Internet is one of the most competitive industries in China. In order to fully understand the competitive status of China's Internet industry, the improved radar charts are used in this paper to evaluate the competitiveness of 49 Internet companies listed on NASDAQ. Improved radar charts can not only examine the weight of each index directly, but also can measure the balance of development by comprehensive algorithm effectively. It is found by this new method that about 27% of enterprises are in the upstream of this highly competitive industry, 67% in the middle and only 6% in the downstream. By K-means clustering analysis, about 75% of companies at the phase of growth are classified as “conservative” oriented, and 83% of mature ones are “growth” oriented. Moreover, the “aggressive” oriented company in the industry could go far than expectation.
Nowadays,China has become a green development oriented society.From the view of total factors,a new approach is provided to evaluate the effectiveness of green development and environmental governance.This method is mainly to take the economic development and environmental governance as an interrelated economicenvironmental governance system,and the effectiveness of green development and environmental governance is defined and measured mathematically under the framework of the two-stage non-radial directional distance function.Following the principles of interpretability,analyzability and expressiveness,the total factor performance index and the total reduction index are used separately to measure the effectiveness of the green development and the environmental governance.It is found that the two-stage economic-environmental governance system is technically efficient if and only if the green development and environmental governance are both efficient.The evaluation results by this new approach for 30 regions in 2011 indicate that China's green development is at its early to intermediate stage and the environmental governance is only at its early stage.Therefore,there is a long way to go for us as for the green development and environmental governance in China.
Graduate students from school of economics and management have a significant heterogeneity due to the students' background and the academic discipline. In order to improve the quality of graduate students' cultivation, the central energy theory from cognitive psychology and the idea of collaborative management are employed to design the teaching mode of "leap step matching and collaboration in and out of class", which has been successfully used in the degree course of "Advanced Statistics". Many years of practice shows that this teaching mode has both practical and reference value for many other research methods education.

Financial evaluation of listed companies is realized by taking debt paying ability, profitability and operation ability as evaluation standards with the aim of investigating financial situations of companies comprehensively and systematically.The paper puts forward an improved TOPSIS decision-making method.In this method, opinions of more subjective policy makers have been involved: decision makers' evaluation of property utility rather than original data is applied; policy makers' effect is reflected by fuzzy numbers in order to know values of fuzzy uncertainty.In the meantime, in view of inaccurate definition of utility values of property data by decision makers, fuzzy numbers are used to describe utility values of property data.Decision makers' consideration about comprehensiveness and balance of property utility of optimal decision-making schemes is involved, while Ward analysis is further conducted to financial performances.At last, rationality and effectiveness of the method are verified through analysis of specific instances about financial performance evaluation.
The average life expectancy of Chinese has grown 8.45% with the fast development of economy these thirty years. In order to measure the health efficiency level and detect key factors that have the impact on the national health, the stochastic frontier production function is employed to measure the health production efficiency of each province in China. And the panel data regression model is used to test the. significance of factors or determinants that may improve or lower the health production efficiency. The relevant data are collected from China National Bureau of Statistics Yearbook from 2010 to 2013. The results show that the provinces close to the production frontier change little across the four years, whereas the provinces away from the frontier are becoming few. That more and more regions are productively efficient explains the average life expectancy growth in China. The factors that have significant impact on the health efficiency are those related to climate, health care fee, per capita income and the air quality. It is found that the air quality contributes most to the improvement of health production efficiency, and then the health care investments. Hence, the urgent task for a higher level of health productivity in China is to strengthen ecological protection and environmental governance while keeping steady economic growth and more health care investments.
