The Precarpathian National University (abbreviated as PNU) is a public research university in Ivano-Frankivsk. It is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Western Ukraine. The history of the university dates back to March 15, 1940, when Stanislav Teacher Training Institute was established. Later, in 1950, it was renamed Stanislav (since 1962 - Ivano-Frankivsk) Pedagogical Institute. In January 1971, the institution was renamed after a famous Ukrainian writer Vasyl Stefanyk by the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.After the dissolution of the USSR, the Precarpathian University was founded on the base of Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute on August 26, 1992. On September 14, 2004, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded the University the national status, by its decree # 204.Currently, the University unites eight educational institutes, six faculties, three educational and consulting centers, one college, eleven research centers, Postgraduate Educational and Pre-university Training Center, Information Technology Center, the Center of Distance Learning and Knowledge Control, Teaching Management, Scientific and Research Department, Dendrological Park (Arboretum) and Botanical Garden.University Administration• Rector – Ihor Tsependa, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Honorary Doctor of the University of Rzeszów (Poland, 2015), member of the Ukrainian Academy of Political Science.• Vice-Rector for Research Work – Andrii Zahorodniuk, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor.• Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work – Serhii Sharyn, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics.• Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work – Halyna Mykhailyshyn, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Honored Worker of Education.
Abstract Background Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, identifying repatriated military remains has become a sustained forensic and legal challenge. While standard Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) protocols rely on DNA, fingerprints, and forensic odontology as parallel identifiers, operational realities often make their use impractical. This report highlights bureau-level implementation gaps under wartime workload in Ukraine, examining how legal-procedural frameworks and infrastructural bottlenecks prevent these three lines from functioning as an integrated identification system. Findings A retrospective descriptive service audit of 305 repatriated military decedents processed at Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Forensic Bureau was undertaken. Cases included complete and fragmented human remains processed over 19 months (August 2024–February 2026). DNA profiling was the dominant operational pathway, identifying 211/305 cases (69%), while 94 (31%) remained unidentified. A dermatoglyphic comparison workflow was initiated in 12 cases in which friction ridge material could be recovered; of these, 8 yielded sufficient ridge detail for comparison, yielding 2 matches. Early implementation of the forensic dental line included PM documentation in 10 cases, but no odontological reconciliations were achieved. These results indicate that, although medical identification is not formally confined to DNA alone under Ukrainian law, DNA currently remains the only line with a dedicated centralized legal-operational infrastructure. Conversely, fingerprint and odontology pathways lack comparably integrated ante-mortem reconciliation infrastructures and often depend on fragmented data sources and ad hoc investigative actions. Conclusions Based on the results of an audit of cases admited over a 19 month period at one regional bureau, wartime Ukraine demonstrates a functioning but highly imbalanced identification architecture in which DNA, dermatoglyphic comparison, and forensic dental documentation do not operate as an integrated system. DNA is the only line with a sufficiently formalized infrastructural pathway for large-scale operational use, whereas the practical contribution of the other two lines is constrained by weak procedural integration, fragmented ante-mortem data availability, limited interoperability, and specimen-related limitations.
Wild bees (Hymenoptera: Anthophila) and hoverflies (Diptera: Syrphidae), the two major groups of insect pollinators, are undergoing alarming declines worldwide, including Europe. The lack of accessible and verified spatial and temporal occurrence records currently challenges efforts to understand and mitigate this decline. Here, we compiled datasets from diverse sources, including taxonomists, national experts, public repositories, museum collections, published literature, verified open-access platforms, and aggregated datasets from previous European projects. The collected data were standardised, cleaned and validated by taxonomists and national experts. This collective effort resulted in two databases comprising more than 4.34 million and 1.04 million records for wild bees and hoverflies, respectively. The databases cover 97% of the European bee fauna (2,083 species out of 2,138 recorded in Europe) and 97% of the European hoverfly fauna (886 species out of 913 recorded in Europe). These standardised databases constitute essential resources for future assessments of status and trends, habitat associations, and other research and conservation initiatives to protect and understand wild pollinators on the European continent.
The theoretical foundations and algorithms for converting multi-digit decimal Rademacher numbers into codes of residues of coprime modules of the Crestenson basis are analyzed. Methods for inter-basis conversion of Rademacher codes into codes of the Crestenson basis by means of bit-oriented parallelization of computational processes are investigated. Theoretical provisions for inter-basis conversion of bits of binary codes of decimal numbers into codes of residues of the system of coprime modules, the product of which exceeds the range of encoding of the Rademacher basis are developed. Examples of encoding and performing mathematical operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, squaring and determining the squares of the modular difference of large-bit binary numbers in codes of residues of the Rademacher–Crestenson and Haar–Crestenson bases are given. Software-information models for converting large-bit bit-oriented binary codes are developed. The scope of application of the developed methods of inter-basis transformations and algorithms for calculating large-digit numbers as components of special processors of interactive distributed computer systems is substantiated. Keywords: inter-basis conversions, decimal codes, remainder codes, software and information models.
The paper describes the prerequisites for the development of public officials’ training in the digital conditions due to the implementation of the decentralization reform in Ukraine; the features of the state standard and educational program are studied; the students’ needs and perceptions survey is conducted and analyzed; the application of digital learning technologies for public officials is substantiated; the mapping of the number of students in public management and administration by region is carried out; the forecast of number of public officials as well as vacant positions in public service is performed; future trends in public officials training are determined.
To determine the effectiveness of CrossFit training on the central hemodynamic profile in youth wrestlers, intervention study was attended by 48 wrestlers during the specialized foundational training stage. The average age of the studied wrestlers was 14.5 ± 0.3 years. The CrossFit group comprised 24 wrestlers participating in the CrossFit training aimed at enhancing functional state of the cardiovascular system. Meanwhile, the control group comprised 24 wrestlers following the standard program. Wrestlers engaged in CrossFit workouts three times a week for one hour over a six-month period as part of their physical conditioning. After CrossFit intervention the significant increase was observed in the CrossFit group by actual stroke volume by 12.98 ml/beat (р<0.001); cardiac output by 0.92 l/min; stroke index by 0.43 ml/beat/m² (р<0.001); left ventricular power by 1.05 W (р<0.01). Comparison of the post-training indicators of the rheography cardiovascular system showed the presence of probable differences between the studied groups (p<0.05-0.001). Advantages were observed in the wrestlers of the CrossFit group by all indicators compared to the wrestlers of the comparison group. The stroke volume value was higher in the wrestlers from the main group compared to the control group by 10.26 ml (p<0.01), while cardiac output was higher by 0.62 l/min (p<0.05). The results have indicated that the incorporation of high-intensity multifunctional CrossFit methods during the study resulted in positive dynamics in the preparedness level of wrestlers during the specialized foundational training stage.
