analysis technique employed is an interactive model comprising the stages of word condensation, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study indicate that Tidore Islands City possesses a wealth of diverse and abundant tourism potential and attractions. The sources of Tidore Islands City’s tourism potential are: first, its status as an archipelago. It is this archipelagic nature that has endowed Tidore Islands City with a wealth of natural resources, including natural tourist attractions; second, the city’s current existence is a legacy of the historical civilization of the Islamic Sultanate Kingdom from the past. Consequently, this has enriched the city’s historical tourism sites, as well as its local arts and culture. Third, Tidore Islands City was one of the regions colonized during the colonial era, leaving behind various historical relics. These historical relics further enrich the historical tourism sites in the area.
This community service paper presents the implementation and reflection of a field-based engagement program aimed at improving domestic environmental health among migrant service-worker families in Kuala Lumpur. The target group consisted of long-term migrant families working in the service sector, including domestic work, construction, and other informal urban services, who have lived with their families in the city for many years. Despite their important contribution to urban life, many of these families experience limited housing quality, overcrowding, inadequate ventilation, insufficient lighting, sanitation challenges, and constrained domestic space that affects family well-being. The program was designed and delivered by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in architecture and building engineering. It focused on increasing participants’ awareness of the relationship between housing conditions, everyday health, and family resilience. The activities included field observation, participatory discussion, environmental health education, and practical guidance on low-cost improvements that could be applied in rented or modest living environments. Key topics addressed in the program included airflow and ventilation, natural lighting, hygiene, moisture control, household safety, waste management, and the more effective organization of domestic space. The program showed that community-based interventions grounded in spatial understanding can help migrant families better recognize environmental risks and identify realistic ways to improve their living conditions. The paper argues that community service in architecture and building engineering can contribute meaningfully to healthier domestic environments, especially for vulnerable migrant families in dense urban settings. It also highlights the value of practical, context-sensitive knowledge as a form of empowerment for long-term migrant communities.
This study aims to analyze Sasak local wisdom values as a foundation for developing school culture, describe the internalization of these values through intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs, and identify behavioral changes and challenges in their implementation. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design at a junior secondary school in East Lombok, Indonesia, categorized as a Sekolah Penggerak (Transformative School). Informants were purposively selected and included Sasak cultural practitioners, the principal, vice principal, student organization advisor, teachers, students, and the school committee. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, document analysis, and audiovisual documentation. Data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data trustworthiness was strengthened through source, technique, and time triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal that the development of school culture based on Sasak local wisdom forms an interconnected value structure. Tindih functions as a philosophical foundation that guides students toward being proper, obedient, diligent, good, and pious through exemplary behavior, habituation, and intracurricular learning. Maliq–merang functions as a moral support system through school regulations, academic and non-academic rules, and co-curricular activities that encourage self-control and positive behavior. Sangkep represents the practical manifestation of cultural values through deliberation, student organizations, scouting, arts, and other extracurricular activities that foster participation and cooperation. School leadership functions as a connecting mechanism that translates cultural values into policies, exemplary practices, habituation, and decision-making processes. These findings generate an empirical-conceptual model demonstrating that school culture based on local wisdom is not established merely through cultural symbols or ceremonial activities, but through the transformation of cultural values into consistent, repetitive, and integrated practices within everyday school life.
Mathematical representation ability is an essential skill that enables students to connect mathematical concepts with real-life contexts. However, many senior high school students still experience difficulties in representing mathematical ideas, particularly in modeling word problems, which is influenced by inappropriate instructional models and low levels of self-efficacy. This study aims to examine differences in students’ mathematical representation abilities between those taught using the Quantum Learning model and those taught through direct instruction, as well as to analyze the interaction between instructional models and self-efficacy on mathematical representation ability. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental 2×2 factorial design. The participants consisted of 101 eleventh-grade students selected through multistage random sampling. Data were collected using a mathematical representation ability test and a self-efficacy questionnaire, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), and two-way analysis of variance (2×2 ANOVA) followed by Tukey’s post hoc test. The results indicate that the Quantum Learning model is significantly more effective than direct instruction in improving students’ mathematical representation abilities. Furthermore, a significant interaction was found between the instructional model and students’ self-efficacy. Students with high self-efficacy demonstrated better mathematical representation abilities when taught using Quantum Learning, whereas students with low self-efficacy benefited more from direct instruction. This study concludes that the effectiveness of mathematics instructional models is strongly influenced by students’ affective characteristics, particularly self-efficacy, highlighting the importance of adaptive teaching strategies to optimize students’ mathematical representation abilities.
