The present research investigates information needs assessment, perceived information accessibility, information overload, and electronic information literacy as antecedents to web search self-efficacy of organizational employees. It seeks to present a detailed picture of the psychological and informational factors that affect employees' self-assurance in web searching digital information environments. A quantitative method was employed, utilising data from 244 workers across various organisations. Highly reliable measurement scales from prior literature were used in measuring five primary constructs. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was executed with the help of STATA to test the measurement and structural models, measure relationships, and verify the significance of every hypothesised path. The results indicate that both information needs assessment and perceived information accessibility significantly influence web search self-efficacy. Further, information overload was found to be a partial mediator of the relationship between perceived information accessibility and web search self-efficacy. In contrast, electronic information literacy enhanced the relationship between information needs assessment and self-efficacy significantly. All the hypotheses put forward were statistically confirmed, emphasising the intricate but interrelated routes via which digital competence and information quality influence individual web-based information task confidence. This study enriches theoretical models of digital behaviour by incorporating cognitive overload and literacy mechanisms, and provides practical implications for designing interventions to develop employees' digital search competence.

This study seeks to answer the question, "How has digitisation affected HRM communication strategies, practices, and outcomes?" by examining these factors. Its stated goal is to investigate the ways in which digital technologies have altered HRM procedures, and to catalogue the advantages and disadvantages of these shifts. Twenty human resources experts from different sectors participated in the qualitative interview-based study. We used thematic analysis to find commonalities and trends in topics including data privacy and security, technology adoption, employee engagement, information accessibility, and the efficacy of our communications. According to the research, digital tools greatly improve the effectiveness of communication, make information more accessible, and boost employee engagement through the ability to have more personalised interactions. On the other hand, obstacles such a lack of consensus on how to use technology, widely differing degrees of technical competence, and worries about personal information security and privacy were also noted. These considerations highlight the importance of all-encompassing plans to handle the challenges of HRM's digital integration. This report highlights the pros and cons of digital technologies to help HRM grasp digital change. It helps organisations optimise HRM practices through technology implementation and risk mitigation. Theories are strengthened and more research is suggested by the study.
This study investigates the evolving role of public libraries in adult lifelong learning, examining the transformation from traditional information provision to skill development facilitation through empirical analysis of district-level public libraries in Ningbo. Using panel data from eight district libraries (2019-2023), we employ a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative analysis of service records (n=2,450) with qualitative insights from staff interviews (n=48). The study utilizes threshold regression, mediation analysis, and difference-in-differences methodology to examine transformation effects. Results reveal significant positive effects of service transformation on learning outcomes (β = 0.435, p < 0.01), with learning engagement mediating 42.3% of this relationship. Two critical transformation thresholds were identified (0.42 and 0.76, F = 28.45 and 23.82 respectively, p < 0.01), indicating distinct implementation stages. Digital capacity significantly moderates transformation effectiveness (interaction β = 0.156, p < 0.01), with effects peaking two quarters post-implementation (β = 0.324, p < 0.01). This research provides novel empirical evidence for the effectiveness of library service transformation, identifying specific thresholds and temporal patterns in implementation effects. The findings contribute to both theoretical understanding of library evolution and practical guidance for service innovation.

This study examines the impact of teamwork on brand happiness in the context of local and international brands. It further investigates the mediating role of marketing in media and the moderating effect of integrated marketing communication (IMC) to understand how these factors shape consumer perception across different brand types. The study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using Smart-PLS 4, with Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) to compare relationships across local and international brands. Data were collected from 133 respondents for local brands and 110 for international brands, using validated scales from past research. The measurement model was assessed for reliability and validity, while the structural model was tested through bootstrapping and multi-group comparisons. The findings indicate that teamwork significantly enhances brand happiness, with a stronger impact observed in international brands compared to local brands. Marketing in media partially mediates this relationship, reinforcing the role of media presence in shaping brand happiness. Integrated marketing communication (IMC) moderates the influence of marketing in media on brand happiness, further strengthening this effect. Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) results reveal significant differences between local and international brands, confirming that the impact of teamwork, marketing in media, and IMC varies across brand types. This study provides new insights into the differential impact of teamwork on brand happiness, highlighting the role of marketing in media and IMC. The findings offer practical implications for brand managers to refine marketing strategies and enhance consumer-brand relationships.
