In this research,10 Chinese cabbage〔Brassica campestris L. ssp. pekinensis(Lour) Olsson〕hybrids and their parents were taken as study objects.Based on the EST sequences from NCBI genome data base,a SNP site and multiplex EST-SSR sites,which could be used to identify the purity of Chinese cabbage hybrids,were screened by SSR marker and high resolution melting(HRM) technology.According to the requirement of seed purity identification by high throughput molecular technology,the key techniques such as seedling culture condition of single seed,extraction status of single grain plant, rapid DNA extraction method and establishment of multiplex PCR system were groped and optimized.Results showed that the single germinating seed after 48 h could gain DNA with higher quality by the improved CTAB method in 3 h. Meanwhile,plant leaves reached seeding stage after 7 d,could complete DNA extraction by chexe-100 method within 40 min.The SNP site obtained by screening could be used to indentify the purity of 6 Chinese cabbage hybrids,and the multiplex EST-SSR locus could be used to indentify the purity of 10 Chinese cabbage hybrids.

Ninety-five parameters included in 24 indexes of 4 medical information science journals that published more papers on medical information during 2001-2008 than other journal journals were analyzed and the academic levels of these 4 medical information science journals were evaluated.China Library Classificationhas listed medical informatics into the class of medical,the authors suggested that journal of medical informatics should be evaluated as medical journals.

Objective:To observe the relationship of low-density lipoprotein(LDL) and carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT) with insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes. Methods:76-diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients(type 2 diabetes group) and 30 healthy people(control group) were enrolled in this study.Evaluate the two groups insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) with steady-state model;test low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) with enzymatic determination;detect carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT) with color Doppler ultrasound. Results:The HOMA-IR,LDL and carotid artery IMT in type 2 diabetes group were higher than control group,the differences were significant(P0.05). Conclusions:Insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes has greatly contributed to the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis,so that the incidence of vascular disease-related significant increase.

Objective:To observe the effect of modified Danggui Liuhuang Decoction Combined with propylthiouracil in Graves Disease Patients. Methods:85 patients of Graves Disease were divided into two groups at random.The treatment group(n=43) were treated with modified Danggui Liuhuang Decoction Combined with propylthiouracil,and the control group(n=42) were treated with propylthiouracil.The thyroid functions,improvement of clinical symptoms and untoward reactions of both groups were observed. Results:The thyroid functions and clinical symptoms of two groups were significantly improved(P0.05).The effective rate of the treatment group was 93.02% while that of the control group 78.57%,the difference was significant(P0.05).There were no adverse reactions in two groups. Conclusions:The effect of Danggui Liuhuang Decoction Combined with propylthiouracil for Graves Disease is remarkable.The combination of Chinese and western medication is superior in therapeutic result.

Problems in construction of libraries at the grass-roots PLA units were analyzed,which was slow in updating library collection,irrational in structure,and low in utilization.The reasons why such problems occurred might be due to the old concept,network impact,poor finance support,and low management level.Suggestions were put forward for improving the construction of libraries at the grass-roots PLA units,including strengthening leadership,laying stress on unified planning with due consideration for all concerned,creating new methods,enriching contents,and intensifying talent construction.

H and G factors of 4 medical and information science journals from 2001 to 2008 were calculated according to the relative parameters covered inCNKI,China journal citation report: extended edition,andChinese academic journal report: RCCSE authority and core journals list and guide,ranked and scored,respectively.Total score of each journal was calculated and the 4 journals were ranked according to their score.The score ofChinese journal of medical library and information science was the lowest,followed byJournal of preventive medicine information,Journal of medical informatics,andMedical information.The results of this study indicate that multiple indicators can improve the accuracy in journal evaluation and the evaluation outcome is different due to the data from different resources and different journal classifications.
