By PCR-DGGE method,the paper studies the effect of companion planting Chinese onion Allium fistulosum L. var. giganteum Makino on the bacterial communities in root zone of grafted cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.).The results showed that with test plants companion planting,the Chinese onion decreased the diversity and evenness indices of bacterial communities in root zone of grafted cucumber.And the diversity of soil bacterial communities varied with the growing stages of cucumber.The sequencing of DGGE bands indicated that the characteristic bands of companion planting Chinese onion were classified as Acidobacteria,Actinobacteria,Sphingomonas and Pseudomonadaceae,respectively.

‘Yanfan 9’is a new tomato F 1 hybrid developed by crossing XM-2-10-16-3-5-9 as female parent and EL-10-4-8-5-13 as male parent. It is resistant to tomato virus disease and leaf mold. The fruit is round shape,red color,hard and durable for storage and transportation. The average fruit weight is about 200 g. It have a high yield and reach to 10.3 t · hm -2 . It is suitable for protected cultivation in China and open field cultivation in Moscow,Rostov,and Vladivostock of Russia.
Taking Chinese onion and grafted cucumber as test materials,we studied the effects of companion planting of Chinese onion on soil microorganisms of cucumber by determining species and numbers of fungi,actinomycetes and bacteria in the soil.The results showed that,compared with the control treatment,the numbers of fungi,actinomycetes and bacteria were reduced by 74.11%,74.12% and 65.58% respectively in the soil cultivated cucumber and Chinese onion in the fruiting period of cucumber.So cultivating with Chinese onion could inhibit the quantity growth of fungi,actinomycetes and bacteria effectively in the soil of cucumber.
The comparative trial of eight tomato combinations were carried out in solar greenhouse in early spring in Yantai,and the DTOPSIS method was applied to evaluate the agronomic characteristics of the eight combinations comprehensively,such as the disease incidence,fruit weight,yield,fruit firmness,soluble solids content etc.The results showed that the Ci value of YT819 was 0.667 3,which was maximum,and followed by YT-Y3,the Ci value of which was 0.557 1.And YT819 was most suitable for cultivating in solar greenhouse in Yantai,and the second was YT-Y3.
In order to provie basis for spinach cultivating in Yantai,on the basis of screening at an early stage,varieties compared experiment of overwintering spinach has been done.The results showed that every of seven spinach was suitable for cultivating in Yantai,from the aspect of leaf shape,leaf size,leaf colour and surfacing.But from the aspect of disease resistance and yields,'Tianxiuchaoji'and'Shijilv9088' appeared better.Disease rate and disease index of downy mildew and virus disease were all zero.Disease rate and disease index of leaf mold were 50%,0 and 18%,0 respectively.And theirs yields reach to 2 267.81 and 2 256.28 kg/667 m2.So 'Tianxiuchaoji'was the best suitable varieties for overwinter cultivating in Yantai,secondly was'Shijilv9088'.
'Hongyang pumpkin'is a new early maturing pumpkin F1 hybrid,cross-bred by taking Y-3-7-9-2-11 as female parent and Y-5-1-9 as male parent.It has early maturity,and grows vigorously.The first female flower usually sets on the 6-8 node.It takes 40 days from flowering to harvesting and 102 days from sowing to harvesting.The fruit is round and flat,with light salmon pink and fine appearance.It has orange flesh with 3.0 cm in depth and sweet taste with chest nut flavor.It has higher resistant to powdery mildew and virus disease than'Hongmi pumpkin'.The average fruit weight is about 1.5 kg.Its yield is 45-60 t·hm-2.It is suitable for cultivation in open and protected filed in spring.

In order to develop new hybrids which grow vigorous,bear fruit better,have high resistant disease.Thirty-two ornamental pumpkins were introduced from home and abroad,and the botanical characteristics were investigated.Twenty-two accessions which had steady and ornamental value were selected by observing the phenotype of self progeny.Twelve hybrids of ornamental pumpkin were bred,‘Huangtaizi’,‘Baixuegongzhu’,‘Fozhong’,‘Huaguan’,‘Qianshou’,‘Hualian’,‘Feidie’,‘Zhaoyang’,‘Dalingdang’,‘Xiaojinyu’,‘Longnv’and‘Fuxing’.New cultivars were popularized and applied in many places,Shanghai,Beijing,Chongqing,Anhui,Hebei,Heilongjang and Shouguang in Shandong province.
‘Yanhu No.4’is a new summer squash F1 hybrid developed by technique of induced breeding on space flight.It is an early maturing variety.The plant grows vigorously with short nods.Its leaf is bottle green with white spots,likes palm with five cracks.The first female flower starts from node 5-6.The long cylindrical commercial fruit is 20-22 cm in length,5.5 cm in diameter.Its average fruit weight is 350 g.The tender fruit is glossy with bottle green skin,and tastes crispy.The fruit cavity is small.It is suitable for early spring cultivation in plastic tunnel and greenhouse.It yields about 90 t·hm-2 in greenhouse.

The effects of different concentrations of Cu(superscript 2+), Zn(superscript 2+) and Mn(superscript 2+) nutrient solution on chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of cucumber seedling leaves under low temperature were studied. The results showed that Fv/Fm, ΦPSⅡ of cucumber seedling leaves could been increased under low temperature when cucumber was treated by high concentrations of Cu(superscript 2+), Zn(superscript 2+) and Mn(superscript 2+). This indicated that the photosynthetic apparatus of cucumber seedling leaves could been enhanced by increasing the concentrations of Cu(superscript 2+), Zn(superscript 2+) and Mn(superscript 2+).

Yanfan-5 is a new tomato F1 hybrid which developed by crossing with XM2-25-6-5-9-2 which was radiated by N ion and then was purified for many times as female parent,and XF5-1-6-4-12-9 as male parent.The plant was indeterminate growth type,which was vigorous,middle size leaves,oblate and bright red fruits,and about 160 g average fruit weight.Its everbearing ability was better and yield could reach to 10 000 kg/667m2.It was endurable to low temperature and light,resistant to virus and leaf spot and late blight.Its fruit could endure storage and transportation for a long time.The new variety was suitable for protected or open field cultivation and export.
The control effects of the shallot on pepper seedling root-knot nematode were studied.The results showed that this method could significantly decrease the quantity of root-knot nematode,increase the yield,reduce the SOD activitiy of leaves and roots and effectively prevent the root-knot nematode disease.Furthermore,the pepper could be continuous planted,its fruits were innocuous and had no pesticide residue through this method.The rate of control effect could reach to above 90%.

10 tomato lines tested were used to study effects of different hormones combination on callus and Shoot regeneration.The optimistic combination selected is MS+ZT 2.0mg/L+IAA 0.5mg/L.The results indicated the rate of callus and Shoot regeneration of explants in 10 tomato lines are different.It demonstrates endogenesis hormones of different genotype lines are different.Using regeneration system selected above-mentioned,Agrobacterium transformation factors were tested.The most transformation effect is pre-culture 2~3 days,Agrobacterium diluted to 30 times,infected time 20 minutes and co-culture 2 days.