This research aimed to investigate the manner in which small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within Thailand's health and beauty industry access and utilise digital information, with particular emphasis on the role of social media applications in fostering sustainable growth within the framework of the digital economy. By integrating perspectives from digital communication and information behaviour, the researchers developed and empirically validated a Structural Equation Model (SEM) to identify the key factors influencing the adoption and widespread use of social media among SMEs. A mixed-methods approach was employed. The qualitative phase utilised the Rough Set e-Delphi technique, wherein insights from 20 experts in digital business and information science were gathered to refine and reinforce the theoretical constructs under examination. The quantitative phase comprised a structured survey administered to 699 SME entrepreneurs, serving as empirical support for the proposed model. The findings revealed that SME engagement with digital information, particularly through social media platforms, is shaped predominantly by three perceptual dimensions: ease of use, perceived usefulness, and behavioural intention to adopt specific digital tools. These factors significantly contribute to the digital sustainability of SMEs by encouraging the integration of social media into their business practices. Beyond the implications for the targeted sector, the study offers valuable insights into the broader context of digital research. The conclusions drawn are applicable not only to the health and beauty domain but also to the wider discourse on digital transformation. Ultimately, the study underscores the essential role of social media in shaping information behaviour and in creating a dynamic and sustainable digital environment that supports the advancement of emerging market economies.
In this research, the breakdown of communication in organizational contexts is examined, with attention to the structural, interpersonal, and contextual determinants of such failures. The work is intended to characterize the nature of two major communication challenges, determine their causes and effects, and generate implications for enhancing communication practice. This study employed a qualitative, multiple-case study design and investigated two actual communication issues: (1) project delay due to inter-team miscommunication, and (2) external conflict arising from unclear role expectations in client interactions. Data were gathered via 14 semi-structured interviews and documents (e.g., emails, meeting minutes), and analyzed through Braun and Clarke's thematic analysis framework. The findings identify communication breakdowns to be rooted in ambiguous role ownership, absence of formal communication guidelines, and excessive use of informal or asynchronous means. Emotional effects involved frustration, blame shifting, and broken trust, both intra- and extra-organization. Cross-case themes emphasized the systemic character of communications issues due to organizational culture and structure. This research makes an original contribution by combining Role Theory and Sensemaking Theory to describe how structural ambiguity and interpretive gaps create genuine communication breakdowns. The results provide practical implications for communication policy, leadership development, and system design in complex organizational settings.
This study evaluates the completeness and representativeness of the SABI database, a widely used commercial source for firm-level data in Spain and Portugal, by comparing it to BORME, the official Spanish business register. Using web scraping techniques, we collected and processed approximately 100,000 BORME publications in PDF format, covering the period from 2010 to 2023. These were transformed into a structured dataset comprising over 1.2 million companies, which we then matched against SABI records from the same period. Our analysis reveals that SABI covers only 38.3% of newly established companies, with significant underrepresentation of younger firms, small enterprises, specific sectors, and certain regions. Furthermore, we find clear evidence of survivorship bias: the longer a company has been dissolved, the less likely it is to appear in SABI. Sectoral and geographic disparities are also substantial, and the coverage is skewed toward firms with higher initial capital and specific legal forms. These findings suggest that SABI represents a non-random subset of the Spanish business population, and caution should be exercised when using it for empirical research. Adjustments for sample bias are recommended to improve the reliability of analyses based on this database.
The current study investigates the effect of knowledge-sharing intention on communicative ethical leadership, taking into account the mediating effect of inspirational communication and information quality. The study also explores the moderating effect of top management support in enhancing these relationships. With the increasing significance of ethical leadership and knowledge sharing in organizational performance, this research helps to explain the mechanisms by which these factors interact. A quantitative research methodology was used, which gathered data from 266 employees who were employed in the administrative and management departments of ten organizations. Key constructs were measured using a structured questionnaire and data analysis using STATA-SEM. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) were also used to determine reliability, validity, and hypothesized relationships. Findings verify that knowledge-sharing intention has a strong impact on communicative ethical leadership, whereas information quality and inspirational communication serve as mediating factors. Additionally, top management support moderates these relationships, enhancing their impact. The model exhibits high predictive power, and the study shows the critical contribution of knowledge-sharing and ethical communication to leadership effectiveness. This research contributes to leadership and knowledge-sharing research by incorporating information quality and inspirational communication as mediators and top management support as a key moderator, providing both managerial and theoretical contributions.
