The University of Luhansk (officially Taras Shevchenko National University of Luhansk, often referred to as LNU), is the oldest university in Donbas region and has a reputation as one of Ukraine's most prestigious universities. Following the 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine and the establishment of Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), two independent institutions claim to represent this university. One continues to operate in the same campus as before in Luhansk, while the other operates from Ukraine-controlled Starobilsk.U of Luhansk grew out of an association of professors in the city of Luhansk that was formed by the Soviet authorities as Teachers' Training Institute in 1921.In addition to cultural and practical participation in the work of the Ukrainian society, the university participates in international projects, such as an MBA joint program with Franklin Pierce University.
The article examines the current problems of finding and forming professional competencies for managers of the sports and recreation industry using the experience of the United States of America and Eastern Europe as an example. The purpose of the article is to study the model characteristics of the functioning of the sports and recreation industry in the United States of America and Eastern Europe and to substantiate the complex of professional competencies for managers of this sphere. To achieve the set tasks, a set of general scientific research methods was used, in particular, systemic, competency-based, comparative and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of the sports and recreation industry. The following methods were used in the research process: analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, regulatory and program documents; comparative analysis to identify the features of the functioning of the sports and recreation industry in the United States of America and Eastern European countries; generalization and systematization of scientific data to substantiate the complex of professional competencies of managers; theoretical modeling method to determine the model characteristics of the functioning of the sports and recreation industry in the studied regions. The article proposes model characteristics of the functioning of the sports and recreation industry in the United States of America and Eastern Europe and substantiates the most important competencies for managers of the sports and recreation industry.
The article presents a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the legal and regulatory foundations for the professional training of future preschool educators to carry out pedagogical activities in the context of inclusive education. The relevance of the study is determined by current social challenges, the increasing number of children with special educational needs, and the necessity to ensure equal access to quality preschool education in accordance with national and international requirements. The article analyzes the main legislative, normative, and subordinate acts regulating the implementation of inclusive education in Ukraine, including documents in the field of preschool education, professional training of teaching staff, and ensuring the rights of children with special educational needs. Key requirements for the professional competence of future educators are identified, including their readiness to organize an inclusive educational environment, implement individualized approaches, collaborate in teams with specialists in psychological and pedagogical support, and engage in partnership with parents. The article highlights problems in implementing legal and regulatory provisions in the practice of training future educators, particularly the insufficient integration of inclusive components in educational programs, the limited practical orientation of professional training, and the need to update the content of pedagogical education. Based on the conducted analysis, directions for improving the system of professional training for future educators are outlined in accordance with the current requirements of inclusive preschool education in preschool institutions.
The article is devoted to the characteristics of the essence and structure of socio-legal protection of IDPs at the community level in conditions of prolonged armed aggression and decentralization of power in Ukraine. The relevance of the topic is due to the large-scale humanitarian crisis, evidenced by the number of officially registered IDPs as of December 2025, which is 4.62 million people, with the greatest burden on frontline and central regions. The author reveals the essence of protection as a combination of legal (registration, non-discrimination, access to services) and social (housing, education, psychological support, employment) components based on the principle of subsidiarity: the state determines standards and finances, and communities ensure the practical implementation of this principle through local programs and direct interaction. The structure of social and legal protection of IDPs is built as a multi-level vertical, consisting of preventive (prevention of displacement), current (during displacement) and post-displacement (integration/return) stages. The main emphasis is placed on the stage of protection of IDPs during displacement, where the community is the key actor. Consecutive blocks are distinguished: accounting and registration, housing, basic needs (issuance of documents, employment, education of children). Based on a comparative analysis of international standards and the regulatory and legal framework of Ukraine, the author states that the effectiveness of IDP protection in Ukraine depends on the coordination of levels of government, their involvement in decision-making, taking into account regional characteristics and the transition from temporary assistance to systemic local integration.
The article analyzes narratives of contemporaries in which the symbolism of a line from Taras Shevchenko’s poem «In one’s own home there is one’s own truth, and strength, and freedom» is interpreted. The line is taken from «To the dead, the living, and the unborn, my fellow countrymen in Ukraine and outside Ukraine, my friendly epistle». By «narrative», the authors understand a story about a certain event, a reflection, an interpretation of a phenomenon, or a way of presenting facts in order to form a specific impression or belief. The source of factual material consists of reflections by 10th–11th grade students, university students, and teachers, who were asked to write essays on the topic «In one’s own home there is one’s own truth, and strength, and freedom». The analysis of the material shows that at the turn of the millennium, the vectors for analyzing the language of Taras Shevchenko’s works have changed. Both scholars and ordinary citizens of Ukraine analyze the linguistic creativity of the Great Kobzar in the context of Ukrainian self-identification. Today, the focus of contemporaries’ attention is Shevchenko’s prophetic nature (prophetism), the sources of which include the books of the Old Testament prophets, the Psalter, and the Gospels. Shevchenko’s poetic prophetism also draws from folklore sources and popular beliefs. The motif of prophecy likewise originates from folk traditions. Therefore, contemporaries refer to Taras Shevchenko as a Prophet, an undeniable symbol of Ukraine, a genius, an artist, a philosopher, and a central figure in Ukrainian literature and history. The explanation of the symbolism of the words home, truth, strength, and freedom is carried out using linguistic analogy.
In modern higher education institutions, the issue of excessive administrative burden has become critical. This often leads to the "digital paradox" phenomenon, where the implementation of centralized information systems, instead of streamlining operations, merely increases the time spent on reporting. This study proposes a solution to this problem through the development and empirical verification of a personal automated system for tracking faculty professional activity. The methodological framework for this work is the Design Science Research (DSR) approach and the "Citizen Developer" concept, which empowers educators without specialized technical training to create their own adaptive digital tools. The proposed architecture integrates the Telegram messenger, the Make.com platform as a scenario orchestration environment, and the Google Gemini 2.5 Flash multimodal artificial intelligence model. The developed algorithm facilitates complex routing for heterogeneous input data, including text descriptions, voice messages, web links (e.g., to scientific publications or news), and images (e.g., certificates or event posters). The system performs semantic content analysis, extracts key dates, generates descriptions in Ukrainian, and automatically logs entries into Google Sheets with linked digital copies of the relevant documents. Experimental validation conducted at the Faculty of Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University (Poltava) demonstrated a reduction in the time required to record a single achievement from 4 minutes 31 seconds to 14 seconds, representing a 95% time saving. The paper analyzes the technical aspects of configuring system prompts to achieve a classification accuracy exceeding 90% and addresses information security concerns. The results demonstrate that the strategic use of accessible No-Code solutions enables the transformation of routine bureaucratic procedures into efficient processes, thereby freeing up faculty resources for scientific and creative endeavors.
