The present study aims to explore the factors influencing learning satisfaction in blended learning implementation. The two variables are attitude and motivation. In addition, this study aims to explain the difference between students’ attitudes, motivation, and learning satisfaction based on gender and the scientific field. A number of 488 students filled out the questionnaires. The interesting aspect of the finding in this study is that attitude is more effective in learning satisfaction if there is motivation to intervene in the blended learning implementation. The effect of motivation as intervening in the model provides a higher significant influence on satisfaction in learning than attitude directly. Other findings, in this study, present that learning satisfaction on the learning implementation can be achieved by students without any difference in gender and scientific field. Science students have higher attitudes and motivation in learning than non-science students. Male students’ attitudes and motivation are higher than female students. The present study contributes to providing empirical evidence and explaining the factors influencing learning satisfaction. The variables are attitude and motivation, which influence students learning satisfaction. The present study, in practice, provides information for teachers and educational institutions to be able to upgrade student attitudes and motivation in blended learning in order to reach student learning satisfaction. Blended learning can be implemented sustainably by considering aspects of student characteristics.
Research has been conducted with the purpose of identifying the partial and simultaneous influence of discipline learn and self-confidence on student learning achievement in class X chemistry subjects at MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The kind of research adopted is survey research with quantitative approach. The research was conducted at MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru in the even semester of 2023/2034 using random sampling technique using the slovin formula so as to get a research sample of 122 students. Data collection techniques through literature studies and questionnaires. The results showed that discipline learn had a positive and significant reaction on chemistry learning achievement with a contribution of 17.5%, self-confidence had a positive and significant reaction on chemistry learning achievement with a contribution of 14.1%, and discipline learn and self-confidence simultaneously had a positive and significant reaction on chemistry learning achievement with a contribution of 18.2% the remaining part is likely influenced by other aspects not included in this research.
This study aims to produce an assessment instrument based on HOT using Quizizz application about a valid reaction rate by the validator, as well as to determine the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, and user response. This study uses research and development (R&D) design with the Plomp model. The subjects in this study were 2 chemistry teachers and 20 class XII students at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru and SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, literature studies and field studies. For data analysis techniques used validation by experts, as well as user trials. The validation results for the material validator obtained an average based on material aspects of 99.33 percent, construction aspects of 94.61 percent and language aspects of 95.16 percent. According to the media validator based on the substance aspect of the content is 97.77 percent, learning design is 91.25 percent, display (visual communication) is 96.67 percent and software utilization is 100 percent. The results of the purification of the item analysis data obtained that 15-item multiple choice HOT questions the valid criteria, had very high reliability criteria, 10 items were obtained in the "moderate" category and 5 items were obtained in the "difficult" category which had good discriminating power overall matter accepted. The user response score was 81.90 percent for teachers and 87.93 percent for students with good criteria. Therefore, the HOT-based assessment instrument helps the Quizizz application about class XI SMA/MA equivalent reaction rates which are developed to be valid according to validator material and media and get responses from both teachers and students.
Blended learning research has been developed recently. Still, research has yet to examine the rationale for emerging trends and issues regarding TPACK and Blended Learning in terms of educational philosophy. This article focuses on analyzing blended learning based on TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) from the perspective of the philosophy of progressivism. The educational philosophy of progressivism requires making progress consistently and applying it comprehensively, constructively, and innovatively. In progressivism philosophy, every human being also needs a change to be invariably developed and get improvement. The research method used is qualitative. This research uses library research to explore relevant concepts using various writings on blended learning and TPACK and then analyzed using the progressivism theory. This article explores the results of a literature review on blended learning, TPACK, and progressivism philosophy. A few books and articles published from 2006 to 2021 were searched using Harzing's Publish and Perish through Scopus, Google Books, and Google Scholar databases. The systematic review followed the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. The literature review includes 44 articles and books on blended learning, TPACK, and progressivism philosophy. In this context, a conclusion can be drawn where TPACK-based Blended Learning is an innovation in education following the needs and developments of the times, which is the implementation of the philosophy of progressivism. TPACK-based blended learning results from the philosophy of progressivism, which considers education to be moving in the direction of the times. The philosophy of progressivism requires a fundamental change in the implementation of education towards a better, quality, and real benefit for students.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of the ENACT model on promoting Indonesian college students’ views of social responsibility of scientists and engineers. The ENACT model emphasized the students’ epistemological understanding of science and technology using socio-scientific issue (SSI) approaches to enhance the social responsibility, and their science/engineering practices and experiences of taking action to resolve the issues. A total of 80 college students enrolled in a chemistry course in a university in Indonesia participated in the study, 40 of which majored in chemistry education, and the other 40 majored in chemical engineering. An instructor taught and implemented the ENACT project over 10 weeks as a part of the course. Data was collected by a questionnaire called “views of social responsibility of scientists and engineers (VSRoSE)” to explore the changes in students’ views on social responsibility. The participating students responded to the questionnaire before and after the intervention. In results, the effects of the ENACT project were notable in the chemical engineering (ENG) group. The chemistry education (EDU) group scored much higher than the ENG group in all the eight factors of VSRoSE in the pre-test. However, the score patterns changed after the intervention. The EDU group still exhibited high scores, but not much changed. The ENG group scores significantly increased in five factors and have presented similar score patterns with the ones of the EDU group.
