This chapter describes political engineering at an atomic level, that is, addressing what makes a competent elected official and using the office of president of the United States as an example. The authors published a series of books and associated papers that presented the overall construct in applying systems engineering and information technology to improving government systems and performance. Here is a demonstration in applying concepts to help citizen-voters strengthen their ability to analyze and evaluate the candidate and incumbent performance with a standard approach and criteria. Since political parties have a responsibility in vetting candidates bearing their brand, the authors encourage political leaders to focus on improving their process because citizens depend on them for candidate quality and integrity. Being a part of pluralistic democracy is a serious responsibility that requires continuous improvement.
Gov4You is a federal government agency responsible for managing and sharing citizen information for large groups of the population. The Gov4You department was created almost 15 years ago to meet the election promise of providing better information services to the citizens. The department was setup to provide complete digital services for citizens. The digital citizen services must cater to the large demographic differences, and for those that are digitally savvy as well as those without any access to the Internet. These services are currently provided by several different departments that sometimes require physical visits by the citizens to the departments with a lot of paper work for identification and service request forms. In this paper, we employed triple bottom line (TBL) accounting and considered threats to cybersecurity in the context of natural gas and global supply chain sustainability. The global supply chain is a diverse assortment of contingent claims contracts and relationships that span the world. It contains both risks and benefits. In this study, consideration is given to the balance of consequences. We propose a sustainable economic model that preserves the positive dynamics of capitalism and accounting principles while improving collaboration between industry, landowners, and environmentalists to optimize return on profits for companies, provide royalties to landowners, and satisfy the planet's environmental concerns. Our TBL approach supports the need to preserve the best qualities of free enterprise and market-driven regulation profits while also providing social and environmental benefits. Our proposed approach is novel and may be helpful for decision makers in all sectors, from public to private. We have endeavored to make sufficiently objective and appropriate conclusions that guide how the model can be used in other sectors or by other decision makers. This review has several aims. First, we aim to understand the technical application of TBL optimization and to associate it with the use of mathematical and statistical analysis. Second, we present a fuzzy integrated linguistic operator weighted average application to better understand TBL and to strengthen the argument for its use. Finally, we debate issues inherent in applying analyses of this type with regard to stakeholder viewpoints and objectivity.

The chapter presents the executive pathway to understanding data and defines how you may develop and adopt smart data strategy to optimize enterprise performance. It is designed as a standalone and practically beneficial document. This chapter addresses a specific policy advocating smart data ideas applied specifically in support of executive enterprise performance optimization. Investing in smart data capability is a strategic investment that includes (1) maximizing use of available technology while (2) pushing forward initiatives like the semantic web that will yield substantial enablement of smarter data. Automated real–time auditing enabled by smart data is an area worth exploring and improving in this regard. Smart data will improve the enterprise via enterprise level data resource management with improved operational management reflected by more accurate and timely information, situational awareness, and decision making at all levels.
