This study explores the digital payment preferences among the Indonesian community, focusing on QRIS adoption, which complies with Sharia principles, including amanah (trustworthiness), maslahah (public benefit), and tawazun (balance). This study was conducted in three coastal villages with relatively low QRIS penetration rates using a qualitative case study design. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and secondary documentation, guided by the Theory of Planned Behaviour and the principles of Maqasid al-Sharia. Data analysis was conducted through transcription, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, with validity ensured through triangulation, member checking, and audit trails. The findings of this study indicate that preferences are not only influenced by accessibility and user-friendliness, but also by the alignment of digital platforms with Islamic values (Sharia). However, there are obstacles, one of which is adapting digital literacy to the community's specific needs. It is supported by collaboration between local governments, Islamic financial institutions, and religious leaders. This study contributes to the academic literature on digital finance and provides implications for financial service providers and coastal communities. Hopefully, this study can advance the scientific discourse on Islamic digital finance and provide relevant insights on policies for inclusive financial practices and long-term resilience in underserved Muslim communities.
Screening large volumes of unstructured Curriculum Vitae (CV) documents introduces significant information uncertainty: recruiters face difficulty distinguishing relevant candidates from distractors when traditional keyword-based Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) fail to capture latent semantic relationships. This paper presents an AI-powered Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework that systematically reduces retrieval uncertainty through a two-stage hybrid pipeline. In the first stage, a bi-encoder produces dense vector representations for scalable approximate nearest-neighbor search over a repository of 247,480 real-world CV profiles. In the second stage, a cross-encoder reranker jointly processes each query–candidate pair to refine the ranking by capturing fine-grained term interactions that the bi-encoder’s compressed representation inevitably loses. We conduct a controlled five-way ablation study across BM25, bi-encoder, RAG-only, reranker-only, and the full RAG-plus-reranker pipeline, evaluated on Precision@K, NDCG@K, MRR, and query latency. Experimental results demonstrate that the full pipeline achieves a 100.8% improvement in Precision@3 and a 50.0% gain in NDCG@5 over the bi-encoder baseline, while maintaining sub-200 ms end-to-end latency. These findings confirm that cross-encoder reranking serves as an effective uncertainty-reduction mechanism, offering a principled trade-off between retrieval speed and ranking precision for AI-powered human resource technology.
Economic resilience at the national level must rely on the strategic role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially when facing global market volatility. Although new regulations in Indonesia have encouraged digital transformation and responsible business practices, low digital and financial literacy, limited access to financing, and weak tax compliance still limit the competitiveness of MSMEs. Thus, this study is written to develop an integrative model that positions digital competence (DCC) and social capital networks (SCN) as internal factors of competitive advantage (CA), with business resilience (BRC) acting as a mediator in explaining CA achievement. On the other hand, sustainable financial behaviour, accounting practices, and public policy support act as external factors that strengthen legitimacy, increase transparency and expand access to formal finance. This framework uses a literature synthesis to expand the resource-based view (RBV) and dynamic capabilities theory by introducing a dimension of financial sustainability that has not been widely discussed in MSME studies. The results indicate that the competitive advantages of MSMEs can be strengthened through a synergy of complementary internal and external factors. The main contribution of this research lies in the integration of sustainable financial behaviour into the conceptual model. This work also provides directions for future empirical research and a practical foundation for the Indonesian government, financial institutions, and MSMEs in strengthening the resilience of the economy and businesses around the nation.
Changes in the work environment driven by digital transformation, technological advancements, and increasing global competition require individuals to possess not only technical competencies but also adaptability, integrity, and a growth mindset. Therefore, this Community Service Program aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the importance of these three aspects in building sustainable careers. The program was organized by the Indonesian Association of Research in Management, Entrepreneurship, and Business (ARIMBI) on July 21, 2026, and was conducted online through the Zoom Meeting platform. A total of 96 participants attended the program, including academics, students, practitioners, professionals, and entrepreneurs. The methods employed consisted of socialization and participatory training through material presentations, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The results indicated that participants gained a better understanding of the importance of adaptability in responding to workplace changes, the application of integrity in fostering professionalism, and the development of a growth mindset as a strategy for continuous learning and self-improvement. The high level of participant engagement throughout the program demonstrated the relevance of the topic to current career development needs. This activity contributed positively to improving participants’ career literacy and encouraged the development of human resources who are adaptive, ethical, and better prepared to face the challenges of an evolving work environment.