Since the corona virus disease (Covid-19) was found in patients in Wuhan, China and this virus has shown rapid transmission and has become a worldwide epidemic. As a result, online learning is applied to all universities in Indonesia by using various applications. This work is aimed for analyzing the implementation of online learning during the Covid -19 pandemic and is directed for investigating the form, implementation and expectations of students in online learning. This research was involved 231 samples consisting of all chemistry education student at Universities in Riau. The data directly collected through e-questionnaire using google form. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed quantitatively and the interview data in the form of short questions were analyzed qualitatively. All the obtained data were carfully described in descriptive form. Basid oh the analysis, it was found that the type of online learning was dominated by using google classroom and zoom meeting, while the type of online learning was popularly used by student in the form of google classroom. Methods and obstacles in online learning were found using discussion approaches and internet networks, respectively. Meanwhile, the analysis of implementation and expectations in online learning were found the student responses with both in the agreed category with a value of more than 50%. Based on the data findings, the students of chemistry education have applied online learning, even though there are still many obstacles faced in online learning
This study aims to determine the level of collaboration, in-service training and teaching resource proficiency amongst Chemistry teachers by investigating the intermediary role of collaboration for training and teaching resources competency. A total of 184 Chemistry teachers in Riau, Indonesia, have participated in the survey. Using AMOS and SPSS 25.0 software to analyse the research data, we find a high level of collaboration, training and teaching resource proficiency amongst Chemistry teachers. Male teachers have higher proficiency level on all aspects than female teachers. The MANOVA test results show a significant difference in teacher resource competency based on gender. Male teachers are significantly more proficient than their female counterparts. However, they do not significantly differ in terms of collaboration and in-service training. The structural equation modelling test results show that collaboration has a significant role in Chemistry teachers' involvement in training and teaching resources. These research findings encourage relevant parties to design effective collaborations amongst Chemistry teachers. They also offer new insights for Chemistry teachers to keep on mastering teaching resources nationally and internationally.
The research aims to determine the effect of learning style on students’ performance through online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of study are 269 chemistry education students at three universities in Indonesia. The data collection of learning style uses a Likert scale questionnaire, and learning performance is obtained from students’ grade point average. In this research, students’ learning style was divided into visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with linear regression and ANOVA tests. The learning styles positively affect student learning performance by 4.7%, while 95.3% of other factors are not examined in this study. The learning performance of students with auditory is higher than visual and kinesthetic learning styles. Based on the inferential analysis, there is no significant difference in student learning performance based on student learning styles. Therefore, students with different learning styles have the same learning performance in online learning.
The use of online platforms was inevitable since almost all educational institutions closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This study identifies how conducted teaching and learning activities for a year after the university's closure in Riau-Indonesia. An online questionnaire was designed on a google form survey, and the link was shared with 341 students of the Teacher Training Faculty from the three most prominent universities in Riau-Indonesia. As additional data, 15 lecturers were interviewed via WhatsApp chat with open-ended questions. The Survey revealed that video conferences (zoom and google meet), google classroom, and instant messaging (Whatsapp and telegram) were the most widely used platform for online learning. The lecturers interviewed mentioned that they usually combine some media: Instant messaging, video conferences, and LMS platforms, to conduct online teaching. The combination of three kinds of those platforms was more effective in online learning than others.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada materi pemisahan campuran. Metode yang digunakan adalah Weak Experimental One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMKN Kehutanan Provinsi Riau. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif, dengan cara menghitung persentase aspek keterampilan proses sains siswa (memprediksi, mengelompokkan, menerapkan konsep, berkomunikasi, observasi, merancang percobaan) yang berimplikasi pada peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa. Aspek keterampilan proses sains siswa yang mengalami peningkatan tertinggi adalah aspek mengelompokkan sebesar 97%, dan terendah dicapai pada aspek menerapkan konsep sebesar 54% serta peningkatan penguasaan konsep pemisahan campuran sebesar 66,6% dengan kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi pemisahan campuran.
