This study evaluates the oxidation states of formulations comprising styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene (SEBS), and styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS). The implementation of two chemiluminescence methods, isothermal and nonisothermal, allows depiction of the evolution of oxidation states as a function of the inorganic filler, BaTiO3, added at three concentrations: 1, 3, and 5 wt%. The conversion of hydroperoxides into stable oxygenated products reveals the filler's protective activity. This feature, the improvement of durability, recommends the studied formulation as an appropriate product for medical engineering.
Microplastics pose a significant risk to human health and the environment. This research examines microplastics in oral care products, particularly mouthwash, using morphological and chemical characterisation. A robust isolation protocol ensured the sample matrix was representative. Evaluation of digestion methods found that weak acids were ineffective and that strong oxidants were damaging to polymers. While alkaline treatment is feasible, the peroxide-based method proved optimal. Comprehensive characterisation is required to combine optical microscopy with micro-FTIR screening to ensure reliable data. A health risk assessment found that polypropylene and amorphous acrylate polymers in mouthwash pose a moderate to high risk for both adults and children.
Career management is a strategic process that ensures the sustainable development of sports organizations, the performance of human resources, motivation, and retention. This paper provides a theoretical foundation for the concept of career management and explores its applicability within the context of sports organizations in Romania, drawing on the perceptions of various categories of stakeholders involved. The research was based on document analysis and empirical investigations conducted within sports associations, considering the perspectives of both decision-makers and athletes regarding career planning and development. The findings highlight significant differences between the two respondent categories, particularly in terms of awareness, structure, and the effectiveness of implemented career plans. Furthermore, key determinants of the effectiveness of these plans were identified, such as available resources, institutional support, and the professional training infrastructure. The coherent implementation of career management policies directly influences job satisfaction and organizational performance. The results can support the development of an organizational culture focused on sustainable performance and the formulation of integrated human resource strategies tailored to the specific characteristics of the sports sector.
This paper presents the design and implementation of a low-cost microcontroller-based dual-channel fan controller optimized for high-power audio amplifiers, yet adaptable to power supplies, electronic loads, and other thermally intensive systems. Unlike conventional designs that drive all fans uniformly, the proposed solution provides fully independent cooling via dual (IC)-C-2 temperature sensors, predictive trend analysis, and multi-stage hysteresis. The controller incorporates advanced features including an anti-dust startup sequence, predictive boost with latching, active cross-cooling, anti-heat-soak protection, and stall detection via tachometer monitoring, complemented by LED-based fault signaling and automatic channel muting during overheating or fan failure. Hardware support for 12 V and 24 V fans, dual power-input options, and a compact PCB layout enhance integration flexibility. The firmware employs temperature-driven PWM mapping with EMA filtering and multi-level hysteresis. The experimental results confirm that all implemented features operate as intended, with each function demonstrating clear practical relevance, whether in improving responsiveness, preventing heat accumulation, or enhancing system reliability under a wide range of operating conditions.
The Landau constants are defined by & sum; ( ) {} { } These constants play an important role in complex analysis. In this paper, we establish new asymptotic expansions and inequalities for the Landau constants.
