Business competition in the culinary industry is becoming progressively intense, particularly in strategic areas such as Pangkajene District, Pangkajene dan Kepulauan Regency. One of the cafés operating in this region is Cafe Tentador. The sales performance of the café demonstrated fluctuation from 2020 to 2023 due to various factors, including the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to sales performance, customer satisfaction is a crucial factor in maintaining business competitiveness. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of sales and customer satisfaction on the marketing strategy optimization at Cafe Tentador using the Fuzzy Logic method. The analysis, conducted using the Mamdani Fuzzy Logic approach to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies by considering sales and customer satisfaction factors, reveals that the current marketing strategy is at a moderate (fairly good) level. This indicates that while the existing strategy provides a positive effect on the company's performance, there is still a room for improvement and increased effectiveness. Recommended insights include enhancing customer satisfaction through satisfaction surveys, loyalty programs, and responsive feedback, as well as boosting sales through attractive promotions, collaborations with influencers, and menu development.
This research is intended to examine common grammatical errors found in the English speech produced by a Turkish YouTuber, Handeyavz, in her video entitled “Cozy Travel Vlog” within the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The study is based on the issue that many EFL learners can speak English fluently but still frequently make grammatical mistakes, especially during spontaneous communication. This phenomenon raises concerns regarding the relationship between fluency and grammatical accuracy in spoken English. Therefore, the research aims to identify the types of grammatical errors produced by the speaker and explore the factors contributing to those errors. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method using a content analysis approach. The data were gathered through documentation techniques by selecting the video, repeatedly observing it, and transcribing the speaker’s utterances into written text. After that, the data were analysed through several stages, including error identification, classification, description, and explanation. The results reveal that the most frequent grammatical errors involve subject-verb agreement, incorrect tense forms, omission of articles, and inappropriate use of prepositions.
This study aims to describe the role of teachers to shape students' disciplinary character and the strategies used to instill disciplinary values at Catholic High School (SMPK) Karitas 2 Surabaya. The study used the qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Interviews were conducted by researcher with five informants consisting of the school principal, guidance and counseling teacher, the head of student affairs, and a discipline teacher. The results of study indicated that teachers play a role as educators, guides, role models, and motivators to shape students' disciplined character. The teachers do not only teach about knowledge, but also instill of discipline values by positive attitudes and exemplary living. The strategies used by teachers to instill the value of discipline were including consistency of implementing the rules of school; habituation of positive activities such as 5S, group prayers, flag ceremonies, singing the national anthem; and implementation of an educational reward and punishment system. Consistency of implementing those positive habituation and rewards strategies to enforce the student’s disciplinary character need to be developed and implemented consistently because such strategies considered as having a greater positive impact on the formation of students' disciplined character.
Final-year university students face developmental tasks in preparing for the transition from higher education to the world of work. Career maturity reflects their readiness to address developmental tasks, including career planning, exploration, decision-making, and knowledge of the world of work. Objective: This study aims to describe the career maturity profile of final-year university students in preparing to enter the workforce. Method: This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected using a career maturity questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including minimum and maximum scores, mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage. Results and Discussion: The results of the study will indicate the overall category of career maturity and the profile of each dimension assessed. The findings will then be discussed from the perspective of career development and their implications for career guidance and counseling services. Conclusion: The career maturity profile can serve as a basis for needs assessment in designing career guidance and counseling services that are appropriate to the readiness of final-year university students.