ICT bases tournament with quizizz application has role play to chemistry leaning study. This role can be seen from motivation and student assessment aspect. This research is design experimental quasi “The randomized pre test-post test control group design” and the data analysis is using t-test for comparing experiment and control class. Learning with this bases can improve the motivation and result of student learning. Students believe that they can be the best in study with this quizizz application. It becomes the wonderful time to study with excited, happy, and the material is easy to understand. DEVELOPMENT OF E-MODUL BASED ON MOODLE IN HYDROCARBON TOPIC Abstract This study aims to develop e-module with Moodle applications on hydrocarbon materials. This e-module with Moodle application has several advantages, namely learning is more exciting, and learning remotely can be done where educators can still control learning, assessment and giving badges to students who succeed in being the best. This Moodle-based e-module also has discussion forums, quizzes and CBT-based exercises, and there is a feedback page and has an access-right restriction security feature where unregistered users cannot open the e-module. This research method is development research (Research and Development, R & D) with the ADDIE model development model with the instrument of data collection is the validation sheet and questionnaire of respondents. The data analysis technique is by calculating the percentage score of the validation assessment and user response. The results showed that the Moodle-based e-module developed fulfilled very valid criteria from aspects of visual communication, learning design, content, and ease of use with a score of 90.23% in terms of material and 95.67% in terms of media. The results of the test responses of students and teachers each scored 91.67% and 93.45%.. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar e-modul dengan aplikasi Moodle pada materi hidrokarbon. E-modul dengan aplikasi Moodle ini memiliki beberapa kelebihan yakni pembelajaran lebih menarik dan dapat dilakukan dengan jarak jauh dimana pendidik masih dapat mengontrol kegiatan pembelajaran, penilaian dan memberikan lencana bagi peserta didik yang berhasil menjadi yang terbaik, terdapat forum diskusi, kuis dan latihan berbasis CBT serta terdapat laman feedback dan memiliki fitur keamanan pembatasan hak akses dimana pengguna yang tidak terdaftar tidak dapat membuka e-modul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan model ADDIE. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi dan kuisioner responden. Teknik analisis data yaitu dengan cara menghitung skor persentase penilaian validasi dan respon pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis Moodle yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dari aspek komunikasi visual, desain pembelajaran, isi, dan kemudahan penggunaan dengan skor 90,23% dari segi materi dan 95,67% dari segi media. Hasil uji respon peserta didik dan guru masing-masing memperoleh skor 91,67% dan 93,45%.
Learning outcomes are a description of the development of student knowledge starting from the learning process to the end of the education program when students graduate. This study aims to analyse the differences in student scientific motivation from the aspects of self-efficacy, responsibility and student curiosity in learning chemistry (used a conventional, realistic and hybrid image). The sample of this research was 100 students from high school were surveyed in the Pekanbaru. This study used a science motivation questionnaire with variables of self-efficacy, responsibility and anxiety. The research data were analysed using SPSS by looking at the frequency with which students answered each item of questioner. The results showed that students had high motivation from the self-efficacy aspect. Students also have a sense of responsibility to learn well in the teaching and learning process. And have a high sense of anxiety
Abstract E-learning-based collaborative learning has proven to be an effective type of learning to improve student learning outcomes and motivation. However, the course review horay (CRH)is crucial to this learning as a supporter of learning. It is proved that E-learning-based collaborative learning with CRH not only improves learning outcomes and motivation but also shows the relationship between motivation and learning outcomes. The previous learning that did not use the CRH does not demonstrate the relationship between motivation and learning outcomes. This study applied 3 cycles which were conducted through lesson study. In Cycle I, the learning was performed by utilizing cooperative learning based on e-learning. After that, in Cycle II, the learning was performed by using collaborative learning based on e-learning. Furthermore, during Cycle III, the process of learning was conducted by utilizing a collaborative model based on e-learning with CRH. It was found that there was an improvement in learning outcomes before and after learning in each cycle. If it is compared, the motivation and learning outcomes in Cycle II were higher than those in Cycle I, and the motivation and learning outcomes in Cycle III were higher than they were in Cycle I and II.
The skills of chemistry teachers in Rambah Hilir upstream of Rokan Hulu Regency can be improved through training in the making of chemistry practicum modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). Without chemistry practicums it will be difficult to learn and will be a scary lesson for students in school. For this reason chemistry teachers are needed who are skilled in making practicum modules. In this service, socialization, training and coaching have been conducted so that teachers can independently create PBL-based chemistry practicum modules. The results of the activity showed that the perception of the trainees was good, namely that 81.25% of the attitudes of the participants were categorized Very High and 18.75% were categorized as High. Participants in this activity showed enthusiasm and activeness, mastery of the material, creativity, use of language and ways of conveying ideas still need guidance. Participants have successfully created a chemical practicum module with the subject of electrical conductivity, how to separate the mixture and test the food properly. This service is important so that teachers can apply the 2013 curriculum with a scientific approach.