The modern supply chain were more vulnerable to risk, supply chain risk mainly comes from many aspects of the internal and external environment, the supply chain industry products background, upstream and downstream supply chain relationship, decision support.The study found that the need to establish information sharing mechanism, multilevel supply chain defense system, the principal-agent mechanism and supply chain emergency mechanism to build flexible supply chain, in order to achieve the purpose of supply chain risk management.In this paper, the establishment of a complete supply chain model with variable structure, through the simulation method for quantitative observation of supply chain flexibility curve, and abstract to describe the elastic curve of a set of parameters; after the design of simulation experiment to observe the different supply chain structure parameters (inventory level, supply chain, supplier selection for number of sources) influence supply chain resilience curve.At the same time to observe and analyze the supply chain by the recovery phenomena rules in the process of risk impact and elastic.And finally the quantitative impact evaluation of supply chain structure parameters on the supply chain flexibility.
In the paper, a ranking method is presented for decision-making units.Based on the classical C2 R model, a new ranking model is obtained by introducing a virtual decision-making.According to the value of rela-tive efficiency, all decision-making units can be ranked.Experiments show that the ranking method can reflect the computational result of C2 R model better.Moreover,it can’ t make the value of relative efficiency too large like the super-efficiency method.Not only does the method provide a sufficient basis, but it is very simple.It is deserved to note that it has embodied the systemic efficiency.
With the rapid development of the real estate industry in China, a growing number of real estate companies have chosen to be listed on the stock market. In order to assess the ability of raising funds in the market and its impact on the enterprise performance, a real estate company is divided into the operating stage and the financing stage, and both stages are connected in series. This paper aimed to evaluate the operational efficiency and market efficiency of some top-100 companies in 2012 listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock market by conducting two-stage DEA. The results show that about 75.9% of the companies involved in evaluation have a high operational efficiency, and only 14.8% of them are performing better in the market. The main reason for the inefficiency comes from the financing stage, and the low market efficiency leads to the inefficiency of the companies. By decomposing the technical efficiency into pure technical and scale efficiency, we found that it is the pure technical efficiency in the financing stage results in the market inefficiency. It comes out that under the current economic condition in China, real estate firms should be make cautious decision regard to financing by listing in the market.
This study explores the antecedents and consequences of service climate in G2B e-government service providers. We employed a case study method in this exploratory research with the objectives to identify key influential factors of service climate from both organizational factors and psychological factors and its impact on service quality. Interviews with frontline service employees and their managers revealed ten factors from organization such as training, and confirmed the impact of positive psychological capital. Our findings highlight the positive psychology and some special factors like IT-based management as predictors of service climate and provide a new managerial insight on how to improve service quality. At last, limitations and suggestions for future research directions are discussed.
In practice, returns on investments in IT cannot be directly verified and it is difficult to identify the proportion of the shared IT budget allocated to each stage for multiple production process. In order to measure the IT returns on each stage directly, this paper proposes a simultaneous production functions model for the multiple production process connected in series. This model can be used not only to identify the impact of IT on firm performance, but also to estimate the technical efficiencies of each stage for multiple production process. It can be shown that the difficulty of identifying the shared inputs in each production stage will disappear with this new model when those decision making units have the same allocation of IT budget.
This study uses self-organizing map to identify potential benchmarks based on the similarity of input use.The supper DEA efficiencies are used to identify the industry leaders.Different from other researches,the appropriate target is finally determined based not only on the DEA efficiency scores but also on the choice preference of competitive strategies such as cost leadership,product differentiation and focus strategy for the decision making units.An empirical study on 50 Chinese banks with 2011 Annual Report data shows that the proposed method is very practical in selection of competitive strategies-oriented benchmarks for inefficient units.
In line with the firms and businesses in Chinese market,a new course,data analysis and management modeling is designed for the information management and information system students.Some classical data mining methods are introduced to them by the research-oriented training procedure.The course,whether instructor controlled or equally involved in the class,are both ability orientation and traditional knowledge transfer.Collaboration among the students is not only in the class but also in the examination when they are encouraged to the mathematical modeling competition.The teaching practice in 2010 indicates that the course design is acceptable and it provides a new case in undergraduate teaching reform.
