This article explores the powerful influence of social media on the construction and reconstruction of students' self-image. The purpose of this research is to examine the implications of social media on students' perception and expression of themselves in an online environment. Using a qualitative research design, this study employed interviews and surveys to collect data from a diverse sample of students. The findings reveal that social media platforms play a significant role in shaping students' self-image, as they provide opportunities for self-presentation and comparison with peers. The study found that social media platforms enable students to project an idealized version of themselves, often leading to a distorted perception of reality. Additionally, the constant exposure to curated images and narratives on social media can adversely impact students' self-esteem and mental well-being. The practical implications of this research suggest the need for educational institutions and policymakers to address the potential negative effects of social media on students' self-image. Promoting digital literacy and critical thinking skills can help students navigate the online world and develop a healthier relationship with social media. Overall, this study highlights the importance of understanding the power of social media in shaping and reshaping students' self-image. It calls for further research and proactive measures to mitigate the negative impact of social media on students' mental health and self-perception.
Visual History and Education of the Shoa Foundation
The article proposes the synthesis of CoFe2O4 by a modified coprecipitation method followed by plasma treatment. With the help of simplex planning of the experiment, the samples were synthesized using different precipitants. X-ray phase analysis and vibrational magnetometry were used to characterize the obtained samples. Diagrams of the composition of the precipitator and the response function are given in the paper. Alkalis in the NaOH - LiOH - KOH system were used as precipitants. The response functions were a coercive force, saturation magnetization, average crystallite size, crystallite size along the X-ray pattern line (311), crystallite size along the X-ray pattern line (400), dislocation density, and percentage of microstrains. Summarizing the results of mathematical modeling and graphical display of experimental data, presented in the form of composition-property diagrams, made it possible to quantitatively assess the influence of the nature of the precipitant on the structural and magnetic properties of cobalt ferrites. The saturation magnetization for samples obtained using sodium hydroxide is higher than for other samples. High saturation magnetization values also apply to samples along the NaOH-LiOH line. It is established that isolines corresponding to high values of saturation magnetization coincide with larger values of the lattice parameter. An inverse relationship is observed for the values of microstresses and the density of dislocations. That is, a more perfect crystal structure corresponds to improved magnetic properties. X-ray phase analysis also showed that the presence of impurities reduces the saturation magnetization and increases the coercive force.
The article aims at analysis of the problems of Ukrainian society' information security, taking into account the military situation. The empirical basis of the study is a secondary analysis of the results of monitoring social changes (30 years of independence), which was conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2021. The following terms were analyzed: "information security" -a set of certain knowledge, skills, abilities and a high level of media literacy of society in information sphere of the state; "information space", representing a certain set of communication technologies that ensure interaction between the producer, transmitter, and consumer of information; and "new media" as a certain transformation of the information transmission channels themselves (their interactivity, possibility of feedback, etc.). Subjects and objects of the information space have been studied. The content and structure of information security are highlighted. It is noted that in order to minimize the threat and challenges that may be caused by informational influences on society, it is necessary to single out ways of countermeasures, namely: 1) development of the Ukrainian information space in the direction of the world one; 2) unification of international and Ukrainian information systems; 3) creation and development of own model of information space; 4) modernization of the already existing system of information security of Ukraine in accordance with the latest challenges; 5) creation and improvement of the working regulatory framework in accordance with world standards; 6) development of information infrastructure; 7) enabling competitiveness of Ukrainian information products; 8) use of the latest information technologies in the state administration of the country; 9) constant interaction of the power structure with mass media and influencers in the information space; 10) increasing the level of media literacy of society, etc.