Education has an important role in the effort to create quality human resources. Chemistry can be understood through three aspects of chemical representation, namely macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to look at students' understanding of chemical bonds using the concept of flow maps based on the gender. The sample of this study was 171 high school students of the XII level in Pekanbaru. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 by looking at the frequency of students in answering questions and outlining the answers. The results showed that students understanding are below the average based on the frequency of students in explaining and answering questions given. The results of the t test analysis showed that there was no significant difference in understanding of male and female but based on the results of mean showed that male had a high average value compared to female scores. The results of this study are expected to provide information for teachers to improve cognitive thinking and understanding of students and teachers are expected to develop various questions therefore students have a lot of experience in describing questions and understand well the concepts of chemical
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5-e pada pokok bahasan laju reaksi yang valid berdasarkan kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, kegrafisan, dan penyajian. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan R and D (Research and Development) dengan model 4-D. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi dan angket respon guru serta angket respon peserta didik. LKPD yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh 2 orang validator yaitu dosen Pendidikan Kimia FKIP UR, kemudian diuji coba kepada guru dan 30 peserta didik dari dua sekolah di pekanbaru. Skor rata-rata validasi aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, kegrafisan, dan penyajian terhadap LKPD yang dikembangkan masing-masing adalah 95,83%, 87,5%, 97,5%, dan 87,5% dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 92,08% (valid). Sementara dari uji coba terbatas pada guru dan peserta didik melalui angket diperoleh skor rerata guru 84,9% dan skor peserta didik 88,8% dengan kategori layak. The purpose of this research has been to produce LKPD based on learning cycle 5-e on the subject of valid reaction rate based on feasibility of content, language, kegrafisan, and presentation. Research is done by research and development research and development (R and D) with 4-D model. Instrument of data collection in this research is validation sheet and questionnaire response teacher and learners. The LKPD that has been developed is validated by 2 validators namely the lecturer of Chemistry Education FKIP UR, then tested to the teacher and 30 students from two schools in Pekanbaru. The average scores of validation of feasibility aspects of content, language, kegrafisan, and presentation of LKPD developed were 95.83%, 87.5%, 97.5%, and 87.5%, respectively, with an overall average of 92, 08% (valid). While the trial is limited to teachers and learners through the questionnaire obtained the average score of teachers 84.9% and 88.8% of learner score with decent categories.
Research on the development of comic-based student activity worksheets (LKPD) with a 4C approach (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity and Communication) on chemical equilibrium material for high school is an innovation in the development of teaching materials in order to achieve the demands of 21st century learning that facilitates and inspire students to be able to think critically, communicatively, creatively, innovatively, and collaboratively. The study was designed using research and development design (R & D) with a 4-D development model. The validation sheet and user response questionnaire are research instruments designed and then analyzed and produce data in the form of assessment and suggestions by the validator team, teacher respondents and students. Feasibility aspects of content, language, presentation, graphics, and characteristics of comics with a 4C approach with an overall percentage score of 93% by the material validator. The results of the percentage of users by teachers are 95% and the percentage of students is 88% with very good criteria. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that student activities worksheets based on comics with a 4C approach that produced is valid and can be used on Senior High School on chemical equilibrium material. PENGARUH MEDIA PREZI DAN EXE-LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL PEMBELAJARAN KIMIA Abstract Development of information technology in education such as the existance of media that derived from e-learning has made it easier in teaching and learning process. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Prezi and eXe-Learning media in students’activities and their learning outcome. This study used a quasi-experimental design. The research instrument used test questions based on subject of chemistry bonding and molecules with the participants are 72 students from Senior High School in Pekanbaru. The students come from 2 different classes: class used Prezi (36) and class used eXe-Learning media (36). The result showed a significant difference in students’ activities between groups that used Prezi and eXe-Learning media. For learning outcome, there was no any significant difference between student that used prezi and eXe-Learning media. Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam bidang pendidikan seperti penggunaan media pembelajaran e-learning mempermudah proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas media pembelajaran prezi dan eXe-Learning dalam hal aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan instrumen penelitian berupa soal ujian pada materi pembelajaran ikatan kimia dan bentuk molekul dengan sampel penelitian peserta didik sekolah menengah atas di Pekanbaru sebanyak 72 orang peserta didik yang terdiri dari kelas yang menggunakan media prezi (36) dan media eXe-Learning (36) . Hasil analisis didapati perbedaan yang signifikan aktivitas belajar kelas yang menggunakan media prezi dengan media eXe-Learning. Sementara untuk hasil belajar kedua kelas menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas yang menggunakan media prezi dengan media eXe-Learning.