针对研究性教学不利于学生系统掌握知识体系和教学工作难于量化的难题,分别从教学与课程组织形式的角度,将教学具体划分为四种模式,即知识导向下的权威控制型与平等参与型、能力导向下的权威控制型与平等参与型。并提出在高年级专业课中可以根据教学内容将多种教学模式有机结合,在保证知识体系完整性的同时,进一步拓展学生的创新能力。另外,通过对四种模式中研究性教学实施的程度进行合理赋值,提供了一种教学工作量的评估方法。
Drawing from competitive value model and knowledge sharing theory,we developed a research model to explore the impact of developmental culture,group culture,hierarchical culture and rational culture on ERP explicit and implicit knowledge sharing.Field survey was conducted and 343 questionnaires were collected from 115 firms.Results of structural equation modeling suggest that group culture has positive impact on ERP implicit knowledge sharing,while hierarchical and rational culture is positively related to both ERP explicit and ERP implicit knowledge sharing.
By statistically investigating the categorized training in economics and management at the Harbin Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2011 and the quality differences between academically-oriented and application-oriented graduate students,aqualitative analysis is conducted to discover the causes of a dramatic decrease in the number of application-oriented students.According to our findings along with the positioning of research universities and features of economic and management research,recommendations are presented for further optimization of categorized training for graduate students of economics and management.
With the development of IT industry, Chinese IT firms have become listed on overseas stock markets one after another. Decision-makers are mainly concerned about firms’ capacity and efficiency of raising funds overseas. In order to assess their performances, IT firms are defined as a two-stage production process. The first one is the operational process and the other is the market financing process. This paper aims to evaluate and analyze the operational efficiency and market efficiency of 28 Chinese IT firms listed on NASDAQ from 2008 to 2011 using the advanced DEA method. The study shows that the inefficiency mainly results from the market financing stage. Decomposition of the technical efficiency indicates that it is not the scale but the pure technical inefficiency or the week capacity of raising funds overseas lowered the market efficiency. Therefore, IT firms should cautiously choose financing by listing overseas under the current international economic downturn.
There are various critical tasks in the different phases of Enterprise Information Systems(EIS) lifecycle,thus top management needs to exhibit different leadership styles,so as to guarantee the success in the each specific phase of EIS lifecycle.Based on an exploratory single case study of a corporation located in Weihai with a long term informationize process,it is found that transformational leadership is more effective for the adoption phase,transactional leadership is more effective for the implementation phase,and a mixed leadership style is more effective for the assimilation and extension phases.The study is able to provide guidelines for the firm to select the most appropriate top leaders taking charge of EIS throughout the lifecycle.
At present, technology adoption has become a major field of study in information systems,there are few prior studies to examine influencing factors of mandatory adoption of technologies. In order to compensate for this gap, we build and test a model of mandatory enterprise adoption of an e-government technology. Based on the prior marketing theory, and through on-site interviews and telephone interviews,we can know that the factors are different during the different stages of the new products launch. The specific influencing factors are: (1) market preparation stage-awareness; (2) targeting stage-self-efficacy and compatibility; (3) positioning stage-flexibility and price; (4) execution stage-convenience, trust and assistance. Combining the four core technology adoption beliefs in the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT),we construct structural equation model (SEM). We test our model in a survey of 94 Inner Mongolia enterprise,they are issued a mandatory Safety Control System of the Important Unit to access e-government services. We find that only the social influence is not significant on enterprise satisfaction, while the performance expectancy, effort expectancy and facilitating conditions have significant impact on enterprise satisfaction. Among the external factors, the assumption about core technology adoption beliefs is verified. We discuss the theoretical and practical application for governments promoting technologies whose use by enterprise is mandated.
文章通过分析近几年发表的133篇相关学术论文发现,我国学者已掌握了结构方程建模技术,对建模细节的说明也越来越规范,但在模型识别、等价模型等方面还存在一些问题。通过对结构方程使用规范和应用现状的分析与讨论,使学者能更规范的运用结构方程建模技术,并使其能在管理学研究领域发挥更大的作用。
