CircuitAvishkar2.0, the 2nd Edition of Industry grade hackathon came to action on the 27th and 28th February 2026 at the prestigious Reva University in Bangalore, organized by IEEE CASS Bangalore Chapter in close collaboration with the industry partner and financial sponsors Infineon Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. The event saw participation from 150+ students from various branches of B.Tech. and M.Tech, across 6 Indian states and 16 different universities. At the inception of CircuitAvishkar the organizing committee questioned the outcomes of hackathons: “Why do most hackathons end at the prize ceremony,” “Why not go beyond the traditional aptitude-based hiring,” “Why not the end goal be a career instead of a trophy.” The outset of those questions in 2024 was CircuitAvishkar - A one of a one of a kind hackathon which provides apprenticeship to students who perform well in the hackathon. The hackathon is designed to test practical and live technical skills over traditional theoretical understanding of concepts. It tests the aptitude and attitude of the candidate with a specific problem aligned to industry executions, and measurable & timebound outcomes defined. Students get to work on cutting edge technologies of Infineon Technologies India Pvt. Ltd, during the hackathon. The 2-day event started on 27th February 2026 with a lively Inauguration and ended on the 28th February with the announcement of the students selected for the further process of selection by Infineon Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. Under the unwavering mentorship of Dr. Rajiv Joshi (IEEE CAS Vice President of Industry), this event maintains a strong legacy of leadership, endorsed by industry experts and past CASS Chairs Mr. Ayan Datta of SanDisk and Dr. Devesh Dwivedi of GlobalFoundries with continued support from the IEEE Bangalore Section.
