This study examines the Manyanggar ritual practiced by the Dayak Bakumpai community in Central Kalimantan as a mechanism for social resilience and conflict resolution. Two research questions guide the inquiry: (1) How does Manyanggar function as a symbolic medium for reinforcing social cohesion? (2) In what ways do community members interpret it as a conflict resolution tool? Drawing on an ethnographic approach, the study integrates in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis conducted during fieldwork in 2018. Findings demonstrate that Manyanggar operates as a ritual of purification and symbolic communication, facilitating social bonding and the negotiation of cultural and religious identities. Drawing on symbolic interactionism and Alatas's concept of articulatory labor, the study examines how Manyanggar has evolved within an Islamic moral framework while preserving its indigenous social functions. These findings contribute to broader scholarly discussions on indigenous knowledge systems, vernacular Islamization, and the role of ritual performance in contemporary peacebuilding.
Research on identifying 4C skills using the Pj4CS model remains limited, especially in biology education. Preliminary studies indicate that the 4C skills of prospective biology teachers still need improvement and optimal utilization in classroom learning. This study aims to analyze the potential of the Integrated Project-Based and 4C-Scaffolding (Pj4CS) model to increase global 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity). This research type is a quasi-experiment. The research instrument was valid and reliable before data collection. The research results showed differences in 4C skills between the pretest and posttest in the Pj4CS model. The t-test results showed significance at the 0.000 level for critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. A significance value of less than 0.05 indicated that the Pj4CS model effectively improved students’ critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Providing appropriate scaffolding in project-based learning helps students produce more creative project products. The Pj4CS model has been shown to positively impact improving aspects of critical thinking, communication skills, collaboration skills, and creativity, which are important life skills that must be developed in today's learning. Students are trained to develop critical thinking and communication skills through collaborative project design. The syntax of the Pj4CS model positively empowers 4C skills in biology learning. The research concludes that the Pj4CS model can improve 4C global skills (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity).
This study examines the role of blockchain technology in enhancing security within Islamic financial institutions, which adhere to Sharia principles emphasising transparency, fairness, and ethical conduct. The primary purpose is to explore blockchain’s potential to address financial risks and inefficiencies while ensuring compliance with Islamic values. Islamic financial institutions face challenges maintaining transaction security and transparency under Sharia constraints, especially as risks like fraud, manipulation, and operational inefficiencies persist. Blockchain’s decentralised ledger system offers solutions by ensuring immutable transaction records, real-time transparency, and secure cryptographic frameworks. Smart contracts further automate Sharia-compliant processes, reducing risks of non-compliance and fraud, while operational efficiencies are achieved through reduced costs and faster transaction processing. However, implementing blockchain in Sharia financial institutions faces limitations, including a lack of technical expertise, regulatory clarity, and inadequate infrastructure in many regions. These barriers highlight the need for capacity-building initiatives and robust regulations to support blockchain adoption in Islamic finance. The study emphasises blockchain’s transformative potential to revolutionise Islamic finance, fostering trust and operational excellence while overcoming current barriers through collaborative efforts. Further research is necessary to optimise blockchain’s integration into this sector.
The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject teachers in overcoming toxic culture that develops in the student environment, providing positive values to students by guiding students towards academic success, personal growth, and future readiness. This study focuses on the methods used by PAI teachers to overcome Toxic Culture and how the application of PAI Psychoeducation Teaching as an effort to overcome toxic culture is considered important to prevent toxic culture in students. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations and surveys. The subjects of this research were 3 PAI teachers and students at SMK Karsa Mulya. The results of this study indicate that Psychoeducational Teaching conducted by PAI teachers is very effective (94.93%) as an effort to overcome toxic culture in students. The methods used were dialogical methods and project-based learning methods, while the aspects of psychoeducational teaching implementation included group counseling sessions, integration of teaching materials with social issues, and evaluation and feedback.
